I guess this is the best answer so far, pretty detailed information, i would like to stress on the fact that you must limit the options on your interface.

For example you can't offer say 100w per board as it will not be possible for the hardware to achieve  regardless of what frequency and voltage you use, so keep the numbers whinin range of how high / low you can go about tuning each board.

It does not matter how you look at it, it was off topic, anybody will see the same thing, just because other posts were not deleted does not mean yours should stay.

I am not denying that your concern is valid, it indeed is,however that topic was not the right place for you and efudd to discuss GPL license , you should either discuss it in his firmware topic or start your own topic, you should also understand that the forum is not obligated to protect "your work" or enforce the GPL rules.

If by "your" you mean Kano then that is wrong, only Jeff Garzik can call this "his idea".

But still nobody is actually stealing anything from Kano or anybody else, all what those guys are doing is simply not complying with the GPL license,  but then again that is more  moral than legal hence ( open source ).

Anyhow back to why the mod deleted his post, it was off-topic , this topic is going no where, but what do i know  

I think the Mod's job is to "enforce" the "rules" of the forum, which means even if a scammer starts a topic admitting that he is a scammer the mod's "can't" delete that post unless it's off-topic or violating the forum rules,  let alone stealing/reselling a piece of code.

As far as i am concern non of the rules states that license violations are not allowed.

There was a similar issue with blissz's firmware where he decided to comply with GPL license and stopped selling his modified version of Cgminer, his thread is still there, it has been there for ages and nothing has been done about it, so I am not sure why do you expect this one to be different.

I am not supporting the act of using the work of other people , modify it and then sell it as your own , but these people know in advance that they are paying for something that is made of an open source but with modifications that they think are "worthy" of the money they pay for it.

بالنسبة للبرافيت كي فهي لا تغادر هاتفك ابدا , ولايوجد IP tracing ولا تقوم المحفظة بتسليم اي بينات خاصة بك لاي احد.

فبكل تاكيد هي امن بكتير من محفظة Omniwallet المتوفرة فقط على ويب ( الشرح يطول ولكن في المجمل المحافظ الموجودة على الويب هي من اقل المحافظ امانا ) , بالنسبة لمحظفة  Trezor فهي بكل تاكيد اكتر امانا من محفظة Coinomi ولكن لا يمكن الاعتماد عليها في النشاطات اليومية وهي مصممة للتخزين الطويل.

I don't know what the firwamre you use is capable of , but in general i am not aware of any thing on a software level that will give you an exact wattage reading, i don't think it is possible, all you going to get are probably just some estimations, i know this for a fact that i use some special OS for my gpus and it does tell you the power consumption of each gpu but the numbers are not accurate enough.

Short answer: get a watmetter.

a member on my Local board asked if he could store USDT off exchange, and I made this small/simple guide in my Local language and decided to translate it to English just in case someone else might be looking for the same thing, I am also not sure if this is the right section or i should move it somewhere else.



For some reason you might want to exchange your BTC  to USDT and the most common way to accomplish this would be sending BTC to an exchange like Binance then selling BTC for USDT

But what if you want to hold your own funds?


First of all you need to know that USDT runs on two different platforms/Blockchains , one is Ethereum another one is OmniLayer, the latter is what most exchanges use.

so in order to store /send / receive  USDT the OmniLayer version, you need a wallet the supports OmniLayer , I will use Coinomi for this example ( Supported on both Android and IOS)


1- Download , Run the wallet ( pretty self-explanatory)

2-Click on +Tokens



3-Chose OmniLayer > TetherUS / USDT




At this point you should see the 2 coins/tokens added to your wallet like so





you will also notice that the 2 have the same BTC address

Think of it as having an ETH address and an ERC20 tokens where both have the same address but show different balances.

now in order to send USDT to an exchange or another USDT wallet, you must have some BTC in Omnilayer , just like Gas in ETH.

The things I have tried

-Receiving USDT from Binance.
-Sending USDT to binance.
-Receving BTC on the Omnilayer BTC address.
-Sending BTC from OmniLayer address.


The other cool thing about this that you can actually exchange your BTC to USDT without having to use an exchange, Coinomi has an exchange feature where it can convert your BTC to USDT and vice versa , but you need to make sure the BTC is in your OmniLayer and not the normal BTC address.

الفترة الماضية قام الاخ خالد باسؤال عن مدى امكانية نقل عملة USDT من منصة مثل باينانس الى محفظة خاصة.

قبل البدي في الشرح يجب علينا ان نعرف ان عملة USDT موجودة على اكتر من بلوكتشين, فهي موجودة على بلكوتشين الاتيريوم ك ERC20 token وموجودة على بلوكتشين Omnilayer وهوا بلوك تشين مبني على بلوكتشين البتكوين نفسه.

مما يعني انه يجب علينا ان نستعمل محفظة تدعم OmniLayer وانا شخصيا استعمل محفظة Coinomi وهي محفظة تشتغل على Android and IOS.

