6041  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First (?) Hospital to accept bitcoin on: December 01, 2014, 09:52:31 PM
A quick follow up.

According to bitcoin.pl, one couple have chosen that hospital (Medicover, Warsaw) for the birth of their child and they'll be paying for the service with bitcoins.

So probably it's the first case like this in history.

It was presented as a 'news flash' not a full article, so cannot provide a link.

6044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DOGE] Dogecoin - very currency many coin - v1.8 Required Update on: December 01, 2014, 01:41:38 PM
I've been working with someone to bring something amazing out for Dogecoin. We just finished stage 1! It's looking promising Smiley We're excited!!!

Great...what kind of vague details can you offer at this point?

Well I'll tell you that it's a form of cold storage. Smiley

Paper wallet or made of precious metals? (If made of Sterling or .999 silver, you may have a buyer right over here  Smiley )

You can use silver wallets

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=525756.0

And put DOGE private key instead of BTC inside, but then the BTC on the coin wouldn't really match the content  :/

6046  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitcoinCasino.info | All you need to know about Bitcoin gambling! on: December 01, 2014, 12:56:26 PM

Hi pawel7777,

Please be informed that most of our partners are promoted for free, only some top spots in ranking or advertising banners were purchased. Why exactly we should remove DiceBitcoin?

If you represent prcdice brand then you should contact me directly through skype, so we can speak a little bit more about our further cooperation Smiley
Skype - bitcoincasinoinfo

Dicebitcoin apparently scammed many players/investors, it's not operating any more and the domain is for sale.

Nope, I'm not representing PRCdice, just wondered why you have not listed it since it's a major dice site, that's all.
6047  Economy / Gambling / Re: Get FREE 0.005 for registering at FJ on: December 01, 2014, 12:06:41 PM
Can I withdraw that 0.005 automatically?

Apparently yes. Few days ago when I've received the bonus, I withdrew and received it in my wallet, without doing any rollover.
Unfortunately, I think this giveaway is over already.

Correct. This promo is over. FJ may be doing another one, but not sure on that.

And yes, you could withdraw the promo bonus, min withdrawal from FJ is 0.001 (without any tx fees).
6048  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM | No.1 for Cryptocurrency Gambling | Provably Fair | 1 BTC BONUS on: December 01, 2014, 09:44:40 AM
Hello FortuneJack,
Firstly i want to say that i am so happy to find your best bitcoin betting service. But, i have a feature request in DICE Game.
I want to request a feature in AUTO ROLL. Can you add feature to define customly the bet amount after loss. The feature is a better can define their 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th if lose. For example, i want to automate my bet by inputting:

BET AMOUNT/1st bet= 0.00000001 btc
2nd bet if 1st lose = 0.00000003 btc
3rd bet if 2nd lose = 0.00000010 btc
4th bet if 3rd lose = 0.00000040 btc
5th bet if 4th lose = 0.00000090 btc

it works like this. if i click AUTO ROLL, the system will bet the first bet  amount that is 0.00000001. if the first loses, it will automatically use 2nd bet defined amount for next trade that is 0.00000003. if the 2nd bet loses, it will automatically use 3rd bet defined amount for next trade that is 0.00000010. and so on.

Please add this feature. I appreciate the help. Thank you very much.

I am waiting for your kind reply and for the implementation of my requested features. Smiley

Regards,

Andy H

What happens after 5th bet loses?
That's not really a betting system. What's the purpose of such feature?

Don't think it's likely to be implemented. You want to see this feature, someone else may want to be able to adjust payout rate after each bet, or set a bet amount as % of max bet etc. Then, if FJ wanted to please everyone, they would be wasting a lot of time testing/implementing, and as a result the autobet would get way over-complicated and unclear for the 90% who just want to use the basic option.
6049  Economy / Gambling / Re: [SafeDICE.com] Low 0.5% Var House Edge - Fast Cashout & Bet - True Provably Fair on: November 30, 2014, 10:39:30 PM

It's possible for a player to wager huge amounts and break even or even make a profit. In such cases I would expect the house to be unable to pay the referral fees. But in general the site expects payers to lose 0.5% of their wagered amount. They take 10% of that in commission (I guess - I don't know that I've seen that written anywhere), meaning they expect to get 0.05% of the wagered amount. And so they're giving 20% of their expected commission to the referring player.

That's my point. The system looks very risky and destructive (for the operator), unless he holds sufficient reserves. If the site is on loss (or breaks even, or makes a only a very small profit) for a longer period of time, the operator would have to cover ref payments from his own pocket (or his share of investment, which is even worse).

I notice that the 'Copy' button next to my referrer link doesn't light up when I hover over it like all the other active buttons do.

Works fine for me (firefox).
6050  Economy / Economics / Re: WE NEED A DAY!!!!!!!---YOU HAVE TO READ on: November 30, 2014, 10:04:04 PM
Great idea. This black friday thing has trully taken over the world, it has become a worldwide event that started in the USA. We need something similar with Bitcoin where Bitcoin is the main protagonist and you get exclusive Bitcoin discounts, hence giving you a really nice treat and motivation to actually look what Bitcoin is and use it. Once a person uses Bitcoin once then thats a potential lifelong Bitcoin user because he/she learned about it. So we need a Bitcoin day with merchants giving really ridiculous discounts so it becomes world famous and gets on the news. Look at it as an invesment. Merchants put really cheap stuff for Bitcoin, Bitcoin beomes hugely popular, merchants holding Bitcoin see their Bitcoin upvalued a lot.

We need a Bitcoin Shopping Day and ideally around xmas because people is more prone to buy stuff during that time.

