6061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is happening to new projects? on: September 12, 2019, 09:23:36 PM
What the *eck is going on? we have many good projects coming into crypto space but they mostly end up failing, too many good new projects are dying as if they are been created to just die, what do you think its killing new good projects apart from scam projects?

It's because altcoin market are still in the bear market. So with that said, no investors are really interested right now and would rather put their money to Bitcoin. And there's the problem of scammy projects everywhere and that stigma can't simply just remove. And it affected even the very best project out there. Business model shifts as well, from ICO to IEO which is more safe and profitable because it is being run by trusted exchange. So it's getting very difficult to any project today to even reach soft cap and the project just die down.
6062  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 12, 2019, 08:53:23 PM
I think reaching the finals in the US open, push Medvedev to the 4th position already and should be switching places with Thiem, ranked 5th now.

@Royse777 - him winning Cincinnati open put his name in our radar. Also he won the Sophia Open early February this year so definitely he has the potential to be the next future number one here.

Yes I think they switch places and depending on how well Medvedev does in the tournaments coming up as we could see him finish in the top 3 at the end of the year. Medvedev is just under 2,000 points behind Federer so I'm not sure if he can achieve a top 3 finish but with the form he is in I wouldn't count him out on winning a few tournaments coming up. I think if Federer wins one of them or makes the final then he would shut Medvedev out of a top 3 finish. I think its going to be a great battle to see who finishes in the top 5 with Thiem holding it down right now but Zverev is closing in on him and lets not count out Tsitsipas who is just 1,100 points from the 5th ranking.

It's possible that Medvedev can still land inside the top 3 at the end of the tournament depending on his performance in the next tournament and of course we will have to see how Federer will perform as well.

His Cincinnati win lands him in the top 5, and then his runner-up in US Open push him in top 4. And there are still a lot of tennis tournaments in the this calendar year. Hope he remains healthy though, as this is one factor that can affect his performance and slow him down.
6063  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coinsbit on: September 11, 2019, 09:03:56 PM
Is the site good? Safe, any complaints?

https://coinsbit.io/

Your question for me is like a trap to anyone here, what if that platform is a phishing site?
It is better and recommendable if that is exchange platform always check the coinmarketcap dude.
So, I'm not interested to check that site anyway, I'm just being careful only.

If you have doubts then don't click on the link simply as that.

And if you are to based on what other posters have said, it looks like something is very fishy and they could pull a exit scam here, so avoid at all cost.

@slaman29 pointed out that their reddit is dead for years now, another red flag.
6064  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Before Tether's ToS revision in February, the business model relied on exit scam on: September 11, 2019, 08:21:26 PM
It has been suspected that Tether has been running on fractional reserves for years. And when all this brouhaha happened, they immediately admit to it. Not to exit scam though, but they have been misleading us for years but with this case, everything will be scrutinized and show how flawed their business model was.
6065  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I want to know your opinion :) on: September 11, 2019, 08:02:36 PM
There is already an ongoing discussion about the exchange: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5183180.0

Personally, I see absolutely no reason to use it, especially that there are older and more reputable platforms out there.
But what about young projects on the market? After all, they also have the right to life? competition will always be high

At this point? Traders prefer reputable exchanges over new minted exchanges. Young projects on the market are good, however, with the history of scam exits, KYC first before withdrawal, changing TOS on the fly, no volume, or faking it to look like the exchanges has a lot of liquidity, much better to stick with big exchanges today than take the risk that you might regret later, IMHO.
6066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: When Bitcoin pumps in 2020 after halving, what effect will it have alt coins? on: September 11, 2019, 07:37:38 PM
When BTC Bitcoin pumps in 2020 after halving, what effect will it have alt coins?  Huh Huh

It will take weeks or months or years before we can Bitcoin price goes off the chart, assuming this is your definition of a pump. In short we really don't know if its going to in 2020 or 2021. If you are one of those who believed that there is a correlation about Bitcoin price increasing and will spill its effect on altcoin then you have to think again. Currently, we have seen the price of Bitcoin move up from $3,000-$10,000 but alts didn't follow that pattern. I guess majority still have the mindset of 2017, its very different now and it may prove it that way after the block halvening in 2020 and the anticipated pump following that event.
6067  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling just for fun? on: September 11, 2019, 07:17:10 PM
There are some people gamble and lose. if you ask them why do you gamble? They will answer you "just for fun"
They know they are loser in long term and no strategy works, but continue to gamble for fun.
How can enjoy something that you know you will lose? Is losing money really enjoyable? Isn't there any other entertainment you can enjoy?
I think these people are still hopeful of winning back previous losses or they are addicted. Gambling cannot be just for fun. There are many free games too.

The fun begin with you started to win money. Or perhaps those saying that they gamble for fun is playing money that they can afford to lose. They can sleep at night without the worry of the money they have lost in a casino. Of course there are other means to entertain someone, but gambling is very different though. It gives you some sort of rush or pump.

