601  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reason why bitcoin won't last long (which are you afraid of?) on: October 01, 2018, 05:28:07 PM
After surfing through the good side of BItcoin I was asked to give reasons why bitcoin won't last by a friend I searched through the web and found the following

1: Exposure to Bitcoin-Specific Scams and Fraud.
2: Black Market Activity May Damage Reputation and Usefulness.
3: Susceptible to High Price Volatility.
4: No Chargebacks or Refunds.
5: Potential to Be Replaced by Superior Cryptocurrency.
6:Environmental Ills of Bitcoin Mining.
7: Bitcoins Are Not Widely Accepted.
8: Wallets Can Be Lost.
9: Risk of Unknown Technical Flaws
10: No Physical Form

Guess what non of those mentioned above was big enough to discourage my friend from joining Cryptocurrency (buying bitcoin).

Which of the following disadvantages are you afraid of and how do you think it can be resolved

Out of above mentioned reason I could only agree to one point ie 10th one "No physical form" but it is actually not right, if physical form could have done something then Google, Facebook, Instagram and many other software based companies would not be there. All other points I am not agreed to.
1. Scams are everywhere, its you to chose the right currency/investment.
2. There is hardly any space of black marketing, you mine bitcoin, earn it or buy it, you can not blackmarket it.
3. Volatility is an attractive feature among buyers and sellers of bitcoin.
4. Could not understand point of chargeback.
5. BTC is the king, nearest currency is currently way back.
6. Cannot comment on mining environment but bitcoin mining is not that bad and tough.
7. Bitcoin is being widely accepted.
8. If you secure the private key, BTC wallet is secure.
9. Till now no any tech flaw faced.
602  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's make more companies to accept bitcoin payment. on: September 29, 2018, 02:27:47 PM
Let's make more companies to accept bitcoin payment.

I have send email to some companies in the UK to ask them to add Bitpay as a payment option.

Let's start an Operation Bitcoin. All of us send emails to companies to ask them to accept bitcoin.  Smiley

Athough you have done good efforts but I don't think that companies start thinking to accept bitcoin on any induvidual's email, we can raise our voice about blockhain technology or crypto on social media groups, youtube channels elaborating its benefits, it may make some cooperates to give thought over it, rest putting it on every online platform will definitely give it a boost.
603  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin safer than banking? on: September 29, 2018, 01:37:38 PM
Reports have it that bank frauds still continue to happen despite of strict security measures being taken by the banks. Just between January to July 2018, just timeshare fraud alone had 1.155 reported cases. It's when you’re told you can go on a free holiday or get rich by joining an exclusive holiday club or timeshare programme, but you’re eventually forced to pay for it through small print in the contact. That is not to mention other types of fraud like identity theft etc.

This gets me thinking, is it safer to just have bitcoins, or cryptocurrencies for that matter since it's not regulated by banks? What do you think?

I do not think there is any comparison between banking and bitcoin at current situation, bitcoin is currently not a legal tender so any banking operations can not be compared to it, if we talk about fraud then its more in cryptocurrency than banking, online fraud are not common because there is high security in all data centers/ servers, fraud happens due to some negligence, currently we are opting to invest in bitcoin for a high return of our investment but the same time its a bit risky, I think considering bitcoin over banking due to online fraud is not a good idea.
604  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Can you make money when the market drops? on: September 28, 2018, 06:17:01 PM
The only way you can make money when the market is going down is using a site called BITMEX and shorting the cryptocurrency that you want to trade on. Short makes you money when the market is going down and Long makes you money when the market is going up.

Its nice to know about the crypto exchange that allow users to short position but how legitimate is that exchange, most of the popuplar  crypto exchange allow buying cyprto w/o margin and holding it, there is no much volume in crypto market as of now but in future it may grow like forex and I hope all exchanges will allow users to do over margin trading.
605  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Government trying to stop bitcoin, what I see on: September 28, 2018, 06:07:45 PM
Here is what I see each time the government tries to stop or control bitcoin-

Bitcoin is designed to be censorship resistant, peer-to-peer payment system designed to remove the control by centralized institutions like banks . When bitcoin eventually achieve mass adoption, it will not really be much of an issue if some Governments place a ban on it within their countries.