OMG. THANKYOU. you get it yes. it is going too happen it is a good idea. (by the way thank you for not spamming or just wtiting something to get your post count up- thats not what threads are for)..... yes you are right on all points. one big difference between singles day and shopping on black friday/cyber monday is that people seem to convert coin to currency to spend it. this is bad for the value of coin and it is useless in getting merchants and media and the public to take notice. WE NEED BTC DAY...... mansler what merchants that accept btc do u think make up the largest part of market share for crypto currency?.....oh and once again thankyou for not spamming

Bitcoin Shopping Day? That's crazy enough to work.

The problem is we already have Bitcoin Black Friday. So BSD would have to replace BBF, otherwise the impact will get diluted. 2 bitcoin shopping events in a year is just one too many. We would need to convince BBF organisers/participants to switch.

I'm curious what would be the merchants' thoughts on the idea.

Could somebody who is not a new user confirm, if this is legit?

+1

No "https", no charity registration/physical address shown, briefly checked bitcoin foundation events/blog - nothing there...

There's some IRS paperwork pdf on their website, but no idea whether legit or not.

Edit: the OP's account was registered in Dec 2013 and the posts are fairly consistent.

thanks!

Sure Clint, that is on our list, will contact you once we are done with it Wink

I can see in my account page there is a ref link for me. So is the ref system fully functional?

Yess, it is fully functional. Just released few minutes ago Smiley

Get up to 0.01% of total wager of players that you refer.

Is this correct? Are you paying on amount wagered, not on player's loss?
How does this work from your perspective? If all the site's income comes from players' losses, aren't you concerned that with that system it could kill your profitability?

Example: if referred player keeps betting small amounts over and over again, it could theoretically generate a greater liability (referral payments) than the player's loss. And of course, it get worse when player ends up with profit.

Also, it says "up to 0.01%" is there a breakdown/table of amount wagered to % commission?

not even a remotely possible...  Cool

OK. Just wanted to exclude the obvious  Smiley
6054  Economy / Gambling / Re: BitcoinCasino.info | All you need to know about Bitcoin gambling! on: November 30, 2014, 04:58:06 PM
Really professionally made website. Well done.

Do you only list sites that paid to be listed? I noticed you don't have a review for prcdice.eu and it's one of the major dice games (biggest funds invested), and you still have DiceBitcoin listed (you should probably remove it).

Good question! And of course it is better, lets take an example:

Flat rate H.E.
You play with 0.75% H.E. and max win of 0.375% of Bankroll (1/2 kelly), for every bet with potential profit less than 0.375% BR, you use flat 0.75% H.E.  Higher than that, you are not allowed to bet.

Variable H.E.
When you play with potential profit 0.375% of the bankroll, you still use 0.75% H.E. Lower than that the site will use lower H.E. instead of flat 0.75%. Higher than that, the site still allows you to bet with higher H.E. (remember that in flat rate, you are not allowed to do so).

That makes sense. But I'm guessing there is some sort of max profit cap? If your BR is BTC23 am I allowed to place a bet with a potential profit of BTC23 (with HE at ~40.5%)? If so, that's very risky for you.
6057  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Congratulations to Bitcoin! on: November 30, 2014, 01:04:53 PM

Waaaay too soon to say that bitcoin is no longer 'insanely volatile', I'd say it would take another 3-4 months at stable rate to jump with that conlusion.

We may not see +/- 100-1000% daily price movement, but 20-30% daily jumps are still considered extremely volatile.
6058  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM | No.1 for Cryptocurrency Gambling | Provably Fair | 1 BTC BONUS on: November 30, 2014, 12:22:03 PM

Initially Affiliate Payments were scheduled on 25th of every month but due to some technical issues Affiliate Payment date was set to 5th of every month. We updated this info on our website ...

Just a quick one. I've seen you've updated the payment date on website, but in the affiliate panel, in the "Info" tab, on the very bottom of the page it still says "25th"
6059  Economy / Gambling / Re: [SafeDICE.com] 0.5% House Edge - Fast Bet/Deposit/Withdraw - True Provably Fair on: November 30, 2014, 12:07:12 PM

Hello pawel, on the bottom of the betting box, you can see the Variable H. E. information with (?) button in it. Basically you are right, Variable H.E. means that the House Edge can varies on each roll, it does increase proportionally to the potential profit. But it doesn't stretch from minimum to maximum profit. It depends on the potential profit compared to the bankroll size:
- If your profit on win is equal or below 0.25% of Bankroll, then you'll use 0.5% H.E.
- If your profit on win is equal or below 0.5% of Bankroll, then you'll use 1% H.E.
.
.
.
- If your profit on win is 1% of Bankroll, then you'll use 2% H.E.
- and so on (it is 2 x potential profit / bankroll)

We see that people might not noticing those button and also need more example, we'll include more detail on the FAQ or even creating a special page on it. Thank you for the feedback.

Thanks for clarifying. Didn't notice the "(?)" button, putting more info in FAQ is a good idea, as most people will go there to look for the answers.

That seems like a good system at first, but aren't you concerned that it might discourage players from placing big bets, since they're rewarded with lower HE when betting small?

How is it better than a flat rate of HE, say 0.75%?
6060  Economy / Gambling / Re: [SafeDICE.com] 0.5% House Edge - Fast Bet/Deposit/Withdraw - True Provably Fair on: November 30, 2014, 10:47:30 AM
How does the variable HE work? It's not explained in the FAQ.

Is it random, or does it increase proportionally to the potential profit? Do I get 0.5% HE on bet with minimum profit (1 satoshi) and 1% on max profit, or is there a fixed bet/profit amount after which I get the 1% HE?

Anyhow, the "0.5% House Edge" in the title and "0.5% Variable House Edge" may appear intentionally misleading, it would be fair if you change it to "0.5% - 1% HE".

I like the simple, minimalistic design tho.
