601  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: The Chili – 30+GH/s BFL based Bitcoin Miner Assembly on: October 23, 2013, 12:34:58 PM
I have 3 chilis, all set up the same way and attached to the same machine, and two work great but the third one isn't recognized. When I run Zadig to apply the driver it comes up as "USB Serial Converter" instead of BitFORCE SHA256 SC like the other 2, and subsequently does not appear in cgminer. What am I doing wrong?

602  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: Purchased [OPEN] BFL ASIC Chips $59/chip for a limited time. Batch 2 - 80 Left on: October 20, 2013, 05:24:17 PM
Received my 3 completed Chili boards on Friday, and they are beautiful! Thanks, CrazyGuy, not just for the GB but for facilitating matching the chips with boards as well!
603  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitburner Fury - Hashrate Protection on: October 17, 2013, 10:55:56 PM
I've been trying to follow this thread, but may have missed this: Has anyone found the best/cheapest place to order the standoffs to prop these things off the ground, like in the pics?
604  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: YIFU IS AUCTIONNING? on: October 15, 2013, 04:16:22 PM
Lagged out in the final minutes, couldn't even rebid. Very frustrating.
605  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] CryptX introduces the PETA-MINE - 18,000 CHIPS IN SEPTEMBER/UPDATE on: October 09, 2013, 01:53:28 PM
I'd vote Havelock, also.
606  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Bitburner Fury - Hashrate Protection on: October 08, 2013, 04:44:35 PM
I got mine yesterday, also; received initial notification from FedEx last Monday, then it actually shipped on Friday and arrived yesterday.

After some very quick fiddling I got it up to ~50GH/s, at which it has been stable overnight. I have not flashed the firmware or gotten much farther in trying to get it to go faster. If someone has success, hopefully they'll post here, or we'll get official instructions on the steps to take to get to 64GH/s from burnin or cryptx.
607  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Closed]Avalon Chips - 0.081 BTC (Global+Escrow)-BATCH2 SECURED on: September 29, 2013, 09:40:49 PM
Did anyone receive PM about refund? I bought chips in a action so I'm a bit worried... I did get all PMs for voting but noting about process of refund or I was not asked for address.

For batch 2 refunds, there was just the voting PM. I think he is still working through loose ends.
608  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [Closed]Avalon Chips - 0.081 BTC (Global+Escrow)-BATCH2 SECURED on: September 29, 2013, 02:45:39 PM
Please pay attention everyone who has received their refund!

As you may have noticed, you have received the whole amount (exactly equal to what you have paid). This means that all processing (collecting, accounting, escrowing, organizing merge with other group buys for Batch2, requesting the refund from Avalon, refunding etc.) was done by the GB organizer for free.

Please understand that ordering here is different from ordering from Amazon in a way that your order processing costs are not covered by margins from other millions of orders. Please consider some processing fee/tips for t13hydra.

Remember that the whole situation with Avalon is not Steve's fault, and nobody is happy working for free.
Yes -- I can't imagine organizing one of these groups. Tip sent: a8ac9445ff601f226d7a27bd43696c3ff19ca0a095f6773d46a66041c7c76db1

It's Sunday, and that means the batch 2 & website refunds must be coming now.

And batch 2 refunds were not through John K anyhow, so there is no reason for delay of those, right?

I filled out the form to request a refund. Thank you for taking the time to sort through all this.

613  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [TENTATIVE] Avalon Gen. 2 Chips Group Buy on: September 24, 2013, 11:32:44 PM
I'm interested, from the same standpoint of still having some BTC invested in hardware which now will never have gen 1 chips in it, but could maybe see life with gen 2 (I have 3 Stumptown board orders).

I had 64 chips in GB2 (at least it was June 4, I think that was #2), and I'd be glad to have a refund please. I had not yet ordered any boards to go with them.

Interesting idea, Plazma. However, i don't really trust Avalon can deliver in October.. anymore.
In other news, chips will be refunded from both batches. Only chips at the moment. Whoever wants to stay in, reinvest in something else, is welcome to stay. Whoever wants out, will be refunded.
More news in the morning, i've got several pages of math to do. I hate to keep you in the dark, but i still need my numbers right.

What about this post? It says "chips will be refunded from both batches."
A) Does this mean something other than what it sounds like, or
B) Was there the intention to refund batch 2 but then something went wrong?

I received my chip refund last night; thanks for being awesome, Steamboat!
618  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 09, 2013, 08:00:42 PM
Labcoin: What is the reason for the drop from the original estimate of 6Th/s to 3-4Th/s to now 2Th/s for this initial batch? Is there a problem with heat?

Not really a drop to 2 TH, this is roughly the speed we're mining at now, it will reach 4 TH next monday. The drop  was from 6 to 4 TH and was caused by some underperforming part of the batch.

Keep talking.

I support the idea of offering some reward/encouragement to Tachikoma for his work so far, since he's jumped on this on his own without being motivated by the contest, and it's both a great tool for MasterCoin and wonderful for our visibility/acceptance as well -- it makes MasterCoin feel a lot more real, which will subsequently help spurr the coding contest.

I don't want to add too much noise to this thread, but holy cow -- http://mastercoin-explorer.com/ is amazing! That is some exciting stuff.
