6121  Economy / Economics / Re: JP Morgan buys Bitcoin (after Dimon crashed the market) on: October 19, 2017, 08:05:46 AM
Jamie has already turned back on many of his promises. He started by stating that Bitcoin is a fraud. Then changed that to Bitcoin's underlying technology (blockchain) might be actually useful. Next he said that he'll never talk about BTC again, and the next day, he starts talking about BTC again saying how useless it is (since it's not backed by a legal institution/government). In my opinion the  man has no idea of what he's talking about. He might be good in finance, but he's old, and out of touch regarding technological evolutions. Stay at what you're good at Jam
This is the thing many of us predicted that he will be attracted toward bitcoin as he will know about its advantages and that time has come he knew that he cannot turn things against bitcoin because bitcoin is name of faith and believe so he just started into bitcoin so that he can also get benefits as other are enjoying and on behalf of this he must apologize the bitcoin community.

Jamie Dimon is just a man who loves some attention thrown into him and he did it by issuing controversial statements which the mainstream can immediately cover more so because Bitcoin is still new and they know that in covering the news anything novel can be get more views from the public's curiosity. However, after what happened in September the Bitcoin market and community is not anymore interested with anything he has to say or anybody from the financial sector attacking Bitcoin as they are just saying something in common like a choir in chorus.
6122  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Growing transaction volume in the Philippines on: October 19, 2017, 07:31:09 AM
This is one of the noises in my local crypto group. People are talking about it: how the Philippine Central Bank is actually supporting Bitcoin. A local media network covered an interview in English. Here: https://youtu.be/7g-Y541EyhI

The Philippines government is following the example set by Japan in terms of treating Bitcoin and the cryptocurrency industry in general. I am sure that the Philippines' Central Bank see something which countries like China and Russia seem to be afraid of. The Filipinos are known to be hospitable and loving people that's why they receive Bitcoin with all humility and many Filipinos already love Bitcoin all the way.
6123  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I Invest On Bitcoin Before Upcoming Hard Fork? on: October 19, 2017, 07:14:20 AM
Hi everyone, I have booked 1k profit from bitcoin with my small investment. Yesterday price fall made me to sell bitcoin and now the price is much more and it recovers it's position, do you think it will go up or down before, on or after hard fork?

To be honest, only time can tell whether Bitcoin can go up or down as the hard fork becomes imminent. Now, based on the last fork it tend to go up as the time is nearing all because all the FUDS were already discounted and got rendered to be worthless by the market. I am not sure but maybe the same thing can happen. So if I were you since you got the money you better buy some Bitcoin before the fork so you can also be given BitcoinGold.
6124  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wallet is the weakest link? on: October 19, 2017, 07:10:57 AM
For non-technical holders of BTC (i.e. the mass of the BTC population), the risk of inanonymity and centralisation still there: as they have to entirely rely on their wallet providers? If such wallet providers are hacked or meddled with their users, the users won't have anyway to protect themselves or anyone to make a claim on? Their fund in BTC is entire at the mercy of the wallets? How you think BTC would work for the ordinary people in the future to replace their current existing financial assets and management with fiat currencies?

There will always be risks in anything we do and even the things we don't do so cryptocurrency is not exempted on that premise. Now, as to cryptocurrency, most of the victims are people who are still new to the game or those who did not spend time to learn more on how to protect their assets. There are many choices we can use to minimize those risks. As long as we are online, these risks can not be totally eliminated as even big companies who spent money millions on their firewall and security can still be victims of hacking. Sometimes we can be at the mercy of these hackers and scammers.
6125  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]: 🔵 OPEN MONEY 🔵 Get Access to Our Exclusive Pre-Sale on: October 19, 2017, 07:06:47 AM
What exchange prefer open money in future?Best one or start with low first?

The best is to start with smaller exchanges like HitBTC, Livecoin, ... Build up the volume, build up the price. The more bigger exchanges will only list if they see volume because they are making money on the fees. The more volume, the more transactions, the more fees Smiley.

But I think they don't need to be worried about exchanges. That will be covered by the dev team or core members of the project. Now its time to focus on the upcoming ICO! The ICO we all are waiting for... waiting for a date Smiley

That is true. HitBTC can be the decent exchange to start with and then when the volume of trading is growing it would be easier to attract the nod of bigger exchanges and maybe ultimately OpenMoney can be able to convince Bittrex or Poloneix to pick up it up too. A successful ICO could lead to a successful entrance into the exchanges and with the support of a good community the token can be stable and resilient especially from possible dumping.

Hey everyone,

Today we are looking to get people on board and writing about our project.

We've set aside a nice juicy part of our bounty program for this, but we need to give it a big push.

Can you write a blog post about Open Money?
Can you create an original video?
Are you on Medium? Steemit?

Whatever the style of content you feel comfortable creating - we want you on board!

