...
Thank you, that is enough.
I removed the feedback from your profiles and I am locking this topic now.
All the best.
6162  Economy / Reputation / Re: Do you think Poker Player behavior is acceptable? on: November 30, 2021, 09:01:21 AM
A few hours after locking the thread, I went back to log in the forum and saw that I had a message from naim027 saying that he was about to reply in the thread and that just as he was about to post I locked the thread. He asked if I could unlock it so he could post the reply. At that moment I unlocked it and I was in the forum for a while but I saw that he didn't post it and I thought that maybe he was offline. After a while I received a PM from him again, saying that he had been again about to post without being able to because I had locked it again. Anyway, I unlocked it again, he posted and I locked it again.
Very interesting story and I would like if moderators could confirm that you really talked in PM several times without exposing the content or your messages, but you can also post screenshot of that yourself.
If you show that than I will repent, say that I was wrong and lock this topic.
Thank you in advance.

You don't have to be a mod for that. If you're watching the topic you get e-mail notifications.
I have all this turned off, that is why I asked about exact times Wink

but I just have the feeling...
I can show the connection in few minutes, but I am not in the mood for alt witch hunts now and that was never the point of this topic.
Sending merits to your own alt accounts and talking to yourself is also not cool, but whatever.
I am not offended about insults he said to me, and I am glad that he finally closed that inquisition topic.

Do you know for a fact that lightlord truly has health issues?  I know that was what he claimed, but has that claim been substantiated?
He said it himself, and I am not going to talk about him and speculate anymore.
6164  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoins "stuck" in Sparrow Taproot Wallet on: November 29, 2021, 09:49:24 PM
Yeah I think it's a bug, obviously someone else has the same problem https://giters.com/sparrowwallet/sparrow/issues/311

Luckily I only sent like $15 worth of bitcoin. Should better be more careful next time
I don't think you actually lost anything as long as you have your seed words backup Wink and I would personally wait few weeks or month before testing Taproot.
You can follow Taproot usage statistics, and see it's still low.
6165  Economy / Reputation / Re: Do you think Poker Player behavior is acceptable? on: November 29, 2021, 09:43:02 PM
Multiple users asked to lock the topic, he did it. End of story.
Yeah, but then unlocks it just so naim027 could make a post and locks it against seconds after... not a chance this is coincidence.  Cheesy

I am just asking if moderators or someone else (maybe LoyceV) could see times of locking and unlocking of topics, that was my question Wink

PS
My skin is thick (it can always get thicker) and I am just curious.
6166  Economy / Reputation / Do you think Poker Player behavior is acceptable? on: November 29, 2021, 09:22:47 PM
I would like to ask DT members if there is a way to see when specific threads are being locked and unlocked, because I noticed something strange, maybe it's a bug or case of alt account abuse.

On October 10 member Poker Player created a TOPIC about other member Lightlord, that is know to have serious health issues.
Fast forward more than a month ago, this topic was still kept alive mostly artificially, disregarding several members (including me) asking to lock the topic.

Interesting thing happened after that, topic was locked, and then magically unlocked just so that butthurt thin skin member could use his alt account (or his buddy) naim027 to make a post and seconds after that to lock this topic all over again.
So he enabled his alt-account (buddy) to reply to my post not allowing me to answer anything, and not only that that Poker Player even merited this post.

Please check out time and see that topic was locked second/minutes after post made by naim027, and it was locked for hours before that.
Other members who participated in that conversation could probably confirm my claims.

6167  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Twitter and Square CEO Jack Dorsey running his own Bitcoin node on: November 29, 2021, 06:34:33 PM
Jack Dorsey has confirmed that he has left the post of head of Twitter.
Maybe Jack wants to dedicate more time to Square with making new hardware wallet and his announced tbdex bitcoin decentralized exchange.
I just hope twitter won't fall into some new level heavy censorship without him.
6168  Other / Archival / Re: [BIG LIST] Hardware wallets (80+) on: November 29, 2021, 05:53:24 PM
I recently found out that Interpol and their Innovation Centre is keeping their own tracking off Hardware Wallets Digital Forensics List, with vendor ID _VID(0x) and Product ID _PID(0x) for each device.
Forensics examiners may use this information to identify if such a device has been used on the suspect's computer, and they keep this list of hardware wallet updated on regular basis and they have most popular brands on their list:
https://github.com/INTERPOL-Innovation-Centre/HardwareWallets_DF_List/blob/d92f5beef76cd08ff7ea575979bef08f1758a56e/README.md

They obviously have problem to identify some non-usb devices like airgaped hardware wallets, because they are harder to identify especially if they only use QR codes for communication.
If you ever used hardware wallet connected with your computer over usb connection and you want to remove any leftovers, best way to do this is probably to reformat and reinstall fresh OS.
We also know that IRS have intention to crack and hack hardware wallets so it doesn't hurt to be extra careful about this.
6169  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoins "stuck" in Sparrow Taproot Wallet on: November 29, 2021, 04:56:09 PM
Do you run your Sparrow wallet with full node or you are using some electrum server, and do you use it as single or multisig?

Note that Taproot is still in early stages and I wouldn't suggest using it now if you are a normal user, it could be some bug that you could report to Sparrow github page.

