6001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET - ICO conducted by Poloniex on: September 03, 2014, 07:00:53 PM
hi james,

nice idea with allocating some of the funds for trading.
i have a idea there - how about using the funds to provide leverage trading but for altcoins?
this will ensure a profit (interest rate) and will provide liquidity on the altmarket (there will probaly alot of bitcoins going into cold storage because of supernet).

bitfinex.com has it for btc, it should be like that.

greetings

how many anon cards should we preorder?
we found a real mastercard with $500+ per day, $15K/mo
cost of about $40 per card (not sure on exact!) mailed anywhere in the world

so this is not a binding commit, just to get some sort of idea
you can get more than on card
some of the fees I am not liking, but we are still negotiating

Hi James what are the costs per withdrawal? That would made a difference at 500 a day.
there are many plans
just the first one I see is having one withdraw per month free
then 2%
it is a lot of complex options and this is just the standard plan
we are negotiating as good of a deal as possible
this is with different bank, other one was too slow!

I suggest getting all details finished and doing a preorder? I would be interested Smiley

Sorry I find this quite unbelievable. Whats the current coin supply? Are you saying you are planning to supply 106 million 106k kilo or 106 tonnes of dope?

It's accepted for more than just dope.

Hey mate, lets see if this one is better then uro  Grin

Solar panels are devices with ROI - after a certain time you will have profit, though we are talking about years.
...

I suppose if you sell electricity at the couture prices to PETA/SCRYPT bagholders you would.  Otherwise, not so much.
That's why real power companies don't run solar cells unless they're subsidized Smiley

Yeah, but i was talking about private usage.
The free generating of electricity will save you money which you would have to pay for the same else.

Why energy companies dont use it is indeed like you say. Other forms of energy are just cheaper but are also extremly more harmful to the enviroment

The current prices are indicating that only the true believers are going to stay into the game.
...

This is very bearish, because bitcoin price needs new bagholders, with plenty of fiat and willing to buy high.
True believers have millions of bitcoins, and a fair amount of fiat, but way to little fiat to pump the price into another mania.

im pretty sure that bitcoin doesnt need that lol.
bitcoin would still work with a price of 1$.

anyway true believers are more like this:

You actually can make ROI [ with mining ] if you have solar panels or some other free source of eletricity so you can run your miners 24/7 for free. And with selling mining contract you could make even more if you would count the cost of electricity and make the customer pay for it.

But solar power is not free, one has to pay for the panels & electronics.  AFAIK the cost of solar electricity, once the installation costs are included, is still higher than that of grid power.

And you will also need hefty batteries to run multi-kW miners 24/7.

Solar panels are devices with ROI - after a certain time you will have profit, though we are talking about years.

Also you would not need batteries if you have overhead on electricity which you can input into the (local) electricity network at day to receive it later at night.

so basically if i had 10grand in btcd, if i leave my comp on 24/7 ill gain a dollar a day. hardly worth the power bill? am i missing something?>

Actually no. Because your coins accumulate coinage while not getting interest/staking a block u only need to stake once a while (days, weeks, montha etc) and still get your interest for the whole duration.
Sending or receiving coins will reset your coinage though.

Staking 24/7 will give you more then the base 5% because you get the tx fees of the block and compound interest on top

6017  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] SuperNET IPO - conducted by Poloniex on: August 31, 2014, 05:04:36 PM
@jl777

So because BBR is being added to the core, does this mean that Monero can not be part of the core because it does not bring any new features that BBR hasn't already added? And Monero, if it gets added will be in an arm spiraling off the core somewhere?

The plan is to add coins with unique features into supernetwork core.
Other coins who are based on btc ( in the beginning - later support for other coins will be added) can use supernetwork by just calling supernetwork api.

So if xmr doesnt bring something beside CN anon tech to the table i guess the answer is no

A little  comment regarding anonimity of a developer:

Whos the guy named satoshi nakamoto who created bitcoin and holds around 1.000.000 btc?

@nxtchang

Facepalm lol
coin =/= IPO

EDIT: I invested in NTX IPO (BCNext was anonymous too)

The asset we buy is backed with all coins that will be part of the supernetwork core. ( the money will be used to buy these coins)
I dont really see your point, can you please explain?
Will they?

I trust James because I know him (not his real ID though) - but it will add confidence & credibility to the project to use escrow, multisigs whatever!

I think he says he will do so with Poloniex, I am bored to read again the whole post to check it though Tongue

Yeah except a small % ( james said 1% - but it depends on how much money will be collected i guess) that will be used as bounty foe website logos etc.

@escrow

Im sure thats not a problem and there will be one Smiley

I was just commenting on make his identity public
