10k will take over fiat. In ten months you will not use dollars for anything. Grocery stores will accept 10k only. Once that is complete, all government subsidies will then be paid in 10k, for every country. I expect that to take about 14 months, though |

Just a quick side-note for those guys mining at Suprnova, the cronjob(s) are currently at around Block 9500 while the Blockchain is already at Block 18000... it will take approx 1 hour until the cronjobs have cached up but as blocks are still flying through, the lag will probably even get bigger so you'll have to wait until the crons cached up again. Its just a matter of time and there is not much I can do  Don't worry about it. Everyone knows you will send out what people are owed. Thanks again |

Guys you seriously need to spread the hash around - the diff is still so low that probably solomining is still the best idea, there is no way that the pool can keep up with this fast block times, were still finding several blocks per second - the cronjobs are already hanging late about 10 minutes and lag is still rising.
I'm seriously thinking about shutting the pool and firing it up later on again - its just not working like this

Significant changes in the 10k Version 2.0.2 Hard Fork:I've heard your concerns. It's inflating too fast, we know. I have an idea to slow it down significantly while still giving the huge lottery bonus and keeping the 10k name intact! Changes to Stake Rate- Stake rewards start fluctuating at Block 360,000
- There will be ninety blocks at 10% Stake Rate
- Following those will be 10 blocks at 10,000%
- These waves will happen every 50 minutes
Basically, every (almost) hour there is a lottery with 10 winners who win 10,000% stake rate for that block, while the other 90 will be at 10%. What is this?
Put simply, I've had a lot of requests to do something with Nxt and until now I never really had a reason to. wouldn't this disrupt your attempts to sell staking hardward? If you can stake without needed to have your client open what's the point of the hardware? Also, version 3 is so different it will have a whole new name and its own selling points  |

How do I stake from the command-line in Linux? I've compiled it and it's running in daemon mode, blockchain is up-to-date, I have active connections to the network. setgenerate is false (but there's no PoW solo mining on this coin, right?). getmininginfo has 0 for min/max/combined stakeweight.
Just leave the daemon running, that's all you need to do. getinfo will show your balance and stake balance (if any). getmininginfo will show your stake weight and the network stake weight. It takes 24hrs from your first deposit for your coins to mature and begin generating stake weight. Approximately 36 hours to your first minted stake block. Correct. Minter starts up right away as long as wallet is unlocked. No need for special commands |

As for the "long term" plan who the hell knows. Right now, things are good. Market price and market cap, volume, supply/demand and community pressure/advice will probably dictate if or when action is taken to curb inflation in the future. Can we please stop talking about this now?
That's all I was asking, and finally I have an answer. There is no plan... Good enough for me. If you were following our development plan at all, you would know BALLS and 10k are both stress tests on how to make MMXIV stronger. If you don't see us as active, then that's on you |

And this seems to hold true, very valid point. You just have to look at what is happening to Snowballs, price keeps dropping and there are very few buying, so price keeps falling.
There were some thing that triggered early for Snowballs changing the min stake from 24 hrs to ~8 days. Compounding the issues was about that same time tons of coins were moved thinking the 30 day max stake was reached. So tons of coins are all on the same stake time frame but the network is still trying to setting down from the change from 24 hrs to 8 day stake. Correct. Very different situations |
