6021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where DeFi is headed on: April 05, 2021, 10:03:07 AM
Think you should start shortening the posts because I had to scroll way down to find the new reply...

Truancy Token as an example of an Access Credit, this would be done with a School or Corporate Office, and it would work like Vacation Benefits where the person earns rewards for appearing at work or school, and they then can use those to access Graduation or Promotion, and they can also go on an exchange to be sold, or technically if the Company wants they could be bought and traded for rank. But in the school model they would be a reward that could then maybe be traded in to the school for prizes, for example it could be a booster club currency.

Pretty crazy to think of the projects all coming up but I see projects like these as all regular crypto use cases, NOT Defi?

I mean what's the financial product or service aspect of this Truancy token? It's not a network or service per se, just another tokenized version of something else.

And it's not a great use case I'd say plus it's a very bad choice for a name. Truancy is the opposite of attendance and you shouldn't get recognition for attendance in financial terms IMO.

For determining winners, some mathematical calculations are done.
In the case the picked user has won one of previous prizes, calculations are done again.

I've only just thought of the question now, don't know why I never thought about it before:) If I was already drawn as a winner are all my other tickets disqualified or are they still in the running for the next prize and then calculations redone if a winner's tickets are drawn again?

Just asking because, if I won 10th prize, but was drawn again for 1st prize. Do I win the bigger prize or am I disqualified for that?

In fact... are all prizes drawn at the same time? And if multiple winning entries, do we get the bigger one?

Curious now:)
6023  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am writing an article on how to stop bitcoin. Can you guy help out? on: April 05, 2021, 08:03:28 AM

Wall Street hand to manipulate markets
JPMorgan talking bad now entering
Coinbase ipo
Etfs
Institutional long and short
Bitmex guy under investigation

Bitmex is not Wallstreet. Coinbase also is not Wall Street. ETFs mainly is not even real Bitcoin just cash settled mainly and majority of it will not even touch BTC markets, so I think a lot of these here aren't even related. Institutional long shorts maybe want to manipulate markets but this has nothing to do with STOPPING Bitcoin?
6024  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price predictions based on actual data / mathematics on: April 05, 2021, 06:48:25 AM
I don't know the answers to these questions but it seems one day at least the buyers will have to run out and btc drops massively maybe to 0.

Food for thought.
You say based on actual data/mathematic, I just say this is a stupid statement based on a newbie in cryptocurrency..

How many people that already know about bitcoin?? Still, a lot of people don't know, what will happen if all people around the world know it?? Then they withdraw all their money from the bank go to Bitcoin??

So, learn about Bitcoin before make a stupid statement "will drop massively maybe to 0".. lol

The "actual" and "data/methematics" kind of gave it away in the title to be honest! I think anyone who opens an argument with saying they are using actual things are actually doing the opposite;)

Data-based technical analysis is usually good enough for me. I won't believe it but I find it much more interesting than all these other supposed hypothesis based "actually" on opinion;)
6025  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: This is why you DON'T want go short now 84% of the bearish options has wiped out on: April 04, 2021, 03:43:12 PM
Once the market jumped high those people will surely regret shorting the market.

It's tough to anticipate so better to aim for long term investment, whatever happened you'll not going to panic as you set your
goals for long term and you are willing to wait till it achieved your target value. Most of the time it's up to how you understand
the market and how willing you are holding and waiting for the right time.

Can't agree more. We just have to accept that for most of us, we'll never have enough time or expertise to do this the way it deserves. Which makes hodling simply the best option there is out there. I bet you, most traders will regret wasting all that time trading when they could have made much more just buying and holding (and actually going out and earn with a real job).
6026  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A fake app in apple app store stole his life savings in bitcoin on: April 04, 2021, 03:08:35 PM
Nothing new this is why we have Scam Accusations boards and more to keep awareness to the other member also to the people about the fake application this is the reason why other people give a bad image to the bitcoin or in other coins because of that application which is not a legit or reliable only thing they do is to scam mostly the beginners. To make sure it's safe it's better to research the application and double-check if this is the legit one else report immediately so google or another app store will remove this app. Also, check the developer if the same as the original. AFAIK Apple has better application security than the other brands because they focus on the security for their users.

No, Scam accusations is for the forum strictly. To warn people of services and people who you can't tell could be scammers.

Fake apps? Fake websites? You just have to do your own protections. Bookmark correct websites. Use a password manager so you never need to enter passwords on fake websites. And apps. The worst of it all. Download only verified apps.
6027  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: April 04, 2021, 12:20:41 PM
Whoever is saying Atletico will fall has been saying that for months,,, so in fact of situation nothing has changed except that Real and Barca are improving their form and not dropping as many points. I see Real still managed to get the full points even missing Ramos so now we have to do our job tomorrow.

Sevilla v Atletico Madrid - Under 2.5 Goals

I think this will be over 3.5 goals actually:)
6028  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Low volume coins good for investment now? on: April 04, 2021, 10:51:36 AM
It all depends on your choice of researching low volume altcoins, you should also be prepared for all the risks involved. use money whose value does not make you frustrated and you are sure you can accept losing that amount of money when you experience a loss (although of course there will be a sense of regret). Because indeed the risk in this type of trading is high

I always say, if you can use the crypto for something, then you don't really lose much no matter if the price goes down. Which is why Bitcoin LTC Doge are all great for me at casinos to gamble. ETH you know can always be used as gas for dapps so no matter what, you can survive market shocks until prices recover.

Really tempted to look at the trading contest but I have had such a bad experience with trading I don't think anything will convince me to fire up my Binance again.

