6161  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think of tokens you promoted and invested down 90% on: September 01, 2019, 12:01:12 PM
The team members can't entirely prevent price from going down for a long time, even if they use strategies like buy back. When price of tokens drop massively on exchanges, it's probably because investors lost interest in the project especially when there is no update from the team or maybe when the team members or private investors decide to dump a whole lot of tokens, thereby picking any available buy order. Talking about investing in ICO, it all depends on the particular project but most are not worth it.

The dump is almost always started by the promoters. There have been hundreds, if not thousands of examples. And it happens too quickly, for the investors to react promptly. By the time the investors move their tokens to the exchanges, the prices may have already fallen by 80% or 90%. And in most cases, the bounty hunters get their reward after the dump has been completed.
6162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Are airdrops profitable and worth my time ? on: September 01, 2019, 11:55:16 AM
It has been more than a year since I took part in any of the crypto airdrops. Back in 2017 and 2018, they used to be profitable. On average, 20% to 25% of them would pay the tokens as promised, and you may get anywhere from $10 to $100, if you exchange them. But nowadays the quality has gone down and it is difficult to find good airdrops.
6163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee Believes Dogecoin “Will Go To The Moon” on: September 01, 2019, 11:29:32 AM
The DOGE coin itself is sometimes promising, but I don't think it makes sense to listen to the paid advice, because there is no point in it

First of all, it was started as a parody project, to mock the cryptocurrencies in general. It was like those anti-religion religion activists entering "Jedi Knight" as their religion during the British Census. The creators of Dogecoin (Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer) have shown no interest in further developing the coin, to remove the bugs and deficiencies. Under such circumstances, I don't understand the logic in investing in this coin.
6164  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Hodler, you motherfucker. on: September 01, 2019, 11:26:51 AM
Post the proof in screenshot format. It is difficult to believe that you managed 20% to 25% profits on 7 consecutive occasions. Even hardened traders having decades of experience would not be able to do that. In my case, my record winning streak was 3 straight profitable trades, of around 5% profit. 4th gave me a loss of 5%. 7 is a bit too hard to believe.
6165  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lomachenko-Campbell Unification Fight on: September 01, 2019, 11:16:47 AM
Same night In same O2 Arena Aleksander Povetkin defeated Hughie Fury by unonious decision

Hmmmm... I watched the highlights. Finally Povetkin has something to cheer for, after his humiliating loss to Anthony Joshua at the Wembley. But in general, the match was a bit boring. The WBA International heavyweight title deserves better fights. The Lomachenko vs Campbell fight was also not as exciting as I would have expected. Lomachenko was a bit defensive, at least during the initial rounds. I was expecting a KO and had to contend with yet another UD.
6166  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Test Cricket Prediction and Discussion Thread [self - mod] on: September 01, 2019, 11:05:40 AM
But still they managed 416 without Jadeja, all thanks to Vihari's 100+ runs. Yes, I was not expecting Sharma to score the runs buthe did lol. He batted like Ashwin used to with Dhoni. I was only holding on Jadeja-Vihari's partnership which did not last long.

The way WI are playing, the first innings will get over before lunch and the second after lunch Cheesy

Ishant has been performing exceedingly well with both bat and ball so far in this series and now the selectors will be a worried lot. There are too few slots and too many talented bowlers. In the West Indian pitches they can go with three pacers - Ishant, Bumrah and Shami. But one of them needs to be dropped for the sub-continental matches.
6167  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: September 01, 2019, 10:59:20 AM
No surprises from the first four matches today. The only close one was Dominican Republic versus Jordan, in which the Asians gave DR a run for their money. Canada and New Zealand performed better than expected. But there is no use of a good performance, when you can't win the match. NZ had enough chances for a win, had they tried a bit harder.

Now we have a bunch of very exciting matches and teams such as US, Greece and France will be in action. I expect the US vs CzR match to be too one-sided and I am not even going to watch it. The Senagal vs Lithuania and France vs Germany matches are going to be exciting.
6168  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Otto Wallins on: September 01, 2019, 10:51:58 AM
The odds are 1/33 for Tyson Fury to win.

https://www.oddschecker.com/insight/boxing/20190813-tyson-fury-v-otto-wallin-odds-revealed

Otto Wallin comes in at 11/1, which means the bookies are heavily skewed on this one.

However, based on the fact that Fury dethroned Klitschko and arguably bested Wilder without even being in tip top form, 1/33 looks good.

Tempted to put my life savings on Fury.

Normally I don't make bets on these sort of lop-sided matches. Otto Wallins don't have any chance of a win. But the returns, if you bet for Fury is too low, at around 3%. You can argue that 3% in a few days is good return, but always remember that miracles happen every now and then. If somehow Fury loses, then all of your investment will be gone. Not worth taking that much risk for just 3%.
6169  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-08-23] Bitcoin Miners Are Heating Homes Free of Charge in Frigid Siberia on: August 31, 2019, 03:20:40 PM
Belarus is an example of such a country-- they offer very low taxation to even no taxation at all, but who is going to take that offer knowing how unstable the government there is?
you mean the opposite; Belarusian government has barely changed for something like 40 or 50 years. That's stability, not instability

I heard that the Lukashenko regime is the last remnant of the former USSR. Also came to know that Belarus is the last country in the European continent, that still has the death penalty. But the people seems to be doing not too bad, at least when compared to the neighboring regions of Russia and Ukraine. After the collapse of the USSR, there was no large-scale demographic loss and unemployment remains low.

