6081  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 5 Reasons Why I Prefer a Bitcoin Mobile Wallet on: June 11, 2020, 12:24:55 PM
1. They are costly if you are paid in Bitcoin as a bounty hunter or for a gig.
Hardware wallets are for long term holders of not just Bitcoin but other cryptos for me so if you are just a bounty hunter, buying a hardware wallet isn't necessary anymore.

2. They are a liability as if, you lose it you will lose your investment.
The chances of being scammed or hacked if you are using a mobile wallet is higher compare to a hardware wallet. As you use your mobile, there is still a possibility that you can download some malware or viruses that may get your information. That being said, using hardware wallet reduces the risk of getting scammed or hacked.

3. They are not easy to operate and most exchanges do not support them.
I will assume that you are a bounty hunter here or a trader as you are thinking about exchanges. Like I said, for me hardware wallet is for those long term holders. Having a mobile wallet would be better if you want to sell your coins. Just my opinion though. I think they are easy to operate though isn't it? They are user friendly I think.

5. They can still be hacked if you are using them online for trading or other stuff.
This is possible but the chances are low if you aren't using it that much. I think that hardware wallets are very hard to hacked as what I'm hearing with the experts here.
6082  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A day to celebrate and pay tribute to casinos? on: June 10, 2020, 02:58:22 PM
I think there should be a day to celebrate and pay thanks to casinos who give us so much benefits and in return they handle so much criticism and society's curses, peoples cursed etc. But all they do is provide us thrill, entertainment, sometimes profit too. And they make money like any other business should. But we become angry on them as if they forced us to play. Nothing feels worse to me than to see an honest business getting cursed. Hope we can give them some empathy when they care much about us!

Non-sense idea.

These casinos were established to give satisfaction to their users about their gambling activity. It's a must thing to do and they are obliged to do it in order to attract many customers. They are getting revenue from their customers. That's the foundation of any casino so they will last for long.

They are the ones who should give at least a little compensation for their regular and loyal users and not their users who will pay tribute to these casinos.
Three words but the meaning is straight to the point.

There is no need to pay tribute to the casinos who are giving entertainment and stress to those addicted gamblers. I would rather give tribute for those frontliners who are working hard in the midst of the pandemic and some of them are died unfortunately and they should be the one who must pay tribute and not these casino and casino owners. Yes they give a huge tax for the government but paying tax is their responsibility as they have the business.

Criticisms are just normal for them especially if many lose their money into gambling.
6083  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: "NEW NORMAL" Betting on: June 10, 2020, 02:36:34 PM
A normal vaccine or cure for a new strain of virus normally takes 1 year.

Gambling sites owners both Physical and Online can't wait for this time frame. They will suffer a big loss if they will just wait for this vaccine to have. Not only these owners will suffer losses but also those players of different sports that is why some sports are resuming their events.

The recovery rate right now is at 49.35% while the mortality rate is at 5.16%. A healthy body can make you not affected by this virus. If you are aware of your surroundings and always have some things that will prevent you from getting the virus then you are good to go. It is not that fatal compare to ebola or other viruses. Its just that people aren't that cautious with what they are doing even there is a pandemic.
6084  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: CoCa Cola now Accept bitcoin on Australia and New Zealand. on: June 10, 2020, 02:00:17 PM
A massive advertisement for the crypto world this would be. The only problem that I see is that, will the Bitcoin holders want to use Bitcoin to buy their products??

Yes Bitcoin has made for spending since it is considered a currency but would you want to spend your Bitcoins into a product where your transaction fee when you buy it is higher than the actual price of the product that you will buy?? Would you like to pay 1.603NZ$ for a 12 OZ coke that costs 3.31NZ$. That is almost half the price of the product itself.

I'm not against this move by the company but aside from BTC, they should consider other altcoins too as an alternative Smiley.

Even though there are so many scam projects and scam bounty campaigns out there, there will be some who will turn out to be a successful one and will pay you tokens. Now the only question is what will you do to your token?? Will you hold it or sell it? If you will sell it, can you sell it at a high price? What if the token you got will not have a value at all even they've paid you?