You can also try other wallets that support Taproot:
6170  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Mjesečna Analiza za Hrvatsku Lokalnu Zajednicu (Bitcointalk Croatian) on: November 29, 2021, 04:04:25 PM

Wink
6171  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Cloudbet has confiscated funds in violation of their TOS on: November 29, 2021, 03:31:53 PM
I supported the flag and I heard other people complains who used Cloudbet, so they are going to lose more customers if they continue like this.
Maybe you are lucky that you didn't send more Bitcoin there, but they sure need to provide some evidence to you or here in forum, and they should return your deposit.
6172  Economy / Reputation / Re: Do you think Lightlord behavior is acceptable? on: November 29, 2021, 03:17:43 PM
it is obvious that we should leave him alone for now.
This looks like a classic case of cyberbullying to me...and I wouldn't be surprised if OP hires private investigator to search for Lightlord (if someone else pays for that).

Small retrospective of this topic:

- 13 14 pages of mostly speculation and accusations.  Roll Eyes
- Poker Player wrote 42 posts in this topic. (he is answering all questions like judge, jury and lawyer)
- Timelord2067 wrote 29 posts in this topic.
- LoyceV wrote 16 posts in this topic.
- ...

I am thinking about creating new topic called: Do you think Poker Player behavior is acceptable.

Leave
Lightlord
Alone
6173  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Growing Bitcoin demand among people.... on: November 29, 2021, 11:02:23 AM
General population will be the last to accept Bitcoin and they are just following the heard mentality, but smart people can see that fiat inflation is growing and leading towards hyperinflation.
Smart people and sportsman you listed above are thinking with their head, and they are just trying to avoid losing their wealth by investing in Bitcoin.
Alternative option for this is to trust your government and professional liars called politicians, and than let's see how far both ways go in few years.
6174  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: [LIST] Open Source Hardware Wallets on: November 29, 2021, 10:26:38 AM
Missed opportunity to give the thing a click wheel Wink
That makes me wonder: fuse iPod Classic modding + DIY hardware wallets => hardware wallet in iPod shell? Would be pretty sick, and also a way to hide keys 'in plain sight'.
Although, it would be a much more involved project than regular iPod modding, it would be reusing shell & I/O with all-new components. Not sure if even possible. I'm just brainstorming
OneKey mini looks like iPod device but it has much smaller dimensions, and I don't think it's possible to create functional DIY wallet with iPod.
There was some iPod Linux project few years ago but I am not following the progress, and it's probably cheaper to just buy open source Onekey.
6175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When is the Bitcoin symbol going to be added to the keyboard? on: November 28, 2021, 08:05:05 PM
Adding the Bitcoin symbol to the keyboard will scream "ADOPTION". The question is where to put the key? I would suggest they replace the $ with the bitcoin symbol... just kidding. However, it gotta go somewhere, what do you think?
Bitcoin symbol is already added to some iOS and Android digital keyboards, but you can create your own version for desktop keyboards using shortcuts.
I know some software programs that can reprogram or remap your keyboard keys on base level and replace it with anything you want including bitcoin symbol shortcut.
To make it even better you can print your own Bitcoin transparent sticker, or order custom keycap with bitcoin symbol and I would replace it with key that I don't use often, maybe ESC.
I didn't saw anyone making this DIY project, but it would be interesting to make one if I found some free time.

6176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you guys think 0.1BTC is enough to "make it"? on: November 28, 2021, 07:51:34 PM
If you are willing to wait and hold for few years in next halving, Bitcoin will probably worth more and fiat money could be hyperinflation, but this is all my speculation.
Alternative bad scenario could also play out with some central bank digital currencies and global ban of bitcoin, but it all depends on people.
Stacking sats and holding paid out so far and I think everyone should get at least 1 Bitcoin at their portfolio, 0.1 is just not enough if you want to ''make it''.
6177  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: DIY Bitcoin Blockclock on: November 28, 2021, 07:19:24 PM
then most likely the display of the respective currency would be removed or what do you think?
This is not the topic about Blockclock device so I don't really care what are they going to do with 6th digit.
I was searching for cheaper DIY alternatives for this project, just like the topic and content suggest after reading.
6178  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: HandyDandy a tool to work with entropy on: November 28, 2021, 06:25:04 PM
You mean something like what bitaddress.org does? I guess I could add a canvas and track mouse movement then combine it with a strong random entropy generated programmatically.
Yeah like bitaddress or maybe something similar like MrFreeDragon VisualBTC program but with some improvements.

Well, generating entropy by hand is slow. 128 to 256 bits is 128 to 256 coin flips. However I will add an option to use 6-16 sides die to reduce the effort.
Yeah I know it's usually a slower process, and my suggestion should only be optional for people who want to speed things up just a bit.
Maybe you should also add some information that it's better to use program on offline computer for generating seed words for cold storage.
6179  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: HandyDandy a tool to work with entropy on: November 27, 2021, 07:59:44 PM
Interesting tool but how can I confirm it is really giving me true random results?
I tried generating few Private Keys and Mnemonic words but it always giving me number 1 (head)with one click, and I have to click again to get number 0 (tails).
My suggestion is to add optional function of ''drawing'' so I could generate private keys with holding mouse button and moving around fields.
This would be faster for generating than it is currently.
6180  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Trezor or Ledger !! on: November 27, 2021, 07:53:52 PM
Another one was a data leakage for those that registered on Ledger's website which involved residential addresses, quoted through the same source as above.
On every leak from hardware wallets I can show you hundred times more examples of leaks and hacks from centralized exchanges, including Binance, Kucoin and Mt.Gox.
I wouldn't suggest anyone to follow your dumb example, and I would NEVER use or purchase hardware wallet from anyone.
