6081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a scam attempt? Or Nothing to panic? on: November 29, 2019, 04:56:43 PM
In my opinion, I think IDAX is attempting a scam exit. We all know how cunning they can be when they're ready to ooze off. Different strategies they use. And now, even if the CEO shows up, users will flee the exchange as they will lose confidence and trust for it. And that would be the beginning of the dead end of IDAX. So, I'll advise that you start using non-custodian waller.

Yes, it is indeed an exit scam, the authorities should now take over the case and get after the CEO,  I don't think he can run away even if he has huge money, the world is small and it will be smaller for him now, soon a warrant and a bounty will be put to his head.
Time and again we cannot trust exchange wallet, and this is not the last thing that it's going to happen, either hackers or CEO will steal the coin you store in your exchange.
6082  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You think terrorist groups around the world use Cryptos as a means of payment? on: November 29, 2019, 02:54:48 PM
Considering that there are still many terrorist groups or insurgents groups around the world right now fighting with weapons that probably cost a lot. Do you guys think that they use cryptocurrencies in order to fund their armies or do they stick with trading with cash or trading valuable resources that they have?

I would not be surprised if they do trade with cryptocurrency considering that cryptocurrencies are really hard to trace compared to the conventional means of trading such as cash or valuable resources. Unless their funders don’t really accept cryptocurrency and they stick with the older methods of payment.

By the way, just to make it clear. I am not in any way planning to make a terrorist group or insurgency, I am just asking out of curiosity as I can see that those terrorist groups or insurgencies in the news must get their funding from somewhere and I was wondering what means do they use to trade for their equipment.

With its nature, which is anonymity, they have been reported that they do use Cryptocurrency to fund their terroristic acts and it was supported by documents, this is the reason why the government is strictly enforcing KYC, to exchanges, so they will know and tract if it is illegal on the funds being transacted, terrorist will always fund a way to move their funds, whether in fiat or Cryptocurrency, and so far with the implementation of KYC, these are all minimized.
6083  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Conor McGregor vs. Donald Cerrone [JAN 2020] Discussion on: November 29, 2019, 11:28:53 AM
The giant is back in the ring and just like every time, this is going to be a very hyped match when it comes to bets and gambling. The match is taking place in Las Vegas on January 18 next year. My favorite obviously is the Irishman Conor. Who do you think you'd be placing your bets on?

More reading: https://www.mmafighting.com/2019/11/28/20987312/conor-mcgregor-vs-donald-cerrone-to-headline-ufc-246 [I'm not affiliated with the website or anything just dropping a link to the source of my information]

Donald Cerrone the cowboy is fading I have seen his last fight with Gaethje and it's not really good, where he was knock out, what a way for Connor to pick an opponent, well maybe because he needs an easy fight to get into the picture again, and he wants to build up a rematch against Nurmagomedov.
6084  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever done to experiment to determine percentage of winning? on: November 29, 2019, 10:35:40 AM
Is there anyone here who tried to experiment in online gambling sites with a pen and paper?

Here's the idea, to determine the percentage of winning, I always think of doing an experiment where I would bet in an online gambling site then each bet will be written to the paper. A total of 10 bets per day in a 1-week duration and each bet will be written and will be recorded depending if the bet is winning or losing. Then conduct an analysis of the percentage of winnings to determine if there are some tricks we could find with these experiments in different gambling sites.

If there is someone who already does this, could you please share the outcome? At what Bet you usually win? and what platform could that technique be applicable?

I never thought of this, because the house edge will always beat you, so many strategies have been set up to try to beat the house but all of these are nor successful, I don't know about the others, but it will lessen the excitement, once you tried to track it, because sometimes it's a roller coaster, even if you employ a strategy, the outcome will always mix, no same outcome on every hour.
6085  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Have you any new ideas to replace the KYC? on: November 28, 2019, 09:47:43 AM
Why is everybody so scared about KYC process? None of us is James Bond who needs to hide his identity, it is a very simple process of doing a picture with your ID, nothing more. Besides I can hardly imagine something that can replace this process.
I really don't like KYC, if there's a replacement and it will not compromised our identity, I'd like to see how we are going to do that, but as long as the site, where it's asking a KYC is legit and will not sell your identity in the black market, then I'm ok with you, I'm ok doing sending my passport and my selfie, and so far I have done it in the top projects and exchanges that I invest and trade.
It's also one of the safest and secure way to recover your account in case of a hack.
6086  Economy / Economics / Re: Anyone else remember this? on: November 28, 2019, 05:26:36 AM
Your opinion is too negative and unrealistic.  The world has many opportunities and they cannot find suitable jobs for themselves.  There are many students working against their field.  Studying in college is a stepping stone for them to reinforce their ideas.  I see many successful students who do something outside their specialty and learn how to feel right.  There are many people who do the right job for which they are trained but they hate the job and quit.  There is also a group of successful people.

