Economists...
I love this quote:
"You can pretty much draw a one to one parallel between economics and astrology: they use the same technique (fooling the gullible), serve the same purpose (ensuring the practitioner makes a living), and have similar predictive power (none)."
Well , I 'll have to defend economics on this one. Astrology is making guesses based on stars even though some of the stars in their prediction are already dead. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) ) Economist use half dead models.

Quark is silver to bitcoin's gold!
Competition is healthy for everyone.
I disagree. I think alt-coins are handi-capping bitcoins as people are hesitant because they may beleive one of these coins could overtake btc (not true). Also, as a online cyrptor currency if these alt coins didn't exist and their users had btc instead, the btc market cap would raise by at least 1 billion. These alt-coins also only become successful if btc performs well, So alt-coins are crippling btc while reaping rewards from its success. you alt coin scumbags! Well , I agree with most of what you said , but not with the last part. I imagine altcoin beliebers like jackals or hyenas fighting over leftovers.

China's interest is Taiwan, not Japan. China is claiming Taiwan and Taiwan is claiming China (the capital of "the Republic of China" known also as Taiwan is NanJing, in the mainland, but the temporary capital is Taipei)... guess who will win.
Taiwan? Yes, it's recognized by only 23 countries in the world (January 2012). If you are a nation of Southeast Asia or Africa and you want to have diplomatic relations with China you must deny Taiwan as an independent state and close all relations with it. My bet is still on Taiwan.

The biggest problem for these drones is that in any area where there are a lot of people to service in a 10 mile radius its impractical. Anywhere that dense most people won't have a nice doorstep for you to drop the package on.
This actually makes more sense for pizza. Doesn't even need to be practical. Try competing against a company that delivers via drones.
Well , it will be easy for the people leaving highest in a tower block. Delivery by the window. I remember the 9/11 jokes "right at your office" .

Problem is that SO MANY people use paypal. They have gotten huge, so if you wish to boycot them, they could really care less. Oh well, their lack of customer service will be their downfall. Maybe they are already looking to cash out and know what's coming, they can't be that blind to it. Maybe these bans are just their last attempts to prolong their reign for as long as possible. I mean, if they wanted to implement bitcoins, who would need them? There's no longer need for a middle man like paypal.
What is bitpay? blockchain wallet? the rip inputs.io ? Paypal will survive , don't worry for them.

Since scrypt asic is coming I'd recommend investing in an anti ASIC coin...like yac, xpm, quark.
There is no such thing...

Some of us enjoy coins that provide something over BTC, also diversity is a good thing. BTC might be heavily regulated soon, whereas some coins might be extremely hard to regulate soon like megacoin or anoncoin.
Alt coins don't need to be regulated , because you can only sell them for BTC. Any vendors accepting megacoin , ultracoin, shitcoin? That simply isnt true. Let me enlighten you. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=273148.0Yeah , i'm impressed! Common..... Show me one vendor accepting an alt coin and not btc. I'll show you 100 that do the opposite.

Reading this http://journal.crypto.st/And seeing how you were bashing paypal in the past , well , you still went and use them. " Paypal is famous for its lack of customer service and expedience when it comes to banning accounts for completely silly reasons. Our CEO has been banned from Paypal for risk purposes and he’s the nicest guy alive." Honestly , you deserved it.

hey Elwar - I was wondering about this yesterday. Whats the probability that the vanitygen would generate an already existing address? Set up a farm to run these programs, generate addresses and check their balances?
PLEASE, for the love of god, PLEASE search for this and do not start another thread on this subject (address collision) there are at least 1,000 threads on this subject already. Shouldn't we have some easily linkable FAQ covering this and thousands other questions ? Or have we got that already ? I'm evangelizing a lot and getting tired of answering the same questions. If there is no comprehensive resource like that I might set up one. Even if you have the FAQ on a sidebar in this forum , there will be still people asking those question. It happens everywhere and not only with bitcoin. Look at the amount of posts regarding the newbie restriction when there is a sticky post just in that sub forum.

Replace those "bitcoin" words with "gold" and turn it back to them
To be honest, all the professors I knew in my economy department are just not able to understand it.
The real problem behind the scene is: When they hear the word "money", they become panic and lost most of their ability to think, they start to seek some powerful forces that back it, without that force, they feel extremely insecure about its value
Unlike Bitcoin gold is used in jewelry and has industrial application as well Besides that, nothing substantial would actually change much then, save maybe for gold being also used by some hard-wired goldbugs as a store of value (with varying degrees of success) and for speculation purposes indeed. The first two points would remain absolutely valid if we substituted gold for Bitcoin... Also add food and beverage , also with gold you can more easily show off , it's not that easy to carry a 27 inch screen with your bitcoin wallet around.

You should buy the only machine with instant delivery and guaranteed profit. Bitcoins. Leave miners for knc fanboys etc who want to donate moneys to their favourite company.
Do you have something against Knc , mentioning them in your last post and just bashing them with no facts?

Sell it on Amazon ? ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Or SR Can individuals easily sell on Amazon? What is SR? Posted by: nairb131 Insert Quote It is likely that you won't be able to sell it for 4.2btc.
The going rate right now on the forums seems to be about $30/gh or less. What you are asking for it are very close if not above eBay prices for hardware.
By naming the first figure I am effectively setting the ceiling or a starting point. I'm looking for credible offers. $30/gh is way too low. The same machine sold on ebay yesterday for $3,750. Why are they selling for $77 GH/s on CEX.io? People can ask for any price , even 100/Gh , this doesn't mean it is actually seliling at that price. But , you'll probably find far more customers suckers on ebay than on this forum.

Is going down, it may collapse i down to $965 I am afraid it can drop all the way to $20 dollars or to zero

Its all about Litecoin ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) litecoin is litecoin not alt coin ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Oh really? Heard some asic miners are coming , for scrypt! Also , what's the other difference? Confirmation time? For what? What can you buy with Litecoin?

If you keep all your savings in BTC, at least you can be certain it won't be stolen.
Certain? How can you be certain? You can feel more secure than with cash but certain? Nope.