That is not a surprise and they are trying to do that through media and many sources most of the time but what they haven't understand that how can they control a decentralized currency. Because if they wants to stop a fiat currency or a social media site they can just take down there system through politics or lows but for bitcoin the core network is not centralized to any organization or a group of people so they can make bitcoin holders to fear and sell there assets or make some local restrictions but other than that nothing can be done until we have faith in it and that is the most important fact that can decide the bitcoins future

This pic is ban on bitcoin, most of the govt have already ban bitcoin but this is not making it unpopular among the common people rather people are heavily buying bitcoin at this price, within one year bitcoin may see the new height and govts may see one anothers months open with surprise, if some technology is giving common people another reason to live why govts are against it and that too when these govts have not done anything exceptional about the common people, what is wrong with bitcoin, ahh pls do not talk me about money laundering, I can only accept it if it did not exist before bitcoin.
606  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks will always be against cryptocurrencies? on: September 28, 2018, 05:47:21 PM
No, I do not believe that. We must admit that what has allowed banks to acquire so much economic power is their ability to understand where capital is, and make the necessary efforts to keep it.

Knowing that banks will never fight against capital, what I see today is a growing interest of banks to incorporate blockchain technologies into their processes, and because of their marked interest in taking over everyone's money, it would not be strange that in the near future we will see banks willing to accept cryptocurrencies to carry out financial transactions.

Banks are the most drastic financial institutions and these instituions work for their goodwill nothing else, banks never provide loan to the needy one but provide loans with a greed to those who rarely need it and then charge good amount of interest, I even have seen banks go beyond their agreement to charge the customer.
I am very happy to see that crypto world is giving tough competition to banks, be it in transations, loans of particular earnings, everywhere, banks are now frustrated and willing to boycott crypto which people are not doing, this is making banks more worried , banks will now have some other way to attract people to their honeycomb ie transferring them to blockchain, soon they will be accepting blockchain technology and accepting cryptocurrencies.
607  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin will be the safest investment on: September 27, 2018, 04:51:53 PM
A lot of crypto fans and investors are now worried about continuous bearish trend for Bitcoin price and other cryptocurrencies this year 2018. And now beginning to doubt  their initial commitment to the Bitcoin ecospace. A lot of people have forgetting the core idea behind the invention of Bitcoin. Most of us have forgetting that Bitcoin was created to challenge the established FIAT system where money can be printed without control and no regards for inflation.

This is entirely not the fault of most of us but it is because of the Bull run Bitcoin has enjoyed so far especially in 2017 where price reaches as high as $20,000. We all got greedy and forgot about the initial ideals behind bitcoin. We all want to cash in the same Fiat currency bitcoin is trying to challenge. This in my opinion is one of the reason why bitcoin price fell this year. We do not fully trust the crypto space yet.

Bitcoin is here to stay and will remain dominant for the future and I still consider it as the most secured investment in this digital age after gold. Below are some of the reasons why I think Bitcoin is a safe investment

1. Bitcoin has already achieved mass adoption though this is subjective . A lot people will now accept bitcoin payment without worrying about how to exchange it.
2. Bitcoin is limited in supply , only 21 Million Bitcoin can ever be created. Out of which 4 million is already lost making it 17 Million.
3. Bitcoin remains dominant in the coinmarketcap with 55% of the entire marketcap
4. Bitcoin current price is still higher than what it is this same time last year

Please I will appreciate if anyone can add reason why they think Bitcoin is a safe investment.

Falling of bitcoin value cannot be considered as its failure, bitcoin is safe investment and it has potential of growth more than of any other investment, bitcoin is widely accepted some many individuals all around the world thus making it a secure currency to invest, limited supply is again one plus point but it all depends on demand, if there is no demand than supply does not have to do anything to its value, if demand is high value increase with time.
608  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is technical analysis vital? on: September 26, 2018, 04:14:06 PM
Technical analysis is always based on the data which has passed it reflects where buyers are keen to enter and where sellers are keen to sell, most difficult thing in any analysis to know the take profit point and SL point, tech analysis can help you to get into good trade at a good time but its always not successful, keeping SL will protect you equity in that case, if you are considering to invest in any coin for a long term then fundamentals are quite important to read, the whole project, the background, acceptance of project in the market etc, as mentioned by someone in previous post, in your long term investment tech analysis can help you find a good entry and exit point, for long term analysis, higher TF should be considered like weekly or monthly TF.
609  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Google to lift part of its cryptocurrency ad ban by October, I see bull market on: September 26, 2018, 02:38:10 PM
Google will remove part of its cryptocurrency ad ban in October to allow regulated crypto exchanges to advertise in the United States and Japan.
Advertisers will need to be certified with Google for the specific country in which their ads will serve. Advertisers will be able to apply for certification once the policy launches in October.
What do you think about this development, will October be the month Crypto market starts its bull run ?

