6121  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading experience felt different on: February 18, 2019, 07:00:41 AM
There are so many good and trustworthy exchanges where you can trade your coins and be fairly safe doing so, anyways stick with the one you've found if the offer all advantages you require.
Also your post can be deleted if they are off-topic or when you post them on boards they do no fit in, that is why the forum has different sections
6122  Other / Off-topic / Re: Is it time to make bitcointalk.org great again? on: February 18, 2019, 06:45:53 AM
How can shilling out obvious facts make the community great again?
There are so many things that need to be put right and one is the urge to start new topics, even when rightly so, there is no need for them.
If you're going to be making new posts, make sure it's a new idea or suggestion.
6123  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Lots of Newbie Accounts Created! on: February 18, 2019, 06:30:52 AM
Except if they are advertising phshing links or fake products as well as offering scam services, then they are doing something wrong and should be reported for action to be taken.
But in the wider perspective, everyone is allowed to advertise on the forum as long as such advertisements are made in the proper section and are legit.
But newbies advertising is a strange one,you can't just come to the forum with the sole purpose of promoting a particular website, its bad to say the least
6124  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you know how hackers are collecting our data by smartphone & real life? on: February 17, 2019, 06:32:25 PM
I don't think how hackers get any info just in that way. I think they can get our email because can see it on bounty spreadsheet.
I haven't come across any spreadsheet that displays it's hunters email, they always treat emails delicately which should be so, if there are such bounties, then it's crazy to be on them.
Emails are private and as such should be treated that way and thats what most bounty managers I've come across do
6125  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum "Attempt to read past end of buffer" Error on: February 16, 2019, 07:24:22 AM
It's obvious you're using the most updated version, and you should be having any issues such as this except probably the fault is from your own end as regards the transaction you're trying to complete, maybe a detailed explanation will help us decide what the actual error is and modes of solving it in the best way possible
6126  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: WARNING! Don't even think about crypto investments until you read this! on: February 16, 2019, 07:16:46 AM
Life itself is a risk, and any legal or legit investment has a risk tag associated with it,you lost money investing in cryptocurrency, some lost them investing via forex, others via stocks etc, it's inevitable.
But also a while lot of others have gained through the various means I highlighted above, its about doing the right thing through investing with small money,so that in case of losses,it wouldn't be one that'll wreck you.
It's about either profit or loss, its not a one way affair, those coming in,should be aware of that
6127  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Definition of some short Abbreviations used on forum. Everyone should know; on: February 16, 2019, 07:04:50 AM
Are these dedicated to this forum, or are you used to using it like this?
Many of the abbreviations on the OP are/can be used in other social media chats and forums, abbs such as lol, ffs, brb, smh etc
But there are so many abbreviations that originated from the forum, and are 90 percent used only only the forum as they are peculiar to it,abbs such as hodl, fomo, whale,Ico,Op,Hq etc
Get yourself acquainted with most of the forum abbreviations,so you wouldn't be "lost" when others use them
6128  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Must have web browser addons to keep you a step safer from phishing on: February 16, 2019, 06:49:16 AM
I would certainly be considering checking the code out for yourself before recommending it to others.
When giving out tips based on security, its always very necessary to be a 100% sure of the website, product, service etc, thats not to say people shouldn't or wouldn't do their own research before taking in someone else's advice, recommendations, suggestions etc, but for the 1% that wouldn't,its good to be sure to a reasonable extent the advice being given out.
6129  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is Quality post really ? on: February 16, 2019, 06:18:59 AM
Making quality posts has stood in the way of many,in earning merits for quite a long time being on the forum, and the issue remains their posts lack the quality and content to be called a quality one and hence to be rewarded with merits
And just as OP has rightly pointed out basic factors that makes a good posts, more work on each of the points and definitely one would be earning merits frequently.
Quality posts are simply posts with useful and worthy contents

6130  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is your take on crypto robots? on: February 16, 2019, 06:09:48 AM
If you're under the illusion that trading bots makes it safe for you to trade, with somewhat large percent of possible success, then think again, all this bots does into make trading less stressful by inputing all your strategies in them an allowing them trade for you using the inputs you fed them with.
It's as risky as trading yourself, even more risky except of course if stop loss is implemented, its always advisable to trade yourself,as most bots are scam and illicit
6131  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to Earn Cryptocurrencies free on: February 15, 2019, 08:12:30 PM
Surely no faucets would still be open at this late stage? lol
You could probably earn from faucets at this period, but it would be worth absolutely nothing, and with the amount of effort and time put into it,it will be regarded as a futile effort.
