so do we go with

knc neptune 3th/s but be end of june before shipping?

cointerra 2th/s for 6k and march shipping

hashfast 1.2th/s for 6k and march shopping

black arrow 2th/s 5k feb shipping

any thought of the top 4 hardware currently being punted at the moment,

who will ship the best machine on time?

im leaning towards black arrow machine for a feb delivery, looking at 3 machines, so 6th/s running.

Would anyone suggest anything better?

No matter what you choose you should think that if all of those companies deliver between march and june the difficulty will skyrocket!

If they deliver on schedule and ahead of everybody else i guess it's a plus. If...  Lips sealed

Scheduled first and actual first are two different things. Just ask bfl or Avalon customers.

I think the smarter choice is who is most likely to actually ship first.  The answer may not be the same. At this point I would only go with folks who have proven they have taped out their processor.

the black arrow feb date is of course higher risk of delivery than the hashfast or cointerra march dates, as cointerra and hashfast will have been shipping for several months - assuming they both ship in december and they have pre-sold their january and february batches already so the march batch is the third or 4th batch of their hardware and by any measure they should be pretty solid by then in terms of stability of hardware and manufacturing process, whereas end of feb is the first ever shipment of black arrow and by any previous metrics, most asic companies are late for their first shipment.  assume march/april is possible too.

the knc june date is pure speculation at this point.  they announced q1/q2 and we have no idea when that is.  price-wise i was hoping for less expensive than cointerra if it delivers after them.

BlackArrow give you free 5 day hashing, so you start earning while your unit is being tested.  But as others have said, it's a gamble. Schedules can get broken.

I have read that KnC will honor refunds up until ship date. This means you could ditch out if the ship date and difficulty make for bad ROI. Does anyone know if other manufacturers offer a similar refund policy? I really like it because 1) it's a hedge against risk of delays and 2) should incentivize KnC bringing product to market as fast as possible. Otherwise it seems too much like a crapshoot IMO

Are they going to refund the interest also because elsewise is like lending them millions of dollars for free.

Well if Black Arrow deliver its Prospero X3 2 Terahash miner then it will be the best $/Gh ratio at $ 2.4 per Ghs  at a pricing point $4,899

Next is the Prospero X1 and third will be the CoinCraft Desk by Bitmine

even though it's the first ASIC from blackarrow, i have read nothing but possitive feedback about their service with the FGPAs. I'mn putting my trust in BA.

also, BA rigs will be most energy-efficient, note that once you start competing in Terrahashes you easily spend $100 per terrahash per month on electricity, once the difficulty raised high enough, (and it will) the most efficient miner will be the one that is profitable for the longest amount of time until it becomes obsolete.

So blackarrow will likely ship in time, given their history, and even if they are delayed, their machines will outlast the competition.

KnC is a good company but 10000$ for a product that will come 5 months later. No thanks.

The people who spent $5k with a 4 month wait seem to be happy.

You should buy the only machine with instant delivery and guaranteed profit. Bitcoins. Leave miners for knc fanboys etc who want to donate moneys to their favourite company.