Source: https://support.google.com/adspolicy/answer/9142422

This is one positive news, I am afraid that Google introduce its own blockchain one day,  Google is because of users, users are not because of Google, cryptocurrency is being accepted by many companies and people all around the world, many top banks are coming into blockchain technology, hammering cryptocurrency by some giants is due to their fear about its impact on their current business nothing else, I hope we will see a new ERA of blockchain technology and cryptocurrency in coming time.
610  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: High risk results to high rewards on: September 26, 2018, 02:24:26 PM
https://www.livebitcoinnews.com/4-in-10-americans-will-never-invest-in-bitcoin-says-latest-crypto-study/

I've known some few friends who are into forex and stock investments. When they've learned that I engage myself into crypto trading and investments they discouraged me due to bitcoin's price volatility and unpredictable fluctuations. All I can say to them is that I only invest an amount that I can surely afford to lose and taking huge risks will definitely compensate you good returns as well. I bumped into this article saying that 4 in 10 Americans will never invest in bitcoin, which is somewhat realistic but still history can really tell that bitcoin has changed lots of millennials who took the risk and profited when bitcoin value skyrocketed to almost $20k last year.

So with this article it shows that there is still high percentage of Americans that is willing to take risks to invest in bitcoin just to make some good profit in the near future. What are your thoughts regarding this one? Share me your thoughts.

Ah nice to find a guy of same thinking as mine, topic of this thread attracted me, huge risk huge profit, but take risk of only the funds you can afford to lose, I have more than 15 years of experience in trading financial markets but the I only earned in crypto, may be due to no over margin trading here you can carry on your position till coin become of zero value which is practically not possible if you have invested in a good coin like BTC, ETH, LTC, XRP.
Keep patience crypto market will recover and we will see new heights of BTC.
611  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: WHOSE INVESTMENT PLAN IS BEST??? on: September 25, 2018, 02:39:09 PM
Trading is of 2 types rather 3 types when we come to forex, day trading, short term and long term trading, long term trading means holding your position from many days to many months, as far as crypto market is concerned day trading is a bit difficult as we do not have much fluctuation a price during any day total volume in crypto market is less as compared to Forex.

Now coming to investment in various coin, it may get huge profit but think about the people who invested in BTC at $19000, their investment now is 1/3.
while you do short term of long term trading your target price and SL should be in mind, I know a trader in crypto whose portfolio was around $50K, she was holding NPXS and now it has decreased around 10 times, its very important to have your profit level and loss level defined whenever you take the position, the most toughest thing in trading is to know the TOP and BOTTOM due to which greed and fear exists and most of the traders lose their assests, so before taking any position profit level and SL level should be well defined and when it hits any of these level one should look for a fresh position with fresh mind, position should be taken on some basis not blindly, if a trader follows these plans chances of his success are very high, last but not the least, DO NOT CONSIDER ANY FINANCIAL MARKET A QUICK MONEY MAKING MACHINE.
612  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 2% trading strategy, can this be applied for crypto trading? on: September 25, 2018, 02:14:20 PM
While browsing investopedia, I read about  2% rule where you will limit your loss to only 2% of your total capital.

Will this be applicable to crypto market? I always believe that you should wait for stock/crypto to gain atleast 20% to lock the profit but the 2% rule seems interesting.

Any insight? Anyone using this strategy?

2% rule is applied for traders who do not want to take much risk which is a good plan in trading but at the same time rewards will be less, if you want to keep SL at the lower leven then your position should be lesser if you take big position then 2% risk can be covered at a  nearby price which may easily be hit, for lower position you profit will also be less.
613  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to make cash without investing? on: September 25, 2018, 02:07:17 PM
How can I earn cash without investing? Can I earn a thousand dollars without investing or buying first?

This is a  big forum to earn money even w/o investing anything, first of all try to upgrade your rank on the forum, higher the rank, higher the earning, there are so many bounty campaigns running of different projects and some projects have really nice whitepaper and reward, you can select these projects as per your choice and work for them they will pay you in tokens which can further be exchanges on exchange in which that particular token is listed.

