6022  Other / Meta / Re: Why only securities have a tagged like this on childboard of Marketplace? on: July 17, 2020, 06:28:01 AM

Hello there thanks. I thought only on that, at least I know therr are three childboards that have this kind of warning.

Putting them in every section misses the point that people need to be careful. Then it becomes something that you hear everyday and you tend to no longer see the depth of the idea.
Not really on every section but only to those which I think needed these kind of warning. Those that are mentioned in the OP. I understand the point but, like I said, even though its annoying or lets say users tend to ignore it at least there is always a reminder from the forum. Im not suggesting every section, cause it will be too much. Or yet, have some different approach of warning that is different from the three boards that are likely to be hyips/mlms.
6023  Other / Meta / Why some childboard have a tagged like this on some section? on: July 17, 2020, 05:20:53 AM
Ive just observed it when I visitied the securities childboard. There is a warning message on top of every topics when you clicked it.

This is a good warning and I think its better if this will also implement on other childboards that have transaction and negotiation deals like Goods, Services, Lending, and Currency Exchange. Maybe it will be annoying but it will always remind some people before they even tried to invest, trade, or have some deal with other new projects/people.

I am not familiar too with this term  "caveat emptor" and when I checked it online it means:

Quote from: Oxford Dictionary
The principle that the buyer alone is responsible for checking the quality and suitability of goods before a purchase is made.

Nice words to add on warning message. Also it shorten the sentence as well.

Just a suggestion maybe there is a good reason why only it appears on Securities childboard alone and I appreciate to know details about it.

6024  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [WARNING] Oqex.io is Running a scam Arbitrage Trading Group on: July 17, 2020, 04:53:00 AM
Very clear that they are not registered and trades there are fake. A 600$+ difference is too good to be true. They needed more victims and that's why they use telegram which is known to be a home for scammers.
Thats a huge spread gap on price. No wonder they could raise the price that high not without a secret. I done arbitrage trading in the past and the gap on some of my tokens trading could give me profits however as huge as that, you can already noticed that there is something fishy going on.

Does this exchange asking for KYC?

Found the exchange name funny, oqex, it seems they want to be recognized close to okex name isnt it.
6025  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Help please on: July 17, 2020, 04:43:20 AM

İm tired of scammers and ponzi scheme pyramids, im looking for a good investment platform if there's one. My budged is low becouse of the covid19 and gets lower day by day.

Hello if you want a legit investment I think the only advice could give you is bet your btc on trading or yet exchange it for exchange coins that could let you participate on IEOs. So far the return of investment on on top IEOs are not disaapointing but only limited to Binance, Okex, Gate.io, and Kucoin. Aside from these other markets for IEO are not okay for me.

Also there are some good returns on some altcoin for staking like AWC with a chance to earn up to 20% interest.

DISCLAIMER:Im not endorsing but just suggesting and not affiliated on any of these methods Ive mentioned. Its just all based on my own experience.

6028  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [scam] Twitter hacked and Cryptoforhealth on: July 16, 2020, 02:09:12 PM
I think we won't see any rectifying on behalf of Twitter in this situation, I would be happy if I'm wrong though.
I do hope they would, massive bitcoin were stolen in an instant due to twitter irresponsibility. Yeah maybe its not wise to fall for this kind of giveaway but like other's said here it was started on their own platform giving the choice to victim a dead end.

Nothing helps when you have insider job hack, but there must be some kind of protection that is working as Trump was not hacked yet  Smiley
Someone could abused this to cause much more harm in the world.
Maybe they know they will end up in jail directly if they messed up on a jaguar like trump. So they wont even try it.

6031  Other / Off-topic / Re: How the latest twitter hack might be explained by past history on: July 16, 2020, 05:18:42 AM
https://twitter.com/TwitterSupport/status/1283591846464233474

The latest update from twitter would appear to confirm it.
So this move is planned including some of their employees. Twitter should investigate every single of those personnel they had, they are not sure whose the culprit Im not a negative thinker but I dont want to assume that even them could part of this. No one knows, how could a security breached instantly? Top executives of their firm might be considered as part of it.