Here's a link to submit your finished pieces of content:

http://go.openmoney.digital/l4oz

I have an account in both Medium and Steemit...do you have a minimum of followers required in both publishing sites? You actually made my appetite wet for writing something about OpenMoney...let's see if I really have what it takes to be a good writer/blogger.
6127  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in the Philippines uproar on: October 18, 2017, 03:43:06 AM
Most of the users from signature campaigns are from Phillipines, and i dont have nothing agains them, but most of them only create accounts and they farm them in order to spam the signature campaigns to earn more money.
And i have seen this so many times, because i am active in the Meta Section on the forum, and all those who are on SMAS are from phillipines.

Yes, basically Speaking. Moderators know The Reality, That There are Filipino's That is So Very Greedy, in earning Bitcoin.
A good Thing About Filipino is That They are Really Striving To Get What They Want Which is Good.
But, Sometimes They Make Unusual Things Just To Get what They Want But Not In A Fair Way.

Talking About SMAS, I have seen it Too. Many Are From Philippines.

But, in Other Story, Bitcoin is Really Uprising into The Philippines. Which i know That is Supported by It's Government.

Well, Filipinos are really good that is why you can find them anywhere in the world as they love to get abroad to find employment. As far as the industry of BPO is concerned, the Philippines is now following India and there is a potential that Philippines can soon take over the industry if not for the fact that those in India are really good in making software and programs.

Filipinos are excellent communicators as they can talk in good English (sometimes much better than an average American), they can write in good English too (definitely miles ahead than the rest of Asia) and these people are known to be very hospitable which many outsourcing employers love.

Now, they are talking advantage of the opportunity offered by the internet and cryptocurrency. With a government that is very supportive of their endeavors, soon we might be seeing new crypto-related programs coming from the Philippines.

Bitcoin is alive and well in the Philippines and hopefully in the rest of the countries comprising the ASEAN grouping.
6128  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee: Bankers like JPMorgan's Jamie Dimon Are Scared of Bitcoin on: October 18, 2017, 03:29:28 AM
"How can you ban something which is distributed?" McAfee said. It is impossible. "In the 1930s they once tried to ban alcohol in America but we consumed more alcohol. This ban is simply not going to work." That's just awesome, I like this guy!

In America, the government has had the history of accepting something if it will not really go away even spending so much effort and money. The one mentioned here is the alcohol ban but the latest for this is the recent legalization of marijuana even for entertainment purposes and not anymore limited to the medical side.

Heck, there are even many marijuana-related projects supporting and using the blockchain technology. Rather than spending money to put up a hopeless fight, the government decided to open the floodgate and make big tax revenues instead. This can a win-win situation for both those who insist to use the marijuana and the government who can be cash-strapped.

It would be the same with Bitcoin though in USA Bitcoin is not actually banned and people are given enough leeway to buy and sell Bitcoin. The big issue is with ICOs which can be considered as issuing securities based on the Howey Test.
6129  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Spreading Bitcoin on: October 18, 2017, 02:41:43 AM
What about cyber cafe's? Most of the owner of cyber cafe dont know about bitcoins...if we can convince them about bitcoins then the popularity of bitcoins can be doubled..what's ur opinion?

I admire your intention of making Bitcoin really get popular especially with merchants so they would be accepting Bitcoin as one of the many mode of payments available in their shops. Yes, it is a good idea so the next time around you are in a cafe try to talk to the owner or manager and suggest that they take Bitcoin just like the many merchants who already did. And since a cafe can be a high traffic location, the exposure for Bitcoin is enhanced. Then sooner or later Bitcoin would really be going mainstream.

And when it is already mainstream, we would have people like Jamie Dimon who will issue so many warnings that Bitcoin is about to defraud people and is about to pop just like a balloon full of nothing but air. Countries all around the world that are not in love with Bitcoin would then issue advisory for their citizens not to get involved with the biggest scam of all time while many people are already smiling and even laughing because they are experiencing the great life brought on by Bitcoin.

What an idea! What a life!
6130  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2017-10-17] Bitcoin Millionaire Erik Finman Challenges Jamie Dimon to a Boxing on: October 18, 2017, 02:09:32 AM
Quote
...it’s pretty ironic a Wall Street type who is accused of so many financial crimes is calling bitcoin a “fraud.”

And I fully agree. Mr. Jamie Dimon got the gallstones and hard face to call Bitcoin as a fraud when in fact he and his cohorts were the very reason why Bitcoin came into being in the first place. He is more of a fraud and a scam much bigger than Bitcoin. The only thing that separate Dimon and the prison wall is the government who bailed them in the height of the financial crisis in 2007-2008.

Now, I hope that Jamie would accept the challenge of Erik...Jamie vs. Erik am sure who will win.
6131  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why some country still not legalized bitcoin ? on: October 18, 2017, 01:47:03 AM
I seen some big country started to legalized bitcoin like japan, but i seen some country was ban bitcoin too just like what i hear about south korean and issues about russian will ban bitcoin in next month.
But why they ban bitcoin and some country still not make bitcoin legal in that country ?

