I still don't fully get the situation since the OP hasn't clarified clearly in the OP.

So, did the bit-x campaign banned him from earning or the bitcointalk forum banned him from posting?

The forum but bit-x may likely refuse payment now as it is in their terms if you get banned you forfeit it.
6162  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] [++ RATES THAN DaDice] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: March 09, 2015, 06:25:58 PM
I would like to know if I joined this campaign and got banned, what happens to my pay? Thx Wink

From the OP:
- All users who receive valid negative trust and/or are banned for spam or likewise during the course of the campaign will be denied payment.
6163  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ban will i ever be unbanned? on: March 09, 2015, 05:46:10 PM
so if im permanently banned i cant create other accounts and post on this forum anymore?

Nope. That would be ban evasion.
6164  Other / Meta / Re: [REPORT] ~ Please *stop* this user on: March 09, 2015, 04:26:07 PM
Question to mods - Has specgamer been banned? He posted 60+ times yesterday, mostly bumping up threads which haven't been active for months.

Well if he hasn't he probably will be. Just noticed he necroed a thread and copy and pasted a response that has a few hits on google:

https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=You+can+buy+bitcoins+from+either+exchanges,+or+directly+from+other+people+selling+them.+You+can+pay+for+them+in+a+variety+of+ways,+ranging+from+hard+cash+to+credit/debit+cards+to+wire+transfers,+or+even+with+other+cryptocurrencies,+depending+on+who+you+are+buying+them+from+and+where+you+live.+It%27s+still+not+easy+to+buy+bitcoins+with+your+credit+card+or+PayPal.+&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&gws_rd=cr&ei=Xsj9VOHcGM2R7AaqooCADg

You can buy bitcoins from either exchanges, or directly from other people selling them. You can pay for them in a variety of ways, ranging from hard cash to credit/debit cards to wire transfers, or even with other cryptocurrencies, depending on who you are buying them from and where you live. It's still not easy to buy bitcoins with your credit card or PayPal. This is because such transactions can easily be reversed with a phone call to the card company. Since it's hard to prove any goods changed hands in a transfer of bitcoins, exchanges avoid this payment method and so do most private sellers.  Smiley SmileyBTC Good luck in the bitcoin world.
6165  Other / Meta / Re: Trust improvements on: March 09, 2015, 04:18:18 PM
There could be but I doubt it will happen because as Quick said the trust system isn't moderated and it is also very hard to enforce or police. Trusted feedback is from those who have been put on the default trust list by someone already on there and therefor their feedback is considered 'trusted' and holds more weight.

@black: Is it that the mods cannot delete any feedback from the user's account? I have seen mods of other forums able to do that and hence I asked.

Mods can't, admins can but they do not unless in exceptional circumstances. I think it works best this way though obviously people don't like it when they get unjust feedback, but this is yet another point why the system is just a guide to help others make their own mind up and you can choose to disregard or trust their ratings if you wish

@green: OK just got the logic now and I added the users who send me feedback in my trusted list. I guess they have sent me neutral trust and hence the trust is shown as 0.

You have three positives but they're from 'untrusted' users. If they ever get added to default trust then those three feedbacks would become trusted.

I tried to register though they want my phone number. I mean i see bit-x wants more users on the way too but i dont think that i want to give such a personal detail out only to advertise then for someone. And i think that not many aged users on this forum will apply when this means their forum user gets connected to their identity this way. You know... bitcoin and anonymity is still a topic and you dont give such things away so easy.

I have read in another thread that this restriction might be lifted?

It may but hasn't been confirmed. In the meantime bitmixer is very similar to this campaign and is a simple sign up process and you'll be good to go within seconds, but as mentioned before it's half the pay this one is.

lol, couldn't resist. Any reason why you are ignoring dadice campaign? It is even in the title of this thread. Wink

No reason. Just wasn't exactly sure on the specifics of that deal and forgot about it to be honest.

Can there be a rule implemented where members selling their accounts with a green trust made to remove their trust from the account before selling it? The trust is given to the member who sells the account and not the one who buys it but members sell it with the trust as well.

