What are you wanting to do, add something to the whitepaper or reference it elsewhere.

If you're adding to it I'd suggest something like:
===========ADDITION AMMENDMENT STARTED============

And then an end to that at some point.
Although it might just bloat out the paper. Also pos is never done in bitcoin so?
6002  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: The Jet Cash coffee lounge thread. on: February 21, 2019, 11:45:31 PM
Do they sell testers for testers? That'd be a good idea Grin
6003  Economy / Speculation / Re: Rediculous trade orders with dust on: February 21, 2019, 07:53:45 AM
Lol the third one is funny.. I remember having an order to sell something and buy back in the same day and due to a technical failure, both triggered at the same time..

Number 2 is probably true in a lot of cases also.
6004  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Question About Golden Visa - Invest with BTC on: February 21, 2019, 07:49:20 AM

If you want citizenship, why not just try to marry someone in the country? I think you can arrange things for this.

Is the easiest that you can do, I see you don't have problems with money, you can buy a property after that. BTC to fiat is the first thing to do if you wanna buy a property, don't try to force your way to buy using BTC. You know its not possible as of now. You can file a divorce later.

It's funny but it's true, if just the citizenship is his issue then why complicate things if marrying someone is the best way. Though this isn't easy as it looks but he should try this first before that golden visa thing.

Otherwise you won't be sure of those people that selling their property here, better to see it for yourself or contact an real estate agent in that specific location.

Is this really so unregulated that it's possible to do? It seems more extreme than buying property imo as its generally illegal and maybe op wanted the properties or they could just sell them on when they get there...

@LTU, that isn't what the print function currently does. It just shows a printable version of the site (or a printer friendly version).

OP is saying something like this function https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=printpage;topic=5112077.0
6006  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: What happens on Testnet? on: February 20, 2019, 08:12:31 PM
@achow I'm guessing this is due to making it much nicer to test the blockchain on test net as it is a lot faster to get a transaction into a block if the blocks are more frequent.

The chain split thing is quite interesting, is that due to the speed of the blocks or something else, have you been able to pick a chain also?
6007  Other / Meta / Re: Thread Printing on: February 20, 2019, 06:08:17 PM
@loyce, for what you want you could probably save the pages and have a tiny script thst just appends each one to the bottom of the other, this might be what you already do though (or something similar).
6008  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Question About Golden Visa - Invest with BTC on: February 20, 2019, 02:48:43 AM
As I read it you make an investment for Greece that is worth $250000 I guess if you bought the properties with gold (about 8kg) then what's the difference. Also how are they going to know if you traded that amount in cash or in bitcoin.
6009  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Netflix to make a documentary about the altcoin side of crypto on: February 20, 2019, 02:40:13 AM
2020 I have a whole year to wait to watch something that happened a few years ago.

@mj... They could probably start on the eth hype in 2013-15 when everyone was talking about it and said I was wrong for saying it wouldn't surpass bitcoin by tomorrow lol 😂.

But yeah those seem accurate, anyone want to speculate on the sequel?
6010  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: How bitcoin inheritance can be achieved. on: February 20, 2019, 02:33:01 AM
Why do you need an exchange? Just create a wallet, and leave the transactions in an address on the blockchain. You can then dump the wallet, as long as you keep the keys and other info to recreate it.

It is as simple as that. That is one of the easiest means and simple too. I would however add that securing passphrase and securities explicitly on a note book and also saving in email.

You have to be cautious of saving security codes in a notebook or your email because there's the possibility of getting it compromised. Email accounts are susceptible to hacks, so I suggest to hide your codes. Hackers are pretty ingenious these days and passwords can be easily retrieved. You could probably hide it in a plain message so it won't be obvious, or better yet get a password lock app which you will carry over to those who will acquire your inheritance.

Email is a flawed system unless only you own the email and then theres an issue of its greater mortality.

Also while 2fa may seem like a good idea (I guess that's what you're fererring to) I know people to have got stumped on that page before...
6011  Other / Meta / Re: Thread Printing on: February 20, 2019, 02:29:14 AM
You can probably write a script to do skmrtjing like that. I doubt many functions will let you here it's not exactly resource friendly hence why it has the hash cash page from cloud flare (to eliminate crawlers like google searchs).
6012  Economy / Speculation / Rediculous trade orders with dust on: February 19, 2019, 05:47:44 PM
On exchanges like coinbase pro it seems interesting to look at some trades that are listed as being extremely high but then realise that the amount the would be traded is tiny. I.e. There was a 28btc sell order for litecoin (I think we can agree that even though litecoin is 'great' it isn't going to do that well).

