6101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung Launching a Galaxy Note 10 Crypto-Phone Edition: Sources on: September 06, 2019, 11:23:03 PM
As much as I'm positive that this could bring crypto closer to the masses as Samsung garnered the mobile phone industry with Iphone lagging behind I see some drawbacks here:

(1) Your Samsung phone is going to be connected to the internet most of the time, although it has security features, we all know that hackers and cyber criminals are always one step ahead of this game. So there could be vulnerabilities or security loopholes here.

(2) Pretty damn expensive, why not buy a cheap hardware wallet?

(3) Security hole opens a billion Android users to advanced SMS phishing attacks.

6102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What will happen to alts if Bitcoin crashes back to $5000? on: September 06, 2019, 10:53:30 PM
I don't think many alts would recover against Bitcoin if this happens and so they will crash even more. Some solid alts with good liquidity like Litecoin may recover but most won't recover in my opinion. Thoughts? Undecided

If you believed that there is a sort of correlation between Bitcoin and Alts then you might as well say that some altcoins will perished because of this or the top ten coins will be like 90%-98% down again. Ethereum has recovered from $80 to it's current price. So that's a good test to look at again if Bitcoin crashes to $5000, probably Ethereum will be < $80.

However, if you think that investors are going to shift their funds to altcoin, then we might see altcoin market flourish again because of the Bitcoin crash.

So we really can't tell at this point what will be the overall sentiments. We all know that crypto is very volatile and it can change dramatically for the better or worse.
6103  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: BTCDir - Bitcoin Directory on: September 06, 2019, 10:36:06 PM
Do you just want services, or are you interested in sites like my Bitcoin Tunes

I've just added the Bitcoin rap battle to the index page

You can add any website as far as it's related with Bitcoin.  Cheesy
Social -> Entertainment is a suitable place for your site.

Wow, looks very slick man, lots of improvement and I've seen you added SSL already as suggested,  Grin.

Probably just need a few SEO to get your website on the page one of Google.

Question: Do you generate do-follow or no-follow links? I'm just curious. Usually webmasters submit their homepage to directories to generate some link juice that's why I'm asking. Best of luck to your project!!!

Thanks  Grin
It was a pleasure to get feedbacks, so i listen.
The nature of directories are dofollow linking. Mutual linking is not a must but of course premium listing option will always the first selection for me.

No rush for SEO right now because site is very new and i will do it after i get maybe after 100 links.

Let's see how it will go Smiley i have lot of things to do in infrastructure like RSS / Sitemap etc. Nice and slowly...

OK, that's cool. Yeah, probably SEO might take a back seat and just focusing on improvements like the one you mentioned. I'm sure that when you have like 100 listing already,

There's not much competition in this niche If I'm not mistaken. Try to search on this forum and found out one: (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=473460.0). But this is very old, 2014 project and it looks lie it dead already.
6104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: No good projects from a long time on: September 06, 2019, 09:49:48 PM
There had come many ICOs in 2017 and a good number of STOs in 2018 and many IEOs in 2019 but hardly a few have made it to 'relatively better than others' list.
I wonder why haven't there come potential coins like ether. The only project that looked promising to me this year was bittorrent which was lauched on binance launchpad.
But even that is not going so well these days.

Is the world out of ideas or solutions?

One, altcoin market is still in bearish trend, so obviously no project is taking off. Second, investors are wise today compare to 2017, third, market is already saturated with useless and there is nothing unique this 2019. Fourth, probably their are good projects, but by the time it is listed on an exchange, bounty hunters, angel investors are taking profits already. So the pump-and-dump are still alive in 2019, it was evident in 2017 but it wasn't a big issue then because everyone is on the bull ride.
6105  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: New FATF guidelines require professional crypto consultation on: September 06, 2019, 09:38:46 PM
As far as I know it was just a recommendation, so it's not binding per se. However, member countries can implement this guidelines across as this is a international cooperation between countries, so their is implications to us, crypto enthusiast because it will really go against the basic tenets of crypto - decentralization and (psuedo) anonymity. In practice though, it could be good as crypto is really changing very fast and government around the world need to put  regulatory framework so that we won't see abuse here.

