6101  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [OFFICIAL]Bitfinex.com first Bitcoin P2P lending platform for leverage trading on: October 13, 2017, 06:48:34 AM
Yes, there's nothing. A withdrawal request was cancelled a few minutes after opening it and now I'm not receiving any email for the a second request either.

Did you use this withdrawal address before? Did you change anything on your security settings in the last 5 days? I think either of those can slow it down and also if it's a very large amount.
6102  Economy / Exchanges / Bitfinex minimum order sizes are changing on: October 13, 2017, 06:26:07 AM
Bitfinex has just announced that their minimum order sizes will be changing regularly in the future to keep them pegged to a USD value.

Full announcement:
Quote
On Tuesday, October 24th, Bitfinex will be making adjustments to the minimum order size for several trading pairs.

Beginning on the 24th, the minimum order size for each trading pair will be automatically adjusted on a weekly basis to maintain minimum order sizes that are reasonably proportioned to their values. The goal is to keep the minimum order size between $10 and $25 USD equivalent value while limiting the changes to the minimum order sizes to useful incremental values.

At this initial adjustment, some pairs will have their minimum order size adjusted downward (for example, BTC/USD will likely be adjusted from 0.005 to ~0.004) - while others will see a significant increase in minimum order size (for example, IOTA/USD will be adjusted from 0.1 to ~10.0). This will ensure that all trading pairs maintain minimum order sizes that are closer in relative value.

Minimum order sizes can be checked at any time using the REST v1 API endpoint, /v1/symbols_details (API documentation).

6103  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anything faster than 1-minute charts? on: October 13, 2017, 04:46:28 AM
You can use chart on tradingview.com

That is a very good charting site and I highly recommend using it however it will not solve the OP's problem. The minimum chart interval is still 1 minute on TradingView.
I haven't seen anything available for crypto trading but professional trading software usually provide tick charts. Tick is the term used to describe the data from an individual trade going through on the time and sales so a chart is then made up of bars or candles each containing the specified number of ticks. A 500 tick chart, for example, would be relatively quick in a high volume pair or you could use a 50 tick chart for a lower volume pair. This is still the early days of crypto trading and I'm sure the software available to use will eventually catch up.

6105  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: FreeBitco.in - Win free Bitcoins every hour! on: October 13, 2017, 03:32:25 AM
This is as well as whether their hardware can handle the stress are things people should want to consider before diving into it. For me it's not worth it at all, just for the electricity costs alone.

I know this comes as a surprise to many people but it turns out that processors are very good at processing without getting stressed out about it. It really is complete nonsense that keeps getting repeated and it's been answered many times already in this and other threads on the subject. It will not harm your computer to mine.

Electricity costs and profitability are going to be different for each user. You really need to download a diagnostic tool to see how much extra electricity the CPU is using by mining and then do the calculations. For most people with relatively new hardware and average electricity costs, this does work out to be profitable.

Same issue for me !
No daily payout, no manual payout  and no answer to my email..... Angry

There's a link to a different forum at the bottom of the multipool.us page, it might be worth trying there as I haven't seen anything responded to here for a long time.
6107  Economy / Gambling / Re: Investing in btc casinos on: October 12, 2017, 05:30:02 PM
Is it still profitable to invest in casino bankrolls? And more important for me, is there info did they gave BCH on previous hard fork to investors and how will they proceed in next hard fork in the end of the month.

Yes, it can be. The question of whether it is profitable or not depends on both luck and how well the casino is run. There will always be variance in earnings. High rollers getting lucky can cause a drawdown but over the long run, the house edge will always win. The other part is the running costs of the casino that need to be deducted.
Casinos that are open for investment are open about the performance and you can check their track record.
I know that Crypto-Games.net distributed the BCH from the last fork, I'm sure others can tell what the rest did. I'd assume that the same will happen this time but it would probably be best to wait for an official statement from each casino to be sure.
6108  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: has anyone tried freebitco.in investment? on: October 12, 2017, 02:44:07 PM
I have never tried out freebitco.in investment option yet, but I do know that freebitco.in is a trusted site, after reading so many members review about their investment with freebitco.in, maybe I should consider putting some of my bitcoins at the site too since it is way better than keeping in my wallet with 0% interest.

It's not really what I would call an investment option, I think of it more like a current account (or checking account for Americans) that pays interest. The 4.08% per anum is good but you could, for example, get more lending it out at Bitfinex or other exchanges. Where the advantage comes is the low transaction fees. Where the exchanges charge a fixed transaction fee (0.005 at Bitfinex now) Freebitco.in are using dynamic fees. Using the slow withdrawal option if you wait for the mempool to empty it goes as low as 0.00000400 This has saved me quite a large amount since I started using it for day to day transaction that I am in no hurry for. So it's a good option to earn interest on your general usage coin rather than a long-term investment.

6109  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will be 10k in the next 6-10 months! on: October 12, 2017, 11:55:51 AM
For anyone interested in seeing the interview it was on CNBC and I managed to track down a copy embedded halfway down this piece at ZeroHedge.
6110  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin heading over $10000 in six to 10 months on: October 12, 2017, 11:12:33 AM
I was reading news about bitcoins just this morning and many businessmen have predicted that the exchange of bitcoins will rise in six to 10 months time.  As of now, the value goes around 5000 USD and it keeps rising.  The demand of bitcoins has also risen as the supply is.  So the future of bitcoins is bright, however, it is still good to be prudent because it might also collapse at the same time.  So, remember what China did, after their stop  of exchange in bitcoins, big players in the market has taken advantage of its low price because their prediction of the price to go up is certain. Wow, instant profit...

