6001  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos are open - end of the Pandemic era. on: June 24, 2020, 10:31:32 AM

If I'm the woman there, I will not allow myself to get expose myself with other people and will not wear a mask. Not weird but the face doesn't matter anymore.

Not maybe but they really are protecting their employees and the business too because one case can completely ruin their business and will go back to closing again.
6002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "NEW NORMAL" Betting on: June 24, 2020, 10:28:27 AM
Casinos are the most affected in this pandemic because social distance is an impediment to providing their services in full and are now limited. The Covid19 can be presented even following the strictest controls because a small error could open the door and infect anyone. We can only take advantage of bets on games that can be carried out with a lot of effort today.
I disagree with this 100%.

If you will say that casinos are the most affected in this pandemic then there is a problem with you or maybe you are just an addicted gambler and that is what you only see. For me the most affected here are:
1. Employees of different companies/establishments who doesn't have job anymore because of the pandemic.
2. Small and Medium Business because some of them are closed either temporarily or permanently because of bankrupt.

These casinos have money that they've kept for a long time so they have funds to use in times like this. Yes the business sector is the one who got affected the most but casinos are not the most affected ones here.
6003  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Snipie's gambling investment test on: June 24, 2020, 09:50:38 AM
I put in a small amount also just to give it a test and its been up and down for a while.
I started off red for a while, it turned green yesterday (I got excited) only to wake up to it being red again. Haha

Oh well, in it for the long run  Grin

You do not need to wait for a long time. As long as you can see the green, you can close the investment and start with another investment. You should play safely in the investment so you can make a profit. No matter if the profit is small, if you can make it more often, your profit will become bigger.

But yes, maybe the red will stay for a day before the green will come again, so you need to be patient.

Does that make sense though?
As soon as I hit a small profit pull out and reinvest?
You can since the dilution fee in Yolodice has been removed for quite some time.
If dilution fee has been added again, every investment that you will make will have a 2% dilution fee.

Quote
"Dilution fee" remains inactive until further notice.
6004  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anyone else see a big bitcoin upwards movement coming very soon? on: June 23, 2020, 11:58:35 PM
I want to see an upward movement towards the price of Bitcoin soon but I don't think that it will happen unless there is a catalyst that will make it happen like news, articles etc.

This is my support and resistance for the price of BTC:
Resistance - $10,000 which is right now the psychological resistance
Support - 200 Daily MA.

If $10,000 will be touched and remain there for a long time then it can be a sign that it will go upwards movement. On the other hand, the 200 daily MA is a strong support for BTC and as long as we don't go below that line I remain bullish on BTC.
6005  Economy / Economics / Re: What if this pandemic persists till the end of the year? on: June 23, 2020, 11:51:26 PM
It's almost 6 months since the coronavirus took its toll on every aspect of human lives. it has been accompanied by widescale job loss, a rise in the unemployment rate, a reduced standard of living, and intense hardship. From the economic perspective, what will be the fate of the global economic situation and normal day to day business if this pandemic doesn't go away by the end of this year?
For sure most of us here experienced this for the first time and many aren't ready for it. Many remained jobless, some are even begging in the streets for money or even food for them to eat.

The virus' peak is around March-April where most of the countries imposed a lockdown to prevent it to spread. Now we are at the halfway of 2020 and the cure for the virus isn't there yet. A new vaccine for a new strain of virus can be created between 12-18 months at average so there is a chance that the virus will still be there by the end of this year although I can't say that it will remain a pandemic at that time.

Some of the countries are removing lockdowns already and some business are slowly reopening although small and medium enterprises and business are either closed permanently or temporarily because of this. I think that the virus will still be there till the end of the year but I don't know if it will remain as a pandemic or not.
6006  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 325 million new potential users on: June 23, 2020, 11:43:17 PM
I have watched a video on youtube regarding this and this is just a "rumor" for now since the article isn't backed up by any trusted sources.

Well, if this will happen then this will be a very huge catalyst for the price of Bitcoin. It will spike that much because this is a good news for all of the users and Paypal users that are involved in cryptospace. I've seen this news already for around 2-3 years ago regarding this but it didn't happen but now it came up again. Not expecting too much with this but if this will be implemented then good Cheesy.
6007  Economy / Economics / Re: Which is better, staking or investing? on: June 23, 2020, 09:35:29 AM
My most important question: Which is better, staking or investing?
I will share my opinion with this question.

What is staking??LINK
Quote
Staking is the process of holding funds in a cryptocurrency wallet to support the operations of a blockchain network.

