601  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did you learn from your gambling mistakes? on: October 20, 2017, 09:11:16 AM
No i always lose in. gambling and i always keep on my mind that i will never do any gambling again and again but once i get my money i always play gambling and never took any chances to quiz i realize that no matter how hard you tried if you’re chasing something its really hard to get it tho.

Then you must find ways to stop this habit otherwise you will lose a lot of things in life with this habit. It is not so easy to stop once you addict to any of these games but also it not an impossible thing to do. You should decide to stop first and then spend your free time in outdoor activities with family members or with friends who don't talk about gambling then slowly you will come out of this addiction or a habit.
Yup im looking forward for stopping i already lose tons of bitcoins because of gambling and now i have reason to stop because i found a true love which is i want to save money for the future purposes she loves bitcoin too and i know were meant to be. I spend my time in sports and the same time i will spend my time with her.
Even people already know about how to stop themselves from playing gambling but still they like to continue as they are always expecting to make more and more money from gambling and in turn they even lose their own one.

Sometimes the intention alone is not enough to fulfill our desire to stop gambling. Other things outside ourselves such as, the supportive environment and friends will give a big influence in order to achieve that goal. Although we intend to stop gambling, but if we are still in the gambling neighborhood and make friends with gamblers, then the intention will be very difficult to be fulfilled.

I think most of the time, it is not enough. The desire to stop should be really strong and actually the best thing to do is keep busy and keep your mind out of gambling and concentrate on better things. A supportive environment is truly a good thing too. So to do this, you must admit to yourself and to your loved ones you are addicted and you want to be better.
602  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gaming Site Offering Bitcoin...... on: October 20, 2017, 08:54:12 AM
The online gaming site Slotland just announced they are offering deposits and withdraws in Bitcoin. The company stated thet a deposit will be processed immediately and withdraws will take affect the next business day...

This is a great move to the future........

I think this should be in Bitcoin Discussion area, this is good for the space, they don't want to miss out on the huge gain, just imagine Bitcoin has done more than 5X return this year and it is still likely to rage higher

This should not be in the gambling discussions but in the gambling section as that is the correct place to make threads about casinos offering bitcoin as a way to play with. The gambling discussion section is indeed that, to discuss about gambling and not about announcing a particular casino. So your recommendation is totally incorrect, so OP please move this.
603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: return as soon as possible and win back your losses . on: October 20, 2017, 08:39:47 AM
We all can lose in gambling  and lose our money but shall we stop or try to win back what we lost ?

For me we should just stop. There would nothing be good coming out of people chasing their losses, there is a greater chance that you will lose than win all those back. There have been countless stories talking about these situations when they tried chasing their losses and miserably failed to do so. They all ended up with more debts than money.
604  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do small investments make sense? on: October 20, 2017, 02:53:26 AM
For me 0.01 btc is quite high amount for newbie like me. Yes. small investments make sense, I prefer investing small amounts rather than big one because small investments will also give you small lose Smiley There is always a risk in investing huge amount but at the same time a huge profit. Newbies always start with small investments and always learned a lesson from their lost.

I don't think small investments make sense (this refers to HYIP site) because in the first place, why do you invest? Ofcourse you want to make profit in fact. But if you invest a small amount of money I may say you are just wasting your time waiting for a little amount of profit, we all know that most of investment site not really return benefit after a year of investment and others will just disappeared because they lack in managing the company. So this will lead to scams and lending your precious time.

Why do you even do HYIP investments? Those are scams obviously and you still support them? Yeah it profits you big amounts of bitcoins but generally they will only pay a small amount of what they receive and if you're lucky then you'll get something out of it. But its not something that is consistent and sometimes the site will likely run away on the first few days ultimately locking your money forever and will just remain as a number on your screen.
605  Economy / Gambling / Re: Investing in btc casinos on: October 20, 2017, 02:45:30 AM
Investing in btc casinos are at the best of its time.

While Btc is hitting all time highs once every short time-spans, btc stock or btc earnings give the investors profit more than what their investments promised.
Although you don't really profit a lot but the increasing value of bitcoin would help you to be more profitable, it's actually worth to invest especially if you have a decent amount of money because it will give you a good return. The ROI in casino investing is not short term so you have to be more patient waiting and while you wait do not worry because casino always win which will guarantee a profit to you.

