Banks are what they are.  A Bitcoin wallet, the best for long term being a software variety, are pretty safe.  You need to back them up, back up the wallet dat and keep that separate from the PC that has the wallet on it.  Do frequent back ups and make sure that you keep that safe. 

Hedge fund, plain and simple.  Make it yourself.  A couple strong coins that are not going anywhere.  A few middle of the road investments that have potential and seem strong, but have a pretty good trusted record too.  Top it off with coins that are new and unknown.  Those can either bomb or go through the roof.

A new user that is just starting and finds out they have to download the blockchain for a software wallet they just got usually balks and hits an online wallet, usually from blockchain.info.
Very difficult to measure,  i guess.

If you expect people to trust you with their funds, then you can call it whatever you like, but it should have been handled with a little integrity and not just deleting what you feel is not right or whatever. 

They attack left and right in some cases to fight the introduction of Bitcoin into normal society.  The law says pay taxes on the profits, but that can lead to issues with other laws.
