Probable scammer. I sent this guy a $1000 moneypak a week ago, lots of empty promises and stalling, still do not have codes yet. If I don't get codes or a refund by the time I wake up in the morning, I will post FULL details on the drama I had with him.

I see no violation of the terms. And can hardly believe Goat is still not complying. If I was a shareholder, my trust in him would be low now too. It clearly states "We may at our discretion, ask asset creators to provide proof of identity, address, phone number and more, until we are sufficiently satisfied. Said information will be held securely offline and not shared with any third party. We reserve the right to freeze trading of the asset and the asset creators account for failure to provide requested details or in the event of suspected fraud." He hasn’t failed yet or been suspected to be a fraudster by Nefario, has he? So what exactly is the problem?  From Nefario, there is recent attempts to break into his account. That would be partially regarded as suspicious IMHO.For what I know, the actual Goat might be sleeping while the hacker are using his account.  I don't see why Nefario has a motive to cheat here; it's not like he gets all the proceeds from Goat's account. He is even ruining his own business as Goat is the biggest asset issuer on GLBSE. Think of the fees he'll lose if everyone's apprehensive to trade Goat's stocks. Goat, just verify and get over with it. This is starting to sound bad for everyone. |

What if you make the paypal-payment as a "Personal-Payment"?
I found a small article wich i will quote:
"When a buyer sends a gift payment for an item they think they are purchasing, there is no mention of any item or service being sold nor is there a shipping address attached to the transaction. There is a space for a “personal message” of 300 characters, but even if the buyer inputs details of the transaction there is little that can be done. This means that the “seller” is not obligated by PayPal to actually ship an item or provide the service that may or may not have been agreed upon outside of PayPal through email, text message, or whatever else. There is nowhere for the seller to input tracking and nowhere for the buyer to dispute the transaction if a problem occurs. As far as PayPal is concerned the transaction is exactly what it says it is – a gift. This is stated in section 13.5 of PayPal’s User Agreement; PayPal clearly states, “You may not file a dispute for a Personal Payment."
Am i still out in the woods here? Or is this a way for people to buy bitcoins with PrePaid Visa?
Can Visa still do chargeback then? If the money went through paypal and they state that they wont do anything about it?
If the person uses a stolen CC to make the personal payment, the funds will get reversed nevertheless. |

How did you contact him? I mean, how did you word the email and PM? He might be ignoring you if he doesn't know what you're talking about. He has the $ to return others and his real life identity is solid (you can get him at his address, and he's a fairly public person), so I doubt he'll make a run for your 4.5k. Try DM-ing him on Twitter too. |

SO don't list on the GLBSE. Nefario will identify the issuer. this is dangerous for a scammer.
At the moment I do not wish to list on GLBSE just because my current fund structure and setup will not work that well with the current GLBSE structure. I am happy to identify my real ID to any trusted member of the forum for example Nefario. Not for my ID to go public but if something happens it could be released and the investors could get justice  //DeaDTerra This is the general idea with ID verification. Right now GLBSE only shows a users verification if they have created a GLBSE asset, but I'd like to add a public page for users that will allow them to point to their GLBSE accounts that show they've been verified. My final words -- at least for a long while. Until his Electrolux has made the rounds. Hey c'mon. At least it's honest work. Manual labor is liberating for dreamers. I am very anxious to see Atlas refuse to file for his taxes next year. It's going to be hilarious watching him write "I am unremorseful" in his deductions column. My inet is not so fast, 100msec too much how to increase it to one or two minutes?
For me, I use a spare pool with mine and set it to 'load balancing' hence if the first is slow/fails a bit, the shares will automatically get to the second pool. |

I thought doing bank deposits doesn't need you to identify yourself? I regularly go to the bank and just bank in via the teller or using the cash deposit machine, it's anonymous. (Unless you count get snapped by the video cams above, but it's overreacting imho)