Only I wouldn't suggest to invest in any casino without making some research first. There are a lot of scammers which even don't plan to open a casino, they just collect money from the investors and disappear. It's better to invest in a known and respected casino which runs at least two years and has many positive reviews.

If you're investing in a shady one then don't do it. There are a lot of well established casino sites that accepts investments like cryptogames, yolodice, safedice, and kingdice. All of which are promising and doesn't looking like sites that will just run away with your coins. I guess you're correct that you should research first, but that is already a given as something an investor should have as his own due diligence in investing his own money.
606  Economy / Gambling / Re: losing from freebitco.in on: October 20, 2017, 02:39:57 AM
according to my opinion if you are experienced player then you need to play with big amount if you are confident on your game and if you are new or not too experienced then you need to play with some small amount. you should remember win and lose are the part of every game.
Why you want people to lose big amounts? There is no guaranty that you can win money if you play with big amounts instead you can lose that big amount in this dice game.
With big amount we can gain big profit too, so there are a short way to earn on one/two click then withdraw and also lose our bitcoin in that way too.

In dice game even before you get one win you may get continuous losses to eat up all your bankroll so betting high amount is very risky. What you said looks very easy to do but if that is possible then many people would have tried that method to earn easy money every day but in this fully luck based dice game, you always get unexpected results so you should be very careful to bet high amount.

The thing is that gambling in freebitco.in is not ideal for any gambler! The amount of house edge is too high there! 5% house edge is just plain highway robbery for a gambling site. There is a super slim chance you will win the games there. So I don't recommend anyone gambling there for the hell of it. Anyway, there are so much other gambling sites that are far better.
607  Economy / Gambling / Re: Earn 0.012BTC in 3 days on: October 20, 2017, 02:31:49 AM
I have participated in 999dice.com, but have not found the formula to win, it is hard for me
did you know about that site ? the owner just run wanna pay and run with the money from deposit on his web.

Yeah, I read somewhere about this site. There was an issue they were cheating their players. That's something to be wary about the site. I would not play on a site that has a bad history even if it was just once. I would avoid it all through out even if they were able to do something about it afterwards. The problem is that they have some sort of tendency to scam.
608  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: losing 50 bitcoins gambling on: October 20, 2017, 02:27:16 AM
How would you feel if you lost 50 btc after gambling... https://nitrogensports.eu/betslip/92ff9f2dmRCeSttM0U0a1dPZ0tTSDd4OW4vZz09/r/2744 What's the biggest loss you've taken before, and do you have any good coping strategies? I do wonder if it's better or not to express anger or to just try and ignore it as best as possible. Personally I just get angry and yell some swears, but curious how other people react when losing and any tips on coping.

In the event that I lost 50 bitcoins in a gamble, then I would inevitably be depressed and reflect on my actions as an individual with priorities. That is primarily the reason why gambling has the potential in destroying your life when it comes to decision making. It creates this endless illusion of you betting and betting again regardless of your winnings or losings. Gambling can never be profitable in the long-run and that link is the living example of it especially when YOU DO NOT KNOW WHEN AND HOW TO STOP gambling.
Can you imagine losing something close to 300k dollars in a few hours? I will be devastated, that amount of money is enough in my country to buy several properties, and if you hold for a long time and the price of bitcoin becomes higher that could be enough to retire and never have to work again.

Only rich people can gamble so much money like that in few hours and if it's a rich person there is much more money besides the 50 BTCs lost on gambling game. So I think this person wouldn't become mad about it... Probably this person would recover the 50 BTCs really fast with investments or income from any kind of rentable business. We think this is extreme because we don't have much money on our pockets like these big gamblers.  Cheesy

I guess that's true, only rich people gamble this much. But there some people that believe their bet is a sure win because they studied it well or they think the bookies made a mistake or that they have some sort of insider tip, but in the end they lose. Because of the advantage they think they had, they bet a big amount and just lost it.
609  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tips/picks/predictions are flooding the gambling discussion section on: October 20, 2017, 02:16:55 AM
I posted a while back a thread about this, somewhat not similar to this one as it is asking about whether you guys think these threads should be move.

