It was really great Supercup final to watch - quality football and some drama is something what we wanted. Before game I understimated Chelsea too much, but I was wrong. Tonight they played very well. It was equal match more or less and nothing strange that penalties were needed to decide who will win. Congrats to Liverpool supporters with first trophy this season.
6062  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: August 14, 2019, 03:30:49 PM
And Celtic, a well-known club in Europe with a lot of history in the football world, just got KO'd by Cluj, a low-tier club from Romania...CFR Cluj...This is beyond embarrassing for Celtic  Lips sealed

IMO, level of Scottish football is shit and it's not much better than Romanian, so it's probably not that huge sensation that they got kicked out. The main problem for Celtic that they just don't have many serious oppopents in SPFL, same like PSG in France, and it affect their results in UEFA cups.

@buwaytress, I don't believe that current Chelsea can beat Liverpool. Well, Istanbul is historic city for Liverpool, remember that epic final in 2005 against Milan.
6063  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: August 13, 2019, 08:55:53 PM
Wow, what crazy gameday with so many goals scored
Dynamo Kyiv 3:3 Brugge. 2 red cards and 2 goals scored on injury time. Brugge goes further.
Porto 2:3 Krasnodar. Probably biggest sensation tonight. 2 early goals of Krasnodar send Porto to knockout.
Ajax 2:3 PAOK. Just a great match. Ajax dominated, but it was very tough game for them.
LASK 3:1 Basel. Another sensational win of LASK which eliminated Basel.
Copenhagen 1:1 Crvena Zvezda and after penalty shootout Zvezda goes to the playoff stage. Probably it was longest penalty shootout I ever saw.
Celtic 3:4 Cluj. Another crazy game. Celtic had posession and more shots but level of their game isn't enough to beat Cluj. Cluj deserved to go further.
Wow, and main competition didn't even started yet.
6064  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the best wallet for crypto noobies? on: August 13, 2019, 08:18:14 PM
Age is the main factor here. Probably almost all exchanges where you can buy Bitcoin using bank transfer or credit card requires to be at least 18 years old and you're required to pass KYC. So, you have very limited options. To buy Bitcoin you can try to use Bitcoin ATM, if there is such thing in your area. Unfortunately, their rates are bad and they charge huge fees.
You also can try to buy Bitcoins on crypto forums like this one or your local crypto communities on social networks. Beware of scammers.
But if you want to trade your crypto, I can't which exchange won't ask you KYC and would be best for you.
Speaking about wallet, Electrum desktop wallet is a good option. If you're going to store lot of BTC, then you should get hardware wallet like Ledger or Trezor. Don't leave your crypto on web wallets and exchanges.
6065  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: pay on the web with bitcoin on: August 13, 2019, 07:40:46 PM
Bitpay probably is most widely used by merchants. But there is also some great alternatives for it. You also can take a look at at Coingate or Coinpayments - it's good services too.
6066  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: August 13, 2019, 04:03:16 PM
Tonight we will see second leg games of third qualifying round. And none of teams can be confident yet about reaching next round. Today I bet on Porto, Olympiakos and Rosenborg wins. And I made one risky bet - Dinamo Zagreb win against Ferencvaros @2.12. They are just better team. I also have no doubts that Ajax will reach next round.
6067  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.002 BTC LOAN on: August 12, 2019, 08:39:01 PM
This is very small loan that you're requesting, but it doesn't change anything - if you want to get loan, you should provide valid collateral. Nobody will give even 0.002 BTC to randomguy online without any reputation here.
6068  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Does anyone else get crazy high anxiety when they transfer btc between wallets? on: August 12, 2019, 08:15:02 PM
I have similar feelings, especially when transfering large amounts of BTC. I always check everything 3-4 times before I send BTC to be sure that address and amount is correct. But after that I still have fear that some symbols in recipient address might be changed by some kind of malware. Usually I relax only when I see that transaction start to get confirmations. Maybe my paranoia should be gone after all these years in crypto world, but I think it's better safe than sorry. Especially when crypto world is full of malware, or there is more than enough stories when people lost lot of BTC just because they sent it to wrong address. Actually I also check everything multiple times when I make bank transfers.
6069  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: BitcoinTalk's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: August 12, 2019, 07:39:32 PM