Base on the definition above, staking is a process of holding funds in their wallet to support the operations. Now in order to hold the tokens, you need to buy it right?? Isn't buying = investing??
Your question is confusing because it is somewhat correlated because if order for you to stake, you need to invest some money to buy that tokens and hold for some amount of time.
6008  Economy / Economics / Re: Lives vs Economy -- sad truth on: June 23, 2020, 09:30:59 AM
The sad truth is that some of them are not getting attention from the hospitals, why? because they prioritize a person based on its age, why? because it would be more worthy if you save a productive person over an old and weak person. The government is really doing this for the economy in the future days.
I have read an article at around March-April I think and it is saying that this happened to Italy. Most of the old persons are remain unattended while they focus on the younger ones. I don't know if this is true but I don't want to assume that this is true and right now it seems that they've controlled it already although there is still some cases on the country, it is not like 2-3 months ago where the healthcare system of the country can't cope up.

Anyway regarding to what you are saying, can you give some proofs that this is really what they are doing. It might possibly true but you are just telling an assumption and what you are saying doesn't have any proofs. I have read in some pages in Facebook saying that there will be a time where depopulation will happen. This is just a conspiracy theory but if you will analyze, it will help the world for a long run. We have limited resources right now and in the next years, there will be a time where the amount of food supply can't cope up with the number of people around the world.
6009  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it just me or has the entry bar become a lot higher? on: June 23, 2020, 09:21:38 AM
Is it just me, or are people really ready to give out their identity just to buy some Bitcoins on an online exchange?
There is a choice for you. Either
1. You register on an online exchange to trade your coins but it really requires KYC but still you have a choice to not use their exchange if you aren't comfortable in giving your info to them. Or
2. Use DEX which is right now not that popular unfortunately.

Most of the popular exchanges right now are centralized like Binance. Its not that they are ready to give their identity out but they have no other choice but to do it if they really want to use the exchange. You can go P2P with a trusted midman/escrow if you want to hide your identity.
6010  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING SITE INVESTMENT on: June 22, 2020, 11:36:16 PM
Coin choice will matter even in long run if you consider the price of it in fiat. Imagine you are winning the investment at Yolodice but you are losing the price of your coin in fiat, so in the end, it will ended-up breakeven or a loss.
I agree with this and this is probably my reason why I only investing in BTC right now in Yolodice.

LTC and DOGE are basing on the price of BTC so if BTC go down so these 2 will be too and worse if some whales won with a huge amount then your profit will be lost too in an instant.

I've seen it too in 2018 where all of the coins including BTC going down not only 50% and some of them didn't recover anymore which is a bad thing for altcoins Sad

If you are quite conservative but if you want to invest in crypto then BTC is the best choice since more money are being put in BTC. I don't want to invest in LTC and even in DOGE TBH. I'd rather invest it into BTC or invest it into other investments Cheesy.

Ildefonso recalls how he taught Fajardo to make a living inside the paint
~
Quote
“Sabi ko sa kanya, hindi ka yayaman diyan dahil 6-9, 6-10 ka. Alam mo kung saan ang pera? Doon sa ilalim ng goal. Doon mo kunin. P150,000 lang suweldo mo dito, sabi ko sa kanya. Doon (sa ilalim ng goal), P500,000, ‘yung maximum,” said Ildefonso.
This is because not all Filipinos are born tall. Base on my experience in watching, there are not so many talented bigs in the league compare to other positions where there are many who always shine. JMF utilizes his height and Ildefonso's advice and we know what happened already.

He is now one of the best if not the best right now with many achievements and he is still on his prime. I just hope that injury doesn't come to him or his career will be doomed. (SMB Fan here Cheesy).
6012  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it possibleTrump Will Prohibit Bitcoin? on: June 22, 2020, 11:14:53 PM
Base on this statistics (posted on 2019): LINK

Quote
Cryptocurrency ownership by country:

1. Turkey 18%
2. Romania 12%
3. Poland 11%
4. Spain 10%
5. Czech Republic 9%
6. USA 8%
U.S is 6th in the world where they are owning cryptocurrency. That 8% might be a small number but prohibiting this 8% from using Bitcoin will still have an effect in Bitcoin. I don't think that Trump will do it but if he will do it then I just hope that it will have the same effect as when China did in 2017 where it spiked more and more Cheesy.
6013  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling addict steals $6 million of client funds to fund his gambling addiction on: June 22, 2020, 09:53:59 AM
A gambling addict who was a manager at AMP, confessed to the police that he stole over $6 million of client funds to continue his gambling addiction which only became worse in the long run.
Props to this gambler who know when to stop and when to confess his wrongdoings but still, he committed a crime and he stole funds of his clients so it would be better if he will just surrender and share all the things that he did instead of running away from authorities that may cause his life.

Lastly what really touched my heart is that the casino where he lost lots of money offered him counselling services, but he turned it down and the casino then decided to close his account to make sure he would not gamble again.
With what he did, I knew that they will help him. Gamblers aren't like him where he will confess all of his wrongdoings. This is a good offer by the casino by the way and anyway he can rehabilitate in the jail since he will not gamble there anymore.

