6001  Economy / Speculation / Re: Report: Google Search Volume and Tweets responsible for Bitcoin Price Surge on: May 22, 2019, 03:31:34 AM
Of course when the price of bitcoin or crypto is increasing, more people who are going to search for it or even tweet. But I don't think they are responsible though and I don't see any correlation whatsoever.

Again, it's a normal process, we have seen this in the past, specifically in 2017 when the price was about to break for a new all-time-high.
6002  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: May 22, 2019, 03:23:20 AM
And just like that, with the win, the series goes down to the best of 3.

Kyle Lowry had responded again scoring 25 points but it was a team effort, I think they never trailed in this game  and had lead 15 points or more in the last 15 minutes or so. Good win for Toronto and it looks like we are in for another game 7 thriller.
6003  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Craig Wright recognised by US Govt as Satoshi, author of white paper on: May 21, 2019, 05:57:18 PM
But CCN say's Craig Wright is not Satoshi,  Grin

https://www.ccn.com/technical-proof-craig-wright-not-satoshi-nakamoto

Lol, and the drama still continues, I don't think there will be complications on bitcoin. Why he gonna do next? wipe out all the chains? I don't know why the guy is up to, but for sure he is fraud and not Satoshi, who write the original whitepaper.
6004  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's up with bitcoin SV? on: May 21, 2019, 04:21:02 PM
Pump-and-dump. The price is cheap compared to bitcoin so obviously casual investors can buy them and be a bag holder of Bitcoin SV.

So that's how smart investors do their magic here, look for a cheap coin and then they pump it like hell and the next thing you know, the price suddenly plummets because they wanted out and book profits very easy. Don't fall for this kind of trap.
6005  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Crypto trading signals review on: May 21, 2019, 04:15:16 PM
I would advise you to stay away from this kind of trading signal groups Not worth to pay them even a penny just to get into some pump-and-dump scheme.

In the end, you might ended losing more, instead of profiting. I've tried some of them in the past, and I would say it's a complete opposite. Only those admins or mods will earn from this and not casual Joe's like you and me.
6006  Economy / Economics / Re: Starbucks, Nordstrom And Whole Foods Now Accept Bitcoin on: May 21, 2019, 05:22:23 AM
Not on our country yet, but once Starbucks here accepted Bitcoin people will notice cashless order and Bitcoin will become a talk of town until every news will cover how Bitcoin works.

Starbucks is still a hot commodity in my country, it's like a fashion statement if you are buying and holding a cup with a Starbucks sign on it,  Grin. So if they're going a Starbucks world wide acceptance of bitcoin, I'm sure it will be talk of the town and bitcoin will be known here.

Unfortunately, as far as I know, only selected stores are going to initially accept bitcoin, so perhaps just an experiment on their end and see how their market will react.
6007  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Andrew Yang or John McAfee? on: May 21, 2019, 05:15:06 AM
Lesser of two "evil'? I would sure choose Andrew Yang all day long over John "eat my dick" McAfee. I mean who the in the hell would take John seriously? What would he do when he become the next POTUS?

But I don't think that either one of them will win though, it will take them a lot of luck to be even nominated or get the nod of their parties.
6008  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling with your Parents on: May 21, 2019, 04:53:00 AM
in my hometown there is a unique habit where families play gambling every New Year's Eve gathering. playing with family or our parents consider it normal. even though actually gambling in my country is illegal. but because it has become a culture for every family it seems like the state is giving dispensation that night. gambling against family or parents in that night is just to have a fun, win or lose is not a problem. because we play for happiness.

If you are going to look at, it's more of a tradition. We also have similar family bonding or traditions similar to that during Christmas or New Year's eve. Just a simply bingo game wherein everyone is involved and it's all of fun during that holiday season.

But to totally play in like online or traditional casino, I don't know, I still have my feelings that it shouldn't be done with your parents.
6009  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Prediction 2020 - 2021 on: May 21, 2019, 04:47:38 AM
I think that you should not try to find a clear correlation between some events such as major hacks that took place a few years ago and those that happen this year. Most likely this is an accident and these events are not interconnected in any way. However, due to the fact that global market cycles largely make the market look like what happened a few years ago - for this reason it may seem to us that some very similar events are occurring.