It was back in time when faucets were a little bit profitable, but with the development to the system, earning free bitcoins is now not so much easy except tiny bits of them.
6132  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum over take ripple again in market capitalization! on: February 13, 2019, 12:48:53 PM
Ethereum place in the cryptocurrency market is in second place, and it has held that position for quite some time now, though for a while now ripple has taken that spot for a short period of time, amd I think that will continue as ripple are really pushing hard and developing their coin greatly.
But for now ethereum's place is in second spot, the demand for the ethereum is quite higher and it's at the moment a better investment opportunity than ripple for now
6133  Economy / Economics / Re: The Factors of Demand and supply on: February 11, 2019, 05:52:12 PM
Demand and Supply are the factors a sense in the market, the volume of a fundamental role and the great information, besides that the market is handled by means of emotions.
This emotions are actually disadvantageous to the market and should not be allowed to thrive in it,when traders bring in such emotions into trading, they tend to be irrational and cause price manipulations based on the idea they feel is correct based in their emotions/thoughts.
Trading should be free of emotions, and definitely the higher the demand or the supply, the better for the cryptocurrency market in general
6134  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the most problem facing in the market? on: February 11, 2019, 05:47:02 PM
Price manipulation is one pressing issue in the system at the moment,as whales try to set up false trades all in their favor, this results in larger harm for the larger public,i think with lesser manipulation the market will be better off
Another issue is inadequate knowledge of the market, making wrong steps in crypto is very easy to do especially with a lack of knowledge, studying before investing should be the right way to go
Also investing without a working strategy is another major problem that traders need to address or else they'll continue to incur losses
6135  Economy / Economics / Re: Is small business ready to sell for cryptocurrency? on: February 11, 2019, 05:40:54 PM
Both small and large enterprises will all be skeptical about accepting bitcoins due to instability and various restrictions, that is why adoption is very important in the cryptocurrency market, with more adoption cryptocurrency will spread for and wide and be legal in more countries as well
And on the issue of instability which leads to volatility,it has remained a pressing issue that has dissuaded small and large enterprises from fully giving in to the bitcoin
6136  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin prices will continue to fall on: February 11, 2019, 05:33:25 PM
Do not believe all the analyst, because none of them certainly have an accurate opinion.
The only correct decision today is to buy because 3000 dollars for bitcoin today is very little money. Yes the price may drop even lower but you will never be able to find the perfect point to enter the market. So invest today to make a profit tomorrow.
You may be correct in your analysis, but it's not actually as easy as you say, buying at a reduced price could be a wise decision to make but it's not an easy one, buying it investing in a coin who's value is falling and with mess demand is actually a difficult decision to take.
In as much as this may be the best tune to invest,i will still advice new traders to take quite a while to study the market for any improvements before investing yet so as not to regret it later
6137  Economy / Economics / Re: Is anybody tracking lost bitcoins? on: February 11, 2019, 05:29:42 PM
Collecting information on lost bitcoins isn't actually an easy task and it's almost impossible for it to be a large percent correct as not everyone actually records their bitcoins which got stolen, many bitcoin have been lost without any trace and so it's impossible to track.
This information to me isn't helpful,i wonder what you need them for
6138  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you define Risk Management with trading cryptocurrency? on: February 11, 2019, 04:07:21 PM
There are many risk management techniques that can be applicable when trading, but in my opinion, the most effective and easiest to implement is investing with a little amount of money,as a beginner in trading, always invest with your spare/little money you know you really can afford to lose,as trading is unpredictable and anything is possible
6139  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Meet Than and Then on: February 11, 2019, 03:53:35 PM
This is a very nice topic on the difference between the two words and in context were they should/can be used and in situations when they are correct or wrong
But i do not think there is actually a large number of members mixing the both words up,this(both of'em) are easily understood words with distinct meanings attached to the both of'em.
But it's a nice topic and it was an interesting read I must confess, really educative and enriching
6140  Other / Off-topic / Re: Help buying gpus on facebook on: February 11, 2019, 03:41:41 PM
I'm not age restricted, do you think its because my account is new?
This seems the most sensible answer, probably because your account is new, there maybe certain restrictions which will be bypassed as time goes on,just give it some time or make more enquiries about it.
The same restriction can be said to be synonymous with that of the forums,in terms of minutes between posting.
This is probably an issue of new account restrictions
