Glad it finally worked  Smiley - just remember to make regular backups like what I said in the PM's so you'll be safe.

If you notice any 'hopping' from me, it's because my backup pool has kicked in  Undecided
6083  Economy / Goods / Re: >1.6W 445nm Blue Burner laser pointer [Gauging Interest] on: March 30, 2012, 04:16:35 AM
The laser driver is set at 1.5A and is powered by 2x cr123a batteries which i will include. this laser is good because of the large aluminum heat sink which allows for a longer duty cycle. This is barely used. it can get about1.68W of power. it can burn stuff and light match under a second and it is very bright and you can see the beam in the daytime. Currently the laser is at my other house and if there is enough interest on the laser, i'll get it.

Here is a picture that i have on my phone:

Just did a search, and saw the exact pic at http://laserpointerforums.com/f39/fs-1-6w-445nm-blue-burner-g4-host-72881.html#post1050761 , with a similar description. Also saw a guy with the same handle as you asking 'is this stil for sale?'. Are you planning to buy and resale this?

Is there escrow for this?

Anyone sane SHOULD do escrow on this, mark my words.
6086  Economy / Goods / Re: SOLD OUT SALE 25% Discount Amazon E-codes for BTC, Gox, or LR. I go first on: March 29, 2012, 04:56:37 PM
What would be the consequence for buyers if these do end up being stolen? Besides to obvious, but would amazon have the authority to track where the shipments went and would there be potential legal action?
The buyers would end up getting a lawyer letter to their homes if this were a scam.

Not picking sides here, but why don't you just give a brief (i.e. no trade secret version) idea of how you get your gc's? Like occulta here, he gets em from Associates if I'm not wrong. That'll shut everyone up then.

Taken from facebook post from the MT GOX page

Mt.Gox celebrates its first anniversary by offering a 50% discount on fees

TOKYO, JAPAN - March 29th, 2012

Tibanne acquired Mt.Gox in March 2011, and to celebrate this milestone and the Bitcoin community's continued support, we have decided to offer to all of our Mt.Gox customers a 50% discount on all trading fees!

From 00:00:00 GMT on April first, No, this isn't an April Fool's trick, until 23:59:59 GMT on April seventh all trade fees on Mt.Gox will be half price. Note that this is regardless of your trading volume or when you started trading with us!

Meaning that anyone who used to pay 0.6% will pay only 0.3%. This 50% discount on all trade fees will be automatically applied to everyone and relative to volume discounts as cited on our fee schedule.

Make sure you are trading between April first and April seventh to get this celebratory offer!!!

On behalf of Mt.Gox's staff, we would like to once again thank you for your continued support!

Oh, I see. Guess we'll see bigger-then-usual price fluctuations during this period due to the bigger volume half-fees would garner. Pity it wasn't fee-free though  Tongue.

Half-price? What do you mean? Huh
6090  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I would like to begin mining for bitcoins right away, but is there a guide? on: March 29, 2012, 08:36:32 AM
Try one of those pools at the mining subforum. Either one like abc, btcguild, and deepbit will do for non full time miners as they're a pay per share pool. Just choose the one with the lowest fees and the highest stability will do(you have to run the experiment yourself as this depends on your location, but I doubt this will be a problem).

Can a mod please see the logs if they're all the same person?
6092  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: [105% TESTING] I want your hashing power! "Project #2" on: March 29, 2012, 06:34:19 AM
No ETA. Things are taking longer than we expected and we keep having to deal with stuff that is beyond our control. It will at least be a few days, maybe a week:/ Sorry.
No problems. It seems to be better since an hour ago, but I'll wait from moving most of my miners until its 100%.
6093  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: [110% TESTING] I want your hashing power! "Project #2" on: March 29, 2012, 06:18:40 AM
This is why our data center is being attacked    http://money.cnn.com/2012/03/26/technology/microsoft-raid/

Seems the data center was hosting the C&C and they are attacking it out of revenge.

This means that for right now we are not going to be as stable as we were until they stop.

Also we are down 95 BTC since starting this (coin paid out to miners, not including other costs). We have had some issues and we had thought some of the money would be made back with GPUMAX. But as you all know that is not working right now. It also seems we are being hoped and that is killing us. Until we can fix some of this stuff we are going to have to cut the payment down to 105%

My goal was to give you guys most of the profit but we can't keep up daily losses. Once we break even we will make the percent higher. I understand some or most of you might leave and that is fine. You will be welcomed back once we get it 100%.

Thanks.

Any ETA's when the whole pool would be 100% up?

This thread sounds familiar....

...Escrow by the same person, that's a good way of doing 'escrow'.
Not saying anything, but personally I wouldn't touch this with a ten-foot long pole.
6096  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What would you do with 1 BTC? on: March 28, 2012, 01:19:05 PM
I would let it go towards another purchase at bitmit.com or other similar bitcoin-accepting sites.  Wink
6097  Economy / Lending / Re: [WANTED] 80 BTC loan for 30 days (Interest: 4%) on: March 28, 2012, 12:22:56 PM
Two error points here.
1- too low interest for 30 days. Heck, the standard rate is 10-15% per month, and even more if you consider piratea40's scheme.
2- we don't know you. Who are you, where are you from, and why should we trust you from not scamming us?
6098  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin help??? Where to buy and where not to buy on: March 28, 2012, 12:12:41 PM
Try mtgox if you're based in the USA , intersango for uk . There's quite few exchanges out there, but the main problem here is your payment method.

Don't worry, we're working on it. Smiley

Grin I'm looking forward to it. (Most of us here are, I'd wager)
