-pathetic trolling-
Internet forums are wonderful things aren't they? You can noisily fill the forum up with lies about being a millionaire trader and accuse others of being broke. While ironically this forum is chock full of actual millionaires, many enriched by the very financial instrument you try and bash so badly. You really are a sad little creature! That's the great thing about being a millionaire trader. You've got lots of free time to spend all day spamming FUD on forums and telling everybody how rich and successful you are.

Oh and he has made millions trading. Hmm.
Millions of satoshis?

Im a smart investor who has already made millions off of trading.
Millions of satoshis? LOL You just contradicted yourself. First you called yourself an investor, then you admitted to trading. Trading isn't investing. It's gambling. Grow up.

I buy the dips.
I bought this week.
I agree with Melbustus' approach but I didn't get started as early.
I didn't start buying until they had already reached double digits.
Hopefully I'll never have to sell any bitcoins.
Buy, hold, spend.

LOL Can I quote you?

Bitcoin could go to zero or $100k I would never be under water. Me neither, but I don't gamble on margin. From your comments I figured you don't either. I was directing my post at the margin gamblers. I learned about margin gambling during my days at Goodwin Harris & Co., members of the Toronto Stock Exchange as it was called in those days (1968). You work in a carnival, you get to see how the carnies shake down the rubes.

BTC already exploded 2 years ago... oh and a year ago....
Don't forget the biggest explosion (bubble?) of them all, 3.5 years ago, the one to which the smaller bubbles of 2013 pale in comparison.

what if they ban the bitcoin?
Who and how? In case you hadn't noticed, Bitcoin is a global, decentralized, open-source, peer-to-peer protocol. The only way to enforce a "ban" would be to shut down the internet.

Good morning Bitcoinland.
No crash to double digits nor rally to 5 digits overnight?
Still going sideways?
I can live with that. Cheers.

Good morning Bitcoinland.
I see that the modest price increase from last night's Microsoft news is still holding (for now) and we're continuing sideways.
Slow and steady wins the race.

I missed the last couple of days and it seems that the price is still in the same area despite all the "action"
Yawn.
I think i even saw some reddit "sit tight and hold" but did not bother to check the price, i imagined it crushed to 200$ or something, but nope, 10$ down, 10$ up. Zzzzz
Exactly. My words when checking in this morning were, "Ho hum". That's it for me. I'm off to bed. I need my beauty sleep and the crack of noon is barely 6 hours away. 'Night all.

"Ahem... academic interest only." Hahahhahahahahaah Yeah... raise the conversation, a level... Now that's an even more flattering picture.

You'd think the dude fucked some of your moms the way some of you are slinging insults at him.
No insults from me bro. I like to have fun with all the bears/trolls. There's no denying his credentials... Stanford, PARC, etc. I just think he dropped the ball with Bitcoin and is too stubborn to admit it.

Quit being so mean. Here's a much more flattering picture. Cut the guy some slack. He's just trying to salvage some academic credibility after badmouthing Bitcoin for so long. Can't blame him for that. Notice the spiffy bow tie he wore for the occasion. It compliments his blue jeans quite nicely.

google or paypal
Why would anyone give money to Google? Their browser and OS suck, their search engine has turned to shit in recent years, and their Android program store is unnecessary. If you need Android programs, just find and download APK files to transfer to your Android device for installation. Getting a Google account is silly. They want too much information. Anonymity is a basic human right.

Well, well, well. Just got back from going out for a few drinks and I see we had a pleasant little price rise. Microsoft, eh? Pity. I would never voluntarily give them money. The only time since WinME that they've stung me has been when I've been forced to buy their OS because it was bundled with hardware I wanted. I figure after ripping me off for WinME, WinVista, and Win8, they owe me and all my friends free software for life. Still waiting for Ebay/Paypal to accept Bitcoin. That I would actually use on a regular basis. Waiting a week to send money from my bank account to Paypal has prevented me from making numerous Ebay purchases. I do not and absolutely will not own some sleazy credit card. Card-free for 20 years. Just say no. Let's hope this little bump up doesn't disappear immediately. It's obviously much too early to start posting trains and rockets but at least it should slow down the sinking ship and burning house shots. Me? I'm glad I bought a few more coins while they were under CAD400 (USD350). Meanwhile, I'm still waiting for the train.

There is another way to evade this risk, and it's to spread your investment money over many different assets, but how many of you do that?
Hopefully most sensible adult posters do. I recall a poll here in the Speculation sub-forum about what percentage of people's net worth was in Bitcoin. Only a few were all or mostly in Bitcoin, I seem to recall. I've got more in antique musical instruments alone than in Bitcoin but I expect my bitcoins to be worth a lot more eventually. The one asset I'm thin in is fiat currency in the bank but most of my revenues are in fiat so that's not an issue.
