601  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the transaction fee will high if I send small amount under $50 on: December 22, 2023, 09:29:11 PM
Then your transaction will be stucked up.

You've used the right words to describe the situation and that happens. So for example you've paid that $50 worth of fee and then it goes $100 worth of fee, those who will be paying the $100 will get prioritized than yours.

Um. No. Your transaction doesn't get stuck, it just gets pushed farther down the queue.

And you're really mistaken about the value of the fee. Dollar value has nothing to do with how miners prioritise; it's the weight of your fee vs the size of your transaction. A really small transaction (byte size) can pay $5 and still have a bigger weight value than a large tx (in bytes) with a $100 fee.

This is purely expressed as satoshi per byte. The more satoshi per byte you pay as fee, the higher up the queue your tx is.
Errmm.. you're right and prolly I've just explained it too subtle.

About the fee, I've just made it as an example for him to understand it easily for which I've used the worth of $ instead of sats/vB. But thank you for the additional details and corrections that you've said.
602  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the transaction fee will high if I send small amount under $50 on: December 22, 2023, 02:16:45 PM
Had a small question. Suppose today the average transaction fee is $50 and I sent over some BTC to another address. Now imagine the next day, the fee went up twice meaning $100, then what would happen? Will this effect my previous (pending/unconfirmed) transaction that I made? I'm not sure if I used the right words to describe my confusion.

It sucks that you've paid the high fee worth $50 but then the network fee is also volatile as it changes depending on how clogged it is. But it wouldn't surge that much quickly but it's possible.
603  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do casino owners benefit from creating multiple casinos? on: December 22, 2023, 12:47:33 PM
I have noticed that there are multiple casinos in the crypto space owned by the same person or company. I am curious about the reasons behind creating additional casinos when there is already a running and profitable one.

How does this practice contribute to their business? It seems illogical as it might increase operating expenses without an obvious benefit.

Gamblers, any thoughts on this?
It's just like any other business that expands and creates new brand for them so that the other customers that haven't reached yet by their first casino might still go for the other one that they've made without knowing that they're also it.

Some of them might be targeting new other customers that haven't been into the region where they operate. So it make sense that their expansion targets a new variety of customers from the other regions that they haven't been yet.

We see all these things also in the other business sectors where a known company expands and makes new name and products.
604  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Bitcoin will bring you hope and gambling will leave you destitute. on: December 22, 2023, 10:48:03 AM
We can always conclude and compare situations like this with people that have been rekt by gambling into spending it to invest in Bitcoin.

That's always the case that "only if" they've done that then they're in profit now. But unfortunately, they're not in the situation to think about investing.

They've chosen that path of gambling their money and even taken a debt because of it. The guy is certainly addicted to gambling and no one's gonna stop him but will be knocked out by the reality with that debt.
605  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have any one had experiences with banned bank/providers because of gambling? on: December 21, 2023, 11:52:09 PM
I've got friends that have multiple times closed their bank accounts due to gambling activities. Always check the TOS of the bank if you're going to open an account.

Most of them are infavor of having funding our betting accounts so before you do so directing your money from casino to your bank account. Don't do it straightly.

Use another platform where your money is going to go through before directly depositing or withdrawing from a casino.
606  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Arbitrage as Business on: December 21, 2023, 10:43:52 PM
I don't find with the opportunity of arbitrage from OP with trading between country but likely arbitrage in cryptocurrency trading is selling coin from one exchange to other exchange have difference price.
It was just an example that he has said but it's all about trading and arbitrage over exchanges and crypto to crypto trades.

Last year I earned much profit with arbitrage and take chance with coins have lower fees transaction such as Solana coin network and BSC Scan coins, purchase from DEX and sell coins on CEX exchange have higher price.
This is what arbitrage is in cryptocurrencies. While you and some have done it and probably can still see some opportunities from it.

There are traders that just gave up on it because of how vast this market is and sometimes networks get clogged so, there is a high chance to miss out the quick good runs from selling/buying at good prices.
607  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ledger seem compromised again on: December 21, 2023, 09:39:42 PM
Good news for all those that lost money in recent hack (I hope no one here was affected) as Ledger just announced via Twitter that they plan to reimburse all those that lost their money ($600k). Plan is to reiumburse everyone until end of February 2024. I guess they realized that their reputation is fucked so know they are trying to smoothen things up.

We are 100% focused on following up to last week’s security incident, making sure incidents like this are prevented in the future, and that the ecosystem remains safe.

We are aware of approximately $600k in assets impacted, stolen from users blind signing on EVM DApps.