Well, I think we all should be happy that the world has gone more open and more sophisticated than years ago. Before, there seems to be only one way to gain success, and that is to study hard and then find employment right after, even if that means you will enslave yourself to your employer or the company you are working for. It should not be the only way. I am thankful to crypto and the online world that work could be done with freedom.

That's true, now there are many unconventional ways to work, thanks to the internet, people can work at the comfort of their home, enjoy great freedom, and actually make more money, than when they are working in the office.
I'm glad I'm doing this, there's so many hustles going to work in a factory and on the office, traffic here is very horrible in our country you will need to 2 to 3 hours to get to work and same hours to go home, imagine those wasted time.
6087  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [What IF] Part 7 on: November 28, 2019, 03:46:12 AM
The kid is just being himself, no need to scold him or get angry, it's your fault you should do your thing away from your child, just tell your kid that he should not touch anything without asking permission first, and next time do your gambling stuff in your room away from the eyes of your kids.
6088  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wilder vs. Fury II: The Rematch is On on: November 28, 2019, 01:00:33 AM
This should be a 50/50 fight as the first fight ended up as draw, but with the recent win of Wilder, I think he will be a slight favorite in this game, but with that line, we can still get a good value of our bet betting either any of the fighter.

For sure this one is going to be an exciting fight, whether it will end in decision or KO, I just like to see how Fury will make an effort this time around.
Well, the first fight was supposed to be for him, but he got known down in fight so maybe that was the one that really helps Wilder.

It should be 50/50, even if Fury is not holding a title, he knows how to generate hype in a fight, even if he is fighting lower class fighters he still stirs excitement into the fight, this fight could still go the other way, if Wilder did not score a knockdowns, that could be an easy win for Fury,
Wilder will take this fight seriously now if he wants to be the greatest fighter of this generation, he must knock out Fury.
6089  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your take? on: November 27, 2019, 05:24:21 PM
What is your take on the dwindling of the prices of cryptos? What do you think are the factors behind its fluctuation? What is your percentage (%) backing on crypto investments? How about your investment portfolio, is the return on your investments (ROI) encouraging? What is your advice to crypto investors now?
Let us discuss.

My portfolio is not encouraging if you mean altcoins, I'm hanging my hopes in what's going to happen next year and I think we all do, it's been two years of frustration and our portfolio have suffered enough, but we are already here, we are going to be  sorry if we back up, we should not, people are heading here, so we need to stay and trust the situation will improve next year.
6090  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How soon the blockchain industry can be adopted, is this within 2020? on: November 27, 2019, 05:00:59 PM
Cz posts on his twitter account oftenly that " slowly but surely"  I am worried about it. Guys, can you predict how slowly the adoption can be achievable? would It take within 2020 and this 2020 can be remarkable in history? \

He is right when he says slowly but surely because that is the way to proceed, this is not a fad where everybody will notice it then fade away quickly, Bitcoin achieved it slowly and surely in the last ten years, but this time it will be a little bit fast than what is experienced in the last ten years, once the big companies and countries start coming in, things will go a little bit faster, but I like it that way slowly but surely.
6091  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: No matter how successful a bounty project is...... on: November 27, 2019, 04:20:41 PM
No matter how successful bounty project is, if participants are way too much and the bounty campaign has no limits you will all get too low rewards, this is where many are confused and complains that they only get 10$ from bounty after weeks of working, apart from price dumps this is another thing you should set your eye on.