These are just some of the questions a bounty campaign must ask themselves before expecting too much in their campaigns that they joined. Yes there are scam and that makes the bounty hunters getting lazy on bounty campaigns. For me, I don't even considering joining in bounty campaigns at all right now. I have no reason to come back again and spend my precious time and effort advertising a scam project (not all but mostly base on my experience.
6086  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Las Vegas Casinos are open - end of the Pandemic era. on: June 10, 2020, 12:57:23 AM
I see some reasons into why they choose to re-open the casinos in Las Vegas.

1. Economy - We know that the economy of the world went down because of the pandemic. USA is one of the richest countries worldwide and they are heavily affected by this pandemic. They see that their economy is down that is why they choose to open some establishments including casinos but with a strict protocols that are imposed.

2. Possible Cure - In the past months, we saw some scientists making a cure or a vaccine against the COVID19. Gilead Sciences have created a "possible" cure that is Remdesivir and probably the tests of that vaccine gave good results for the patients there that is why they are confident to open some establishments including casinos.

3. They don't want to be beaten by China - We know already the rivalry between these 2 and China right now has a low case rate of COVID19 already while USA.. its the epicenter right now. If they will remain the establishments closed for a longer time, their economy will be going down further thus they decided to open establishments to have a slow recovery of their economy.
6087  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did Covid-19 affect crypto gambling? on: June 10, 2020, 12:44:32 AM
It is reported that during the COVID-19, the flow of blockchain gaming platforms increased significantly. As more and more people isolate themselves due to the COVID-19, game platforms around the world have experienced peak traffic. The intuitive factor for the growth of blockchain game traffic this time is the epidemic, but the real reason behind it is the demand for blockchain games.
There's a demand already, it has just increase now as traditional gamblers are introduce to crypto online gambling and they love platforms in crypto and that result to the adoption. We can consider what is happening now helps the us to introduce crypto gambling to traditional gamblers, and hopefully they will stay even when the pandemic is over.
With the less appearance of physical casino it is indeed online casino is in demand nowadays due to the pandemic. This makes more demand in online gambling since people can't go out too due to the lockdown. But I doubt if more people would stay to play in online gambling anymore if the pandemic is over, I'm sure they missed having someone to talk to when playing. It's like more people is excited about how to socialize to others.
And that is also a proof that gamblers can't hold of themselves even when there is a pandemic. They will choose to gamble instead of focusing their money in the essentials for their family Cheesy.

After this pandemic, probably there will be some who will stay in online gambling because they see it enjoyable and less hassle for them but still there are some who will go to a physical casino as they are more comfortable with many people around them. They can communicate with other people personally and maybe that is what makes them excited like you said.
6088  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The average cost of sending a Bitcoin transaction is now just a little over $1. on: June 10, 2020, 12:41:56 AM
~
If we will just base on Bitcoin's transaction fees, yes 1$ is relatively low already compare to its fees within the past months especially after the halving where it surge up.

However if we will compare its fees compare to other altcoins right now, that 1$ fee of Bitcoin is high already compare to others like ETH, DOGE, or LTC and even BCH. I'm not that fan of transferring Bitcoins from one wallet to another and one to another. I only do a few transactions for a month (around 2-3 maybe) so this doesn't affect me that much although those who are doing some transactions using Bitcoin are happy that the fees are low right now. Either way, if I will choose between BTC and other coins as a mode of payment I will still choose the other coins (just being practical Cheesy).
6089  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I want to put my Bitcoin on a hardware wallet, but... on: June 10, 2020, 12:23:55 AM
what happens if I ever wanna buy? For example, let’s say BTC price jumps to 30k tomorrow but it only lasts for a few hours and it plummets back to 10k. Will I be able to sell it at all? How would I go about doing that? Would I have to transfer it back to some sort of exchange (like Coinbase)? How would I even do that?
Selling your BTC that is in your hardware wallet is still possible but the chances of selling it at your target price.. Hmmm I don't think that you can sell it.

Putting your BTC in the hardware means you are holding it for mid to long term. If you want to sell some in the future then you must keep a portion of your BTC in the exchange where you want to sell it then put the BTC you are willing to hold in a hardware wallet. If you put all of  your BTC in an hardware wallet, you can still sell it but not at your target price already since the speed of transaction in BTC is kinda slow compare to other coins unless you will put max tx fee on your transaction then you might sell it at your target price Cheesy.

