Congratulations to the winners and I must say you’ve put together a very good contest that made most of the members show their art skills. It was a very good contest while it lasted. We hope to see more contest in the local board in the future to keep the members entertained and engaged more in the local community. I should learn some art skill so that by next time, I can also take part in the contest😁

However, next time i its better if you were the judges, this is because i do not see any input of the judges unless it was done privately of which i think everything was to be transparent for everyone to see. My suggestion is that if you want to organize something like this next time. You can make your personal judgement. I know what you try to do here but it didn't work out as planned. That should be enough reasons to take your own personal decisions.

@dailyscrip this thread is not for argument. I think you were not selected as one of the judges. So back off let the selected personal handle what they where selected for. I think this was the main reason mia Chloe locked the thread.

@Pi-network314159 you should pay attention to details before you respond to someone. There was no argument between @Charlse Tim and @Dailyscript. Don't cause havoc or chaos with your speech. And i will tell you that response for personal favors will not take you far. Be responsible and respect other's opinion in things. @Dailyscript was only highlighting what was neglected during a conversation and it was for the greater good.

Congratulations to the winners specifically and to everyone who participate and contribute to this in one way or another. To you, the organizer and the judges involved, the local board appreciate your efforts.

This event is the first of its kind here and if we are to be honest with ourselves, it's very fair despite the fact that it's the first time. I don't know what lapses you observed that makes you conclude that it didn't work as planned. The board of judges is not a one man panel and all of them can not get it wrong at the same time. The contest has rules and I don't think it's wise decision for the judges to explain every process here for the public. It's not voting event and the organizer being the judge himself would make things worse because partiality will definitely play in. The judges deserve accolades for discharging their duty without favoritism.

Although, things can not be 100% percent but if you can tell the areas you think there was a foul play and you're not comfortable with, it will help the organiser to fix it in the next event. But advising one person (the organizer) to singlehandedly handle everything is not ideal in my opinion. After all, it's our collective responsibility to make things better here.

A big congratulations to the winners of this  contest, this is the very first of its kind in our local board and as such, there is bound to be some irregularities, but I am happy that we sumounted them all and here we are..
Congratulations to the host, and all the judges that worked, bringing one idea or the other, to ensure that  the winner emerge from this contest as we all have seen, and for the judges who failed to give their score as required for the determining the winners of this contest, let's hope you guys do better next time for the sake of the participants who possibly would have won because of your score.

I am one of the judges and you saying that you did not see any input from any of the judges is a disrespect bud, however, this is just a merit contest after all, but let's not do away with the fact that this could get bigger in the future.

Mia Chloe did the right thing by assigning other users as judges, together with him self to decide the winner of this contest, this is part of being transparent, as if he himself was the only one to judge who won, many would have suspected that he gave the winnings to his alt accounts, or user he has some private connection with, but with multiple people deciding the winner, there was no room for such manipulation.

And speaking on the process of selecting the winners, I can assure you it was as transparent as possible, the judges came up with a spreadsheet of all the contestants, with their usernames linking to their art submission respectively, judges take a look at the user's art submission and score it from 1 to 10, the three contestants with the highest scores came out as winners.

I am still trying to convince Mia Chloe to make this spreed sheet public for transparency purposes.

We just tested the waters and have seen how good It feels, though not without some irregularities like I did mentioned before in my previous comment, but that is completely normal with every first time, so, I believe that in the next contest, those chosen as judges will draw a lesson from this one and make that one much faster and better, till then, I wish everyone a prosperous year ahead.