Well, it is just a matter of choice. One country can see cryptocurrency as an opportunity to utilize for their own economic or financial interest while another county may view it as a big threat to their economy and the financial control they are traditionally utilizing. In other words, we all have differences and since the state has the sovereign power we could not do anything if a country would choose to ban the selling/buying of Bitcoin within their jurisdiction. Technically, though, they could not touch Bitcoin.
6132  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Putin going to run his own ICO? on: October 18, 2017, 01:41:59 AM
Putin Orders the Issue of Russia’s National Cryptocurrency – the Cryptoruble, lmfao this sounds just wrong to me.
They have cloned facebook, now it's bitcoins turn ... i can just lol

This is just the digital version actually of their national currency nothing more nothing less. And this can actually be a trend for many months to come until they would realize of the foolishness of such a decision. The big reason why we have cryptocurrency is to get away from the control and biases of the governments to do whatever they want to do at the expense of the people. When you have a cryptocurrency controlled by the government this can be a big joke and will end end as a mediocre attempt.

Will Putin hold an ICO for his new altcoin? That is not necessary since the government has the money. Instead they would just open it up for people who want to exchange their ruble to Cryptoruble.

Good luck, Putin!
6133  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]: 🔵 OPEN MONEY 🔵 Get Access to Our Exclusive Pre-Sale on: October 18, 2017, 01:30:08 AM
More area to use cryptos in life causes more people to buy cryptocurrencies. As a result of that, it can bring more than 1 trillion dollar market cap to all cryptocurrencies. It is not an unlikely thing to expect.

I wish so much you were right. Because now seeing all this dump at the market just because everyone is exchanging altcoins to bitcoin in order to get bitcoin gold, makes me think that people don't care about technology and the idea behind the blockchain startup at all, the only thing they really worry about is profit, not less not more...

We could not deny that all of us are actually motivated by profit and there are so many coins who are not worth a dime when it comes to what they are offering. This is actually the big challenge for OpenMoney to show what they got so that buyers of the tokens would be hodlers rather than dumpers. We have to show people the value inherent in OpenMoney and the possible good future awaiting for all of us here. This is the reason why building a solid and loyal community is very much imperative for any program to stay successful and not just a flash in the pan.
6134  Economy / Speculation / Re: The path to 1M, Gov's forced to adopt BTC to prove soverign risk on: October 17, 2017, 10:44:03 AM
I like this idea but I doubt if nations would be adopting Bitcoin this way. There are so many factors that we have to consider first before replacing the reserve system and I don't think that countries will surrender their sovereignty to Bitcoin. However, Bitcoin as the best alternative currency can be possible. Now, this can take years before Bitcoin can reach the real mainstream and there are still so many humps and bumps that we have to experience first. I am a firm believer in the future of Bitcoin though.
6135  Economy / Speculation / Re: CNBC Audience Predicts $10k Bitcoin Price as Dotcom Says ‘Hodl’ on: October 17, 2017, 10:12:07 AM

Jamie wants to believe that bitcoin is bubble and has no future.Reality can be different than predicitions. I saw some funny photos about Jamie Dimon on twitter regarding his latest speech Grin

Many people are now laughing at Jamie Dimon most especially when he could not really hold himself by breaking his promise not to talk about Bitcoin anymore. He is now the laughingstock even with people who belong to the very industry he is in but who disagree with his assessment on Bitcoin.
6136  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin being regulated in a country. on: October 17, 2017, 09:47:47 AM
Being that the government have no control over cryptocurrencies as they are fully decentralized, can bitcoin be regulated in a country?

Yes, of course, any country using its sovereign power can regulate the buying, selling and all Bitcoin-related activities happening within the jurisdiction of that country. Technically, they can't do it against Bitcoin so authorities are doing it with activities pertaining to Bitcoin. As what happened in China, they banned Bitcoin exchanges.
6137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Nobel-winning economist Shiller calls bitcoin a fad on: October 17, 2017, 09:39:27 AM
Old school economists, especially those following Keynesian economics have a real hard time understanding it. Especially people who probably dont take the time to understand it. I could list 10 brilliant people who think its stupid simply because they have had it explained to them poorly.

We have to leave these people with their own way of thinking and give them the right to be backward. I am not saying that cryptocurrency especially Bitcoin is really perfect but it is already considered to be something revolutionary...and even those who hate Bitcoin actually love the blockchain technology. We are in a free marketplace and everybody has option to be a part of Bitcoin or not. As to predicting what can be, nobody can be sure of what can be so those predictions are just also speculations.
6138  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Exchange Bittrex began to block accounts!!! on: October 17, 2017, 09:26:47 AM
Bittrex is one of the top exchanges we have and it has a good reputation ever since...it would be sad if they would do something without full explanation of their moves. Customers deserve explanations at all times and they don't deserve to get shocked any time.

Open Money has a team —  started by app developers who have built successful gaming companies — uniquely positioned to solve for a major problem which no one else is solving.

The team is considered to be the most critical component of any project...sometimes even more important than the concept because there are concepts which are not really great but with a good team success is still assured. With OpenMoney we have a god team as well as a very good concept.

I have not tried writing an article to be published in sites like Medium or Steemit...how many words should be the minimum and what about the quality of the work? Maybe I should expand my horizon (or most probably wings) in bounty promotion by creating materials good for publishing.
