لماذا قمت بوضع ستة منشورات في نفس اليوم؟هل تلعم ان هدا مخالف للقوانين الخاصة بالمنتدى؟ يجب عليك دمجها جميعا في منشور واحد..لايحق لك رفع الموضوع بهده الطريقة.

It is relevant, the banned user's posts are still there, most of these scammers post their telegram/email address in many posts, so the risk for newbies and guests is still there regardless.


Well somebody has got to explain this point, the flag support topics are the new trend, i am sure a few weeks later most of them will get bored/tired.

With the new trust system changes, scammers are now somehow less visible.

The " warning" in red is gone on almost all of them, it is now more important than ever thar you get yourself the list to shop a bit more safer.

رفع للموضوع لرفع معنويات الاعضاء الجدد..

في فترة اقل من سنة من النشاط هنا..اقترب الان من الحصول على عدد 1000 نقطة الجدارة.

الاحظ ايضا بعض الاخوة قاربو على الحصول على 500 نقطة وتصنيف هيرو.

نحن الان نمتلك اكتر نقاط جدارة للمصادر من قبل..يعني الارتقاء يجب ان يكون اسهل.. فقط ساهمو في نشر المعرفة.

اخي العزيز قوانين المنتدى لا تسمح بالنشر في نفس الموضوع في فترة اقل من 24 ساعة الا في حالة كان هناك منشور من شخص اخر يفصل بين المنشورين , ما تفعله في هدا الموضوع هوا مخالف للقوانين وقد يعرضك للحظر.

ههه اول مرة اضحك في القسم العربي , هل يوجد من يفعل هدا الشي ؟  حاولت ان افهم مالغاية والغرض من مثل هدا التصرف الا ان كان الشخص مجنون او مريض نفسي ولكن لم اجد اي شي , هل من شرح؟

He did a lot of work to be honest, a bit more and he could have simply came up with his own comment, in fact I think it would be less of an effort to type your own shit than trying to rephrase or obfuscate other people's posts, anyhow a temp-ban for the little effort is appropriate IMO.

I have checked some of the posts he merited, most are in Turkish, used google translator obviously, I think he is good at merting quality posts, seems like many Local boards lack merits and contribution, the English side of the forum is much richer in both resources and Merit, I think more sources on the Local sections must be added to make things easier for the Non-English speakers, lowering the bar for merit sources on the local board might also help.

I noticed that the on my local board, the activity and quality of posts increased drastically lately because of the increment of Merit sources there, seems like many members can post quality posts but they want to be assured that they will receive merit for their hard work  .

No sweetheart I did not   , someone else flagged those scumbags , actually a flag is still needed even if the user is banned, as far as am concern ,banning a member does not lead to deletion of their posts - so all those " text me on telegram to buy 100$ amaozon gift card for 10$" topics and posts are still there (at least this is what I think, maybe i am wrong, hope someone can confirm this ) and it's unlikely that they have no access to that telegram/email or any off-forum communication channel.

so please don't spare any effort in tagging / flagging banned scumbags.

Exactly, these gears will be obsolete mostly before they wear out , i can understand why they are not putting too much effort in terms of increasing the lifespan of these gears.

after this topic I lost another middle board , for like a few hours, when i went to check , it suddenly came back online and still running fine, it was showing 0th but now shows the normal 4.xx th, I am facing more issues with the older version of S9s than that new once, the S9i seems to have a bigger frame than the S9 i think the first rows of the middle chip get slightly better cooling.

لقد قمت بالقاء نظرة على منشوراتك ضننا مني اني يمكن ان اجد شي حتى في نطاق ال"معقول" لكي اعطيك نقاط جدارة عليه لتشجيعك , للاسف جل مشاركاتك دون المستوى , من الواضح انك هنا فقط من اجل الباونتي وغيرها من المواضيع , لا يوجد عيب في طموحك بالكسب من المنتدى ولكن اولا عليك ان تبني بروفايل جيد انت الان مصنف تحت مايعرف ب shitposter يعني ان وجودك يسبب ضرر اكتر من نفع للمنتدى , اتمنى ان تحاول البدء في المشاركة الفعالة ,يبدو انك تجيد الانجليزية , قم بترجمة بعض المواضيع المفيدة وسوف تحصل على نقاط جدارة.

ارجو ايضا ان لاتطلب من احد ان يرسل لك نقاط جدارة فهدا ضد القانون هنا.

That sounds like a good plan , but it's a lot of work , guess I will just leave them to face their destiny.

These gears will very soon be nothing but door holders anyway, even for someone with free (limited) power like myself, so I don't think I will be spending another penny on them.

I hope the design is different on all new gears, it would be stupid if they kept the same spacing and all for the new gears, I have not had the chance to really see how are the S15/S17's boards placed, but judging by the size of the miner's case, it seems like they have improved the cooling.

that is a sharp observation, regardless of how simple it sounds the average person (like me) can't figure that much.

so , is it safe to assume that the temps on the first a few chips towards the intake fan are always 5/10/15 degrees more than what the sensor read?  is there anything to help cool that particular part?

It does not seem uncommon for a single S9 board to go bad, either not showing at all , showing 0 asics or showing all 63 but hashing at 0th, I have recently started to face the issue more often than before , this only happened at like 1 to 20 ratio , but with the recent gears i got , the ratio is a bit more than that.

The strange thing is, it's never 2 boards , never 3 - it is always that one single board which to me usually the middle board.

I wonder what is the %  or ratio of this happening to others? I have also noticed that this is more common on S9 than on the S9i versions.

I , as many others , was too reckless and went ahead like an IDIOT and installed the 2019 firmware for a large number of my gears, I don't have much use for SSH but i still hate the fact the bitmain locks me out of my my gears, now if you have a few miners and have the time to Sdcard-flash them using braiins or revert back to an old firmware then that's awesome, however if you are a lazy person, got too many gears, ain't got no time for all that shit , then you might consider this new update.

It still locks SSH access "obviously" but they added some features in terms of increasing/decreasing voltage and/or frequency, of course nothing like braiins but something that is better than nothing.

make sure you read the warnings and all those stuff before trying this firmware.

I have not measure power consumption on these settings ( it does not really matter to me) but overall I have tried it on a few miners, with the +1th and +2th and it seems to work fine, temps have increased of course, but now getting an average of 15th on the old 13.5 miners which is great if you ask me.



I am not encouraging you to update to the 2019 firmware, if you are not already stuck with the first 2019 firmware, DO NOT flash it,  if you are already stuck , then maybe this will ease your pain a little.

I will run this for a while and report back the results.

For a while I thought you were being serious, i thought "they" brain washed you ,anyhow fuck Silver ! @Last of the V8s I usually do agree with you but not this time, I don't think a newbie-flag or any other flag is suited for his case, maybe a neutral feedback and that's all about it,don't get me wrong , If i had the power to ban realr0ach I would , IMO he is a piece of shit ,I do read his posts in the WO thread and I never bothered to start a conversation with him, but all that aside , I do not think the trust system is intended for this type of stuff.

This is probably a network related issue, there is a lot of troubleshooting to it, here is a guide https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5094311.0 just follow the guide from A to Z , your issue could be anywhere there.

also there is a good chance that the reset failed, so try all different ways of hard resting the miner, if everything fails then you will need to flash it using an SDcard, if that fails too, then you will probably need a new control board.
