Four days after the deadline and there's not a sign of the Q&A yet. Read above, he decided not to do any Q&A but there is no guarantee that he will answer the question that has been sent to him. There is no set deadline yet about this question to be answered and once again we are back into square one, waiting indefinitely because he has a tendency to stall things ( and a different schedule of his own ) and accounts that are forced to do hardware conversion.
This is funny because I called this yesterday that it seems like he wants everyone to convert it. I dont know if this is an error or what but I got a hunch that the extension for the conversion deadline is to force the other to convert it ( I am being paranoid of this , YES very ).

Lol, agreed! The bot is playing purely random, so very dumb! The bot serves as a faucet bot therefore this "generous" bot has serves its nature ( no complaint here, loves to wack up the bot ) The concept with playing the bot stays the same - if you beat the bot twice, you earn 0.1 mBTC.
From there you need to play real opponents, but if you won 15 straight - you win 1.4 btc ... all with no deposit!
So it is a missleading words there and I suggest you to change some wordings there or else someone might having a wrong perception about it in the future though . Your math is correct though you forgot to take into account that it will be hard to find some player to play up for high stakes and the calculation to win 1.4 BTC in 15 matches isnt really feasible at the moment ( this might change in the future though )
|
|
|
beat the bot, then win over 1.4 btc by winning 15 matches!
Am I reading this correctly that you can win over 1.4 BTC by winning 15 matches from the bot or does this mean you have to win 15x winning streak from the bot? If you are going to make this kind of stuff then I will suggest you to "upgrade" the bot first because the current bot is pretty much too "generous" by wasting a few good opportunity to win. Also some players are actually good in this game (IIRC during beta some are pretty good) so chances are that few will get away with the 1.4 BTC

Yes the faucetbot is something challenging, I just try it and its nice but dont you think its too hard? Im not saying about bot but about the amount? 3 times per day is too little. May be you can try to increase the amount and the time to play to make it balance. But the rest is good enough
3x a day is pretty much alot for freebies. The thing is , the bot is pretty much very easy to beat therefore you can already be sure that you will win 0.1 m BTC daily just by playing with the bot. Even if you have no intention in gambling away what you've won, the amount that you got from the bot alone is a great amount if you compare it with faucet licking which require you to put on silly captcha

This is not a secret anymore that Directbet has the lowest odd if you compare it with any sportbook around here . There has been already many complaints about this in their thread however the rating isnt based on solely the odds for the game , there are different factors that come into account . For example it will be their support service, now you can try to contact the other sportsbook around here and see how fast they resolve your issue and then you can compare it with DIrectbet, there will be a major satisfaction level there !
Fine. Okay. They get good marks for support and their no-account, instant payout feature, but as a player, that in no way makes up for those terrible odds. You will go broke if you play there for any length of time. Thats a harsh reality about sportsbook because either sportsbook / other gambling casino will do their best to "ensure" you lost in a fair way otherwise they wouldnt be making money for themselves Not sure why they don't become more competitive with their odds. They are not even in the same ballpark as any other sportsbook! Their odds was better in the past. Back then their odds was alot more competitive though but I guess this is something to do with financial issue and also the max win amount in a single bet is lower right now. In the end any sportsbook will ensure that they got money from their business , ensuring you to lost fairly There are other bitbooks that do the no-account and instant payout thing.
Never heard of it, guess DirectBet is still more popular though

The proof of liabilities has not been updated for a while now, what is up? It shows around 179btc when then site bankroll on the investment tab has been showing 228btc.
I not sure where do you see the proof of liabilities is , however the cold wallet address contains ~395 BTC and it is more than the current bankroll . Satoshi dice is the oldest game of all time. And people have lots of trust on them. I hope they resolve the issues as soon as possible.
Unless you are aware that this site has been sold to someone else on 18th July 2013 (references below) . Therefore any reputation beforehand is pretty much useless here. There has been alot of complaints ever since though Im not saying the new owner is trying to pull some nasty "tricks" but they are just a not very good owner / support For references https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SatoshiDice

