6141  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Brave Browser: Now users can earn Basic Attention Token (BAT) for viewing ads on: December 13, 2020, 06:10:27 AM
People really ready to spend their time to watch ads for a few sats?
Yes.
But just so you know, AFAIK this feature from Brave is no longer. If I'm wrong, it is their other feature that allows to earn.

There were projects that has been said to be like that. Whenever somebody asks questions that are about observation and critically asking them for a specific matters related to the project, they will ignore.
It is a true sign that they are not transparent.

6144  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cambodia enacts new laws related to gambling. on: December 12, 2020, 11:40:19 PM
After Macau, there is a possibility that Cambodia is going to be the next destination for tourist gamblers.
There is one other country that most Asian tourist gamblers are going with this, they are securing each of them to be a good place for gamblers.
Japan is also a good one but tax is higher although it is also welcoming.

I agree with vanity you have higher chance of winning in sports betting if you analyze the game itself and the team involved rather than relying on betting strategy such as martingale wherein you will double your bet everytime you are losing something like that.
There's thinking needed for sports betting and it's easy for every sports bettor to gather information towards the match that you are following. Martingale is not effective for the majority yet there are still gamblers who do it and it works for them. It's riskier than using analysis and conducting your time into research before going with a bookie.
Paid groups, can get some good information. It increases the winning probability.
Dont see for those paid groups is really that worth to join in but if it do only need some few bucks then it isnt really a bad idea to join up to get some valuable analysis came from other people.

It isnt really negative most of the time yet you can always validate nor make up your own analysis neither you go along with those tips or would go to the opposite side.We do have our own will to do so.

It doesnt matter if you do stick out with 1.2 odds as long you do know that you will really having a bigger chance of winning even though it might not be worth or winning cant really be felt
aside if you do bet that big but it would really be risky.

Strategy effectiveness will depend on how you do set-up and analyze things.
It does give information if that group has valid source or insider but usually, it's all just an internet source that they're the first one to see. There's no guarantee on it but sometimes it gives some valid source and information that increases the chance of winning.
As said, it doesn't give guarantee but only giving a higher chance of winning. If it's just for few bucks and you're a hard core sports bettor, that shouldn't be that much to give a try but if you're used to it and don't give what you're expecting, rely to yourself.
6146  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 19-Year-Old Ukrainian Politician Owns 185,000 Monero (XMR), Bought In 2015 on: December 12, 2020, 10:51:31 PM
The price of monero at that time was around 50 cents and that means he has spent 92k USD to buy monero. If he was from the rich family and it will be easy money for him to brough a lot of monero at that time. Im not feeling surprised to see he was able to bought a lot of monero at that time.
His investment has become multi million dollars. He's so lucky.
That's a very sweet profit for him if he decides to sell it any moment from now.
many ukraininan politicians hold cryptocurrency and Rostislav Solod is no exception. other question how did they earn money to buy such big amounts of cryptocurrency and local anti-corruption agencies should give an answer.
Are you sure that other politicians are also in crypto investments? if that is so then Ukrainian politicians understand more about cryptocurrencies than other countries.
6147  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: eth 32 stakign kind of thing on: December 12, 2020, 10:27:35 PM
so if the most of the eth holders will reach to the point 32 eth will the ethereum price will collapse`?
Why it would collapse? It's on hold so why it will be like that? if everyone is holding it then that only means that there's a cut in supply.
With that, it will result in increase in prices yet it still depend on supply and demand of the market.
As far as I understand, the author's idea is, will many 32 ETH holders sell off and then the price will collapse?

You should keep in mind that Ethereum 2.0 PoS pools are limited and there will definitely be a lot of sharks that have a lot of money but still can't buy it.

But as far as I can tell, there won't be any sell-offs going on here. Because the Crypto market is in the bull trend and they have no reason not to hold on. If so, only a slight correction took place.
I doubt it as well. Most people will be joining the pools that's being conducted by the exchanges. And AFAIK, there's a certain rule that it should be locked for a certain period, I think that's 2 years for the locked in period in Binance.
For the other exchanges, they can modify that locked in period and make it easier for them to attract more joiners to their pool. But the collapsing, when it's already been stable, I don't think that most are likely to dump Ethereum. It's one of the best alt and you just can't dump it unless you really want to.
6148  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto market is plunging on: December 12, 2020, 10:06:03 PM
reportedly FUD came, that there are 15000 Bitcoins that will be distributed by MTGOX,
this will make the price of Bitcoin drop sharply, hopefully the market that is currently correcting can recover.
And that seem to be the reason why there's a plunge that happened a day ago. But that's not really a lot of market correction. With the distribution, it's expected that there will be a lot of selling orders for the victims that wants assurance of their money back.
But those wise holders and beneficiaries will keep if it's bitcoins that shall be returned or the same amount as what snapshot of the affected customer got and will eventually get into bitcoin for they'll use it to buy bitcoin.