Moral: Gambling addiction is real and harsh but stealing money to fund it is not right, please ask for help and don’t steal like he did.
This is like "Having a loan for gambling purposes".
Either way, having a loan and stealing funds aren't acceptable when it comes to gambling. Yes you can do it both but there is a greater consequences that you may face if the worst case scenario happens to you. This is also the reason why I don't gamble most of the time. I get easily addicted on different things especially in games but I can control it that easy too Cheesy.
6014  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: June 22, 2020, 09:45:11 AM
A funny incident occurred in the football championship of my country: one of the teams was quarantined because infected players were found. The match was not canceled, and as a result, one team played with full professional staff and 17-year-old boys played in the second team.
The result of the match is 10-1  Grin For football, this is a monstrous score.
If there is no pandemic then this scenario will be quite funny but with this that happened, I'm pretty sure that they will think thrice in deciding if the next matches will be continued or not.
On the other hand, it isn't that funny to see this kind of scenario because they have no other choice and cancelling is not on the options at that time.

Well, I think that they will not resume the next matches because of what happened or they will play one more match and see if the same result will happen. This is a terrible comeback for the football sport in your country.
6015  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: JPMorgan Says Bitcoin Crash Survival Shows It Has Staying Power on: June 22, 2020, 09:34:17 AM
I will support them if JPMorgan will apologize to what he said in 2017. This is what he said
"Bitcoin is a fraud that will eventually blow up".

Whatever these banking owners say to Bitcoin, we users doesn't care about it. They thought that what they are saying will help boost the price of Bitcoin but it isn't. Stupid bank owners especially JPMorgan who is criticizing Bitcoin 3 years ago and now he is supporting it.
6016  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Another bitcoin scams hit Canada on: June 22, 2020, 12:46:26 AM
There are so many scammers in this world, we should be careful when there are someone messages us out of nowhere if you don't know the number just ignore it especially when it is about money. You don't have to pay attention to those text messages. Always assess the situation if needed.
Whatever happens, the best thing to do right now is to secure all of our holdings whether it is Bitcoin or other coins at all times so that we will not be victims of scams like this.

Ignorance is bad for the people but in times like this where money is related, sometimes ignorance can have some benefits such as this. If you ignore a text especially if you received it from a random stranger out of nowhere then it will prevent you from getting scammed. Being knowledgeable in things like this especially into how scammers scam people can help you too. If there is money related then ask some of the experts or somebody who you know that is expert on that thing.
6017  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does this Pandemic intensifies the usage of Bitcoin? on: June 22, 2020, 12:11:14 AM
~
Probably in some countries yes, more Bitcoin users are using it right now for payments (if the merchant is accepting it).

Here in my country, I didn't felt that Bitcoin usage has increased since the pandemic. I'd say that online transactions had increased massively because of the fact that the physical cash can be a carrier of virus but base on my experience, I saw many people here using e-cash rather than using Bitcoin. People right now are paying what they are buying online using digital cash and not Bitcoin here unfortunately because many still don't know how to use it for transactions.

In my part, Bitcoin helped me too to buy some things but I don't use it directly as a payment but I'm converting it into digital cash where that is the one I will use for payments online.
6018  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DONT MARRY YOUR ALTCOIN BAGS on: June 20, 2020, 01:06:47 PM
For me, altcoins are just for money flipping purposes (most of them) although I'm holding one altcoin which is ETH and the other one is BTC. I also hold some ENJ and ETN but just a small fraction of my port (around 1% to both of them maybe).

I also believe that some altcoins are good. They have good technology, the project is good and the main use of the coin is good. Its just that investors don't see it but as long as they can get profit into an altcon then they will just buy it and then sell immediately if they sees an opportunity. Even though there are some who are holding some altcoins right now, most of them are regretting because of what is happening to them right now.
6019  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: GAMBLING SITE INVESTMENT on: June 20, 2020, 12:55:01 PM
Yolodice seems fine, maybe next month, I will add additional investment there to make it .1BTC investment again.  Grin

What are your thoughts this week?  Grin
Mine's doing a good job though these past few days, I'm at a lost but no regrets since it is just a small amount of losses.

Investing in Yolodice is quite profitable as other have experienced it already. I'm just lucky that I have some funds that I can be use to fund on their site. I can't open another one as of this moment because of some expenses here and my plan to invest it in other investments (which is being done monthly). Either way, lets hope that these will continue within the next months but seeing on @Yatsan's investment on Yolodice it is doing a great job though so maybe it will continue to take profit in the next months.
6020  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: CORONAVIRUS IMPACT ON SPORTS GAMBLING on: June 20, 2020, 12:50:06 PM

With what is happening right now in their country, I expected this already that more gamblers will just gamble in their home rather than going to a casino and because of that online sports betting are promoted and this will also help the economy of the country as a whole too.

With some of the sports reopening already, I'm quite happy to see sports to recover again but I just hope that the worst case scenario will not happen where an infected person can infect other people. They are fighting against an invisible enemy so they don't know if the one that is beside them is infected or not. There are asymptomatic persons too so it would be harder to determine.
