6061  Other / Meta / Re: Can we have the Forum Rules as a separate sticky in B&H please! on: June 16, 2019, 11:13:04 AM
Whether the rule "posting plagiarised content is not allowed" comes first or last makes no difference in my opinion, when you get into the forum and you get to see the rules, you ought to read it ardently and avidly down to the last one, you're not expected to merely glance through it. So the rule being the last really changes nothing, neither does it make a case for plagiarists, you can as well flash in in their faces and still it'll make no difference.
6062  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Newbies, don't make these mistakes even if your intention is positive on: June 16, 2019, 05:46:17 AM
I know these rules are already put in the rules section, however for many newbies to access various parts of the forum maybe quite difficult.
I do not think so, the rules have been sticked in the meta section, and anyone who really has come here for the right reasons would find it and read it.
You can find the complete set of rules here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=703657.0
Unnecessary thread IMHO, you imported 3 out of over a fifty rules, to end up posting the entire stuff(link to the rules)
Just the link alone would have been more than enough, though I doubt it would then qualify to be a new topic.
Hopefully, it will help newbies to avoid the preventable offenses which they might commit being unaware. Specially, plagiarism.
Everyone knows plagiarism is unacceptable, be it not on the forum, but even in our everyday life, be it schools, interviews etc
You cannot take someone's work and pose it as yours feeling you're not doing anything wrong.
6063  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [GUIDE] Making Quality Thread + Grammar Check on: June 15, 2019, 09:45:02 PM
Another point is when making a new thread, avoid using capital letters as the topic title, it makes the thread look like a spam thread, even if the content may prove otherwise.

Your thread is more like an outline to follow when making threads and it's a good topic really, outlines serves as blueprints and help to make threads tidy and in the proper order.
It can also help to present to others that the OP put in some effort and that can earn one merits.

6065  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you find Success in Gambling? on: June 15, 2019, 08:44:54 AM
In gambling success mostly depends upon the luck or based on which game you are playing.
This is the more reason why one has to checkmate the amount of money he or she puts into gambling, most individuals just blindly put in far more what they can really stand to lose all in the name of it could actually be their luck this time around.
People need to understand that gambling honestly depends on luck, even when you choose a game whose odd is crazily in its favor to win, there could obviously be twists on the way.

E.g.manchester city Vs West Ham for example, we all know Manchester City are favorites to win the game, but anything is possible, and if you out all you have into the game in favor of city, you could lose all at the end of the game.
That's gambling for you
6066  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: June 15, 2019, 07:26:35 AM
I have been watching sport news and i was found one interesting rumour that people speculate because the coach didn't too satisfied with his performance then Coutinho will leave Barcelona this season and he was linked to PSG which is Neymar still on that team and there was a possibility too Neymar want leave PSG and go to Barcelona again and the scenario is Coutinho will be a barter tool to realize it
To a large degree coutinho was a flop last season, he just didn't seem to click, his body language, facial gestures et al, just wasn't showing a player that's happy, or do we talk of the fact he was bereft of hunger and desire all season long.
Though considering the amount forked out for him and a percentage of the blame going to valverde, I think he'll be given one more season.

Neymar Is obviously staying with PSG next season.
6067  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: June 15, 2019, 07:17:39 AM
Chelsea would be the ideal scenario for him
Mourinho to Chelsea just cannot happen for the third time, no because he doesn't suit them, but for me it's cos his relationship with the Chelsea faithfuls has deteriorated over the past seasons.
Jibes have been thrown at him on his return to the bridge with united, also Jose being the controversial figure he is kept painting it to the Chelsea faithfuls that he's the most successful manager in their history, raising his three fingers up to indicate 3 premier league title with them(happened in the game at Old Trafford last season), this act didn't further help his course with the fans, rather it made things worse.

For all this reasons I doubt the fans would accept him, and the club would not want to cause a stir or uproar with the fans.

Mourinho to Newcastle as well wouldn't happen in our lifetime, way below his standards.
6068  Economy / Gambling / Re: ⚡Dealer BlackJack⚡ Lose to platforms?Why not lose to your firend! on: June 15, 2019, 07:08:33 AM
Whether you're losing to your friends or to a total stranger, it really doesn't change anything. You're still losing.
TBH, I'll rather lose to a total stranger than to my friend, he or she will keep sticking it to my race that I lost.
Though notwithstanding this looks like a nice concept and it offers more intimacy and fun when gambling, but just know that if things go sour it could cause more harm since you're in direct contact with who gambled your money off you.
6069  Other / Serious discussion / Liberty on: June 13, 2019, 08:42:03 AM
Liberty in simple terms means freedom,it can be freedom from oppression, government control, slavery etc.
For the purpose of this post I'll be talking about freedom from government control which I think is needed in our society today.
British philosopher, poet, utilitarian, social critic, political economist JOHN STAURT MILLS shares this view also in his epic essay on Liberty, the essay postulates that individuality be supreme and citizens be allowed freedom so long as their actions do not harm others.
Liberty(individuality)would only lead individuals to take up actions that will be beneficial to their lives and society in the long run.

Our government today tends to have control over everything, stiffling individuality in the process which affects individual liberty.
Ralph Waldo Emerson said any individual who allows the state to determine the course of his action is in no need of a faculty other than the ape like one of imitation.