Also, what is the difference between untrusted feedback and trusted feedback? Is the feedback given by newbies considered untrusted here?

There could be but I doubt it will happen because as Quick said the trust system isn't moderated and it is also very hard to enforce or police. 6169  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ban will i ever be unbanned? on: March 09, 2015, 02:42:21 PM
That is a permenant ban, though they can always be reversed but I wouldn't expect it.

is there any specific reason that a band will be reversed? or did mod ever unbann account before the expiration of the band due to some circumstances?

Good behaviour I guess. If you haven't evaded your ban sometimes they may be removed but I wouldn't expect it. Usually to get perma banned you have to have been banned three times prior so they get enough warnings.

do admins consider adding bail for banned accounts?

I suppose it's always an option and there are both positives and negatives to it but it's not much of a warning if you can just buy yourself out of it. People may complain that the forum is making money from bans so there's that as well (though people will complain whatever we do).
6170  Other / Meta / Re: Unofficial list of (official) Bitcointalk.org rules, guidelines, FAQ on: March 09, 2015, 02:25:13 PM
It might be 'unofficial' but stickying it can seem as officially sanctioning it IMO, but I think he just wasn't too keen on that happening but maybe he's relaxed his position on the matter. I think the rules should be clearly stated for people though regardless of if they will try get round them.

A few suggestions: Seems the Investor-based Games section hasn't been added to the list of boards. Could you maybe add a list of staff/mods as well? I think that would be helpful. Maybe adding the activity updates thread to the activity section would be helpful also: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=582736.0

You'll have to wait for a response from BadBear regarding that.
should i pm him or just wait?

You can PM him if you wish but I wouldn't bother him. He'll see this thread soon enough.

although it got no expiration date, i think it doesnt mean permanent band

found this , this one got no expiration date too

Dear Admin,

Why my account got banned ?

is this a perma bann? as i dont see the duration of the bann here, wondering what is the clasification that will got you a perma bann and a 14 days bann

It won't expire automatically, though I may unban his main account at a later date. There's no particular line to cross that will lead to a permaban instead of temporary, depends on my assessment of various factors. I don't want to stop people from participating here, that isn't good. I'll try like hell to stop the spam though.

but badbear got its own reason to unband or not to unband your account

That is a permenant ban, though they can always be reversed but I wouldn't expect it.
6172  Other / Meta / Re: Separate sub forum for "Signature Campaigns" on: March 09, 2015, 01:49:54 PM

But if we create this then people will want a separate sub for Jobs and the Bounties and the everything else. Looking through a page or two isn't that big of a deal really and you can always just try use the search button.

Here the fact is that recently many new signature campaigns have been launched and due to this small jobs get overlooked. If the Signature campaigns are in a different section, jobs and bounties can just be in the services section and it will be more relevant for members who want to do a small job and earn bitcoins. Currently, the Service section is just flooded with the sig campaigns.

My above point still stands. There's not that many campaigns and especially not enough to create their own sub. All other recent bounties or jobs can be found on within the first few pages so I still don't think it's a big deal as annoying as you may find it.

I think ill see if bit-x works since i dont really want to post more than i normally would do. Though now i wonder if they have a limit regarding a minimum. I posted in their thread now and see what they see.

Bitmixer is a similar campaign you might want to check out that has no minimum post requirements to get paid and you also don't need to verify your account with a cell phone but the payments are half the price of bit-x so that could be a deal breaker.
6175  Economy / Services / Re: [BIT-X.com] [++ RATES THAN DaDice] Earn Bitcoins by Posting | Signature Campaign on: March 09, 2015, 01:40:38 PM
I checked the website out and read a bit on here about bit-x.com and they look fine. I thought about joining the campaign since when i post anyway it wouldnt hurt to get something for it.
Though i only post rather seldom. I believe last 30 days i made 39 posts so there is no minimum post count for this program right?