6107  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: September 06, 2019, 08:38:22 PM
I watched the Federer match up to the start of the 4th set as I had to go out and do some things. At the time I thought that Federer had the match won but when I got back home I saw that he lost. Like I said in a previous post, Dimitrov has been playing some good tennis this tournament and it wouldn't surprise me to see him win which he did and it was his first win over Federer which made it even more special for him. The question is now, will Federer retire while he is still at the top or will he go on one more year which could see him drop down the rankings, it will be a tough decision for him at the end of the year.

Same here, I thought that Federer got this one, however, Dmitrov was having a good tennis in the 5th five and took the lead and it was too late before Federer got some answers. I hope we was able to tie it but Dmitrov was responding to the pressure.

Now we have one veteran left in Nadal with all the up and comers around him as Matteo Berrettini just won his match against Monfils in a five set epic.

Monfils vs Berrettini was a classic five set match. I got a feeling that we will see someone new raising the trophy this year. But Nadal is just too good or just got a lucky draw that's why he is still the last man standing amongst the big 3.

Yeah Nadal and Dmitrov are the last two of the older players, I just wonder could we see a final between the two young talent? Matteo Berrettini has had a good tournament however he hasn't played anyone who was seeded where as Medvedev has so Nadal will be a big test for Berrettini and we'll see how good he is when playing a top player. Its going to be an interesting end to this years US Open, even on the Women's side.

Yes, who would have thought that this year's US Open will be like this? Medvedev vs Dmitrov has just started the first set, just some feeling the moments now,  2-2 but I'm sure this will turn out to be exciting and I"m looking for a five set thriller. I think Nadal will be the favorite over Berrettini here, Rafa is also playing superb and as least still not push to his limits in this tournament and has a lot of gas in his tank.

It's gonna be Serena Williams vs Bianca Andreescu on the womens side for the title for this year.
6108  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency users statistics on: September 05, 2019, 10:31:07 PM
As far as we know, some states have their own laws regarding cryptocurrency and its legalization.  Since today the United States is fighting crime and terrorism, they are looking for sources of income for attackers.  That is why the government wants to see the sources of income of each person and what financial flows exist in the state in order to prevent the financing of crime.

They have been fighting crimes for more than a decade now and it's unfair for crypto to be a target. Although criminals are using bitcoin or crypto in general, governments are really hot on its tail so sooner or later they will crack those addresses and find the footprints of those people who are behind. But on the other hand, there are friendly governments around the world as well, who despite all the criticism on crypto, they learn to embrace it at any angle.
6109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: My opinion about dumps caused by bounty participants. on: September 05, 2019, 09:20:16 PM
Many people do not understand offer and demand, how it really works.
If all bounty hunters would like to sell all their tokens (2% of total supply) it is a huge selling pressure. If there are not enough buyers, price is going down until encounters buy orders. And as you can guess, noone wants to buy ICO coins just after the ICO sale because those who wanted buy, they already bought. Smiley
Your point of view?  Cool

I think you under estimate investors here. I mean they know everything about bounty hunters selling right after the coins is listed on an exchange. Others bought when dumping are done and then hold. But the problem with that strategy is that we are in the bear market and people are not that stupid. And for those who bought prior, I'm sure they will also join the dumping spree here because they wanted to get their profit so that they can reshuffle their funds around, no holding for now in altcoin market.
6110  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading strategy for trading bot on: September 05, 2019, 09:00:07 PM
My bot is capable of buying or selling at anytime. However, I need ideias for strategies on when to buy/sell and for how much, so that I can make a profit. My Intention is to program the bot to look for those profit opportunities and take the according action.

