6141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Unconfirmed BTC transaction on: December 02, 2021, 05:15:37 PM
Thanks so much for your response.  I use ledger nano and ledger live so I don't think there's an option to use RBF within that platform (could be wrong).
Coin Control and Replace By Fees is available in Ledger Live wallet for years, I think from year 2020.
It's much better to use Ledger device with Electrum wallet that also have this feature and it's open source.

Do you happen to know if it will be returned to my wallet after sometime is that likely or do you think it's likely it will go through at some point?
Bitcoin is not boomerang to return like that, and I don't know what fees you used (1sat/vB is minimum) but transaction is probably going to be confirmed latest this weekend.
EDIT: I see you used 1sat/vB, so it's all good, just be patient and wait if you are not in a hurry.
6142  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: BTC stuck in Electrum multi-sig (will pay $1k reward) on: December 02, 2021, 03:29:27 PM
I don't think this issue is related with Electrum wallet, and I suspect that Ledger or Trezor may cause this error because they are known to have bad multisig support,
on one of them you can't construct multisig or address can't be verified on this devices.
You can try contacting their slow support or write your issue on their reddit or github pages, and update all devices with latest firmware.
6143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter and Square CEO Jack Dorsey running his own Bitcoin node on: December 02, 2021, 02:02:42 PM
So Square is now renamed to Block (boring name) and this probably means that all devices they make will be renamed, including future hardware wallet.
I checked their website and everything is still in Square(s).

I totally forgot about the NFT garbage he sold for a lot of money. It's funny how everyone who wants to make money through shittokens mentions "charities" too. I have already seen it 3 times among some celebrities who have sold various types of shittokens to the public for millions of dollars!
Even the biggest preminer Vitalik Buterin donated bunch of his shittokens to charity but is still holding his dear premine, except foundation coins that he sells on regular basis.
I don't know who even use that junk now with crazy fees, and he was complaining about fees for Bitcoin that can't be internet of money  Cheesy

6145  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: The Lightning Network FAQ on: December 02, 2021, 01:26:31 PM
One question for people who are using LN for some time:
Does anyone know what is the best privacy oriented Lighting Network wallet, and if anything like this even exist?
I heard that Wasabi wallet created 1 BTC Privacy Research Grant for making wallet like this that should last until September 2022, but I don't know about any alternative.
6146  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Automatically adding up the merits earned in the last 120 days - possible ? on: December 02, 2021, 01:16:48 PM
I have been wondering if there is a way to automatically add up all merits earned in the last 120 days.
There are some telegram bots doing this, but easiest and fasters way would be checking out BPIP website and your profile page to see all statistics for your merits and everything else related to your profile.
For example this would be your page and in last 120 days you earned 215 merits (sent 104), there is also for merit stats for 30, 90 and 150 days:

6147  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Wasabi Wallet Questions on: December 02, 2021, 10:55:54 AM
I could not find out either here or at wasabiwallet.io if Wasabi can back up wallets that have 24 word seeds.
By default Wasabi wallet is generating new wallets with 12 words and there is no alternative option to choose 24 words.
I didn't try to recover 24 words myself but I found on their github faq page that Wasabi is supporting recovery of 24 words also:
https://github.com/zkSNACKs/WalletWasabi/discussions/6177

I one tried to CoinJoin 0.2 BTC way back when, and it did not work.  Yet, the below link (maybe there have been some changes?) says that Wasabi will support other amounts than 0.1
Bigger amount should work without any issue, 0.1 BTC is minimum amount at the moment for coinjoin, but new Wasabi release version 2.0 will implement any amount, even smaller than that.
Interface and other improvements and changes will also happen in new release, but let's wait and see
6148  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Coinbaazar Offering Free Bitcoins for Beginners/ALL on: December 01, 2021, 04:35:08 PM
we would be more than happy to answer in future also …
Maybe you missed my question that I asked few days ago so I will repeat it again, do you earn from sharing your referral codes and how much?
I hope you know there are rules regarding that in bitcointalk forum.
6149  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Thoughts about Passport hardware wallet on: December 01, 2021, 03:27:39 PM
It makes you wonder if they even have a decent boost circuit at all or just running 3.3V electronics off 2 batteries LOL Cheesy
They have all schematics for their device released in public on their github page so  you can check out what exactly they are using:
https://github.com/Foundation-Devices/passport-electronics

I did contact them about the screen indeed; and reviewers didn't mention it at all so it may be possible they listened to my feedback which would be sick. On one hand I'm a bit disappointed a second version comes so quick and such a big discount, but on the other hand I'm excited they listen to customer feedback so much and improve many things in a short time.
Maybe you should contact Passport developers and ask them for free replacement and batch2 version for testing, or they can provide you just with screen replacement Wink
Improved device will not going to be released before February 2022 so you still have time for application.
6150  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Novosti on: December 01, 2021, 01:49:57 PM

6151  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Nano S can't connect on: December 01, 2021, 12:37:03 PM
I imagine it is some kind of driver problem, but it seems strange that the hub can effectively read/write files, can connect fine with the X, but can't see / connect with the S.  Any tips on what I can do to resolve the problem?
Try connecting your ledger nano s directly to usb port to see if the issue is with your hardware wallet device or with usb hub.
If you identify that usb hub is the problem (probably) try finding drivers and update it with new firmware if it's available.
Nano x is working with bluetooth so you don't really need to use usb connection.

