That's interesting. I wish them a lot of clients, because they're selling something nice, and accepting Bitcoin. Bitcoin can the conquer the kindergardens  Grin !

604  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Ethereum: Welcome to the Beginning on: February 09, 2016, 05:08:38 PM
C'mon guys, when will you start dumping? Surely the price is skyrocketing is it seems it's not stopping.

I wouldn't expect much dumping. The writing's on the wall now and the Ethereum network effect is poised to eclipse Bitcoin's.
The King is dead, long live the King

Exactly my thoughts, in normal conditions this would be a real good chance to collect some profits, but considering what Bitcoin is going through (The Block size debate just showed how poisonous the whole eco-system is) Ethereum is really shining and taking a huge spot in the cryptocurrencies space.

I don't have balls to trade this, 100$ in the next couple of years seems really plausible.

When you say "100$ in the next couple of years seems really plausible" do you mean for current value of Bitcoin ? Because in 10 years, even if the price decrease a lot, it will still be worth at least 20$ because of Bitcoin's price increase.
605  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH price soaring. Are you going to move some BTC into ETH? on: February 09, 2016, 05:03:21 PM
Everyone you thought that it will not pass 0,01BTC was wrong, because now we're at 0,0097 now Roll Eyes. It is possible that there will have a dump, and that's what I hope, for cheap coins Grin !

If there is an actual dump the price and bubble may never recover since people will be very cautious. I think it's correcting now a little bit but it's only going up since days and weeks, it seems like there are huge companies buying all they can, this bubble can't be real with just a few people, the volume is out of this world.

You're thinking like if it was a classic altcoin. Here, we're talking about Ethereum, a project that the first step is going to be achieved really soon and which offer something new and which is backed by some big companies.
606  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitfury: "16nm... sales to public start shortly" on: February 09, 2016, 05:01:27 PM
I am under NDA .
So just take my word for it.

How much do you think a board would cost to run 20 chips per board?  Subtract the price of the BF chips so I am just talking about the board.

20 chips should run 2TH at .11w/gh so 220W per board.  How big would the board need to be? 10" X 10"?

Qty 500 boards.

I am just curious as to the cost of the board in qty.

I don't have a ballpark price on hand but that's not too far from what we're looking to build. A pair of my boards would do 2TH/220W in approximately 6"x9" of PCB and screw onto an S1 heatsink.

If you make one of those 2T at  220w I will buy that for sure.

So we have the specifications ? That's true that 2 Th/s for a 220W consumption is really really interesting. If I buy or not will depend on the price.

608  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What to do with $125 USD? on: February 09, 2016, 04:52:23 PM
Do not gamble it ! This is the worst thing to do except if you really trust someone on sport bets or if you're good at it. In the other case, you could buy some altcoins, but this require some profit too.
609  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum question on: February 09, 2016, 04:45:40 PM
Yes, you can, that's the principle of Electrum and why I love it so much Smiley. However, I don't know if it will be in "watch-only" mode or not.

611  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There's a way to use Bitcoin for an Uber ride. on: February 07, 2016, 05:25:16 PM
It is an idea that is long overdue. It might be much easier to pay for the rides using bitcoins just the way we do with credit cards.

That's why the Bitcoin credit cards have been invented. I don't know if they really work well thought. Also, they're not really wide-spread so we'd need to wait a bit to see them everywhere.
612  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum to go up or down? on: February 07, 2016, 05:23:15 PM
Interesting, I actually learned more about Ethereum from this thread than from all the other threads I've read on it combined.  Too bad Yobit doesn't list it, I'd trade some.  Looks like it's exploded since this thread was started.

This thread was started at the beggining of the listing on exchanges, and had been maintained then, so it reflect well every movement. What I regret the most is to don't have mined when I could have won around 1 ETH per day Cry...
613  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There's a way to use Bitcoin for an Uber ride. on: February 07, 2016, 05:18:08 PM
That's cool to have this possibility, however, I don't this easy at all, so I'm not really sure if will be really benefical for us Undecided...

Maybe not right away until Uber or Lyft start directly accepting Bitcoin, or somebody might get smart and start a "ride sharing for Bitcoin" service. But the point here is to just use Bitcoin whenever possible and also use Uber or Lyft whenever you need a ride someplace.

Lyft, what's that ? An Uber concurrent I think. Yeah, you're right. If someone was smart enough to start an Uber concurrent based totally on Bitcoin and decentralisation he would be rich, really rich Wink !
614  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum to go up or down? on: February 07, 2016, 05:13:27 PM
Finally it went up, and really quickly. In only one day it went from around 0,0065BTC to 0,0075BTC and his run may not stop here !
615  Other / Off-topic / Re: When is it useful to borrow bitcoin? on: February 07, 2016, 05:11:37 PM
I'd say that it is useful to borrow bitcoins if you need to buy something quickly, like if there's a discount on an object with a countdown, and if you won't be able to have the money needed before the end of the countdown.

618  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bankroll management - Don't go bust all the time on: February 07, 2016, 04:59:50 PM
of course, most gamblers will forget all of the above once they're overcome by their greed and stupidity. two very important factors that I can't find anywhere on the above post.  Lips sealed
Ask someone to stop you when you go mad , it's work to me. Everytime i do gamble i always accompanied someone, and before start play ask him/her to turn off your PC/laptop when you looks in greed or will act stupid.

That could be a good idea. An other really good idea would be restrictions on the amount played by you in a casino. If this would ever happen I would go here for sure Grin !
619  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why are GPUs expensive all of a sudden? on: February 07, 2016, 01:40:43 PM
I am trying to buy a GPU as a gift and wherever I look, it looks like prices doubled from what they were like 1 year ago.

Whats a fair price for a 7970? 280X ? to pay

Where have you been looking?

http://gpushack.com/

This website catched my eye. Even if they're refurbished, they have a 2 years warranty that could decide me to buy one.

I predict 3210 and my bitcoin address is 1CMfb5cUG8o3PxPwy9XVDdnaaHS8pz2jps.

When will the contest end?

It will end "24 hours after this post time". Personally I'd predict that there will have 2036 active deposits. My address is 1CKyEE8dMuGU6YgfooBpEffemSwz5HBGAa.