New account here, but I've been in and out on Bitcointalk since 2017. Ingat-ingat lang tayo lods baka makita ng BIR.  Cheesy
BIR?Huh Fuck them hahaha.

Di ako against sa mga videos like this but mas ok if maging transparent din tayo dahil parang "clickbait" to base pa lang sa thumbnail niya.

Respeto na lang ang ibibigay ko sa creator Smiley Basta bwisit pa rin ako sa BIR  Grin Grin
6091  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Forget bounties and Airdrops on: June 07, 2020, 01:55:53 PM
1. a developer
2. build crypto wallets for new projects
3. find bugs in the system of many new projects
This is a direct hit for those bounty hunters and airdrop hunters who are still hoping that they will gain profit thru bounty and airdrop campaigns Cheesy.

Yes this is quite profitable but it requires lot of skills. Skills that only few of the bounty hunters have. If they have the skills to do these kind of things already then they will just stop doing bounty hunting and will focus on this. I don't think that there are many bounty hunters that are that skillful to do these kind of jobs. Yes they are profitable but it will take time to learn them. It is a risk that a bounty hunter should make.

I'm not against this kind of idea but for sure I will not support this.

I'm not into gambling that much but we know for sure that many gamblers became their life miserable because of them. Many gamblers lost their money because of them. Yes it is the fault of the casino because they didn't forced the gamblers to play in their casino but to pay tribute to them?? Nahhh I will just watch some movies while eating popcorn rather than participating into this kind of thing.

Benefits?? Only a few gamblers and the government are experiencing the benefits of a casino.
Criticism and society's curses?? That's normal already because some gamblers can't take their losses and there is nothing we can do with them.
Thrill, entertainment and profit?? Yes probably for a few gamblers but most of them are experiencing the exact opposite of it.
Empathy?? I would rather give my empathy into some kind of beggars out there who are asking for money and for those families who are really in need right now than these casinos. They don't deserve any empathy AT ALL.
6093  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Manny Pacquiao Might Fight Golovkin on: June 07, 2020, 01:46:13 PM
Well, I brought up here the image that came from the OP, if you look it regarding their physical comparison Golovkin has an advantage of heights and it is taller than Manny Pacquiao. But as a fellow countryman of Manny Pacquiao, I am going to support him whatever happen on the ring. I believed that this legendary boxer will continue his career in the boxing industry. Indeed, this bothers in my mind, it is a great career move for Pacman to fight GGG?
When Pacquiao fought Dela Hoya which is taller than him, he defeated him with a TKO. When Thurman fought him where Pacquiao is much smaller, he defeated him thru a decision. When it comes to Pacquiao, height advantage is just a nahhhh for him Cheesy. Height advantage will not work against him and we saw it with his past fights through the years.

These 2 legendary boxers did already their best inside the ring and they are somewhat old already but if these will happen then it would be a great fight for him. If Pacquiao will lose to this fight, there is a high chance that he will retire probably because his momentum is still on as he continues on winning consecutively. GGG also won in his last fight also. I will support Pacquiao for this fight if it will happen but the chances of this to happen is low probably because of the pandemic right now.
6094  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Did Covid-19 affect crypto gambling? on: June 07, 2020, 01:32:22 PM
It is the start of the month June and still people are gambling like nothing happened on online casinos. New casinos are coming up everyday and new games which are mostly PvC type.
Well, these probably are the ones whose either addicted to gambling already and they can't help themselves and pandemic isn't enough to stop them Cheesy or they are just hoping that gambling can give some money for them to be use to buy some essentials - in short they are risking their money thru gambling. Can't blame them but it would be better if they will stop gambling right now and focus on buying essentials and find another job either online (better) or offline if they can go out and work.

Also people have less money in their pockets now. So it would wiser to save up for essential costs. Many people have lost their jobs too. Sad
With the establishments being closed worldwide for more than a month, the pockets of the employees and those who are working are empty unless they have emergency funds which is I recommend for those who are working. I'm saving up some money too so that I can buy some essentials that will help us to survive in this pandemic.
6095  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency fraud and scams on: June 07, 2020, 01:25:45 PM
tl;dr
I didn't read the whole post of the OP as it is like a huge wall of text coming into my eyes and that hurts me a lot. OP at least make some double spaces between your post to make it clean. Anyway I will just give mine base on the subject.