Good luck to those trying though, price is still on an upwards trend and there's still more than 24 hours to go for this promo;)
6030  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: April 03, 2021, 02:50:54 PM
As joker_josue pointed out, referees have been performing poorly in the qualifiers. He mentioned two matches, but there were a few others as well (penalty kick given during Spain vs Greece is an example). During the Serbia vs Portugal match, Cristiano Ronaldo scored a goal that was 100% clear, but the referee didn't allowed it. In the end, Portugal was forced to share points with Serbia, as the match ended in a 2-2 draw. On the other hand, UEFA has claimed that complexities caused as a result of the COVID 19 pandemic was preventing it from using VAR. I fail to understand the correlation between the two.

Wasn't aware of that actually (except the Ronaldo one since him throwing away his armband and storming off caused a sensation everywhere). The ref for the portugal match seems to have apologized so that's okay. I mean, refs always will make mistakes but for some reason I'm happier to take that than unnecessary VAR calls that give armpits offsides for goals, what do you think?
6031  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Chipotle free Bitcoin giveaway on: April 03, 2021, 01:31:11 PM
I got a 403 error when visiting the website so couldn't give this a try. Anyone else know? Or is this because of a location/geo restriction only for USA citizens?
Same here, when I open the site I get the same 403... And I'm thinking they only allow USA IP. and that's a wise move, they want to do marketing and give away money to other countries people is like wasting that marketing budget.

Always wondered how chipotle tastes like, see it on meme sites all the time (along with other US brands I never seen or tasted). Big news for Bitcoin as we go above 60k!
Chipotle tastes sweet and spicy, I would say the sweet part is what makes it different than another chili. There is a Mexican recipe called 'Albondigas', and they use chipotle for it, if you ever have the chance, try it because it tastes awesome.

Fair enough, I thought so too. And thanks for telling me about them. It's very strange for us in Asia to read about chilis being something different in another country. For us it means something very hot (not just spicy like pepper but hot like chili pepper). We have pizzas and tortillas and other things but I'm sure they taste very different in south and north America (sorry if I get it wrong).
6032  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ BitcoinPRBuzz.com's ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: April 03, 2021, 11:55:31 AM
I just bookmark the threads I must visit but then my bookmarks get so big and watch lists also get rather big, so I actually STILL have to remember to see the bookmarks/watch lists to actually come to these threads;)

I am feeling like Real could lose again tonight but maybe a draw is more likely what do you think? Seems Ramos got injured again during the internationals and will not play. He really is that important to Real;)
6033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will stablecoins replace Fiat currencies in the future? on: April 03, 2021, 11:23:45 AM
Cost to transfer USDT now: $20 at the very cheapest and slowest speed. Average is $40.

So the world's most popular stablecoin, and many other less stablecoins all using Ethereum will cost you that much.

How can it replace fiat currencies which are mainly free to transfer to each other (except cross border).

I support crypto but it's not yet ready.
6034  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Chainlink (LINK) a good investment? on: April 03, 2021, 08:00:23 AM

Saw this too was actually surprised they didn't partner up earlier. Chainlink is now partners with practically every coin and project in defi now that has a team using their oracles. Wonder how decentralized it really is.

Still space to go up to $50 I guess?
6035  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ripple ever reach $5 ? on: April 02, 2021, 06:41:11 PM
Let me surprise you. Every altcoin is guilty of price manipulation at some point and base on what I read the major key player they use to achieve this manipulation is the exchange site that provides liquidity though XRP is a very very manipulated and scam project which didn't have any value/important to the crypto setting.

But dude you're not surprising me at all, and I'm pointing out that XRP is more of a manipulation mechanism than most other coins. I totally agree altcoins are 99% pump and dump (maybe even 99.9 since there are only maybe 10 good coins from 10000!).

Exchanges are the biggest culprits, agree. Bitfinex and Tether showed everyone else how to do this:)
6036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will ADA and eth competitors get dumped if/when Ethereum 2.0 comes out? on: April 02, 2021, 05:01:27 PM
The new ones like BSC and Polka might get some outflows back to ETH though.

Depends from how developers will engaged with those alternative chain, the fact that ETH update might resolve the problem
with transaction fees,

Those developers who jumped out might think back and again use the  ERC chain, it will bring those old support plus those
new developers to use the system.

We will see what will happen after the update.
[/quote]

ETH will resolve it. It's just a matter of when, and I think people in general who have left ETH don't believe it's happening according to schedule (they're behaving like Bitcoin people who left the main network because they thought BTC was too slow).

Like you said though, we'll only really find out after the update.
6037  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ BitcoinPRBuzz.com's ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: April 02, 2021, 03:18:44 PM
Don't forget everyone tonight La Liga returns with one game Levante vs Huesca. I've put my bets and predictions into Superbru but all I'm hoping for is Barca to keep their form and Real to drop theirs. Which is why I hate the international breaks as they can have a bad effect on club performance and form.

6039  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Fees for bitcoin mixing? on: April 02, 2021, 02:10:25 PM
OP, importing private keys into ANY wallet supporting it is free. It does not involve any transaction on the blockchain which sweeping does. Sweeping also confused me in the beginning a lot as I never understood it just means "spending everything in one transaction to another wallet".

Reserve the sweep into Binance:)
6040  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: April 02, 2021, 01:05:24 PM
BTW, during the Germany vs North Macedonia match, the referee was extremely biased. If not for his wrong decisions, it would have been 3-0 for North Macedonia (gave an unnecessary penalty kick for Germany, and then denied one for North Macedonia on a clear handball).

I didn't realize this actually. All the news reports I read said Germany took control but Macedonia's defence was very resolute plus the awful Werner miss at point blank.

I guess the news wanted to be kind to the Germans. Good news for the neutrals!
