6041  Economy / Speculation / Re: Ascent of Bitcoin Price on: July 30, 2019, 11:08:22 PM
One word that has always pop when questions come like this - unpredictable.

It would be hard to see the price hits up to $19k at the end of this year. It won't be the same but I'm speculating that we're likely to see that a year or two. And everything is likely to happen as I've said it is 'unpredictable'.

But to have a realistic call, I don't think we'll see it then for this year. Though it won't be a surprise if we go near or actually hit it.
6042  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Bull Run ‘Hasn’t Started’ on: July 30, 2019, 10:44:49 PM
What's new with Peter Schiff's commentary about bitcoin? he's a known skeptic and everything he say will always benefit him on what's the agenda he's up to.

Whether bitcoin price goes $20k rapidly, I think that he'll keep saying that's not convincing on him because he's a real skeptic. But if there's something that turn the tides and he's starting to praise it, I guess let's just expect that he has accumulated at this period.
6043  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Thoughts on Video game gambling addiction? on: July 30, 2019, 10:17:09 PM
All addiction regardless of what type is not good for your life because it can cost everything, gambling and video game are both for fun, you feel entertained and challenged at the same time, the only difference is that in gambling you can gain profits if the odds is with you unlike when in video game you are always spending without getting something in return.
I reckon that addiction isn't good in all aspects of our lives. There's already a connection with the entire gaming to gambling industry, the numerous operation of sportsbooks that has e-sports matches on their lists.

I'm now looking to that point of a gamer who's been playing hard and there can be a deep reason why he's doing it. I remember a video about a gamer who's been playing all day long to fight his depression because he has found friends and happiness through that game.

The point is, gambling and gaming has connection but a gamer can still decide whether he'll connect himself to gambling while playing his favorite video games.
6044  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Useless altcoins must remove from the whole crypto market on: July 29, 2019, 11:58:17 PM
This is the legal section for bitcoin under bitcoin discussion. If you want to discuss about altcoins, move this thread to altcoin discussion.

Useless altcoins must be remove from crypto market if it happens then it would be great and very beneficial for crypto world.
These kind of alts will eventually die because they will have no volume anymore or it will start to plummet. And when that happens, traders and investors of these altcoins will start to dump it or sadly if they manage to sell it late and has no buy orders anymore, it's bad for them. Because they will lose their money together with the death of that altcoin.

And the exchange where that coin is listed will eventually delist it.
6045  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Subscription fee for sports betting tips on: July 29, 2019, 11:16:15 PM
There are good tipsters with high profitability rate with corresponding sub fee on monthly basis. Level or Cost of fee will vary on tipsters reputation and winning rate.
But it's hard to find them.

I agree with deadly that reliable tipsters would ask you around $500 or higher and the rate describes his reputation and experience. My factor would be his accuracy, if its verifiable and such records that we can compare on how good the tipster is I think he's asking subscription would be that much.

If I'm desperate to look for a tipster, I'd be willing to pay around $10-$100 this applies for 'real' tipsters.
6046  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What do you think about investment pools? on: July 29, 2019, 10:46:39 PM
Stay away from that kind of scheme, there's a high possibility that whoever is the owner of that group will runaway the funds if he had enough.

Why join pools if you can invest all alone? are they promising that returns will be that much and all of you will make decent money out of this strategy? you are in the internet man and you shouldn't trust anyone with your money.
6047  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin Price Retakes $10K But Remains Short of Bull Revival on: July 29, 2019, 10:16:15 PM
Honestly, when I've looked up to the price @ $9,100. Within few minutes, it's surprising that it had made it up back to $9,500.

No reasons beyond that but I think many are just testing on this phase and thinking if this is a good reentry for them. I smell the same pattern that we had before during around $3k - $5k. We had the same stagnation during those period like we had right now or we just used to see quick movements since it is bitcoin.
6048  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOIN Will hit 1 Million $$$ ? What do you think ? on: July 28, 2019, 09:52:18 PM
Indeed, I can’t imagine bitcoin will hit to 1m though price is unpredictable. Hard to predict what price could reach in bitcoin. And, no one knows what price it will hit in the future. Their is an increase for sure of bitcoin price but I am not thinking to reach a higher price like this.
Having that said that bitcoin has that kind of characteristic but thinking of $1M is unreal to tell you honestly. Sometimes our imagination is working on and we would want to see it but it's all just about dreaming all day long.

It is unpredictable but we are not very much convinced that bitcoin will hit that price as predicted though there's a chance and possibility but it's very minimal. $100k is possible but multiplying that with times 10, I can't imagine on how much the total market cap would be and how long it will take.
6049  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Unable to login Blockchain.info on: July 28, 2019, 09:15:01 PM
I don't trust their app, it's mostly buggy but I haven't experienced your problem. Did it showed a message to check your email because they are automatically requiring you to verify it through it as 2FA if you haven't logged in for a long time.

What's the error message?
6050  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: web crawler developer in need, good pay for the position on: July 27, 2019, 07:01:07 AM
This is the wrong section, what coin you're going to pay for the said position? if its bitcoin with or without altcoins, the right place is on Services.

But, if you will pay in altcoins, the proper section is Marketplace(Altcoins).
6051  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Cryptocurrencies are not harmful for economy on: July 27, 2019, 02:43:39 AM
Anyway,  I don't know for sure any country which banned people from buying BTC. Do you know any?
I'm not sure if this list can be a reliable source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Legality_of_bitcoin_by_country_or_territory

Those countries that are thinking that crypto's are 'harmful', I think it's not really about their economy but the characteristic that they've known about bitcoin. All they know is that bitcoin is used by criminals, for drug trades and other illegal trades but they don't want to research if why many have started using bitcoin.