Basically Individual freedom should be encouraged today as long as our actions do not harm others, and if it does then such individual should be accountable to the government.
Just as j.s mill puts it "The worth of a state in the long run is the worth of the individuals composing it and a state which dwarfs it's men that they may be more docile instruments in its hands for benefitial purposes will find out that with small men no great thing can be accomplished"
6070  Other / Meta / Re: A simple suggestion (comments of the OP on their thread should appear above) on: June 12, 2019, 11:16:24 AM
If I got you correctly you're requesting the OP's reply on his or her topic be pinned to the top, right below the original post?

If that's it then I do not feel it's something we really have to do, when you consider that most thread starters do not even actually return back to their threads, while some do not even engage in the conversation that ensued/ensues afterwards.

Another reason why I do not feel it's a pressing need,is that despite the fact that one is an OP it doesn't necessarily mean he or she provides the most sensible reply, so just start a topic and let the conversation take its course.
6071  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do atheists find a decentralized system natural or favor it more than theists? on: June 12, 2019, 06:14:20 AM
You may actually have a point here, but there is a huge difference between a supreme creator, that which theist believe in, and a ruler, most probably a government head(president etc)

Theist see their creator as pure infallible, supernatural and supreme, thus they follow his doctrines as a method of achieving the paradise he creates or created, but I do not think it's applicable to society as our rulers aren't any of that.
As a matter of fact they are the exact opposite, corrupt, suckling fingers, nepotic, they impoverish their citizens and enrich themselves.
So theist, just like atheist can likewise seek for a decentralized system to get away from all this menace of the government, which happens to be the head/ruler.
6072  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Feature request on: June 12, 2019, 06:02:43 AM
Theymos has made it clear that newbie jail ain't ever coming back, the forum wants to provide conducive environment for it's newcomers, which rightly should be so, restricting them from commenting would also stiffle the rights of those who are here for the right reasons as they would be unable to have their own impact on the forum, which could serve as discouragements, making the forum lose potential good contributors.

The mods would thrash spam posts and most probably nuke accounts renowned for creating spam posts, but to generally blank out newbies is unfair and would not happen, and to think that they only aren't the only ones guilty of spam in here.
6073  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 5 things you need to check before buying crypto on: June 11, 2019, 10:55:12 AM
Rather than go through all this, yet still get scammed, it's wise and best to simply invest in the BTC and very few well know alternatives.

Reading whitepapers don't help to spot a scam project, the best way to do that is to avoid them altogether(by investing in BTC).
6074  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Support for the movement against mutilation of a baby girl on: June 11, 2019, 06:26:17 AM
Genital mutilation(circumcision)amongst girl children is more rampant in Africa, Middle East and also in Asia, this barbaric practice which doesn't portend any advantage for the child at all must be stopped at all costs.
It is overtly of no benefit and can cause severe pains and even long time damages to the child, problems such as urinary issues, child birth issues, infections, permanent damage to the private part etc.

Currently the WHO and other health bodies are creating immense awareness and symposiums to stop this hideous practice.
We also should unite in our own little way to curb this menace by educating people around us in a bid to end Child mutilation.

6076  Other / Meta / Re: sMerits are limited? on: June 10, 2019, 06:28:18 PM
When users get Banned.
When users are not active.
This wouldn't lead to a scarcity of merits(Smerits), even though ordinary members(who aren't M.sources) get banned, go inactive or even decide to keep a firm grip of their Smerits, there are more than enough merit sources with more than enough Smerits to keep the merit system alive and "running"
And to think that merit sources are updated, to a certain degree frequently, if probably one or a few of them go totally inactive or gets banned, they would be replaced.

So actually good posters have nothing to worry about in terms of who's gonna hand out merits to them, the forum has taking good care of that, it's down to you(us) to do our own part(through good, quality posts).
6077  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: All you need to know about Initial Exchange Offering (IEO) could be the new ICO on: June 10, 2019, 05:28:12 PM
I wouldn't trust any of them, to me it's just obviously change of names, in one way or the other their modus operandi is basically the same, getting a profitable one would amount to searching for a needle in a haystack.

It would either end up being worthless or a scam, the BTC and a few alts actually look like the only viable investment option.
Wise investors would stick with'em.
6078  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do ICO scams drive investors to Bitcoin? on: June 10, 2019, 01:08:43 PM
It has been made obvious and so glaring that ICO projects are either scam or worth little or nothing on the market, investors have gone back and forth this routine hoping to get a good one, but that seems a far cry today.

I think ICO investments have dropped drastically as it should really, who puts his or her money into what guarantees little or nothing.
ICO is more or less a game of luck, I think most investors are tired of playing the risky game.
6079  Other / Meta / Re: Amnesty 2019 bitcointalk.org on: June 10, 2019, 12:46:43 PM
You can see a lot of respected people who have been promoting scam projects and now they are respected people, and those who copied several posts are now criminals.
Offences here on the forum attracts different penalties/punishments.
Promotion of scam projects as you claim attracts a red tag from DT members and that's the stipulated punishment for such offense, even though to some degree, scam is unmoderated by the forum.

While plagiarism attracts a permanent ban, that's the rules.
It's clear!
6080  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin Coin on: June 10, 2019, 12:26:54 PM
Bitcoin coin? That's more like fiat and not digital just like the bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are.
There also cannot be a single currency that would be used world wide, nations differ and all have their distinct currencies, I do not forsee a time when the world would all use one currency, it's impossible.

And bitcoin as a digital currency hasn't and wouldn't fail, so I do not see the need for the suggestion, one that is practically not even feasible