I'm not sure if there's a minimum post requirement but there is none on bitmixer. You can get paid for just one post and is very similar to this campaign but you don't need to verify your account with a cell number but the payouts are half as much so take that into consideration.
6176  Other / Meta / Re: Forum ban will i ever be unbanned? on: March 09, 2015, 01:34:09 PM
Possibly. If it doesn't state a duration it's likely permanent. What is the name of your banned account(s)?
6177  Other / Archival / Re: Updated Overview of Bitcointalk Signature-Ad Campaigns on: March 09, 2015, 01:31:20 PM
the payout will depends on your constructive post counts, if you are able to make 1000 constructive post / week, according to the thread, they will pay for 1.6 BTC for your rank because it is mention that there is no limit the to the post count

I doubt ill be able to do that. I only made 39 posts in the last 30 days. So if only constructive posts are taken and 1000 of them for 1.6btc... then this would mean actual real hard work and the payment wouldnt be worth it then. I only would think about it when i dont really have to change my behaviour very much. Up to 100 posts are possible for sure though i wonder if constructive isnt a very stretchy term anyway. Is constructive needed for the other campaigns too? I mean i cant imagine someone sitting there, reading all posts and decide which is constructive. Smiley

If you can do a little over 50 choose a fixed rate like Luckybit (0.125). More than 100 choose a pay per post like bit x (0.16 for hundred but you can make much more than that but posting that much is no easy task as you mentioned). Constructive basically means just don't spam or post pointless rubbish for the sake of it. I've had a quick look over your posts and all or most should be fine and counted as 'constructive' so you probably would be ok if you just continued on as normal providing you made the minimum 50 posts for payout.
6178  Other / Meta / Re: Trust improvements on: March 09, 2015, 01:25:06 PM
The problem with the current rating is that upon trading the account the "old" trust becomes irrelevant, as the new user has nothing to do with the old one. This can be abused by scammers who want to invest in buying such trust-positive high status accounts. Here is my proposal on how to further improve this current trust ranking, and bring it a bit closer to significance in such cases. I know that it is impossible to ban trading accounts, but how about adding -50000 to the trust, if there is clear evidence that the account has been traded, e.g., unusual IP address and device and location should trigger a mail to the original email address that the account was registered - upon no response, we may have already solid evidence (if someone is unhappy with this criteria we may discuss how to improve them). That way trading for trust could be significantly reduced.

Account selling is allowed and it's unfair to suddenly make them look like the biggest scammer on the forum just because an account is suspected of trading hands, plus the way you is describe is unenforceable and can lead to false positives as many people change IPs/computers or use tor/proxies. It's also not the admin's job to investigate such infractions and they certainly don't have the time or desire to investigate every case and that's one of the main reasons why scams, trust and account sales etc are not moderated. Besides, you're still putting too much faith into the trust system as it is far from foolproof and scammers can just as easily abuse it with fake accounts and trades then scam when they've built up enough confidence anyway.
6179  Other / Meta / Re: Is post like these consider a spam or not? on: March 09, 2015, 12:56:55 PM
I have seen members who are warning everyone in the currency exchange section. Same words which are rephrased in every thread. They say PP transactions are reversible and tell the buyer and seller to be careful. My question is that when he/she is not interested in the exchange then why warn to just increase post count?

I think people warning of potential scams - especially ones involving PP - is ok but maybe not if that's all they do and it's obvious why. A user was called out recently for repeatedly just asking if sellers used escrow every-time but I'd take them on a case-by-case basis.
6180  Other / Meta / Re: Separate sub forum for "Signature Campaigns" on: March 09, 2015, 12:54:39 PM
I too want a separate form for Signature campaigns. I try to search for jobs which I can do for a bounty but then I need to browse through 2-3 pages in the Services section. I have barely managed to do 2-3 jobs till date as it's tough to even check the new jobs due to continuous replies on Signature Campaign threads.

But if we create this then people will want a separate sub for Jobs and the Bounties and the everything else. Looking through a page or two isn't that big of a deal really and you can always just try use the search button.