Assuming a bounty pool worth 100k and thousands are waiting to get their shares please learn to use calculator sometimes, no matter how long the weeks are what you will get will be unsatisfying already.
Honestly, I'm ok with it as long as the project is a legit and a huge success, bounty hunters now will not just pick any campaign to promote, they will see to it that the project is legit and good, it's a lost effort if you are going to receive a huge stake but the project end up a failure in the market and you cannot cash it out.
6092  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Upbit exchange was hacked. 342,000 ETH lost on: November 27, 2019, 02:57:36 PM
I wonder, why Korean exchanges are often hacked? And this incident triggers the fall of all crypto prices on the market. I hope the exchange can solve this problem immediately and not harming their users, because the 342k ETH that was stolen was worth 48.6 million dollars and this is a bad incident at the end of the year for the crypto industry.

Yeah, it is, it's been quite some time that we have not read about exchange hacking incident, and I just thought something like this will be avoided, security has been the utmost concern of every traders and exchange, it should be addressed once and for all, I read on one my Facebook friend's feeds that it could be an inside job, I hope it's not, bad way to end the year for the Korean traders and exchange.

Why do you gamble?
I gamble for fun, to be entertained, and have a break from my activity

Why do you do not invest that money instead?
Why you do not donate them?

Why?
Gambling is ok a good form and way to have some fun but the risk is always there.
6094  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What to Expect in the Cryptocurrency Market Forecast by 2020? on: November 26, 2019, 05:08:42 PM

2020 is gonna bring a lot of exciting changes and innovations in the cryptocurrency industry. The market analysis reports a steady rise in the no. of cryptocurrency and blockchain-related startups. Also, the ICO’s, mining, dApps, etc. are about to increase.

The blockchain industry is on the rise and expected to bloom in 2020. Many established companies like Coca-Cola, VISA, Walmart are adopting Blockchain in their day-to-day activities. Based on these analyses, it is easy to say that Cryptocurrency is the future.

Let me know your point of view on this?

It's more exciting than the last halving, and it's more rewarding than the last all-time high of 2017, so many things have happened after the last halving and the all the time high, all these elements that have happened in the last 4 years, I expect something huge to happen after the halving, I don't pay much attention to the FUDS, I am more looking on the next 12 months.
6095  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Prices are showing on Yahoo Finance on: November 26, 2019, 03:58:15 PM
With more than 3.5 billion month to month guests Yahoo Finance is probably the biggest stage for social event updates on the money related world and now it has given straightforwardness to its watchers by coordinating with CoinMarketcaps for giving news including market capitalization, exchange volume, flowing stockpile and numerous different things for just about 118 significant digital currencies.

This will incorporate cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Ripple (XRP), Tether (USDT) and numerous others.

Instructive data

Both Yahoo and CoinMarketcaps have chosen that webpage won’t just give the data about exchanging these specific digital forms of money, it will likewise be giving data in regards to the improvement of crypto markets, and also online journals and bulletins will be accommodated the clients from the CoinMarketcaps site.

Source: TheCoinRepublic

They cannot ignore the fact that those investors that are subscribing or in a habit of reading their news are now Crypto investors and they want to serve their readers better by giving them price ticker of Cryptocurrency, in the future, it's not going to be Yahoo Finance, so many investment websites will incorporate Crypto price ticker, because the market is growing and so are the users, and it will benefit them if they include the price ticker.
6096  Economy / Economics / Re: You want to get rich, don’t pay taxes, don’t get married, don’t use bank, and... on: November 26, 2019, 02:53:45 PM
Don’t pay taxes: govt love taxes! It make them super super wealthy and make you super super poor, govt don’t care if you starve to dead tomorrow, that’s your own fault to be basement dweller, govt rather spam their tweeter with non sense China FUD.

Don’t get married: get a traditional marriage and get a nasty divorce, your wealth immediately split into half! It is no brainier why marriage is a trap in the modern lifestyle, and your lawyers won’t help you to get rid of divorce, you’re doomed! We know Jeff Bezos can buy the best lawyers on the planet to fight for his rights, yet the status quo court decide to prejudice all is his fault to get into marriage at the first place, you horny you pay the biggest price! This is justice! Smiley

Finally, don’t get a job, because jobless is not a fake news, govt keep spreading fake hope that we have 0.000001% jobless rate, while many under employed staff wandering around the streets.
Don’t pay taxes: I wish I could but it's not only mandatory but obligatory as well, no one escapes this one, even jobless are being taxed, they tax you on whatever you do and still looking for ways to tax you.