لن اقوم بشرح تحميل وتشغيل المحفظة لانه خارج نطاق الموضوع واعتقد انه سهل جدا على كل حال

عند فتح المحفظة يمكنك اضافة اي عملة تريدها عن طريق الظغط على  Token+  



 تم تختار OmniLayer ثم TetherUS



ستلاحط انه تم اضافة عملتين للمحفظة مثل مافي الصورة تحت




ستلاحظ ايضا ان العملتين لهم نفس العنوان

1- عملة USDT


2- OmniLayer




الموضوع تمام مثلا اي عملة موجودة على الايتيريوم , تستعمل نفس العنوان وعند ارسالك لعملة ما تظهر في رصيد العملة نفسها , ونفس الشي بالنسبة لل Gas يجب ان يكون لديك رصيد في OmniLayer لكي تستطيع تحويل اي مبلغ من عملة USDT بالنسبة لعنوان OmniLayer هوا عنوان بتكوين عادي يمكن ان ترسل له بتكوين من اي محفظة بتكوين.

الاشياء التي جربتها شخصيا.

1- استقبال عملة USDT من باينانس على عنوان USDT في محفظة Coinomi
2- ارسال عملة USDT من محفظة Coinomi الى منصة باينانس
3- ارسال بتكوين من والى OmniLayer address



باستخدام هده المحفظة يمكنك ايضا ان تقوم بتحويل بتكوين لي عملة USDT والعكس من خلال المحفظة نفسها بدون الحاجة لاي منصة.

ارجو ان يكون الشرح كافي, وفي حالة كان لديك اي سؤال ساقوم بالاجابة عنه بعون الله.

Ok great news, your miner is working now , seems like i guessed it right ( surprisingly  ) , despite there is no reason " or non that i know about" on why would a missing asic on a single board will stop the miner from mining,  still it is a fact.

so what do we know now ?

1- the control board is ok
2- fans are good
3- psu is probably good ( there is a chance that it can run 2 boards but not 3 - but this is very unlikely)

now the only way for you to get that other board to work  would be using a different firmware, you might get lucky and find a firmware that will still force that board to run despite the missing Asic/s, for a starter if you are not using 2019 then simply try old firmware such as the 2017 versions , try every firmware bitmain has except for the 2019 version.

if all fails, or if you are already using 2019 firmware , then i would follow @Artemis3's suggestion and try Braiins OS, in fact you have a better "hope" with it than with all bitmain firmware's combined, but for the sake of simplicity it's always wise to try the "easy" fix first.

There is nothing wrong with trying to conduct a good business here, but spamming the form the way he does is pretty much a good enough reason for him to be banned, and i won't be surprised if he is.

There is a thin line between practicing our rights and totally making the forum look terrible because of our spam/shitposts, after all this is not Freelancer.com ,being able to make money here is not a privilege, and not being a shitposter is a rule.

If i had the ability, i would most likely give him a perma-ban for that how shity his posts are, but a negative tag for this matter is indeed not appropriate in my opinion, there is nothing close to serious that suggests he is a scammer or trying to scam, he might be lying about being an Android Dev but still does not make him a scammer.

it's your choice, but i would most certainly not tag him for the reasons you stated.

If that is the case, and I do trust your words for it and also from a technical stand point I know exactly how difficult it would be to "target" a single user and then compare their posts against every possible input on the forum, I do believe that it's nearly impossible unless someone wants to invest a lot of resources to simply try and ban x user, if i was to do such a thing, i would go for comparing posts within threads to each other, at least this how anyone with common sense would handle such a thing.

I do believe you are doing a great job here, your part is to report those plagiarized posts, then if the mods for some reason think that user shouldn't be banned due to his/her contribution or whatever reason, then that's their own business to handle.

I would try a different pool , if ( as you mentioned) that you tried a working psu, resetting and all the other normal procedures, then it's only one out of two possibilities, connection problem ( pool , router firewall not allowing the miner to connect to pool etc,) or simply the control board has gone bad.

well , if by directly you mean blindly then no, if you want each miner to consume the exact precise wattage then it's also a no, but lets say you want them to be in the range of 800-820 watts each.

you will only need to do it on 1 miner, say you set the Frequency to 500 and voltage to 8.0 , you are happy with the wattage, simply apply the same numbers to all other gears, however ! not every single board will work perfectly with other board's setting, the difference is not too huge but there will still be a small difference in terms of hashrate/HW and power consumption.

but overall by doing so and slightly adjusting the voltage and the frequency based on the average number you want , you will end up with more or less the same power consumption.

اخي عمر , برامج ال VPN رخيصة جدا وفعالة مثلا برنامج Nord Vpn التكلفة الشهرية اعتقد 3$ يعني مبلغ رمزي جدا , انا استعمله شخصيا وفيه كتير من المزايا اهمها ان شبه كل الدول موجودة فيه وكل دولة تجد فيها اكتر من سيرفر, استخدام ال VPN غير امن نسبيا , ولا يمكن ان تختار الدولة التي تريدها وكل مرة ستكون متصل بدولة وسيرفر مختلف وهدا قد يعرضك للمشاكل , انا في راي الشخصي ان مثل هده الاشياء لا يجب التهاون فيها ويجب ان تشتري رخصة لبرنامج فعال ومعروف خصوصا لو كان الموضوع فيه خطورة على اموالك , اما في حال استمعالها لا غراض اخرى مثل التصفح او الالعاب فلا مشكلة من استخدام البرامج المجانية رغم اني لا اتق بها.