Now this thread is about the situation here on the gambling discussion section. I believe there are too many of these threads around here and I think it's flooding this section. I see about 10+ of these threads on the first page everyday.

Probably now is the time to create a new subsection for these topics. Since I think they are a class of their own and should be grouped into their own place.

I for one, like that there's so many gamblers willing to share their picks and predictions in the gambling discussion section. Definitely would not be opposed to having picks and prediction section all of its own, I just dont see the issue here. Its not nearly as bad as how it was before the ponzi section got put in.

There is still a ponzi section to be honest. The investor based games are all ponzis, I don't think there is one there that is not a ponzi.

About these topics, I just find it unorganized to see so much of these threads on the gambling discussions section and I feel that it is actually ruled by these threads because of the fact that the first page is filled more by these threads.

Another point to consider is that it would be better if they have they own subsection so that people actually looking for these would have a better time finding them in their own subsection.
610  Economy / Gambling / Re: Dice site list on: October 20, 2017, 02:13:33 AM
Well, it is nice, but can i only play with bits? and how can i convert BTC to bits?

Bits are just a fraction of a bitcoin.  1,000,000 bits = 1 bitcoin

So the withdrawal fee of 242.52 bits is just 0.00024252 bitcoin  (or 24252 satoshis)

I think this is still pretty high considering the upgrades on the bitcoin system, but problem is nowadays the fees are going up again, not sure if someone is artificially buffing the amount of transactions in the memory pool. But usually when the memory pool is empty a price of 0.2mbtc is pretty high in my opinion. I would say that when the memory pool is empty a fee of 5 - 20 sats per byte is already enough.
611  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should I try to win back my loss? on: October 19, 2017, 05:03:27 PM
I would say that just don't do it. It involves a lot of effort to achieve such a goal in gambling. Chances are that chasing losses from his own pocket will result to more losses. That's the usually thing in gambling, so the best thing to do is to just hodl it for the long time and probably you'll get back the money lost.
612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can trading be considered as gambling?? on: October 19, 2017, 04:48:41 PM
Yes, Trading is one type of gambling but when compared to gambling it has low risk. In trading, some time prediction work and we can make some good amount of money but in gambling, the prediction will not work always.

Talking about the risk, it depends on the traders. For some people with less knowledge about trading then it has high risk as well. Trading can be considered as gambling or not, people have their own opinion. Some may say it is the same as gambling because prediction is involved like sports betting but some others may say trading is not gambling because it is not 100% based on luck.
Yes, people have their own opinion regarding trading but in reality, anyone who trades without basis or just pure luck hoping things to turn out in their favor with 100% guess, is just as same as gambling.
In gambling you either choose one side without any technical analysis, hoping for a greater good or pure luck, which makes trading different, cause with skills, there are ways you can avert huge losses and win more than you lose.
- Well, if anyone know and have certain knowledge about trading, they will know that trading is only considered gambling when they do not have any market analysis, they rely on emotions to make decisions and profit is dependent on luck. But with a true trader, luck is only a part of winning, most of them rely on their skills and analytical ability, they always have the calculations in terms of risk and is based on factors surrounding the market to make a decision, decisions and actions based on emotion, they will limit to the lowest level
I would have to agree, gambling is totally different but there is some element of gambling in trading. However, that doesn't mean they are the same and can be considered as a way of gambling. Gambling does only involve pure luck whenever you bet. Poker doesn't rely on pure luck, but it highly does. In trading, there is a chance you lose and that is when the prices go down, but you haven't lost yet since you can sell it off early.
613  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does bitcoin's price volatility affect your gambling habits? on: October 18, 2017, 11:59:30 PM
yes price volatility affects the gambling habits because if price is volatile and it comes to the down fall there will be a fear of losing money and that will stop further gambling. its up to the experience and luck of the gambler to win more and they habitually doing this gambling without any fear.they just do gambling.

Well I gamble a particular amount in bitcoins and not the fiat equivalent of Bitcoin so often times I'm not affected by the volatility that much because whether the prices go up or down I maintain my consistent stake of 0.0005 BTC per bet.
But I do change my fiat into bitcoin for playing gambling, therefore it really matter me when there is change in the price of bitcoin. because I play gambling uipto a limit and therefore I first do the calculation and after that I convert the limited amount into bitcoin for playing gambling.