Frauds and scams are very popular already with crypto. From Bitconnect scam to Centra scam to different exchanges being hacked or scammed. I saw so many hacks and scams happened in crypto world already in the past 3 years and I already have a basis whether a coin is a scam or not. New projects right now are the highest chances of it being a scam because scammers want to scam newbie investors and they can do it thru launching a scam project. Either way, just be knowledgeable and do some research before investing on different coins or projects.
6096  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why I like to learn and use bitcoin on: June 07, 2020, 01:20:38 PM
Actually, I think this is the best time to spread the gospel.
Regarding this idea, I'm quite agreeing with this but at the same time disagreeing Cheesy. I will say my opinions in both sides

I agree because it will help the cryptocurrency in general. As you are spreading, more and more people will be curious on it and will make a research to it and now that online transactions are being used globally because of the pandemic I think that many people will try to use crypto as an alternative way of paying online.

On the other hand as more and more people are losing jobs worldwide, people are holding on to their cash and that would be better for them if I will be asked. This is because not all establishments are accepting it. Spreading the gospel like you said but the people doesn't have any money to invest into it. Either way, it is still good that you opened it to them.
6097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty hunters aren't responsible for dumps on: June 06, 2020, 10:11:06 AM
Point 1.
Many bounty hunters hold tokens and coins they earn from bounties, not all of them are dumpers,
Not all of them are dumpers I agree but most of them are joining the bounty campaign for the sake of profit so they are playing a big role too in dumping the token aside from the investors and the team itself who are dumping most of the tokens.

Point 2.
and it's ridiculous if a project dumps because of bounties and airdrops promotions that's suppose to drive in many investors for them
These kind of promotions will surely help the project but the dumping of the bounty hunters is inevitable. They aren't the "ONLY" responsible for the dumps but also the investors and the team too.

Point 3.
Bounties allocations are not even up to 1% of the projects max allocations, the most projects I've seen only gives out 0.1% and some even gives out only 0.01%
Yep I agree with this but they also play a role in dumping alongside with the investors and the team Cheesy.

Overall, bounty hunters aren't the "ONLY" one who is responsible for the dumping of the token but also the team and the investors. Lets face it that most of them are just investing or joining just because of the profit and not because of the technology behind the project itself. Yes there are some who choose to hold the token they got but it is a huge risk to them because I don't see any project that didn't dump as they are getting listed on an exchange.
6098  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best altcoin ??? on: June 06, 2020, 10:05:37 AM
I don't want to recommend any altcoin out there even though I'm investing some of it.

I'm invested in ETH right now and for me that is the best altcoin because of the developments of the team that are on going right now but I don't want to recommend it still because it would be better if you will do some research into what coin would you want to invest your money with.
6099  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: PAGCOR waiting for the approval to reopen land-based casinos. on: June 06, 2020, 10:02:45 AM
Do you think it's safe to reopen land-based gaming knowing that the cases are still increasing by hundreds every day?
If I will be asked, I don't think that is safe to reopen this gaming casinos and as long as there is no cure for this virus nothing is safe.

The only thing that they've done this is that the economy of our country has battered heavily because of the pandemic. We are a developing country and this pandemic has affected lots of people already especially in the NCR where a huge percentage of the total cases came from there.

Yes the ratio of the total population to the total cases right now is relatively low but the healthcare system isn't as good as other countries in Asia. Either way, this is a risky move by the PAGCOR but they must do this for the economy of the country.
6100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Your Choice To Stay Longer Online Or Casinos on: June 06, 2020, 09:53:05 AM
Different people have different experiences when it comes to gambling in physical casinos and in online casinos.

Maybe there are some here who are more comfortable when they are gambling in physical casinos as they will communicate with other people personally and they are comfortable with it. Some might choose gambling online because of lesser hassle compare to casinos. For me, I choose gambling online because you can have access on gambling sites by just using your phone and no need to travel as you can gamble in your home. One reason that I choose online casinos too is that there are no near casinos here.
