6001  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Similar method to twitter hacks! Now on Facebook? on: July 24, 2020, 05:13:01 AM
To the OP, call the attention of the people behind the project to clear this out.
Its not the project that is scam, that is a random guy who is trying to impersonate the Terra-Credit project using a same Facebook Username

Doesn't make sense of a team member to do that because it will ruined the company's reputation here, unless he went rogue but I seriously doubt it.
If its a team member but its not. Its just an opportunist trying to use them.

Take a look on this:

An original page owner should have a tagged like this on his account.

Anyway I hope this isn't a dev on the project and is just a social media manager, imagine trusting someone to build a blockchain who can't even come up with a strong password.
Its not hacked or even their manager. Its just someone using their name to grab some frew money. Its not new, it is happened as well on other project like Ledger but unfortunately Facebook have ways to know if they are original or not.

OP, you should alert the project to report the imposter on their page so facebook would be aware.
6002  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING]Suspicious promotion of Cryptocurrency.com on: July 24, 2020, 04:15:13 AM
It seems awfully similar to Crypto.com, with the $50 bonus.
Crypto.com has reputation indeed. This one has just started, give them few years, maybe we can consider them but as I acknowledge some suspicious details will not help them.

The results were according to the number of votes of their forum participants. So we don't know how many representatives they have in this forum to collect the highest number of votes.
Let's say those are from other people, how they can explain the accusation on their platform? That's a heavy thing they need to settle at least. Like other new users I wouldnt settle for a brand new exchange especially if they are centralized. The only centralized market I did some KYC is Binance so far which not bad to trust at all.

Please can we support these boards. I've always thought that they have great potential for sensible discussions, but they still don't seem to get a lot of activity.
I think its one of the good hub for people who wanted to discuss something valuable. I tend to find useful and relevant posts there to post on LoyceV unmerited to give prioritize to users impart quality discussion and topics.

My next sections plan to check for good posts are Serious Discussion, Development and Technical Discussion boards and of course on our Local Section.
Hope I got many quality topics to note. (as well as reported if there are garbage/off topic too)

Are people really influenced by the lack of signatures and post count increases?
Sadly, this is a hard fact. Since serious discussion doesn't count on signature campaigns, some feels they are wasting time to lurk there. But of course users with sense of responsibility will consider it as not big deal its same with WO, as long users have engage on interesting topics they will surely post and join the fun.

6007  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who said that ICOs are dead? on: July 23, 2020, 04:42:20 AM
Very punctual ICO. I don't know and never heard of this project, but it for some reason called investors attention.
Here is their official thread posted by Hhampuz https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5245143.0

Its really call out the attention of users. Even me, I joined their token sale and luckily I had few investment.

This project might become the real Eth2.0 hehehe.
Could be. Vitalik even mentioned on his tweet, that avax is equal on legality of bitcoin. Even the mainnet not release yet. There are IOU trading on AVAX futures already on two exchanges.

Also you can try the coindesk conversion tool. They supported more than 100 fiat currency to btc and vice versa. I think almost all fiat currency. The site is very simple and dont much have ads. Only few probably using this compared to coingecko and coinmarketcap.

6010  Other / Meta / Re: Do you check the merit history of users before meriting them? on: July 23, 2020, 03:27:35 AM
I think we should focus on meriting posts that are of quality and substantial. But since this is a poll, mostly said here is none which should be the case. We should not depend on user's name before we merit him/her and also regardless of his status, whether he has a lot of negative feedbacks or trust as long the post fits your standard for merit. I think i'll drop it.

There should be no bias with that but of course we have different perspective, some value the status also of users before even giving them some merits.
6011  Other / Meta / Re: Punishment for rule breaking on: July 23, 2020, 03:12:36 AM
There is temp ban(for few days) punishment for reflinks if continued will lead to permaban. I remember recently there is a guy who posted about being banned for 3days due to reflinks just forget his username.

Reflinks are totally not allowed and prohibited but there are exception to this which are allowed only if:

However, if you are using the forum as a publishing platform to host something really substantial and useful, selling ads in that substantial work is allowed. To be eligible for this, your post must be in a topic that you started, and your post must be substantial and long enough to make the ad seem entirely insignificant. If in doubt, ask me.

Found also this interesting discussion about ways on how you can do a reflink without disobeying forum rules.
Bitcointalk and reflinks: don't produce refspam, please

Ive seen also some but since they are introducing a long and substantial post which looks that there is no reflinks at all. Like what theymos had said. Can you give example OP?
6012  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: User Fraud Report on: July 23, 2020, 02:48:42 AM
Why you even want to purchase a Binance US account? Are you a US citizen? As far as I know registration on Binance Global is free and only will be needing KYC if you will transact more funds.

Add more details on your conversation it seems like a shallow discussion and will be needed more proof to prosecute the suspect of this scam. So far the account has no complained yet but there is a feedback of that he had close a good deal.

That's a huge payment for an account. Really curious why your buying an account for that amount which is totally free.

6015  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] BestChange Signature Campaign on: July 22, 2020, 09:52:24 AM
There are lots of discussion whether a thread is a spam mega or not. But the idea of BestChange is to reduced posts made on a oversaturated spam thread that have common topics like what LoyceV described.

Lots of us posting on different section we used to or we enjoyed, it will not hurt us if we are to minimized those posting habit on some sections that concludes as spam mega thread. Just like the BM told here:

We are not going to remove participants who sometimes post in such threads. We will remove participants who mainly write in such threads.

I am posted also on some mega thread particularly on my thread but I always make sure Im only posting there if necessary for some clarification and update cause I have responsibility to response or discuss something there which only on topic and part of my OP. So I guess JeromeTash saying is okay, as long we can minimized it there is no problem at all and like yoshie said as long it does not lead to any kind of spam.

We talking about users who are posted in megathreads, how to expect from them to read and understand your attention in your last post.
Agreed. Maybe a note on each of those warned will get the attention.

Its only my opinion of what BestChange trying to say, limit or avoid some of the thread that becomes a spam thread. We should appreciate his warning as this could help us find organic discussion without repetitive ideas all over again. Just my take on this matter. Cheers,
6016  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] iBid Ponzi Scheme on: July 22, 2020, 07:32:29 AM
ibidtowin you are busted
I think this ends the topic of either its scam or not. The manager explained that they are related to dealdash, but since bitbtc8 made a confirmation to the site, means all Exidous explanation was invalid and obviously telling us lie. What more can we hear if dealdash already they are not affiliated with ibidtown?

I guess nutildah's flag type is ncessary for this case.

Someone should warned and turn down the campaign in bounty section that they are working for a scam and suspicious project.

But I'm having a hell of a time finding merit-worthy posts by newer members--and I'm not into charity when it comes to handing out merits.  As much as I've thought about lowering my standards when it comes to posts made by lower-ranked members, I just can't bring myself to do it.
I think Ive included here some of post made by newbies.

but only few Ive found maybe you can consider their post as quality one. The list most comprises of high rank but I will try to find a worthy one made by newbies or at least low rank users next time. Hope it helps.

~snip~
I guess Ive missed some of Husires threads, but thanks for bringing it up here. Ive already updated your suggestions.

I think there are more quizzes being hidden in forum, Id love to find those useful one.

Thanks, I will do more Quizzes but the problem is that the tool I use is free and allows a few attempts. http://www.quiz-maker.com/
If someone knows a free tool or script, pm me with it.
Thats the thing about free there are certain limitations. Maybe someone could help you on setting this up on a free domain without any limit or restriction. We love your set of questions, normally you do until 15 right? How about this time increase it to at least 20 to 30? That would be more headache for us to pass.  Cheesy