Frank Lampard has always been the bookies favourite for the first manager to be sacked and it wouldn't surprise me if he was. I know it's only the first game and against United but that job is too big for him and far too soon. He should have stuck it out with Derby for another season or so and try to get them promoted. Then try move up. I really wasn't expecting Man U to turn them over like that so went with a draw.  Still finished in first place but only by 0.5 point lead  Cheesy.
This season will be very tough season for Lampard. It's not worth to judge him after just one game, especially when he didn't had some important players ready to play. Chelsea lost their key player Hazard and due to transfer ban they weren't able to improve squad. Abramovich don't have much patience with managers, so I wouldn't be surprised if Lampard won't end season at Stamford Bridge. And if he will fail in Chelsea, I'm afraid it can't even ruin his career.
6070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: August 12, 2019, 04:00:41 PM
Nigerians currently ranked 33 in the world and there are 32 teams in the world cup, it is very likely that most of the other teams are ranked above them making us underdogs and relieving us from some pressure.
It's good to compete, but I'm hopeful that we not just play but impress and show a good account of the nation and continent.
Nigeria is probably most powerful team from Africa and this year they will have all their best players like Al-Farouq Aminu, Shane Lawal, Ike Diogu and others. Nigeria are in difficult group with Argentina and Russia, but I think it's possible for them to reach next round.

It seems that Serbia lost Teodosic,  their main player, for this world cup.
They felt that they even have chance to beat american national Team but now their chances are no so big.

Did he get injured in a friendly match? I thought that Serbia would win the title but without Teodosic this is going to be difficult.
I see that Greece and Giannis play good basketball. Seems like he is going to be the MVP of worldcup as he did in NBA.
Even without Teodosic, their roster is still very powerful with NBA stars Jokic, Bogdanovic, great players from Euroleague. Though Jokic is obviously isn't in best condition now - he has way too much weight.
Naida_BR, he got injury during friendly match against Lithuania, but actually it's old feet injury which forced him to miss half NBA season.

Even with the depleted line-up sure the USA will still win the FIBA championship. But the one I see has the great chance to give the best fight are the teams of Argentina, Greece, Spain and the host China. I think without those NBA superstars playing for USA they are still the favorite team to win it all.
Yeah, they are still favorites, but it's probably weakest US national team in last 10-15 years. They aren't unbeatable. Even bokmakers changed odds for US win from 1.1 to 1.4.
6071  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Motosport General discussion tread --- Formula1, MotoGP, WTCC, ETCC, DTM..... on: August 12, 2019, 03:33:36 PM
Well, it had to happen sooner or later. Personally, I expected that Red Bull will give second chance for Kvyat, but they selected Albon. He is very talented driver, but it's just first season and I doubt that he will perform significantly better than Gasly.
BTW, Red Bull boss Helmut Marko said this just few weeks ago:
Quote
This year we won't change, we will end the season as we currently are.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Thank you for the information, but is it just a rumor, or it has been officially confirmed by Aston Martin Red Bull Racing? Do you have a link for this news?
The belgian Grand Prix is scheduled for the first of september afaik so it's maybe just some fake rumors to destabilize the opponents.
It's official:

6072  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Signature campaign has changed on: August 11, 2019, 09:20:27 PM
In this times like this its not "refer me a good campaign" but its more on "am i qualified for the campaign?".

Most of the campaign requirements now is not the same as before. In order to be included on a campaign, you should consider the following.

1. Your rank. Most of the time, campaign managers requires junior member and above so if you are a newbie, you will get a hard time joining.

2. Negative trusts. We all know this part so i skip the explaination

3. Merit count. I have noticed that campaigns now requires a particular merit count per rank. Some also promote merit by rewarding them per merit count they gain within the payment period.

4. Post status. Its where they look for the threads you've posted and if its pure bitcoin discussion then you probably dont have a good status and a 50/50 chance to be included.