Are these trades ones that are put here by people with dust on an exchange they didn't withdraw and then decided they may as well list a trade there to see what happens and maybe they can withdraw those coins at some point if it ever triggered.

P.s. I wasn't sure where to put this but speculation seemed alright. Although it's more speculating about the traders than the price which is what you want to do anyway to be able speculate on the price.

One of the seeds is in my head only... Only

 Roll Eyes Shocked lol...funny.
Have you heard of dementia  Huh In case you have not, it is a disease that affects the brain , usually associated with old age.
Again, there are some illness that can make you lose your acuity, memory loss etc.

You sure won't be happy that your coins were lost into tin air just because you didn't save your passphrase in a hardware

I will because nothing else has access to it and I'm not very old.

I can mitigate round this and I went with the first option of time locking a transaction.
6014  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My experience with running a lightning network channel on: February 18, 2019, 10:23:05 AM
I think that last bit is more of a constraint of the app and not of an actual lightning node.

It's an incentive to host your own node and not a spv one to propagate the network better and it is more secure.
6015  Other / Ivory Tower / Re: The Jet Cash coffee lounge thread. on: February 17, 2019, 10:08:43 PM
Iodine was removed from bread in the UK. I buy Himalayan pink salt because it contains traces of Iodine. most table salt is refined, and contains additives to ensure it is free flowing.

Just checking the ingredients and apparently they now add sugar to bread as well Sad. Id say that makes it more of a cake/biscuit now than actual bread...

Having some nice fish and chips is a good way to get more iodine, since it is found in high concentrations in seafood. It's also pretty plentiful in dairy products, so it's fairly uncommon to see true iodine deficiency in developed nations.

I dunno, id get the fish and hold the chips. At a point about a quarter of the way through the portion you think (this is too bland).

Under the salt discussion, the only way you can get salt that's healthy is by going to the beach and catching it yourself although you might end up with a lot of plastic too if you're not careful...
Table salt is almost entirely sodium chloride. Sea salt is potentially a lot healthier and is said to have a much more moderate taste although I haven't added either to food I've eaten so I wouldn't know.

I saw a video of a guy doing a "hit or miss" tiktok challenge thing (as you can tell I know what it is) in a US airport and they thought it was a bomb threat...
6016  Other / Meta / Re: Black screen when loading forum pages in chrome. on: February 17, 2019, 08:21:49 PM
maybe chrome://flags/#disable-accelerated-2d-canvas ?

Just fyi: I've disabled "accelerated 2d canvas" and the problem still occurs. (Android 8.1)

Did you have to do that? I had hope briefly that it was going to fix the issue  Cry.

@iaseko do you know the settings you turned off in order to fix the issue earlier?
6017  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin Mining section, over moderated on: February 17, 2019, 05:53:05 PM
@Dig Bicks have you tried contacting the mods who are assigned for the moderation of that board directly to get an explanation as to why the posts get deleted or moved? Moderators: gmaxwell, -ck, frodocooper

You probably don't need to contact gmaxwell since other section moderated by him isn't over-moderated.

Frodocooper is probably the best one to contact, I was told he did a lot of the overmoderation.
6018  Other / Meta / Re: Black screen when loading forum pages in chrome. on: February 17, 2019, 04:55:20 PM
I disabled that setting so I'll see if it happens again now. It's strange they'd enable it by default though if it's an experimental feature...

If you have deposited funds with them then you can sign a message from it and they might be able to unlock your account (provided that money came from your own wallet and not an exchange account).
6020  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcoin Mining section, over moderated on: February 17, 2019, 01:43:10 PM
Isn't that a good thing if the board is under serious moderation? At least we still have one of the few boards,  quality conversation can be associated with. The strict moderation is driving away spammers and scammers and  other moderators should make the boards they're moderatoring more spam free as the mining board is. Instead of complaining lets encourage them they're doing their jobs well.

It's also driving a lot of other users away from posting there because of the at least heavy moderation. L

It’s definitely a heavily moderated section, but many people make posts about altcoin mining that are regularly removed.

I'd argue when I had issues with that board, the heavy moderation turned into unreasonable moderation and people telling me to flog the dead horse of a thread that already existed there and said "if a thread is spammy, post there and stop it from being" and I'm still not sure that made any sense. I mean it can't change the previous pages of a thread.

It's clear those mods are trying to keep themselves in employment and keep a low profile around the rest of the forum to show how "great" their board is... Even stackoverflow has less harsh rules.