...

6153  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Thoughts about Passport hardware wallet on: December 01, 2021, 11:58:52 AM
New updates and improvements are coming in batch2 of Passport wallet with improved electromechanical design that is 16% thinner.
Some people complained that screen was easy to scratch, maybe even n0nce was one of them, so batch2 will be switching to glass with hardness of 8H, that is often used as tempered glass screen protection for smartphones.
This will protect from scratches and it will be bonded with display for better clarity.
Documentation is now moved to new website with setup guide, faq, etc:

6154  Other / Archival / Re: [BIG LIST] Hardware wallets (80+) on: December 01, 2021, 11:50:22 AM
Oh damn, that's a very interesting point to consider in the 'airgap discussion'! I will definitely remember this as an advantage of airgapped wallets: they don't leave traces on the OS. Especially not when using QR code; though I don't see how using an SD card for PSBT transfer would leave a 'suspicious' trail on the computer.
They could only identify that you used some SD card on your computer, but SD cards are generic and used for storing media and multiple purposes.
However, SD cards do have their own firmware but that is separate subject all together.
One more thing that is tricky for Interpol is tracking DIY hardware wallets made from general use components like RaspberryPi.
6155  Economy / Reputation / Re: I found multiple accounts on: November 30, 2021, 09:56:51 PM
This is nothing and and it was reported few months ago by Raja Singa, so better post a link to original thread.
His other accounts have some history of accusation, but I think that rozak is now trying to contribute the forum:

6156  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Coinbaazar Offering Free Bitcoins for Beginners/ALL on: November 30, 2021, 09:38:03 PM
Sir It may be less  be less according to you .. but scrolll other exchanges in your currency.. do they actually  give free bitcoins .. and that too worldwide.
I am not saying that giving free sats is bad in any way, but I am not going to sell my private information for $3 or 0.00005 btc currently.
Actually some exchanges and other gambling websites are offering much more bitcoins in bonuses when you sign up with specific terms,
but I would like to know how much are you getting from your referral code?
6157  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: 59 BTC around $ 3,352,000 stolen from hot wallet by Bitcoin atm Manufacturer on: November 30, 2021, 05:09:44 PM
Two weeks ago ,he told me that he discovered that my hot wallet lost 59.788 bitcoin within 1721 transactions  between 2016 to 2020 and the scammer is the Bitcoin ATM manufacturer that sold me the POS terminals.
Can you tell us what is the name of this Bitcoin ATM manufacturer?
I recently heard a story of one guy from Europe who lost few bitcoins few years ago in similar way, there was one employee who robbed him and ATM wallet was custodial.
Even more suspicious is that guy who stole those Bitcoin was reported dead after that.

What i should i do? can i sue these criminals for scamming 59 BTC or open an scam accusation againts them?
I would talk with your lawyer and see if you could get something back, but better don't have high expectations.
6158  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Which wallets are the safest and what can go wrong? on: November 30, 2021, 04:19:55 PM
Can anyone share their experiences with wallets. Which ones are the safest and what can go wrong?
Safest wallets for Bitcoin are one that are open source and reviewed by security experts for bugs.
Electrum is probably most used light desktop wallet for Bitcoin, but Wasabi is also interesting option for privacy and Bitcoin Core is best if you run full node.
Best way is if you run cold wallet that is not connected with internet, and hardware wallets are most convenient cold wallets, but you can also run cold wallet on offline computer.

6159  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoins "stuck" in Sparrow Taproot Wallet on: November 30, 2021, 04:01:51 PM
Taproot is a couple of years old and is already mature enough. If you use a proper software such as bitcoin core you won't have any issues or concerns about bugs. The problem is with untested or little tested implementations that are sometimes unpopular too.
You can't say something is mature enough when it's been activated only few weeks ago.
Maybe you have some top secret information I don't know, so please tell me what wallets could be used with Taproot few years ago in bitcoin mainnet?
6160  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Coinbaazar Offering Free Bitcoins for Beginners/ALL on: November 30, 2021, 03:33:48 PM
Two dollars is not much reward for exposing a phone number, and this looks like you are sharing some referral code in forum.
Doing full kyc verification for one dollar more is even more funny.