Don’t get married: You can do this when you are still young but once old ages creeps in you want someone to talk to and someone who will take you when you are at home and sick

Finally, don’t get a job I like this one, but only if I have a pension so I can go and eat whatever I like, one month with no job means you are not going to eat for a month...

Only those who are already in graves enjoy this luxury.
6097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What would you have done? on: November 26, 2019, 02:02:09 PM
If 2019 should have been reversed back to 2017, just these once what would decisions will you revert?

Definitely not holding all these shitcoins for long, 2017 is a year of anticipation and frustration, you anticipated that the price will go up and only got frustrated because it's the other way around, all of us have this experience of holding on too long and finally dumping it at a loss, this is the first time it happens and we all learned from this experience.
6098  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If You Bought Bitcoin Each Week in 2019, You’d Be up 49% on: November 26, 2019, 10:32:44 AM
If you would have averaged your Bitcoin buys weekly, you’d be up by almost 50% for the year—an impressive statistic that proves it is smart to spread out your buys.

Does averaging out your buys instead of going ‘all in’ make for a better strategy? With making large buys, it’s about timing the market. However, averaging out your Bitcoin buys over a longer period of time has brought great returns for investors this year.

Full news here

I honestly do not know what to say about this guys, but dang! If only I can afford buying Bitcoin every week and having guts of taking risks in this unpredictable market, for sure I would be in profits by now.

However, do you guys agree about this one? Up to this date, most of the market move are in favor of the bulls than the bears.

Even the bulls are pushing the price higher, the bears are not slowing down in pulling it back. We are still up by the way. From over $3k last January and now hovering around $7.2k after this year’s high of almost $14k.

I'm pretty sure that many people have bought and still buying Bitcoin every week and some or most of them are buying daily, I'm buying Bitcoin every week however small, people should do this because everybody knows that, there is an incoming halving, the last three days is the best opportunities, where Bitcoin hit the $6000, I doubt if it will happen again, if it does I will buy more.
6099  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would it be realistic for the world to run on cryptocurrencies? on: November 25, 2019, 03:34:13 PM
I am just wondering would it be possible in the future for the world to run solely on cryptocurrency? Considering that right now there are many people from different walks of life who are using cryptocurrencies in their day to day life. I think right now one of the main limiting factors for world-wide cryptocurrency usage is the world’s governments who make restrictions on cryptocurrency usage. Moreover, I also think another factor in limiting cryptocurrency usage is a lot of people’s lack of understanding of cryptocurrencies as it is a rather new technology to most people.

I think that we can solve most of these problems by educating people about cryptocurrencies and debunking what the mainstream media have done to slander cryptocurrencies.
I honestly think that if these issues a solved then we will probably have more people to use cryptocurrencies worldwide.

What would do you guys think, I’m just speaking (posting) my thoughts over here. Feel free to correct me if I am wrong. I’ just rather optimistic about the future of cryptocurrency usage in the future.

Honestly, it's not really impossible, there are some companies and country adopting blockchain and implementing cryptocurrency, people only follow what they see as the norm and of those they can understand, when they see people and companies using Cryptocurrency, they will just adapt it also, but it's not something we can get overnight, ten years of Bitcoin has reached a lot of milestones and we just need more years to make this happen.
6100  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can do Governements against Satoshi ? on: November 25, 2019, 02:08:49 PM
The government can't harm him. He did nothing that go against the law. Though if he reveal himself, he's still in danger because there are a lot who would probably want his bitcoin and such. If don't want to work with the government, he's free to do so... Or maybe he is just not greedy when it comes to fame. Maybe he's contented with what bitcoin have achieved.

No government can harm him, the whole Cryptocurrency community and the media will protect him because he will become a very huge commodity and news if he finally comes out, the real one I mean.
But with the huge amount on his wallet, I don't think he is safe roaming alone, the government where he's citizenry is based will probably protect him if that government is lenient in Cryptocurrency, but the chances for him to surface is nil or zero, he has a good chance in the past.