Depends on your target, majority might be looking at 5%-10% profit depending on their capital, while others look for much bigger profit. Are you doing day trading if I may ask.

My doubt lies on the economics of deciding when to buy/sell!

Again this subject is debatable. And no one can give you the exact answers for you. Why don't you target  just small percentage in the beginning and try to experience. I'm sure as you go along and gain experience, you will get a feel on the "right economics" for you.
6111  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cheating Players By A Cryptocurrency Website CRYPTOGAMES.NET on: September 05, 2019, 08:43:45 PM
I am a regular player of a Cryptocurrency Dice game site CRYPTOGAMES.NET . But tomorrow when I was trying to login info my account, the system says that " Your account is blocked." I have 1.143 LITECOIN in that account.
When I contact support to activate my account it says " you use multiple accounts. So your account has blocked and you loss your fund."
But I have never use more then One account.
Please make a voice against this Cryptocurrency Dice game site to get my fund back.
Please help me.

Do you have screenshots of your conversation?

How can you be so sure that you don't used multiple accounts?

Scam Accusations board is a good start to attract your issues, but if you don't have any evidence that indeed CRYPTOGAMES.NET stole your funds then nothing we can do about it.

We have seen accusations after accusations here but at the end of the day, they can't provide any proof while on-line crypto websites have the evidence like ip address linking the accuser to many accounts.
6112  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for poker players on: September 05, 2019, 08:20:59 PM
We have a gambling board here:

So I suggest that you created on topic there and see how it goes. Although most topics are about sports betting, but I'm sure you can find a lot of good pokers around that board and maybe someone will be interested (if your offer is good) to join early as testers on your platform. Best of luck to you!!!.
6113  Economy / Exchanges / Re: OKEx 24,000 BTC Move - Hack or Maintenance on: September 05, 2019, 08:05:13 PM
OKEx is an exchange right? So why would anyone be surprised if we see some huge movement?  You can follow everything here,

OKEx, Huobi and Binance was moving tons of crypto's like every 3 hours so unlikely that this is a hacked, just the usual thingy top exchanges are doing today. Shifting their funds to wallets that are secure and safe. Nothing to be alarm here.
6114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vitalik Buterin is ‘Very Confident’ About Ethereum 2.0 Launching Phase on: September 05, 2019, 07:33:16 PM
Basically this upgrade may spike a good momentum in the breaking of the over due silent Bitcoin has kept the altcoins since it superb dorminance. With this ETH 2.0 many issues which has been slowing the project down will be address. With this my hope of the altcoins coming back to live is visible come 2020.

ETH 2.0 could be the catalyst that we all have been waiting for. It is rescheduled 2020, and prior to the bitcoin block halvening. So there's a chance that before that to happen, ETH will also surge and the timing is going to be perfect for the altcoin market as well to make a bull run coincide with the Bitcoin as well. Although the move is also critical and controversial, (moving to POS consensus), I think this could be the only thing that Vitalik could do at this point 're-create' ETH itself. And after 4 years in the making, it is long overdue, IMHO.

6116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you use crypto? on: September 03, 2019, 07:20:33 PM
I really do agree on your points here. However, specially in the case of Bitcoin, it has become a speculative asset and as such it is being used to trade=buy/sell to make money similar to a stocks. Also there is this thing could HODL school of thoughts. The belief that through stashing more coins and just do nothing but let it sit in your wallet you will profit in the end. As for your questions, I do used my crypto as much as I can but also I have some save in my wallet. So I guess it really boils down to individual liking or desire. And you can't really blame them, because this is open and free market.
6117  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Removal of signature before end of the campaign shouldn't cause disqualification on: September 03, 2019, 06:53:39 PM
There is a same rule in all of signature campaigns
"You must keep the signature till end of the campaign"

That is the rule in the first place, if you don't want to follow it then stay away with that campaign, simply as that.