Of course, the economics of the markets has changed a lot. Just look at the hack of Mt. Gox, everyone was affected because majority of traders are into Mt. Gox. But now we have a lot of exchanges now so there might be impact if we hear exchanges are hacked, but it doesn't mean it will have a long term affect to us.

As long as we hit a new all-time-high in 2020-2021, I'm fine with it.  Grin
6010  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: May 21, 2019, 04:23:38 AM
There you go. Warriors is waiting in Finals. I really thought, Blazers will steal game4. Oh my, they have 3.3sec left for the last shot in OT, they rush it. I knew it, it won't go, they rush it, the form is bad. Anyway, kudos to Blazers they put a good fight and it's really entertaining eventhough they didn't won even one game. Warriors is well rested before entering NBA Finals.

Another familiar scenario, Portland leads, then GSW made a comeback and wasn't able to produce the game winning shot.

Curry did have a crucial turn-over though that could have finished the game, a traveling violation. But it just delayed the inevitable as they swept Portland. They really put a good defense of Lillard on the closing seconds of the OT and wasn't able to get a good look.
6011  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: May 20, 2019, 06:43:58 AM
Whoever is paying to watch the Eastern Conference finals have their monies worth. Whoever wins this series will be pretty much banged up and will likely lose to the Warriors who are doing very well even without KD.

Yep, that's why it's important for GSW to close out the Trailblazers have a good rest while waiting for the East showdown. And they came out fresh and hungrier and win their 3rd straight championship. As for Kahwi, he is not over rated, he had the experienced with San Antonio and he knows how important this game is and he is not willing to let it go whether 2 or more OT's.

No doubt about KL but him grinding out every game with the Bucks after that 7-game series with Philly, I'm not sure if he's body can sustain it. He's already hurt in Game 3. Other starters and their bench really needs to step up.

The guy is only human, I don't think he can sustain day in, day out the brutally of having to grind hard every day against a tough team like the bucks. Even Michael Jordan or Kobe or Lebron gets tired so Kawhi Leonard is no exception. They are still trailing, anything can happen but I don't think he can sustain playing 40-50 minutes all series long.
6012  Other / Off-topic / Re: Favorite Bitcoin exchange? on: May 20, 2019, 06:32:07 AM
The real question is... What is your favorite Bitcoin exchange?

It's still Binance on top of my list, although I'm not a big trader, their 2 BTC withdrawals without KYC is good enough for me.

OKex is fine as well, never had bad experience with them. And when it comes to shitcoins and pumps, I like HitBTC, yeah, I know, almost everyone here frown them, but hey, still good for me.  Grin
6013  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CBS '60 Minutes' 5/19/19 on Bitcoin. Will it cause FOMO or FUD? (Take the Poll!) on: May 20, 2019, 04:41:30 AM
The whole segment was about charlie shrem known as bitcoin moses and his fall into bad luck with taking a payment which was used to buy illegal things on the dark web.
It did have some good points but overall it was just directed towards the public view about it. As a skeptical thing to use and banks were safer with its fiat financial system. Roll Eyes

This one. I think it was more on Charlie than bitcoin itself. So I say it's just a so-so interview and wouldn't have cause that much FOMO.

But at least we have that mainstream covering it, so I say it might bring some effect in the future. And there could be more sensationalized coverage later, who knows.  Grin
6014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be Aware of Scams as Crypto prices goes up! on: May 20, 2019, 04:03:01 AM
So it's 2017 again? Wherein there's a lot of scam projects and investors doesn't do their due diligence but are more willing to throw their money around and bitch later?

That is why we always tell investors to DYOR before investing on ICO's or whatever you want to involved money in crypto because scammers are everyone so just be careful and use our common sense.
6015  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Did you earn from the lastest bull run of BTC 3k4-8k3?? on: May 20, 2019, 03:54:01 AM
I didn't earn because I simply didn't dump it. I'm for the long haul so obviously, I'm looking like in the new ath before I finally think of getting some profits.