Goodluck joining Smiley
Can you tell us, what's the point of this thread? You didn't said anything new... Most of these requirements are definitely not new, so I'm not sure why you're saying that signature campaign has changed.
1. It's obvious that Newbies aren't accepted because they simply can't wear signatures. Most campaigns don't accept Jr. Members too because they can't have clickable links in their signatures. Most campaigns prefer higher ranked members because they can wear bigger signatures with more visual effects.
2. Most of signature campaigns never accepted users with negative trust rating from DT members.
3. Some campaigns requires participants to have particular number of merit earned to attract best posters. But I've see users with huge number of merits earned weren't accepted to campaign, so it's not main thing.
4. If you're just shitposting on spammy boards, it's obvious that you won't be accepted. Also, campaigns requires post in specific boards to reach their target audience. For example if you advertise gambling service, obviously advertiser will want some posts in gambling boards. Also, they won't pay for posts in boards that they're not targeting, like off-topic, politics and society and etc.
6073  Economy / Exchanges / Re: BitcoinTalk New Exchange Announcements sub-forum proposal on: August 11, 2019, 08:50:00 PM
No, I don't such sub forum is needed. There is simply not enough demand for it. New exchange opens - it's something what don't happens every day and dedicated sub forum for it isn't much needed. But I partially agree with your point, it can be difficult to find new exchange. From what I see, various exchange ANN threads are posted in multiple places of this forum - in Altcoin board Service Discussion or Service Announcements, Bitcoin board Service Announcements and Discussion, thissub forum Exchanges. But it's not that difficult to browse these boards to find newly announced exchanges.

6075  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2016/17 on: August 11, 2019, 08:29:33 PM
It would be very surprising to see Neymar move to Real Madrid. His interest to move to Barcelona and play there again is clear imo. I doubt Real will buy a player which has a loyalty to his rival. Hazard is already on Madrid and that's enough for them I guess, no need to bring Neymar.

Problem is that Barca wants Neymar but only if they can get him for little or no money involved. They are offering PSG few players in exchange for Neymar and that is it. PSG is of course less then happy since they paid over 200M for him and want most of that money back which Barca can't and doesn't want to offer.
Yeah, Barca won't spend any € on Neymar. They only can offer few players, what makes this transfer unlikely to happen, because PSG aren't interested in it. Now Madrid press are talking a lot about Neymar transfer to Real Madrid, clubs already started active negotiations - seems that I was wrong by saying that Real won't try to buy him this summer.
6076  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: BitcoinTalk's 2019 Champions League Pool Sign Up Thread on: August 11, 2019, 08:10:04 PM
21 players is not bad, if I'm not mistaken last season we had 20 players only. There is more than month left, so I hope that some more people will sign up. It would be nice to get at least 25 players.
6077  Other / Meta / Re: History Of Bitcoin & Bitcointalk Infographic [Long Gif Inside] on: August 11, 2019, 03:19:29 PM
Wow, you put lot of efforts into this infographic. Some facts that you've listed are new for me and I haven't seen it before. Some others already been forgotten, so it's good to remember and read about it again. Maybe few things listed in your infograhpic are not very important in my opinions, but in general, it's great.
P.S. I've never saw Jr. Member with so many merits like you Cheesy.

I am not a big fan of the new animation, are there any plans to change it back to the old one?

I agree with you. Seeing your win while the numbers keep rolling is an unpleasant feeling, if you ask me. I know the results are predetermined by client seed, server seed and nonce, and that we can check the fairness of every free roll, and yet I would prefer seeing the animation that was there before the current one. It's more entertaining, and gambling is for fun after all. Smiley
If you don't like these new animations, you simply can disable it. Just go to "Multiply BTC" page and you'll see option to disable animations.
6079  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: 🔴 [Brave Browser User - Be Careful] Brave Browser Imposter [Warning!] 🔴 on: August 10, 2019, 11:17:16 PM
Email address of sender is first and probably main red flag in such cases. Big companies aren't using email services like Yahoo, Gmail and others to send their newsletters and other stuff. This time scammers made big mistake, strange why they didn't used their own domain brave-bounty.com to send these emails, it would make it to look more legit. But remaining things - they did it very professional and probably lot of people might fall into this.
6080  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can Anyone Tell me Difference between Cryptocurrency and Blockchain? on: August 10, 2019, 11:03:07 PM
I'm not sure why people (not only newbies) confuse these these two totally different things. It's something like to ask difference between money and bank. It's nothing strange that newbies migh be confused a little bit, but often experienced people do same mistake. When some big company starts to use blockchain technology, quite often I see people calling it as crypto adoption Smiley.