Ledger will make sure victims affected will be made whole, and are committing to work with the DApp ecosystem to allow Clear Signing, and no longer allow Blind Signing with Ledger devices by June 2024.

Read more:

We affirm our CEO & Chairman @_pgauthier’s promise to make sure victims who had their assets stolen on Dec 14th, 2023 by the attacker together with angel drainer are made whole, including users who are not Ledger customers.

We commit, by any way possible, including gestures of goodwill, to make sure this is done by the end of February, 2024. We are already in contact with many impacted users and are actively working through the specifics with them.
That's good news for those affected on it. But I guess this is going to be the last time that they'd do a refund for the affected users since it is their fault.

Next time that something like this happens again, I don't think that they'll initiate a refund against the actions of these users. Both are at fault but Ledger should stop making a lot of support for these projects and should only stay to a few chosen.

Ledger already lost its reputation when it introduced a recovery service meant to restore access to your seed.
Yeah, that recover feature. That already made a huge noise on their reputation but we're not their target with such feature and sadly, despite the community's action against that. There will be newbies that will embrace that feature.
608  Economy / Gambling / Re: Responsible gambling on: December 21, 2023, 08:26:49 PM
We go back to every tip that everyone going to say about budgeting and that's true. Because we should only gamble with the amount that we can afford to lose.

And taking some breaks, you are not going to gamble all long, don't you? That's why you should always allot time during your free time so that you won't affect the other things that you do in life whether they're important or not.

You are not just living to gamble so, that's how you should allot time on activities like gambling. Make sure that there are no other things affected when you do.
609  Economy / Gambling / Re: RektBookie: Revolutionizing Sports Betting with AI Precision on: December 20, 2023, 11:46:02 PM
Your website doesn't seem to be a bookie in itself but based on what it describes you, you're finding the best odds that your users can bet on.

Is it just me or anyone finds the name of their casino doesn't appeal very well because of the word "rekt". Well, AI, token, I guess that we're getting the hint there that this is more than just a bookie of your own.

At the same time, as mentioned with that trust reference, it doesn't fit that someone's gonna try this out. Too many things mixed up.
610  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Succeeded in introducing Bitcoin to a friend on: December 20, 2023, 10:46:24 PM
Not a problem to me I guess since it's both of you that known each other and knew how much each of you hold. I also think that most of us have this similar type of story that we've got this friend and asked us about Bitcoin and told them to buy and then just hold it until they make a profit.

But when it comes to this, knowing how much I have, I never disclose it to anybody otherwise if I think the person is not trustworthy. I just simply say that I've got less in my holdings because I have to sell.

It's surprising to see someone that you've just met again although you're long time friends that has bought with that much. Because with my friends, they don't even want to place $10 for their first purchase as they're all scared.  Cheesy
611  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing altcoins now or during halving? on: December 20, 2023, 09:12:48 PM
If we are just about to invest, why not do it now? In fact, there is no perfect time to buy but we believe that bull season will come a few years from now and I think we are already in good time to prepare.
It's because they feel that it's still not the right time to invest. They only want to buy it when there's a lot of price actions that are visible to their eyes.

And when these actions come, they're going to think that it's already too much and priced in and that's another hard decision for them to make.

But if they just do it now and let things do come naturally and let them worry next abotu that decision. Whilst this time, it's unlikely that many who invested earlier or before the halving will regret.
The problem with many people is that they are investing money that they may need at any moment. That is, they don't have the opportunity to simply forget about the investment for a few years and then get a good profit. Or, for example, when the price falls even more, panic selling can happen. Not many people can make profit.
Yes, that's another concern from many of these investors. They invest the money that they're not sure if they can just allow to grow on this market without needing it.

But as soon as they need the money, they're going to sell no matter what the price is. Be it, win or lose, they're going to sell it regardless of the market situation.

Investing on this market requires patience and definitely the money that you will allot should be good to stay for long to maximize the profit or if not maximize, at least get the most from it.
612  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's your view on this? Is it fun or addiction? on: December 20, 2023, 07:45:57 PM
What if that guy is just trolling you all? IMO, I can sense that there's the obvious on it and I don't think that it is a motivation and it's just possible that he's having fun with you all.

But let's say that it's a serious one, you can't also determine that the guy posted that is already addicted just because of that quote. He might just stomped into it and just want to share it with you so, you can think of your actions.

