not every ICO is a scam but ppl like this ruin it for the good guys.
Every ICO is a scam one way or another. The idea that people invest into a concept that hasn't been proven yet in return of an Intial Coin Offering sounds nothing more than a scam itself.

Satoshi Dice's affilate program used to say it pays in real time... I checked again and now it says that earnings are made available to your account in the first week of each month.Source: https://satoshidice.com/affiliate-program/

We went from me being supportive towards you for wanting to persuade people you like to accept bitcoin donations to this.
You misunderstood. I'm asking your opinion on Anita Sarkeesian. Is that interpreted as asking for money??? I never said you were asking for money. Maybe you misinterpreted what I said. Here's a quote from my first post here with the part that I was refering to highlited: Bitcoin is all about neutrality, opinions of others shouldn't affect you if you don't think they're credible. If you're looking to donate to Anita, or whatever else organisation, cause and political movement and you'd really like to do it through bitcoin you shouldn't hesitate asking directly.
Seeing that you're also interested to get an opinion on how successful it would be if Anita started accepting bitcoin donations... Well, things are simple, at least in my mind. Her videos represent a female audience and although they attract much attention in the internet most of her supporters seem to be female. Female users of bitcoin are a really small percentage of the total user base. Where do you think this is going?

Almost all casinos offer 20 to 50% of Net Gaming Revenue. eg. Bitstars.net, SatoshiBet FortuneJack is an exception.
Is it still possible to create multiple ref link from one account?
Only one link per account - but you can have lots of accounts. If I click the bitstars link in your sig, what percentage of my losses will you pay me? Edit: I checked out their "100% first deposit bonus": they'll double your first deposit up to 0.3 BTC but you have to play it through 35 times, and wagers only count 5% of their value unless you play slots, so that's 700 times, and the max bet is 0.1 BTC, so I'll have to make at least 2100 bets to claim my "free" 0.3 BTC - and I only have 30 days to do it, or they'll subtract the bonus amount from my account, and any losses I made so far come out of my initial deposit... What a warm welcome! So how's their affiliate scheme? If I make a single large bet on blackjack and lose, how much will you give me back? Edit: "We know a good rate of commission is important. That's why we offer you the chance to earn up to 40% each month whether you are promoting Euro or Bitcoin gaming." 40% of what, exactly? What does "Net Gaming Revenue" mean? Bonus policies always seemed weird to me. So according to what you said, if one does not reach the required bets after 30 days (let's say he claimed a bonus of 0.3 for this example) the 0.3 BTC bonus will be subtracted from his account but he gets the chance to keep and withdraw any winnings he made by betting with 0.6 BTC?

Thanks for the clarifications, I am actually aware of the stuff you mentioned but I'll have to admit that I still learned one thing or two since you went in great detail to explain what you said. Maybe me oversimplifying what I was writting about made it seem a bit wrong. I was actually repeating the same thing doog said a post above (just with different words). So in dooglus' words this time: If you never get a bonus, you need to add about 1.0% to the house edges above.
And at least in my mind the YOLO style bet can bring you closer to this situation.

Maybe we could get this information on a sticky since I see many other people are facing this exact same problem as well since the default setup makes wallets to be like that unless modified.

Alani123, is there anything you don't agree with here? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anita_Sarkeesian#Terrorist_threat_at_Utah_State_University? Maybe you have some insight which you would like to share and improve the article in its factual accuracy? The talk page exists so that you can add your point of view + arguments. Maybe your part of the Bitcoin community is afraid of Wikipedia talk pages, generally The most innocent of pages are talk pages, which is for discussions minus rantings(though you can rant, you are allowed to but it's not like your argument is gonna get any further with adding any rantings) I like how this is progressing. We went from me being supportive towards you for wanting to persuade people you like to accept bitcoin donations to this. I don't have anything against wikipedia, I think it's a brilliant website actually, I too sometimes contribute to posts in my native language. What I tend to dislike from time to time though, is that some entries clearly lean towards a certain direction not being neutral as they should. The specific section of the Anita Sarkeesian wikipedia page seems to have included many sources, and it does a good job trying to back things written there. (It even managed to pass an anti-gamergate statement by containing it withing a couple of quotation marks. But that's another story.) It included 17 sourcing articles covering the same event to produce a paragraph of text, yet the official statement of the Utah State University police posted in their official website wasn't even mentioned once in this paragraph. And what was the title of that statement? POLICE: NO RISK TO STUDENTS

There's also the 1% chance of an instant crash. Losses occured from the insta crash are supposed to be contributed to the bonuses but the precentage of the crash still adds up to the possibility of losing.
So if someone deposits BTC in there with the sole porpuse of betting it all in a single round looking to double his money he'd be betting against a (~)1.5% edge. The bonuses can wipe out the crash precentage on long term runs but obviously don't favor the hit and run tactic. IMO you'd better bet on a dice if you're going to use that playstyle.

Not one watch this section. You should post in altcoin announcement.
Because accusing ICOs for being a fraud truly fits into the altcoin announcement subforum. On a serious note, you're actually right about this section of the forum not receiving many views. I'm not sure if I should move the topic though since I'm actually proposing a change in the rules along with everything else.

Most complaints about the trust system were coming from people saying they got their account ruined without even doing something bad... I'm sure you already know this. Anyone from the trust list could send negative feedback, even because he didn't like someone. I give you the LukeJr-bipolarBob incident as an example, there are likely hundred more...

And no one had the thought, "Gee, I wonder if this miner I have to download is malware!"
Yeah did anyone check to see if the file contains any suspicius content? Did you ran it on a VM to monitor it's actions? You might be transforming your computer into a zombie working for a botnet after downloading this. Plus the design of the website and the payout structures makes me think that it's working similarly to a HYIP. Actually I just checked that, they're listed on many hyip monitors. http://allmonitors.net/hyip/cointellect.com