615  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: TRX.....TO SELL OR TO HOLD?? on: September 22, 2018, 05:19:57 PM
I bought a lot of TRX late July @ 0.00000470BTC (based on Expert Trader Advice Angry Angry) with hopes I bought at a low and was going to see a bull market soon Wink Wink. Now at A market Price of 0.00000292BTC. I feel I have held for too long and my Capital has bled out as well Sad Sad. Should I sell now or still Hold? Huh Huh Huh

Do not worry every cryptocurrenty is in red, TRON is a good project, it will back to the original price or even better, keep faith, do not get panic, just this if you had invested with any back your equity would grow to double in 5-7 years, give sometime to crypto market as well, atleast 2 years, you will se good days of your investment.
616  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Leave Crypto? on: September 22, 2018, 05:15:58 PM
Losers are those who invest in crpto market for getting the profit and do not book it when they actually have their equity grown, those people wait for more profit and suddenly market start making lower low and closed in red everyday, such people sells their asset in red and they keep on repeating it.

Give market sometime, it will be give much than expected , be patient, this is my suggestion to all investors of Bitcoin .
617  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Buys Crypto and Tokens on: September 18, 2018, 06:09:12 PM
I think it is only a matter of time before crypto will bounce back and gain its momentum to rise and make a big comeback for this year. Please kindly share some of the best cryptos / coins that you think will be profitable to buy right now.

Thanks much for any informations that will be shared here. It will be much appreciated.

Although in bull market most of the crypto coins will gain momentum and will rise to a good price but out of all these coins I like the most are XRP, XLM,NPXS, EDO and a new coin to be launched SPOKKZ, I find great potential in all these coins are these projects are backed by some real products, would recommend you to study a bit about the project before investing in any coin.
618  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Quit cryptocurrency trading its not for you! on: September 18, 2018, 05:55:58 PM
The reason why there has been a serious insurge of people into cryptocurrency mostly populated by newbies and novices is because someone somewhere told them they can make 100% to 500% in crypto within few days, lol but how many really had such experience.
The worst still is that some don't even think learning is necessary in the crypto market, and so they just invest their money in crypto and manage to know how to open and close a trade, and as soon as any candlestick chart turns red they dash their coins into the market in fear to cut off more loss and the cycle continues till nothing is left.

If you are doing this at the moment just quit crypto trading its not for you.

Trading in general is not for everyone.

This is no different than the Nasdaq internet bubble of 2000 or the huge bull market of 2017 in the global stock markets.

There was a small percentages of retail traders that only made money. The rest most likely got greedy bought at the top and ended up making nothing or losing their entire life savings.

Trading Cryptos is no different. There are some that can make some profit off it, but for most it becomes a losing business due to fear and greed.

Agreed to above all points, its not about crypto trading only, this rule applies to all the financial market trading, be it forex, crypto or equity market, greed and fear are two main enemies in the financial market, the only positive thing I find in crypto trading is there is no margin available as of now with most of the brokers so trader can take a risk as per his/her assets even if he/she holds it for some months/years incase of loss, it may recover and will not become zero
619  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: DO YOU BUY WHEN THE PRICE DROPS SHARPLY ? on: September 18, 2018, 05:50:17 PM
Good day, mates.

My strategy is to buy coins when the price drops sharply.

Sometimes I fail, because the price drops more than I expected.

But, to prevent this worse situation, I put 30% of my budget at the time of initial investment.
If the price getting down again, I put 30% more.

With this strategy, I am getting some money so far.

In conclusion, I recommend you guys to buy coins when they drops rapidly.
After sharp drop, there should be sharp rising.  Cool

Sharp falls are very risky to trade, its like catching the falling knife, always wait for prize to be settle down when ever there is a sharp fall, sometimes there is a term " dead cat bounce" happens if you can catch it you are lucky, in this scenario price falls rapidly and bounce back the same time.
620  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you pick your trades? on: September 18, 2018, 05:44:31 PM
How do you select what you invest your precious satoshi's in?

Free signals? Paid signals? Own TA? Depth charts? Pure luck? Acting on regular volatility?

Personally, my tipple of choice is depth charts. Would be happy to debate the relative merits and hear how other people make it work for them.

How do you protect against dumps (Bart!)? How do you pick the coins you want to analyse? Are you successful?

As far as I am concerned, I wish to divide my assets in 2 categories, long term investment and daily trading, for long term investments you need to chose a potential coin which has low value, for daily trading you should be strong in either of analysis, technical, fundamental and sentimental. Paid services are nothing but wastage of money.