I do this as well. Since I always convert my fiat to bitcoins whenever I am gambling, then I always convert it in my mind whenever I place every bet. So this ends up to be that I am gambling with its fiat equivalent. I don't really gamble as much but whenever I do, I just set a limit like $1 per bet is the max I will do. I've stuck with this and really just keep doing it and not really losing a lot.

615  Economy / Gambling / Re: Sportsbet.io Best Casino Ever on: October 18, 2017, 11:45:46 PM
Is it just me or are any other Americans being blocked out of the site? For me it says the websites not available in my jurisdiction. I thought most bitcoin betting sites didn't have these kind of regulations, or at least I can't remember ever having trouble with this.

Likely the site blocked people from the US. This usually is the policy of most online gambling sites, since the US has strict online gambling laws and they have really good implementation of the law which could potentially shut down the operation of these online gambling sites. That's why probably they blocked US players. Just use a VPN though, it wouldn't cause you any problems, I think.
616  Economy / Gambling / Re: Slots site with the best graphics? on: October 18, 2017, 11:40:40 PM
Usually slots have basic graphics and usually they have a game provider. That means a lot of these sites that offer slots are just basically the same since they all have the same game provider for their slots. Which is kind of boring sometimes, and a lot of them are pretty old. Though, I don't like slots anyway, so I don't really care. I prefer to just play other games like dice.
617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why people are sharing tips? on: October 18, 2017, 11:30:36 PM
In my opinion, there are a variety of reason why, some of them are:
1. Bragging (bragging rights if it is correct, and just go away if it isn't)
2. To ultimately sell their service (if it is good then people would want to buy the tips)
3. Just to keep record (like a diary of sorts)
4. Just for fun (some has so much time to even have fun at posting tips)
618  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying Drugs with Bitcoin ? on: October 18, 2017, 10:45:33 PM
I think it is a bad attitude, in my belief that drugs are not allowed, in terms of health even drugs can endanger themselves.
but it's back to each other ,, I just think that if there is anything else that is beneficial and beneficial to us, why buy drugs?

Because people can and it is a freedom everyone should have. Why hasn't the governments banned alcohol? It's a drug too. It's actually far more dangerous than marijuana, a lot of studies have already concluded this, but why? Because the governments are profiting from these things and the big alcohol manufacturers are constantly giving big amounts of money to officials.
619  Economy / Economics / Re: Btc can Survive without altcoins why altcoins, bcc and bitcoin gold cannot. on: October 17, 2017, 11:15:26 PM
From the historical data of cryptocurrencies markets behaviors, I come to a conclusions, that bitcoin can survive without altcoins, bitcoin Cash and bitcoin gold but altcoins cannot survive without bitcoin. Since last week bitcoin was getting pumping and most of the altcoins including bitcoin Cash was getting dumped. However, now that some altcoins are recovering bitcoin core is still getting pump. I will like to get your opinion on this. Thanks.

That is yet to be seen, if all bitcoins will fall, I don't think all the altcoins will die as well. I think that because they are all independent of each other they would survive, the only connection bitcoin has with most of them is that they are all pegged at bitcoin's price. If bitcoins die, I think something else will replace it and life will go on. It's not like cryptocurrencies all in all just revolves around bitcoins.
620  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are countries now copying bitcoin to create their own digital currency ? on: October 17, 2017, 10:50:33 PM
Seems countries are now meditating  in creating their own digital currency just like bitcoin which is now used by millions of people daily as a payment option and investment purposes.

Yesterday we reported on how Sweden is considering it’s digital currency because of the massive decline in usage of the bank notes by the citizens.

Now in a fresh article , japan is now reportedly considering its own digital currency which is said to be called J-Coin and is intended to streamline the financial ecosystem.

Read More=> https://zycrypto.com/countries-now-copying-bitcoin-create-digital-currency/

Oh so this was a promotion for the website, but very well, it is still a good topic to discuss.

Anyway, I do not think they are copying bitcoins or anything. But I think the future will be digital, so will be money. Hence, the governments will find a solution to changing money into digital currencies. Maybe indeed a good way to do it is to create cryptocurrencies that would not only transform money but also will be secure. However, if this happens, hackers will likely want to hack this more than any other thing in the world as it will involve a lot of money.
