So as an open question. I know another company already fucked it up, but we had cloud staking months ago and had no issues
How many of you are interested in a new, very secure, cloud staking system done properly? Basically you would get an address that stakes even if your client is closed

How do I stake from the command-line in Linux? I've compiled it and it's running in daemon mode, blockchain is up-to-date, I have active connections to the network. setgenerate is false (but there's no PoW solo mining on this coin, right?). getmininginfo has 0 for min/max/combined stakeweight.

wouldn't this disrupt your attempts to sell staking hardward? If you can stake without needed to have your client open what's the point of the hardware?

Just leave the daemon running, that's all you need to do. getinfo will show your balance and stake balance (if any). getmininginfo will show your stake weight and the network stake weight. It takes 24hrs from your first deposit for your coins to mature and begin generating stake weight. Approximately 36 hours to your first minted stake block.

Minter starts up right away as long as wallet is unlocked. No need for special commands

I would say with 20 coins you should get your first stake within 26~27 hours of the coins hitting your wallet. The stake indicator will turn green about the 24 hour and you should stake very soon afterwards.