I don't know if technology means that much to them They have the nature to be hardworking to strive for profit therefore Its not about the technology that driven them it is mainly profit. Basically anything that could make profit for them will be taken into their target despite that it is a nontech things or such. If you would to compare A and B which A is a rubbish and B is the future technology then whichever could get them a profit would be their choice despite that it is a rubbish or a future technology

With all due respect, I think you waste too much time on LTCgear. People are on the point with zero return here and there's nothing to lose to keep on going forward. That is why people are still pressing to go forward instead . For me it is not about wastng time since I've got my exit strategy ( sold it to someone and enough to cover my losses ). For me this is much more into entertainment because I'd like to see how long will Chris be able to pull all of this , we are 7 months since the hacked incident and here we are still left with uncertainty especially DMD Diamond. This is not about investing or putting your money in another type of investment or such things but more to like getting back what is owed though

is BTCJAM.com safe enough to invest there ? Depends on what do you mean by "safe" because you are not investing into BTCjam but you are "investing" by lending the other people which might default how BTCJAM Ensure that the borrowers will return the borrowed money ?
BTCjam dont ensure that borrowers will return what they owed you because few months after they default, BTCjam will send you arbitration award which contains the identity of the borrower that he/she had submitted to BTCjam. You will then proceed the legal step by your own admission and funds ( or you can choose to let it go ) for more references : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=499995.0

Why is the expected profit 0.93% of the wagered? Doesn't that indicate your current house edge (I guess after taking average of all bets) is 0.93%?
Yes that is the average house edge for all the bets that has been taken. The house was on 1 % house edge before for 10k+ rolls or so and has only implemented the random house edge for a short time therefore the average of the bets stays at over 0.9 ~ %. What sorcery would be how "random" exactly is this new random house edge is though ( check my post above ) P.S : the 10k rolls is taken from the number of rolls from the owner's status https://www.moneypot.com/users/bryankek

For a limited time only! House edge now varies from 0.01% to 1.0%! Puts the luck back into dice games I seem to be missing things here but does this house varies randomly without base-ing it on anything? Safedice applied a variable house edge as well however it does not varies randomly though as most of the bet stays at 0.5 % house edge(references below). As for your case, I find it totally random even if you wager with the same amount This is an example from one of your player who is betting with 150 bits flat https://www.moneypot.com/bets/40279954 = house edge 0.96 % https://www.moneypot.com/bets/40279951 = house edge 0.6 % https://www.moneypot.com/bets/40279949 = house edge 0.27 % https://www.moneypot.com/bets/40279948 = house edge 0.41 % https://www.moneypot.com/bets/40279945 = house edge 0.74 % P.S : a thorough explanation is much appreciated By default, the house edge is 0.5%, which is very low among all the dice sites, only when a player wants to make a bigger winning than 0.25% of the bankroll, a higher house edge will be triggered.

His timeline seems to always be longer than first stated, unfortunately. The "pay fee from balance link" statement he made a while back is still a question mark as technically right now we have our maintenance fee addresses available to pay in accounts, but not technically from a link to our coin balance. That leaves room for interpretion that we should see previous owed coin balances, but only he can say if that will happen or not at this point. Idk why he has continued to delay, but it's quite obvious he oversold shares, and I think he would like as many as possible to convert to hardware so he can clean this(his) mess up. As far as #3 I think he actually extended the deadline so he could put the answers up to some of the questions at least pertaining to hardware conversion. When we all know we just want an answer on previous months balances first. That would be what I want to believe but since I had been paranoid with everything related to Chris and ltcgear , I am having a hunch that this "waiting for the answer" stuff gonna take a whole month process ( I could be wrong on this ) . Even if he oversold shares, there is no point in not communicating and tell the truth about it. I would be happy to be paid 50 % or less the amount that he owed me though I hate to be waiting in such desperation. P.S : we will see how he pull these question before the conversion deadline, or we could face another deadline extension later on

Some time ago I had no problem to betting from uk, now Im getting like this :
Unfortunately, we can not accept bets from your jurisdiction, sorry.
Im not sure what do you mean by " some time ago " but it has been atleast a month since they decided to close their service to UK based player ( references below ). However a simple VPN / hola could solve this or simply ask a non UK player to set up a bet that you want, you will then only need to send your wager to the corresponding bet address The UK Gambling Commission has written to online sportsbooks, bookmakers and casinos telling them to block anyone with a UK IP address. Already, Direct Bet and the Fairlay Bitcoin betting exchange have implemented this today. It's outrageous.