6150  Economy / Economics / Re: Banks going in stable coins news its starting now on: December 12, 2020, 09:13:47 PM
Also the banks see that USDT not so trusted*
So they like stable coins but regulated ones*

They're more secure with the regulated stable coins because they are with the government. You can't expect decentralization coming from a bank unless they launch a service that's ok with decentralization but it's like a trading desk.
Not solely as a savings option for their customers who would like to expand into cryptocurrencies with assurance of safety from a bank.

The funny thing is that the" security guarantees " from the Bank are often associated with the fact that these same guarantees are provided by the state rather than by the Bank's good will.
And here we come to a very good question, which is better: legislative security or anonymity and the ability to hide from laws and govs.
I see it so that in the future, as a result, everyone will be happy to switch to the first option because they will get tired of playing these crypto games. Yes, there will be enthusiasts who will continue to use the same BTC and others, but it seems to me that this will be the sunset of history, but not a new monetary Renaissance.
We will never know what's with the future in terms of this matter. But it's just the stable coins that would be in their hands but talking about decentralization and assets that can't be handled by them, there will be us who would be staying on it.
The guarantee from the government seems to be secure for them but this all depends to your advocacy or what you believe or what you really prefer in these digital age and momentum of cryptocurrencies.
6151  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't invest for quick gains only on: December 12, 2020, 08:53:11 PM
It is ok to do whether your for long term gains or quick gains. There's less stress in long term and opposite with the short term. Both are profits depending to the total amount you have invested.
But in short term, more pressure. And with the defi hype, there is a chance that they can also be scammed if they are for quick profits. Both has pros and cons.
When investing in altcoins for the long term it is like gambling because no one can guarantee a profit, whereas if investing in bitcoin is still a little possible to be profitable because bitcoin has a very strong influence from very high demand and very much supply, far different from the DeFi project, which may only be popular for a moment.
Little only for bitcoin? it's the safest and if not the most profitable but still one of the most profitable crypto to have. Decision of investing in bitcoin for longer term is always the ideal decision. Anyone can also short it but for sure there will be regretful thoughts after selling it.
That's based from the experience not only of me but other holders of bitcoin who have sold earlier. And this year and next years to come makes everyone to be wiser around.

You can invest for quick gains but you need to know your purpose, stick to it and do your research.

Although everyone gone through a lot for this very tough year. Getting some bonus as you gamble would be a good incentive.
Although most links have an reference.
Yeah, they're wanting visitors to redirect to another review for that featured casino. It's a chain of reference and redirect which is a bit of annoying.
6155  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 9 practical tips for investing in Defy! on: December 11, 2020, 08:33:27 PM
Same as 95% of 2017/2018 ICO turn out to be scams, to many DEFI projects slowly or fast show their bad intentions. It is very dangerous zone of crypto right now.
I agree that it is very dangerous for newbies to become interested in the newer projects in the defi scene. Just like the ICO, you've got it mate.
Very much harder this time because after the success of the first defi projects, there's a bunch of projects that come in and investors are seeking to see that most of them will also become successful.
But the fact is that they don't.

6158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: New institutional player — MassMutual purchases $100M Bitcoin on: December 10, 2020, 11:35:33 PM
This 2020 got most of the institutional gets in. And Grayscale is the first to have been seen acquiring continuously. Other institutions like Jamie Dimon's JP morgan chase has to create a drama for them to get in.
I don't know much about MassMutual but that's heft of a purchase that they've made. 2021 will probably get more attention from financial institutions and learning about their bitcoin purchase in hundreds millions of dollars.
6159  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buy every dip, and HODL! on: December 10, 2020, 10:58:04 PM
very lucky if you buy Bitcoin when the price of Bitcoin experiences dump 2020 occurs,
a very high increase occurred in this April-December, if this bullish trend still occurs,
then $ 20k might happen again, and Dip? I don't think there will be any more
Can't go back to those prices and the lesson is to buy if you see that the dump happens. We always get to hear something like this when the price of bitcoin gets up.
The action should be taken and buy accordingly to the market's status like if it's dumping and dropping then take that time to start buying. Don't waste that opportunity of buying.
6160  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Coinmarketcap or Coingecko? on: December 10, 2020, 10:26:21 PM
Both are doing their best to impress the users and in races become number 1 position. I read an article recently where it mentioned that Coingecko challenges Coinmarkketcap's traffic dominance. What's your thoughts on this: https://coinquora.com/coingecko-challenges-coinmarketcaps-traffic-dominance/
It will depend on their stability but both are being good but sometimes whenever coinmarketcap gets into an error, it's my go to place coingecko.
I think that was a day ago there's a bug that's shown by coinmarketcap and usually they get it unexpectedly. We will never know what's with the developers and maintenance behind it but they should start being serious with that matter because it's getting noticed from time to time.