I hope all those who were hacked sue twitter for such violation, and of course, that the hackers be caught as well.
This will be due process but I do hope they do, with money collected by this hacked this will not be tolerated by authorities and demand a response from Twitter. It might be hard to track identities of those hackers using blockchain but I wish they be caught.
6032  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [scam] Twitter hacked and Cryptoforhealth on: July 16, 2020, 04:47:42 AM
Oh boy! I saw this Tweet and this address has 35k btc which according to the tweet also belong to the scammer who did this twitter incident.

Code:
1A5PFH8NdhLy1raKXKxFoqUgMAPUaqivqp

These guys knows well how to do it and when. Imagine how many people got fooled by using authentic accounts of known people including previous President Obama. I believe this is a group who operates at large scam scale attempt. How could they amass 35k btc that worth $300 million? This will affect the crypto industry, no matter where we viewed it.

Twitter is at fault here and should rectify for those who victimized by sending bitcoins to the scammer wallet.

6035  Economy / Scam Accusations / [SCAM]Fake QTUM airdrop and selfdrop ICO! on: July 15, 2020, 04:22:10 AM
What Happened:
A twitter aidrop was spotted giving up airdrop by fake QTUM. This is obviously fake. QTUM is a big project and will not do this kind of method for giveaway. The real twitter account has 180k followers while the fake only have 1.3k followers, still those figure are huge for victims of this account that wills end their details.

Thank you for all this information, it is very helpful.
Regarding #1, is it fine to post there if it's possible to win Bitcoin via PvP and whatnot, or what that be considered Gambling?
Mentioning that there will be incentives of BTC there would be fine, but requiring them to post or replied with prizes should be on another section appropriated. You can post here: Games and Rounds As long as its not any altcoin it will be okay.

Im not sure if pure games platform can be accepted on Gambling announcement so I suggest Project Development since its more like you are developing a new platform right. What kind of games we are talking here?

6039  Other / Meta / Re: Getting Started: Beginner Questions on: July 15, 2020, 02:45:00 AM
Greetings

My questions are straightforward;
#1: Which is an appropriate section to post this in?
Project Development

#2: Where can I find rules about posting said game? If there are any specific rules
In here
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2028417.0

#3: The website will contain an investment section, what are the rules regarding promiting the site or investment area directly?
Stated on my answer on question 2. As long its not an ICO, but probably not cause you mentioned BTC

#4: Are the any rules regarding Post Size, Image height, Videos etc etc that I should be aware of?
theymos said:

1.5 does really suck, 2.5 would be perfect

OK, I increased it to 2.5.

Eitherway man the proxy thing is annoying...  Undecided

Also some discussion about the topic here, regarding your concern.
Are there still size limits on image posting
6040  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Netermix Possible Ponzi Scheme Scam on: July 15, 2020, 02:26:06 AM
@cryptoaddictchie - can you make the posted images readable so at first glance, users can read what is highlighted? thanks.
Hi enlarge a bit the size. Using mobile, so Im not sure what does it looks on PC for other users. You need to zoom out a little for phones, not reallt hassle. I just dont want to put too much size.

Even if they run airdrop program, I don't think users from this forum will avail such worthless airdrop. So far, no one bothers to comment on their airdrop thread.
People learned already and instead of wasting money on these kind of investment scheme, they should buy coins that has potential and trade it. Or other's with good staking program that are legit.

~snip~
I agree, typical ponzi scheme. I wonder how much their capital spending for creating such project like this.

Good job "cryptoaddictchie". You can open another flag against the ANN thread publisher by referring your topic link. Eagerly waiting to support the flag from my side.
Hello thanks for the support. Created the flag feel free to support, just passing by on the bounty section and noticed this suspicious project so I decided to dig a little.