They might be referring to an interview yesterday on CNBC with Michael Novogratz a former principal at investment firm Fortress and an ex-partner at Goldman Sachs. He actually predicted a price of $10,000 in 6 to 10 months. He has been invested a long time and said to have put over $150 million of his own money into crypto. It was a very interesting interview if you can find it anywhere to watch.
6111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will the SEC ever approve a Bitcoin/crypto ETF? on: October 12, 2017, 10:22:33 AM
I am sure the SEC will eventually approve ETFs as the US will be left behind by other countries if they don't. It's already starting to happen. In Sweden, the Nasdaq Stockholm already lists what they call an ETN (Exchange Tradable Note) for BTC and yesterday they announced that they will do the same for ETH.

You can read more about it here on ZeroHedge.

6112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Are ASICs really worth the investment? on: October 12, 2017, 07:49:02 AM
I've made a loss on the miners I bought, unless I correct for raising BTC rates. Which I shouldn't factor in, as buy and hold back them would've made me a LOT more by now Smiley

It's funny looking back on it now. I was checking back through my wallet history recently to see I once bought 4 BTC probably for less than $400 total so I could get some 330MH/s Block Erupters. I think I doubled my fiat at the time and was very happy.... but oh to have kept the BTC.

6113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Are ASICs really worth the investment? on: October 12, 2017, 07:31:37 AM
I'm going to save this quote, as it's a good answer to a lot of recurring questions. Probably you've also got it in a textfile lurking around, right? Wink

Yes, there isn't much more to add to that.
So I'll just say that my personal experience of mining back when ASICS first came out was that I did actually turn a profit. That was based on getting the equipment cheap through group buys on this forum and also then getting a bit lucky. After mining for a while and gradually getting less BTC as the difficulty shot up, then the BTC price rocketed as well. I realised I would get far more selling them on Ebay than I ever could continuing to mine.
But even getting lucky with the timing like that I would have actually made a bigger profit if I had just bought BTC rather than buying the ASICS.
6114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Adding coins to the exchange on: October 12, 2017, 07:12:21 AM
Does anyone know what conditions there are for adding a new coin to existing exchanges?
Is there some information gathered together?
Or the only way is sending requests to each stock exchange?

I believe you have to inquire as each exchange has different requirements. It's much easier to get listed on the lower level exchanges. If you pay a fee you probably just need to prove the coin is viable and free from malware. The higher level exchanges will need to be convinced that there is enough demand to make the extra overhead financially worthwhile for them.
6115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Warning - TenX Bot at Bitrex on: October 11, 2017, 11:28:42 AM
I'm not surprised. There are too many trading bots now. If I'm not wrong they are not forbidden.

No, they're not forbidden. In fact, the exchanges actively encourage them by providing an API. That, of course, is because they are likely to create much more trading volume and commissions than human traders. In comparison to the traditional trading markets, it's still actually a very small part of crypto trading. On Wall St. the big hedge funds pay to colocate their servers in the same computer room as the exchange. So they get to put their orders in before a retail traders order that has latency from their the internet connection. It's something that will come to crypto exchanges eventually.

The Buying process of Bitcoins will have to be made much more simpler than it is at present. All indications point that the process will get more streamlined, so buying bitcoins will be an easy task. Bitcoin is the best one for the future groth and get information. It prices not a stabel it will change.

I believe this one has already been taken care of as I reported another plagiarised post by them and the account has been inactive since.
6117  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: (0 fee transactions) does amount matter when nodes reject tx?! on: October 11, 2017, 09:15:52 AM
as far as i know, the purpose of fees are the following:
1. compensate miners for the work they are doing in case the block reward was small enough that it couldn't cover the cost of mining
2. prevent spam attacks sustainability as we saw multiple times.

Yes, I fully understand the purpose of fees. The priority transactions were for aged coins in single input and output of over 0.01 and only a limited part of the block was set aside for them. Obviously, the 0.01 value would make it far too expensive for anyone to spam the network and the aging prevents the same coin being sent to a from a spammer's own addresses repeatedly.
I was just pointing out the history as an alternative viewpoint on whether Satoshi intended there to be a limited number of free transactions available. I'm of the opinion that he probably did but many people dissagree, that's fine with me, everyone is entitled to an opinion.
6118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Lost 7 BTC | electron cash problem ? on: October 11, 2017, 09:02:44 AM

thanks

Your problem is most likely that you didn't download the Electron wallet from the official website: https://electroncash.org/

There are unfortunately a lot of fishing sites that are likely to install something to steal your coins. It looks like the forum has detected a link to something like that and deleted it from your post.
6119  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: (0 fee transactions) does amount matter when nodes reject tx?! on: October 11, 2017, 07:31:13 AM
Well i believe Bitcoin was never intended to be a zero fee currency. As far as i know, bitcoin transactions were called almost "Free" because of low fees, But i would like to know the technical side of aspect for this 0 fee not getting pushed. In theory we should be able to broadcast it. From which websites have you tried to push this transaction? Try a few of them and see if you get any success.

The Bitcoin network, as originally implemented, specifically set aside part of the block for priority transactions with zero fees to be included. Although I don't claim to have any insight to Satoshi's reasoning for doing that I'd lean towards that he probably wanted zero fees transaction to be available.
6120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you ever won a prize in Freebitco.in Lottery? If yes, how much? on: October 11, 2017, 07:03:10 AM
Owner actually did nice strategical move with lowering ticket price to only 2 satoshi.

Actually, that wasn't strategical, it was automatic as all prizes and prices on the site are fixed in USD terms. As the price of Bitcoin has gone up so the price in BTC of lottery tickets has come down. It's a sign of how successful and popular the lottery is that the BTC prizes on the lottery have remained so high, many more tickets are now getting sold.