If you have little money ,invest in high risk high return stuff.
High risk high return stuff is mostly falls under the category of ponzis and stuff which basically translated into giving away your money to a stranger. This advice of yours is seriously bogus though if you actually have a small amount of money to begin with then following your advice would means losing it all. Much better to keep it save in the bank thoughNowadays banks no longer guarantee the safety of money
Banks can never guarantee anything because their guarantee is made up of words only Not necessarly a scam, if you find a legit high reward investment, it can work out. But you contradict yourself, first you say that save in a bank then you say bank doesnt guarantee anything, why would i use a bank? How about reading thoroughly first? Im merely stating something that is in your common sense already. No one can ever guarantee anything because no one knows the future though ( this is pretty much common sense ). Also if you read it thoroughly than you would have noticed that Im going against your argument that to start going for HYIP if you are low in capital , that would be just the same as giving away your money, much safer if you put it in the bank though

Does this statement means that there will be no live Q&A or that he will not answer the question too? You know Chris has a tendency to alter his words. Like from the past where he claimed in his last Q&A that the fee will be deducted from the balance but the fact is not like that so I kinda confused with his statement regarding this
The way I understand it is it won't be a live q&a, but he will answer the questions sent to him (probably not all as we know he may avoid some, but hopefully the important ones). -snip- That is how I read it myself as well. Call me paranoid but we have suffered alot due to his ability to alter his own words , example : #1. Fees will be applied after 1 year = fees at the end of the year#2. Fees will be deducted from your balance = no balance just a bill of fees#3. Account will be cleared in waves next week = wait for atleast a month or two to get all of them clearedAnd alot more others that I cant remember exactly. Also am I the only one thinking that he extended the deadline for conversion just because he wants all to convert to ASIC ? seems fishy to me ( I am paranoid about this stuff )

Nothing really to gain yet either from converting. Waiting for some specs was the way to go even if it's taking longer than you would like. He did at least extend the deadline most likely for that very reason. It will be months before anyone receive the miners , that is if only he really ship up the miners which I doubt because he could easily use that miner to pay up all the amount that he owed us Also, he emailed TheMage back, and will not do a live Q&A. Does this statement means that there will be no live Q&A or that he will not answer the question too? You know Chris has a tendency to alter his words. Like from the past where he claimed in his last Q&A that the fee will be deducted from the balance but the fact is not like that so I kinda confused with his statement regarding this

The people who play there would be the same people who go to casinos and play slots, or roulette or most non-skill based games with large house edges. In other words the people that dont know about house edge and stuff , that prefer to gamble blindly with hope that they will be lucky to win a significant amount from the house. There are far too many uneducated people about house edge and stuff no doubt about it. I could imagine a lot of people would like the flashing slots over dice, finding it more entertaining to watch. To be honest, those flashy slots seems entertaining however slots are known as a game with the highest edge in the industry. Plus that the slot isnt provably fair so it is like being told that the game is fair and there is no way to know anything about it The bonuses (hidden behind rollovers) are enticing too (to those who don't see the little *).
Bonuses with rollovers is a way for casino to lure in more player because most people will just fail in the roll over process

The way the game is designed, makes it easy to cheat on. I didnt know this would be a big problem, at least for the begin. I can see now how it can be a problem though, especially for the long term, which is all I care about.
Atleast someone notify you about this in the early stages otherwise it will be alot more reputation to be tarnished away later. If there's an exploit to be found people then people will find it and then abuse it for all they can. It's sad but it's just part of the game really and businesses need to make sure their ship is watertight or these things will unfortunately happen.
This is always a concern about a skill based games. True fairness is eliminated in a skill based game because sooner or later someone will find an exploit / software to gain advantages over the other player. Even if this exploit will be patched later on, there will alway someone that will try to find another one in the future. Luck based game is kinda the true fairness though