But for those who wanted to book profits @8400 then that's cool though, as long as you can make a decent profit here and not losing money, I congratulate you.  Grin
6016  Economy / Economics / Re: Your Source of Investment Money? on: May 20, 2019, 03:26:03 AM
I have savings, a 6 mont bucket that I put up years ago. So that is the where my money investment came from. I also have some small business wherein I can take the profits from it and re-invest on crypto.

I believed that bitcoin is the best performing assets that's why I don't have any qualms on investing on it. Of course they are risk, but I've learn to mitigate it at some point.
6017  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2019 NBA Season on: May 20, 2019, 03:14:48 AM
Why would it take them double OT to try and win game three? Embarrassed
This means they are not dominant enough even at home to put this team away and even if they win the next one they will struggle went they have to go back to the FiServ center and beat them there.
I cant see the raptors going to the finals.
Kawhi is all hype and missed both shots having to send the game it into both those overtimes. The first one I was saying "Why take the three just pass it to siakim underneath and put the game away!" They were up by two with 7 seconds left.
They dont know how to finish games and this is critical especially in the playoffs.

Good point. Obviously, they put everything on the line here and live another day. Leonard in game 2 really looks very tired and again he pushes his body to the limit. It might be just mental lapses on him, but at least they won this game.

Siakam was a big surprised to me this game. He was very aggressive, maybe he saw what the media is saying that he suddenly disappear in this series. Still a good win though and let's see if they can tie the series next game.
6018  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin is heading back to $6k on: May 19, 2019, 05:19:56 AM
And just like that, the price is heading to $8k now.  Grin

It only goes to show that we are indeed in the bull run zone. Although $6k is still possible when their is a negative news that will affect the mindset of many investors.

But for now, the rally is continuing after a healthy pullback around $7k. So we are still all good at this point and hope that there will be no negative news that will have a negative impact.
6019  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bull or bull trap on: May 19, 2019, 05:13:32 AM
Major decline has happened today, bitcoin is down over 10% already and I hope this is not a result of the bull trap.

7 days low is $6280 and high was $8300, so this could just be a correction since we got good increase for the past 7 days.
Bitcoin today down below $7000 but I'm glad it's back to over $7K now.

Hopefully the dumpers are done, let's see from here if there will be a bounce back uptrend.
Usually a higher dip is been experienced before the graph sky reaches. It is something which was been expected by a lot of peoples including me and I individually bought some more coins at the dip so it does not really matter me know. The price is surely going to reach moon and so I will hold in any market conditions.

The dumpers tried their best but could not make the price for bitcoins reach bottom so now let's see how high the price for bitcoins would be taken by the big whales. Huge bounce can be expected as if the price reaches a good dip, the big whales fill in their pockets which is a good sign for all of us as it would take the price for bitcoins to the moon.

There is a bounce today, bitcoin is up 7% as we speak. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/
And, we are close to $8K, so I don't think we will not breach this price again and once we breach this, price action that is uptrend might continue.
We have 11 days to complete this month, I highly believe it's possible to reach at laest $9,000 since $10,000 is not likely to happen.

Correct, was surprised to see the price goes on a spike. Last time I checked before I go to bed the price is just around $7300 and then when I woke up, it's $7700 and now $7900. I think we will have this run up to $8400 again before making another healthy correction.

So let's see how it goes, I'm sure everyone is happy waking up to see the price climbing back to $8 once more.
6020  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are you secretive about trading currency? on: May 19, 2019, 04:57:56 AM
When people ask, What do you do for a living? I have a full time job, but I also trade crypto-currency.  I do not like telling them about my currency and Bitcoin activities because when I tell people about trading currency online our relationship sometimes changes. They start scheming or they think "I can do that, better than you" and I suspect they want to secretly start trading too.

Does anybody relate to this?

On the contrary, I will tell my friends that I do trade. But they think it's the traditional stock markets because I'm been trading stocks ever since.

So I don't know if some of my friends who I told about bitcoin is secretly trading behind my back. But I have no problem whatsoever though, the more the merrier.  Grin

At least if they have been trading crypto, they will learn how to earn money on the sideline.