6052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fortnite World Cup on: July 27, 2019, 02:11:15 AM
Oh, stuff like this even exist?
A fortnite competition with best players, right?
Does this exist for other games— soft games preferably ?
I had thought of competition like this for popular games, didn't know they are legal or exist

This is really legal and esports industry is growing fast. Games like DOTA, CSGO, LOL are having yearly tournaments with big prize pool. Players with an exceptional skill can have the chance to make their passion a living.

Just this DOTA 2019 tournament where the price pool is already $30m.
https://liquipedia.net/dota2/The_International/2019
Im not surprised that there are still people who arent aware with Esports thing which saying or asking if these things are legal.
Take a look on this link which i have searched it do shows how big this esport was https://www.esportsearnings.com/tournaments

About on sportsbook do offers it then https://www.bovada.lv/ do have it.
We can't blame them though and their interest might not be with esports. They don't know that the industry is raking billions of money and many brands are dealing with organizations to create buzz for their product as a sponsor.

People seem to think that these games are just games and they can't be treated as something real. But now, the world is changing and esports is growing. Fortnite and Dota 2 are the games currently that has the largest prize pool for their tournament, this is real money folks.
6053  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Do you want to invest in crypto? on: July 27, 2019, 12:50:49 AM
I only invest in cryptocurrencies after I've done a research for them especially the newly listed coins that has the potential to go up in the future.
I'm actually thinking of being done with this kind of strategy upon investing to altcoins. Something like telling myself that such coins has 'potential' in the near future. I've failed many times looking at those projects but still intact with few of it.

I want to find if the team and developers are continuous to be active in improving their coin or token before investing on it. Most of the altcoins are affected by the pump and dump scheme of some big investors or whales so I have to monitor the coins often with the aid of  technical indicators.
The difficulty of looking with this kind of developers is becoming harder these days. Money talks and it's usually the main reason why they have created the coin but despite of that there are still some few that's really dedicated what they've working it. Just make it a habit that before investing, research.
6054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Peercoin on: July 26, 2019, 11:01:16 AM
is this the right time to fill our bag with an old coins such as peercoin mate?
your toughts please
Don't be amazed with that 30% increase for peercoin. The increase isn't really that much, from the stable price of $0.3 up to $0.4 (30%). Being amazed with that increase can make you trap with that coin.

Old is gold but this is true.
but not all old coin is a gold

Instead of investing to Peercoin, you can look for something better but if you insist and like this coin just be prepare for the swings because it's not exempted from volatility.
6055  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Has anyone gave their hand at Elixxir's Arrow SDK? on: July 25, 2019, 01:57:11 PM
I've known this project because of David Chaum but I think that it is lack of marketing and promotion. I still can't understand the whole idea since I haven't checked and researched the project with my spare time, probably I will if I've got some.

By checking that link, they are conducting a survey so they are still in developing process before the launch. Once this project has been launched and got the attention of the community, many will support this project if David and team will put it on mainstream.
6056  Economy / Economics / Re: thoughts on companies becoming too powerful? on: July 25, 2019, 10:53:54 AM
Hmmmmm, I guess that the government can step in to these large companies if they have been found something illegal, involved into an alarming issue or they don't pay taxes. But as long as they are complying to the government rules and regulations, they won't be touched.

The government earns through these large companies and it's usual to support these businesses as long as they have acquired licenses and they have permit to operate.
6057  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin can go to 42000$??? on: July 24, 2019, 11:59:06 PM
Within a short span, I don't think that we're able to see that price. I'm even eyeing for $100k but that's another story and I want it few years from now.

When we're speculating and wanting to see such tremendous price, we need to consider on how long it should be and what's the current state of the market. It's okay to assume that much as long as it's realistic and you have considered many factors.
6058  Economy / Economics / Re: Over 100,000,000,000 In Volume on: July 24, 2019, 11:01:53 PM
The market seemingly has over 100 Billion in volume and growing as of today
Base on what I've seen on the 24h volume on coinmarketcap, it says around 64 billion.

do you think this is a good or bad thing for the economy and where is the market headed to next?
It's a good thing that there's a big volume and it should grow by time. And if this will continue, we're aware on where the market is heading. We have witnessed many times of falling and rising and we're just going back to what we have seen before.

Speculations and thoughts?
If you are for the Speculations, check the Speculation board. There's plenty of it there.
6059  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dota 2- The International 2019 on: July 23, 2019, 11:50:49 PM
Wow. The prize pool comes on a $25,532,177 to $30,357,275 within a year compared to 2017 price pool which is $24,787,916. Almost $5M was raised within a year compared to last year's $1M. Dota 2 is getting more and more serious competition now. Seems like video games doesnt destroy your future though.

Source: http://dota2.prizetrac.kr
This isn't just a video game anymore but it's now a career and there are sponsorships coming to the best teams because they are recognizable and professional to compete international competitions like The International.

As you can see with the t-shirts of the players, you will be surprised on how many sponsorships they have.

So guys, which team you see to take that Aegis Plaque? Cool
Going back to the topic, I want an underdog to take the plaque this year. Remember OG last year, they were underdogs but they took the aegis. I want to see on how Jabz of team Fnatic is effective as a pos 1 after shifting from being the team's pos 5.
6060  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why does BCH use BTC to gain popularity? on: July 23, 2019, 10:52:41 PM
Is BCH not a fork from bitcoin just like the rest?what do you expect?and the truth is to me BCH is a good altcoin, its better than hundreds of altcoins on CMC if you know what you are doing you will add BCH to your altcoin portfolio
Nope, I wouldn't add this coin on my portfolio and probable other people in the community that's aware of what BCH has been doing to defame bitcoin.

I think you are basing this of because BCH is on the top 5 of the crypto market but what if its rank starts to go down, are you still going to include this coin on your portfolio? probably you will start dumping this coin.