I don't know but for me, we need more information about the guy and his habits to say that he's already addicted not just by a single quote he shared.
Troll or not, its not really that something new with these kind of post on which we do have those kind of post on where it turns out to be that something imaginary or something that it is really that
not something that usually happens on day to day living. If we do tend to look at on whats the post of op on which he's really that worrying about getting addicted but basing on the image that he had posted that signifies that you should be playing more or simply a line on where an addicted person would really be having then it would really be just that that contradictory on having
this kind of saying on which it totally opposes on the idea or things that you've been trying out to ask on which we can actually say that he's really indeed trolling.
It's giving people the push to keep on gambling and if you have to take a loan, you do it and no one's gonna agree.

Well, if someone is going to justify that they should gamble and take a loan because that's what these posts are. They're out of their minds and can't decide for themselves.

These people need some help not just with their families but with professional help that they need not to be gullible with such posts that are obvious wanting them go the wrong route.

615  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which type of gambling have more gambling addicts ? on: December 19, 2023, 11:45:43 PM
I don't think there should be a specific game for a gambler to be addicted to it.
Me either.

All of them are addictive and whether physical or online, most of the games are really enjoying and can make someone out of his mind when can't control it anymore.

We see sportsbettors here are everywhere, casino games are also in every place so there goes that despite we have our differences and types of games, there's no distinctive games that makes a gambler addicted because all of them can.
616  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You will burn on: December 19, 2023, 10:49:17 PM
I never consider Shitcoin as a proper investment.
In fairness to these people that are into shitcoins, if they've made money from them, we can't question their moves as that's how they work on this market and how they invest in.

But we're done with them, too much of them is going to make you crazy at all because they're just too highly volatile that you might miss a lot with some snaps if you don't get to monitor them.

I don't advise newbies to invest in altcoin unless anyone is fully aware of the risk involved. Then the person can invest the amount of money they are willing to risk. Because investing in altcoin is like gambling, you don't know the coin that can generate a 100x profit or the one that can burn their asset.

Bitcoin is the only crypto that doesn't have the pump-and-dump nature of other altcoins. So, investment: Bitcoin is more secure than other altcoins, and if an investor wants to make a profit with Bitcoin, they have to be patient and hold their Bitcoin till a bull season, or they must keep accumulating by DCA to accumulate enough Bitcoin that can earn them a significant profit.
I agree, Bitcoin is incomparable and newbies that are getting into this market should start all of their ways with Bitcoin.
617  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stop the self entitlement claims on others gamblers winnings. on: December 19, 2023, 09:38:47 PM
It's not mandatory for the winner to share what he won with a friend or anyone lol, it's a good thing the winner shared because if it was me, I wouldn't give it. There are really many people like this, even if you give, they will still say something bad, no matter what you do that is good for others, they will still say something. People like this are annoying, if you can do better than that donate your own money instead of hanging around or dipping.
These people truly are self entitled.

They think that a person should give back to them because they are fortunate and have won such amounts. But, that's not the real way of dealing life and winnings.

If someone gives them big or small amount regardless of the person's intention or whether it's personal money or just some giveaways because of winning, they shouldn't give the person negative reaction.

Take it or leave it, that's it.
618  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Could exchanges leverage on the current market trend to woo new investors? on: December 19, 2023, 08:23:00 PM
Most of them are doing that regardless of the market situation. That's why you see promos left and right from them and it's up to the newbies if they're interested with it.

Usually, these promos are even easy to comply but definitely going to require you money for you to become eligible. Like tasks that you need to complete and finish and you'll receive the reward.

Those are the typical promos that we get to see from these exchanges and it's part of their marketing to attract more customers to come and visit them.
619  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Stake vs Drake Event: a total ripoff on: December 18, 2023, 11:13:08 PM
Promos are like this are to be expected. The ones who even have wagered a lot coming to $20k or even more, there can be someone higher than that and the system will choose that one and as a consolation that $5 might give you some ease. But yeah, it's not worth it.

That's why with most of these promos, it's hardly to win there and your expectations from reality there is going to be far and that's why you shouldn't expect a lot from them.

What are they going to do with all the millions of emails + phone numbers they received from people?!

Just in affiliation they can turn that into millions as well... there were no privacy terms when the users emailed their data, right?
It's on them now what they should do with that but mostly, they will just keep it and might do some promotions again in the future sending notifications to all of it.
620  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gaming Future and AAA Projects on: December 18, 2023, 09:14:12 PM
Gaming Tokens are one of the best options to put some money.
Before there were but I have no idea this time.

Do you think that AAA Games have a future in crypto?
If these games are developed by companies like Valve, Sony, Microsoft, Nintendo, etc. You know all of those big known game development companies in the world, they have a big shot for sure if they'll integrate it with cryptocurrencies.

How upcoming projects can avoid a downfall like Axie Infinity?
I think it is inevitable but here's my take; listening to your community, continuous and active development that's in favor of the people and not the company.
