6081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Dogecoin with over 200% increased, what happen? on: January 28, 2021, 11:04:03 PM

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/dogecoin/

I'm surprised with what I see, I thought doge will remain stagnant with its price but suddenly this one displayed when I log in.

What could be the reason on this big pump, and do you think we will see further pump or it's just a typical pump and dump?
Dogecoin is one of the most stable in terms of having an unexpected pumps.  Grin

https://twitter.com/WSBChairman/status/1354658870560481285   Wink

Wall Street Bets Chairman tweeted about Doge and it pumped. They caused the $GME stock to pump hard before some days resulting in huge losses for big funds that tried to short it. It was actually a short squeeze!
Hahaha, I'm not underestimating the power of these retail investors who pumped Gamestop. But it's just hard to believe that Dogecoin will ever hit $1. Congratulations to your gains Dogecoin lovers. <3
6082  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: THE CRYPTO MARKET IS SO RICH AND SATURATED on: January 28, 2021, 10:38:43 PM
I am confidence that bitcoin will never fall below 20,000 or 25,000 again with the huge flux of money into cryptocurrency.
The same as you. I'm also thinking positive that it won't fall under $20k. Although don't be discouraged whenever there are analysis that you see that says it can go as low as $3k again, they won't stop thinking of it because they've truly missed buying the dip.
i am sure that no whale will be able to dump again hoping to buy back again. because liquidity is dropping from exchange. Also institutional investors are highly interested in btc plus other solid altcoins with massive market cap.
it is something worthy to note that the first 40 tokens/coins in the crypto market are worth more than 1 billion market cap. A huge achivement for the crypto space.
Institutions are getting their race of acquiring more bitcoins. Exchanges like etoro have said they're limiting their bitcoins for buyers.
6083  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Role of Cryptocurrencies in Pandemic Times on: January 28, 2021, 10:15:27 PM
How about your experience?
Had to sell some and buy some. It's been a very great of help during this pandemic and had to choose well for buying up again at a very good time.
If this continues, I won't spend most in portfolio and aiming to add some more because of those sell offs that I've did last year. Happy to see that my investments in some alts and mostly in bitcoin had been paid off and very rewarding because of the bull run.
6084  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do if Bitcoin hits $1m in the future? on: January 28, 2021, 09:55:31 PM
If Bitcoin hits such price levels, many early adopters will become millionaires.
At this point of time, those holders who have bought it early and holds around 40+ btc are already millionaires today.
I'll sell but not all that I've got. That's going to be a very historical sale for most people and if we're planning to sell, the institutions are the first one to sell from that point.
and what will institutions sell for? so they can buy their stock back?
Profit and somehow a reserve through their entire business. Yes, they can play as keeping those sold bitcoins that they did. That's what they've been doing even in traditional stocks.
Just playing it from time to time but I guess for this time, they're all focusing for long term and the same as us, they have high price targets.
6085  Economy / Speculation / Re: Baba Vanga's Prediction for bull market in 2021 on: January 28, 2021, 09:27:54 PM
Obviously we cannot understand exactly what she predicted but all of her predictions were in the old times and she had no idea of the technology. The dragon could be the US dollar , the red money could be the stimulus money being printed and the numbers could be the bull run for any currency which have a lot of zeros like bitcoin.
I'm more believing about the prediction about the dragon that it's likely to be China. It's been long since many countries are telling that it's where dragons are living and they're a sleeping dragon? I can't remember how it's worded exactly.
And with the current situation of the world, they literally are taking the world.
6086  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What are you guys trading today? on: January 28, 2021, 09:06:44 PM
I closed some BTC deals today and I even made some money.
Congrats. It had dumped to $29k and as of writing it's $32,800. And while with Ethereum, I think the lowest that I've seen with the most recent dump was $1,100 - $1,200.
And as of today's price, it is $1,333. Both are in profit if you someone had bought with those low levels a few days ago.
6087  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Fusion (FSN) wiil be the next x100/x1000 coin! Very strong fundamentals for DEFI on: January 28, 2021, 08:44:00 PM
1 post and left.
But sure if u believe it can raise. Then buy
Better not to spend any penny on this kind of crypto. Don't believe with others words saying that it will grow tremendously because they are just words and don't be too gullible to believe.
6088  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Whcih countries will be forthcoming on adopting Bitcoin on a natioanl level? on: January 28, 2021, 08:19:22 PM
There have been countries that have became friendly to crypto already. Just like Malta.
Countries Are Using Malta To Expand Their Cryptocurrency Business
6089  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to create an android app for your altcoin? on: January 27, 2021, 06:20:05 PM
Hmm alright, I see, so my apology if I misunderstood the guy Smiley

