pool.karmacoin.info is as well Now we just need to find a freekin' block. 2000% and counting! Yeah is something not working with the new wallet or what?

If difficulty doesn't drop in the next adjustment, we will consider an update to speed up retargeting
At the current rate it should drop to ~35k from 253k
|
|
|
sounds about right. blocks are about 16-18 hours to confirm at the current rate...

When I try to run benjaminsd on CentOS, it gives me the following error: /usr/lib64/libstdc++.so.6: version `GLIBCXX_3.4.15' not found (required by ./benjaminsd) Any idea on how to fix it? Sounds like you are missing a file. Every coin uses that so if needed you can always replace it from another coin's folder. Did you fix it yet? It also says I am missing "libz.so.1" sometimes. Is it possible for me to have someone just upload those files to mega so that I can copy them into my libraries? these sound like libraries you need to install from centos. google the file and find out what package it belongs to... then install it.

You should really think about faster diff retarget, current block time is too much....if you keep this diff retarget i fear you will end like giftcoin.
+1

Found a block for hasher pool, go us yeah! Seems quite a few coming through now Thanks! Mine your BEN at: http://ben.hasher.ca
|
|
|
Nah they just donated that's what it means
So we get paid when OUR pool finds a block, right? Or ANY pool finds a block. Our pool. Diff is stuck pretty right right now so it takes longer but with less people, you get more bens.

Whats the little stars next to some miners names in pool stats? Do they get more of a share reward? And how do I get a star?
Right, people who set a donation

Yea, I jumped on hasher pool, since they are low on hashrate at the moment, my 8gh isnt much, but it helps Thanks!

Feel free to move to my pool. Though I don't have the power to get a block yet, It will pay and I'm active on here. Mooncoin Hasher Pool: http://moon.hasher.caThanks!

New wallet update, exchanges and sites coming soon...
Thanks for chiming in! Good to hear there are things in the works. Can you add my pool to the OP? http://xnc.hasher.caThanks!

Seems there is at least one major multipool gobbling up xnc. After the diff drop, it's nearly impossible to get any share accepted if your a slower miner since they're finding blocks every 5-10 seconds

Looking for consensus on community takeover of this coin. It's got potential - but it seems the developer is MIA. Yeah, there's a ton of alt coins out there, why save one? Maybe because I need a new cause... Maybe because I think with a little bit of effort, this coin could see some use and popularity, and become something that us 'little guys' can use... I don't want to compete with bitcoin, litecoin, or any of the other coins -- that's a waste of time and energy. What I want to do is put together a SOLID platform this coin can grow from. It seems since the dev disappeared, we still have miners, there is still network activity, and so on. So it's not entirely dead -- and it looks that there are some of us out here that still have a little hope for the coin. Maybe there is appeal because the coin can still be mined by us who don't have multi-thousand dollar mining rigs generating tons of h/ps... Because of the coins horrible difficulty settings (too low to resist mining pools) - there are problems with the client when the big multi-pools come around, and of course not to mention the sheer number of blocks generated when the network HPS gets high... Anyways, I've pooled all my other coin assets into XNC. I'm going to try to round up a couple experienced devs and see what we can get going on the interwebs to help the coin along. Here are some un-organized notes so far: - Checkpoints in the client for the blockchain - it sorely needs them... As well as implementing some of the other upstream updates to the client... Checkpoints first though...
- Production level build environment for the client for downloads (trivial)
- Proper client configuration with stable notes in the bootstrap instead of this crap of managing the config file. Nothing more unprofessional than a client that comes in a ZIP file with no installer, and a text-file with instructions on how to make it work. No reason this can't be resolved.
- Faucet -- they're neat - and given the sheer number of coins already minted, shouldn't be hard to come up with some XNC to feed it...
- Some entertainment - something along the lines of a XNC game server...
- I have some other ideas I'm still kicking around in my head -- so I'll update as I come up with them...
Also looking for suggestions from the little community we still have left on where to go from here -- Thanks for your time and lets get this thing back off the ground. There's no reason that just because the original dev walked away (MIA since sometime in August from what I can tell -- no git updates in months) that those of us with the thousands of coins can't find something useful for them other than dumping for nothing on exchanges... Sounds good. I like mining this coin too and would be nice to be abel to do something with them.

How is it possible for the net hash rate to be soooo high is it because it's a SHA-256 coin so there are ASIC miners? yes, exactly.