In my opinion it's really unfair.
Assume that a campaign includes 20 weeks. One person participate from week 1 until week 10 and makes effort for advertising the ICO. But he/she decided to participate in another campaign. In this case, bounty managers remove all the stakes that have been earned before. Don't you think it's unfair? In my opinion, he/she should give the reward for those weeks that had worn the signature.

Again, there are rules in joining a bounty campaign, that's why we have this rule. Some managers though are very lenient, if you PM them in advance then probably you can still get your stakes. Others have a 4 week rule, you need to stay at least 4 weeks before you can get your bounty. So I don't think it's unfair, why are you leaving the campaign in the first place?  If your remove the signature prior to the end of the campaign then you forfeit everything here.
The reason? They do leave because they do see much better gold mine that on the previous one. Most bounty hunters doesn't read up rules on the first place that's why
when they don't able to get stakes they do normally complain and not even realizing that they are the ones whose wrong into this situation. Its been clearly stated that you wont get any stakes if you leave out the campaign but there are some managers that do consider out on giving stakes even if you do leave. Its just a matter of explanation or some sort of negotitiation between participants and the manager. They aren't that hard to convince if you do really need to transfer from other bounties.Just explain everything and if they do consider it out then your lucky but if not then you should call it a day.

That is exactly my point, they find something new with supposedly "good" pay, removed their signatures without any explanation to the previous manager and then they expect something in return? That's not how a business run here, if you don't read the rules of the campaign then I'm so sorry bounty hunters are at fault here and there's no need to bitch around and complain that they have been short changes here. And obviously if the previous manager saw that you remove the signature when counting the previous weeks stakes and seeing that you didn't even bother to PM him/her then I don't see you getting the stakes unless you are lucky, but rules is rules, IMHO.
6118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Spence Jr vs Porter on: September 03, 2019, 06:33:18 PM
In their one on one interview, Spence accused Porter of being a dirty fighter and that's in his face and in return Porter promises he will cut Spence face, this is going to be excited I thought these two fighters are good friends, it turn out they don't like each other at all

Here's the video of that one on one interview https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SP3IEc3pHIo

But I'm picking Spence over Porter he is good with his job and moves and he has success against a little guy, one example is Spence's last fight against Mikey Garcia.

I guess at the end of the day they can still be friends. That's how Porter fights though, he gets over his opponent by using lots of "dirty" tactics but I'm sure Spence will be ready for it. So yes, Spence is the favourite because he has all the tools, specially his height, he is too big for a welterweight that's why he dominated with his superior wing spans and it's hard to get inside of him. So it will be interesting how Porter can go inside without being punished by Spence. Garcia though is just a ballooned 147 lbs it was a total mismatch. But Porter is a natural welter, big and strong so let's see how he is going to bully Spence here.
6119  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: time to change BTC to ETH? on: September 03, 2019, 05:34:55 PM
Isn't it the best time to buy Ethereum is around $80? And so far we haven't seen a good bounce although is reaches almost $300 if I'm not mistaken. But to change BTC to ETH? I don't think so, Bitcoin is really doing good, obviously by looking at it's market dominance right now. Altcoin is suffering including Ethereum so I just won't do the dumbest move to move my Bitcoin to Ethereum. I'm not saying that Ethereum is a bad investment, but it will take too long to see a good recovery and it has to have a good news like ETH 2.0 or something to really bring the hype again.
6120  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Calm Before The Storm on: September 03, 2019, 04:43:47 PM
Burger King’s payment is available in Germany through Bitpay, either in BTC or BCH.

~ snip ~

I figure Burger King themselves will choose receive their payment settlements in fiat, and not in crypto.

Right, so this is not P2P as everyone as expected, a middleman is still needed in this case, Bitpay - the largest bitcoin payment processor. But we have to understand that this is Germany wherein Bitcoin adopted is really huge so no surprise here. But regarding mass adoption? We still have a long way to go, perhaps LN could help us achieved that so we will have to wait a big and see how it goes.