And the most important thing is that Belarus seems to be the most cryptocurrency friendly country out of the ex-USSR nations.
6170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Why is Binance Coin a good choice to HOLD? on: August 31, 2019, 03:09:20 PM
I heard that Binance is making insane amount of profits from the IEO boom. According to reliable sources, they are charging anywhere from $1 million to $3 million for a single listing. And so far this year, they had at least 7 successful IEOs (my numbers may be outdated). So if they concentrate a bit more on the security aspect, then BNB would be a great choice for investment.
6171  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The three biggest mistakes you should avoid on: August 31, 2019, 02:46:34 PM
The first point is the most important one, and almost everyone who had commented on this thread might have done that at least once in their life (not necessarily with cryptocurrencies). Maintaining clear profit booking and stop loss targets can eliminate this. Ever since I started to place profit booking/stop loss targets, I have never suffered from heavy losses with any of the cryptocurrencies.
6172  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: if no one wants to buy coins in bull market what will happen? on: August 31, 2019, 02:10:47 PM
If everyone keeps evading not to buy coins and tokens or build portfolios in bull market and only waiting for price surge how exactly will price value keeps up? excluding traders taking advantages i think more value will be added to tokens and coins if many investors are creating more buy orders on exchanges

A bull market means that there is more demand when compared to the supply of an asset. If no one wants to buy the coins, i.e there is a lack of demand then we won't say that a bull phase is going on. We would say that the bears are in control. Normally when the value starts to go up, speculators and traders rush to accumulate as many coins as they can to take advantage of the price rise later.
6173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in multiple altcoins on: August 31, 2019, 02:03:15 PM
You have listed more than two dozen different tokens/coins and I don't think that it will be wise to split your small investment on so many different assets. My advice would be to concentrate on just 2-3 good altcoins. If you go for 3, then purchase two established coins (such as ETH/LTC) and reserve the remaining slot for a relatively newer coin (such as Basic Attention Token).
6174  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: John McAfee Believes Dogecoin “Will Go To The Moon” on: August 31, 2019, 01:55:32 PM
John McAfee is still alive? I didn't hear from him anything new regarding cryptocurrencies. Maybe he is trying to hide to avoid eating his own penis?  Cheesy
And about the dogecoin, it is interesting that so many big names are positive about dogecoin future.

He just got out of jail. He was imprisoned in the Dominican Republic for fraud, but after a few days he managed to bribe the authorities and thereby free himself. He claims to have faked a heart attack, in order to avoid deportation to the United States (where he is wanted for tax evasion). The latest update is that he is hiding somewhere in the United Kingdom.

6175  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: August 31, 2019, 01:48:21 PM
I am watching that game right now. You need to install the Fancode app on your smartphone. But the issue is that you can watch the game only on mobile, and not in TV or laptop. It is very exciting now, and China is leading 51-41, with one quarter remaining. Chances are that China will pull off this one. The other game is also available, and it is quite exciting as well (Spain vs Tunisia, now 42-39 at half-time).

I followed your suggestion, installed the app, saw they featured a live game I like to watch, but I can't play it in my device.
They must have some country restriction or something, I don't know, seems like it's impossible for me to watch the game live now, my best chance is a youtube live streaming video but I could not find one.

Sorry for that.... in that case I guess the mobile streaming works only in India. If you are living in the EU or US, I don't think that you will be able to watch the live streaming in YouTube. They are immediately deleting any live streams as soon as they are put up (due to copyright issues). Paid subscription is available from ESPN+, but it costs $4.99 per month. Another option is to watch in Atdhe, but there are so many versions and I don't know which one is safe. I tried a few of them, and 2-3 worked, but only for some time.

Spain is now mopping the floor with Tunisia after a shaky start. They are leading by 72-47 now. And with less than one minute of play remaining, China is leading 60-48 against CDI. Very low-scoring match in which both the teams looked overly defensive. In the last match today, Argentina is currently leading against South Korea by 22 points.

Guys do you have a live stream link for Cote d'Ivoire vs China?

I installed the Fancode App in my mobile phone and now I can watch the matches live. But still I am unable to watch them in my laptop (which probably is too much to ask for  Grin). BTW, Tunisia is leading against Spain 27-18. History in making and no one should miss this match. There is a real chance of an upset here. This is just crazy... some unbelievable shit going on!!!!!
Betting for Tunisia now but with a 19.5 handicap  Grin. I hope that even if they lose this game (expected), it would be close.

Spain pulled ahead now. The score is still very close (42-39 at half-time), but I don't expect a team such as Tunisia to maintain their momentum in the 3rd and 4th quarters. BTW, Philippines fought back in the 4th quarter to have a respectable scoreline. 4th quarter was 23-23, and they lost the match 62-108. Still better than the 8-37 that they had after the 1st quarter.
6178  Economy / Economics / Re: Can a Stock Market Crash affect Bitcoin? on: August 31, 2019, 01:04:26 PM
If a recession occurs, then naturally the investors will be dumping their stocks/mutual funds and flocking to "safer" assets such as treasury bonds and bullion bars. Now the issue with cryptocurrency is that it is not being considered as a "safe" asset. On the other hand, it is being regarded as even more riskier than the equities and mutual funds.

According to this list, there is broadcaster in India:
https://www.fiba.basketball/basketballworldcup/2019/broadcaster-list

The broadcaster for India is given as "Fancode". There is no TV channel in that name. I checked the website (fancode.com) and there is no indication of FIBA coverage. Anyway, for now I'd stick to the web streaming.

BTW, did anyone checked the Spain vs Tunisia match? This was supposed to be the most one sided match for today. Believe it or not, currently Tunisia is leading over Spain (17-16)!!!!!