I just need some sort of built project to fork and edit later on, I found Coinbase SDK and Bitcoinj but I'm still checking how to set my blockchain on it yet
Are you into programming? it requires programming if you want to create a wallet for an altcoin. If you don't have, you'll be needing to hire a developer for you.
Stuff like this can't be done through questions but by hiring one who understands it and has experienced on it.
It's not so difficult to create your own app like wallet, gas tracker and various things.
It's difficult if no experience and the skill needed.
6090  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: No positive sign in LTC on: January 27, 2021, 05:47:12 PM
LTC had a small bullish movement with BTC being bullisj but after reaching $180 or close, it’s moving in the reversal way. Almost all the coins had good pump, but what's wrong with LTC? It has not risen, despite price has been decreased. Can someone put a theory behind this?
I don't have theory on it but it got a pump first before most of the cryptos went up. And just as what we see with the market lately, they're done with the pumps and it had to correct.
But after this correction, we'll see them again pumping one each other but no one knows if LTC will be the first one.
6091  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How This Digital Artist Made $370,000 in Crypto on Their 18th Birthday on: January 27, 2021, 05:06:44 PM
NFT related or not as long as it's related to crypto, these artists deserve to earn with those amounts for their creativity. I've seen a lot of art works that have been making a good amount from this.
And if other artists start to know about this, they'll be encouraged to make crypto related artworks too. But this artist is extraordinary, earning with that amount while still 18. I remember myself at that age doing useless things with my time.
6092  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What happens if internet connectivity gets terminated on: January 27, 2021, 04:28:02 PM
Unlikely to happen with advance countries to average countries which are the developing countries. Internet is already like a food to us and mostly to the companies that are relying on it. But to say that internet gets interrupted for a limited time, you'll see that there will be trillions of losses in the entire economy which will cost a lot not just from the biggest corporations but also to the government of each countries. And relating to bitcoin, it stops transactions and mining but I don't think an entire global interruption of internet will happen. There would be a possibility that there's an interruption on the East but not on the West and the same as North and South of the globe.
6093  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is bitcoin steering towards $40k once again? on: January 27, 2021, 03:41:34 PM
I hope no big pump dump on bitcoin since it can be hurt alts more (Im alts hodler), just be sideways and stable bitcoins  Grin.
If you haven't noticed for the past years, when bitcoin dumps, altcoin follows. But if that's your strategy and you like it, good luck to you holding too much in altcoins.
You hold altcoins but you should hold bitcoin to make it better.
6094  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there subject to study Cryptocurrency ? on: January 27, 2021, 02:14:06 PM
Since Satoshi Nakamoto invented Bitcoin, a total of more than ten years have passed. The creation of a mature discipline requires time accumulation. Maybe you can learn something from some economic and financial books to help you establish this discipline. By the way, go abroad. Good study abroad.
The connection of economics and bitcoin relies on its market value and understanding how supply and demand works. But in terms of technology, that's another case study which needed to be learned through technical aspects either with other professionals freely or through paid courses that has syllabus to study about it.
6095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Altcoins for Investment on: January 27, 2021, 12:50:23 PM
Only DOT sounds good with that list you've made. The other coins that you have mentioned, I'll tell you that others might say that they don't have an idea what are those.
Just so you did a research about those coins, did you have them? did you bought them and included to your stash?
6096  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the point of so many cryptocurrencies? on: January 27, 2021, 12:12:35 PM
They don't really have a different use. As you have said, they're following bitcoin which is a payment for all transactions and the same use. There's no difference between the use of bitcoin and these altcoins. They have a preferred industry to be made as a token but that's just the same as bitcoin being a payment for most transactions. It all started from the ICOs which preferring to the industries that they are promoting like in Energy, precious metals, you name it, there are many of them before.