Question though: Do you gamble or trade?
6068  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mass adoption growing or decreasing? on: September 11, 2019, 07:00:29 PM
Following 10 years of presence, the subject of whether the mass reception of digital currency has been begun is still bantered in the space. I would like to ask specialists in the crypto and blockchain businesses is there or have there be any huge crypto mass adoption compare to 10years ago?

Bitcoin? Obviously it has grown tremendously in the last 10 years or so.

Blockchain? Yes, many companies are adopting it as well, public/private.
You can read here: (https://hackernoon.com/blockchain-adoption-could-be-closer-than-we-think-e68bebaebca4)

Altcoins? I'm not sure about that, perhaps the top 10 coins are being adopted as well but in a slow phase.

You also need to include regulations as well, this is a big factor if we wanted to see crypto as a whole being adopted globally.
6069  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: qBot.io - Instant exchanges with artificial intelligence, return with profit on: September 11, 2019, 06:42:13 PM
No business will give out 40% within a 7 day period and with this alone does signify a ponzi scam and on that given
thread its already clear up that this is a scam and who the heck will have a partnership specially with banks to a website like this?
Scam attempts is getting dumber as a the years passed.  Grin

Exactly, we have been calling it a scam since day one because obviously "if it's too good to be true then it probably is". Good thing that it has been caught in the beginning and we have flag it out. I don't think though that scammers are re-investing the wheel, they just pull the same scam over and over again and hope that someone will fall for their trick. I do hope that no one is this community specially noobs investors has the audacity to put their money on this so scam.
6070  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 11, 2019, 06:14:40 PM
Medvedev is surely one of the young talent to watch for in the future as he took it right up to Nadal unlike what we have seen in the past when the young talent face one of the top 3 in Grand Slam finals as they normally lose in straight sets without much of a challenge. Nadal will most likely catch Federer and may over take him next year if he is able to stay fit but then I think it will be Djokovic to over take both of them in years to come if he is able to stay at peak fitness. I think we only have another few more years with these top 3 playing and then its up to the young talent coming through which is looking good right now. Congrats to Nadal on winning his 19th Grand Slam title.
It's one of the good Finals I watched in Tennis, my bet is Medvedev and I never loss my trust in him although he was down 2 sets at the start, I like the courage of Medvedev because he was able to come back and even tied the game, but the experience of Nadal gives him that edge in the last set.

Exactly, Medvedev has gained a lot of tennis fans with that performance against Nadal. He was down 2 sets in the beginning and have that mental toughness to get back in the match winning 2 successive games. If he faces someone in the finals not name Federer, Djokovic or Nadal I'm sure he is the champion today.

Congratulations to him, he was so humble during his interview and I like how he appreciates the effort of Medvedev and I believe it will inspire Medvedev  to be better since this guy is still 23 years and more better future to come for him. His length and his height is going to be an advantage if he will mature over time.

Definitely this is just the beginning for Medvedev and facing a champion like Nadal in the finals has given him a ton of experience that can help him win the next time around specially if he goes to the final again. Maturity will come for sure and as long as he continue to improved next tournament he could be the next grand slam winner.

Yes Medvedev does look like the one out of all the up and comers to win a Grand Slam title very soon, maybe next year we will see this. We have seen in the past the up and comers make Grand Slam finals, Dominic Thiem has made the past two French Open finals but hasn't been good enough to win or even challenge to win the title like we saw with Medvedev, he gave Nadal a challenge and almost pulled it off so that is why I rank Medvedev ahead of all the up and comers coming through right now.

6071  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: We are only rich on spreadsheets on: September 10, 2019, 10:29:16 PM
Yes, that's what bounties these days make us. They show us big big rewards on their spreadsheets but the real values of those rewards they offer us are sometimes not even up to $5 on the market. I feel bounty hunters are only being used as baits by project owners to catch their investors virtually for free. What do you think guys ?

Nice way to put it, yeah if you check the spreadsheets and then count your stakes x the supposedly ICO price then you can be rich here. However, it is also good in paper and it makes you feel good to continue and promote that project specially hearing a lot of positive feedbacks. But everything changes when you got your tokens, then it is listed on a exchange. Then suddenly the dumps start that when you check your MEW the value has gone too bad that you are just disappointed that you are either late in liquidating it or you still believed that the project is really good and try to hold into it.
6072  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Otto Wallins on: September 10, 2019, 09:57:20 PM
Below are the Undercard for this event this Saturday September 14 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas .

Emanuel Navarrete (28-1-0) vs Juan Miguel Elorde (28-1-0) - WBO World Super Bantamweight
Jose Pedraza (26-2-0) vs Jose Zepeda (30-2-0)
Isaac Lowe (18-0-3) vs Ruben Garcia Hernandez (25-4-2)
Felix Valera (18-2-0) vs Vyascheslav Shabranskyy (20-2-0)
Carlos Cuadras (38-3-1) vs Jose Maria Cardenas (17-4-0)
Gabriel Flores (14-0-0) Jr vs Miguel Angel Perez Aispuro (12-8-2)
Isidro Ochoa (7-0-0) vs Iskander Kharsan (6-0-0)
Guido Vianello (4-0-0) vs Cassius Anderson (7-1-0)
Abram Martinez (7-0-0) vs Kevin Jerel Johnson (7-1-0)

*stats of each boxer courtesy of boxrec.com

What, what a completely trash undercard. The only one I've ever heard of on that list is Jose Pedraza...

I definitely won't be tuning in to watch this, Fury will obviously smash Wallins and the rest are absolute nobodies.

BORING.

LOL, What do you expect from Top Rank? This has been their practice ever since, they will just have the best fighter like in the case of Pacquiao but they put up shitty undercard. Maybe don't have have a stable of good fighters. Or its just the way they wanted to milk their cash cow.

Just imagine Loma and Crawford in the same card,  Grin

Anyways, everyone is on Fury here so we might as well just wait for the for Fury vs Wilder.

6075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Alt coins bleeding on: September 10, 2019, 09:01:38 PM
So Everybody talking about Altcoins bleeding and btc dominance....can the top altcoins can just disapere?  In my opinion its a best time to but altcoins coz Panic sellers are selling?

There goes a saying, "buy when there's blood in the streets". It means you should be on a buying frenzy when the price of altcoin is very cheap. Why? because once the market recovers you can really make a big profit out of it.

But can Some coins just disapere?  Or Go to Zero?
I Think If market is Red its a Good time to buy!

Majority of the altcoins today are down 90% or more. So in a sense they've almost made in to the grave. But then again, this market is very unstable and you can't really say that they are going to disappear unless the price went literally to zero.

I Don't undestood that Panic about altcoins!

There is no panic, 2018 was the panic year, today there is no demand no there are no buyers. But smart investors knows that this is the best chance to stash more altcoins, and we are still in the period of accumulation (even with Bitcoin).
6076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do or Die for ETH on: September 10, 2019, 08:40:13 PM
People are bashing Ethereum all day long. You must know that a lot of people are still trusting Ethereum just like me. Why would people still make their coin based of Ethereum. This means that they are believing in it.

I guess everyone is bashing Ethereum because of the dramatic decline of the price and the people behind it. But Vitalik step up and says that they are going to up the ante and release Ethereum 2.0 in early 2020. Of course there are projects which developed and using ERC20 but perhaps in due time developers are going to move on the next technology and I could say that this could really hurt Ethereum in the long run. But I wouldn't say that its a do or die scenario for Ethereum, it's just this is how crypto works, if you don't evolved you die, but Ethereum devs are still very active and I think Vitalik is still on top of the situation here.
6077  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Different between Binance and Binance Dex. on: September 10, 2019, 08:20:40 PM
the "binance dex" one is supposed to be decentralized and it is advertised as such but i honestly don't see any decentralization in it. it is still the same centralized exchange which is not even giving service to a bunch of different countries.
in my opinion the main and only difference is that they created the so called "DEX" exchange so that they could market their own centralized coin called BNB and pump it more which is exactly what they did.

Exactly, CZ is really ahead of the game and he knows how to play everyone in the ecosystem. They just masked around the buzzword of "DEX" because that's what people wanted to see from them. But from behind you will know that there is no decentralization and would be using their own BNB that could be used for pure manipulation, that includes themselves or some bad actors in cryptoverse. I don't know if we could admire CZ for doing this or if we can call him a genius for putting this up.

6079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Big prize for 1 participant in a signature campaign? on: September 09, 2019, 11:58:01 PM
for example: prize allocation for a campaign (signature) is around 2,000,000 tokens and if the project only has 1 participant in the campaign (signature) and when the project has been completed or not scammed, is it true that the participant will get the sum of all tokens (signatures)?
or maybe not at all,  for other reasons?

If they are going their own campaign rule then it's possible that the one signature campaign participant can get all the stakes. However, when the project or at least the bounty manager see that I'm pretty sure that one participant won't enjoy all the stakes. He could be given more tokens but not the whole allocated token as it doesn't make sense for the project to do that. They hire signature campaigns to post in this community to have maximum exposure, but if only one is doing it, then they're getting the short end of the stick.

What are your thoughts on this topic? Do you think it's going to be a better way to track where money is moving?

https://cointelegraph.com/news/crypto-cash-and-drugs-crypto-use-grows-as-drug-trade-digitalizes

That's what Ciphertrace is all about, "trying" to track everything specially Bitcoin addresses. But can they actually do it and uncover the criminal behind those addresses? Could be if criminals don't know how to hide their track. But the problem is that criminals are also above intelligence from the usual crypto enthusiast. It's dark markets, what do you expect criminals are going to used? Fiat? This is just part and parcel of crypto. IMHO.
