+1, we can't hold them all, every coin get an initial pump, that in the 99% of the cases the next pump won't reach, therefore the best to do is to dump it as a soon as a possible

Hi all,

I just created Debian packages for amd64/i386 of latest github source.
Just add the line

Code:

deb http://repo.freevec.org/repo sid main

And do (as root)

Code:

# apt-get install karmacoin-qt

for the UI client, or

Code:

# apt-get install karmacoind

for the deamon.

It's unsigned for now, but I'll add gpg signature soon. Why should you trust my packages? Well, you shouldn't normally, but for now I assure you that I'm not anonymous, I'm a Debian developer myself, markos@debian.org, gpg key 0x6437124C. I've just created the repo for my own use, but everyone is free to use it as well. For now I only have leafcoin, karmacoin, reddcoin packages, but I'd be open to suggestions as well, I've modified and used the actualy pkg-litecoin packaging already used in the litecoin packages in Debian and intend to follow new releases as much as I can. Right now, I think demand would be low for actual inclusion in Debian, hence the need for the extra repo.

I'll also add powerpc and armhf versions of those packages soon.

why is the difficulty jumping around so heavily. so hard to get a stable income of coins off it.

Hi- that is the reason for the update we put out last night.  We used the same settings as about 15 other coins who have also just implemented the 'Gravity Well' algorithm.  With these settings however the difficulty jumps around, so we changed them last night in our wallet update.  Once you upgrade, you will see a big change in making a stable income starting at block 15700 (around Saturday AM EST)

What happen with Karma, the price is falling down to 2 Satoshi?. Anybody knows the reason why?

i dont know.

imho this needs more work, a few boosters... specially more promotion and initiatives, and also improved design the in main site and better layout and access to information (the main post has these huge red letters urging users to upgrade, and finding the proper link to do so is anything but intuitive).

With 90+ billion coins, and full of people eager to cash out the early millions mined, this needs a solid community to take off. And the first impression has much room for improvement. No matter how cool the concept can be, concept is not enough. Hopefully the efforts in progress will help.

Just my 2 satoshis.

We are working on that as we speak.  We got sidetracked on the gravity well implementations that had to be done quickly because the coin got so popular so quickly.  We have a central team and a team of developers that are working on the new site (as well as a contest to name it which ends tomorrow).  Next week we'll be announcing the new site and community hub.

Thx for the update.

Did you get a chance to find out who is mining this coin? Seems like a large pool or a farm involved that we dont know about.

I agree KARMA can easily hit 10 satoshi

Look at MOONcoin. More coins and trading at like 10 satoshi at was 35 before and they have nothing. Dev who can't even compile the wallet.

I think we need to get the push to get listed on coinedup soon. This is highly profitable coin we can generate more interest in miners so other will follow.

Then after crypsty will be within reach.

Too many dumpers and not enough buyers?   There was an initial "easy mine" period and I am assuming we have to work our way through that initial dumping phase.  The future of this coin, who knows, like any of these new alts, its anyone's guess.   I have loaded up on it and hope that as the value begins to rise I can start helping inside reddit with some tipping and giveaways.

I agree.

This is a very liquid coin. Look at the volume. 69 BTC according to coinmarketcap.com Considering this coin is only listed on minor exchanges. I see big things happening once it hits crypsty. At 3 satoshi can't really go wrong. How much down side it really has?

Downside risk is minimal with huge upside potential.

Well said, kind of a tough time to launch, we are definitely lucky right now to be able to grab these at this price.   As BitCoin rises again people with diversify into Karma and if we can get it to go viral on reddit, would make a world of difference.  It really helps to get into those subreddits and spread the word about Karma.  The 24h Volume is really strong and mixed with a high % gain over the next few days we should see the price go back up.

karmacoin - you cannot get karma just like this - you have to give something, too. (Corrections/Variations welcome!)