I have been here long enough to know that even for socalled utility tokens,,, the uses are all made up. They are logical and rational,,, but the motivation is seldom big enough for people to want to use (usually for cheaper or faster but nothing is as cheap or fast as Visa at the moment).

Worse still is getting merchants to accept alts. Almost near impossible.
Time after time, most merchants and people will start accepting the most popular cryptos. Those projects that are still making tokens and calling it as a utility will have to stick to their products.
But in real world, they will mostly be ignored because of their focus as a utility to a project and product that they're working at.
6097  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Another insane win!! $ 1B mega million jackpot on: January 27, 2021, 11:38:01 AM
That is a huge win, however I think it is understandable that he has not come forward, after all that is a lot of money and he could become the victim of criminals and scammers so he is probably worried about it, where I live you can send your legal representative to get the prize money for you, the lottery will know your name and who you are but your identity will be protected from public scrutiny, so I do not know if the winner can do this to avoid all the attention of the media.
I wouldn't send someone to represent that amount for me. I'll take the amount and get to visit personally since it's huge money that's you're about to claim. Although it's possible to have a representative we're talking about huge money in here and you don't trust anyone with that amount.
I don't know if that is granted if there is a representative to claim the prize, as I know you are personally going there as a winner of the prize.
That's a problem because once there are greedy people who know your identity that you have won a huge amount, it is easy for them to find ways how to get your money, blackmailing or even kidnapping someone of your loved ones in exchange for money.

If you see, most are prefer to become anonymous if they will win in the lottery, hiding your identity is something safe in my opinion, than publicly shouting that you have won on lottery.
Maybe it's a case to case basis but as I've said the representative can do such crazy thing with that amount and lose the trust you've put into.
I understand the point of sending representative but if with this money at stake, it's no use to ask someone claim it for you.
6098  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Dont stay in crypto too long on: January 27, 2021, 10:49:27 AM
I do not think so that anyone can shutdown Bitcoin as it is pretty much decentralized and is not controlled by anyone.
Other coins will die with time. But Bitcoin can keep surviving. There is no need to panic
It is the reality that bitcoin will continue and it will remain to be at the top. With government or without government, it's just getting stronger. And with people having to discourage others to get out or stop getting in bitcoin might be jealous of what it is right now.
Don't listen to them but look at what it is right now.
6099  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the point of so many cryptocurrencies? on: January 27, 2021, 02:09:53 AM
They're trying to follow the BTC steps, perhaps. These altcoins actually got different uses, unique characteristics that they're trying to bring to the masses, sadly not everyone bites it.

If only those projects come to reality and not just ended up in papers, we will have a better use of crypto in our everyday life. The common problem in most blockchain projects is that even if they have noble use case, actual implementation is hard. If the team is not hard working enough, they won't get active users to use their platform, which will end up abandoning the platform. Remember those projects exploring in science, logistics, name it, where are they now? Implementation is a challenge for them as well as the funds needed to move forward with their developments.
I agree to you. But that's not the scenario that we see from day to day living. With bitcoin, we can use it for most transactions that we do online and somehow, the adoption is increasing but not mostly to the local areas where we're living in.
We just have to give up the ideas about ICOs and other projects that are making crowd funding through their tokens. If they have an idea, they don't have to release a token and just go with the regular crowd funding.

We have several Ripple threads already, we can continue this type of discussion through those threads. Just like these two topics about it.
