Yes, there is self-moderation option but you can only choose it when you create your threads. If you create non-self-moderated threads, you will unable to change it to self-moderated thread later. There are some boards you can not create self-moderated threads, Meta board for instance. In most sections, you now have the option of marking topics self-moderated when creating them. In self-moderated topics, the OP can delete replies. The option for enabling this is under "additional options". Topics cannot be converted to self-moderated topics after creation.
There are no rules to self-moderation. In self-moderated threads, replies belong to the OP. In other threads, replies belong to the respondents individually. Think carefully about whether you want to reply to a self-moderated topic, as your post may not be given due respect.

This season, all of clubs that belong to nations beyond the top-five according to UEFA ranking system disqualified for the second stage. It does not guarentee a more competitive second stage with all rest clubs belong to top-5 nations but we can expect that. Likely you missed, there is few low ranked user I have seen that they are wearing Bitsler signature code. But I am not sure if they have been paying or not for that. I can't remember all but you will find one of them here, most likely they are supporting Bitsler for free. I were thought they wear signature due to celebrite 4th anniversary contest. But its seems they are still wearing signature code. I knew about the celebration for the 4th anniversary of Bitsler, and from that some users worn its avatar. I noticed it when I saw some participants of Cryptotalk campaign (who are free from avatar) worn Bitsler avatar. For low rank users who support Bitsler with signature, you are correct, I missed it. |

I agree with all of you, it is currently very difficult to rank up in this forum. Many people cannot increase their accounts even by promoting intellectual property. It is a very difficult and difficult thing, especially in the field of children. Also if you can post good quality then it is possible to increase the rank.
There is no correlations between intellectual property, field of children, post quality, merits and ranks up. If you want to make good posts, you have to prepare enough for it: from knowledge, language (writing, in particular), and time (to read, write and to scan around the forum). It is not easy, and you can not log in your account and spend 5 minutes per day. Such short time is a big barrier if you want to make good posts and contribute something to the community. |

Let's count it down guys. Only 45 more merits and I will fully get my achievement for this year, but it does not a matter. I bump the thread because I hope my adventure here can inspire you (who have still dissapointed with the merit system) and you are future of the forum.
I need hundreds of activity points to become Legendary and with my merit earning rate, I will get enough merits before getting enough activity points. Saying the truth, my mind has nearly (just nearly, and it is a lie if I say I completely free of merit-related thoughts) been free of merits when my total merits (all self-earned) surpassed my total activity points (about 2 months ago).
Let's make a quick review on my journey:
- I did stucked at member rank for months since Jan. 2018.
- I received an amazing support from LoyceV (via merit data dump) weeks before the 1st anniversary of the merit system.
- From which, I built up my career here: ranked up to Full member rank first around the 1st anniversary, and now when the 2nd anniversary is coming, I am on the way to my 1000th merits.
My advice is:
- Finding the things you are good at (for me, it is statistics), and concentrating most of your works on it (the things you can do best). In the meantime, trying to expand your knowledge and skills to the others and someday you will manage them too.

- Total merits distributed on 2019w48 is 5907.
- Compare to 4521 (the median of weekly merits on 2019w46 - 3 weeks ago), the percentage of last week merits increases only 30.7%.
- Good news is it seems the re-allocation of sMerits for merit sources still shown good effects.
- Total distributed merits: 5907 (see)
- theymos' effects: only 12 merits sent by him last week, none of them relates to the Art Contest, Art badge vote.
- Median of weekly merits before the 2019w46 (when theymos began to dump massive merits): 4521

What does it means, guys? It means that on the last week - 2019w48 - the forum community sent 1386 more merits than they usually did in previous weeks (at 4521, the weekly median). In percentage, there is about 30.7% increase compares to median of weekly merits, took at 2019w46 (3 weeks ago). The figure of 5907 does not satisfy my definition of outliers. It's very normal, in my opinion. It means that potential outliers are weeks that have intra-week merits beyond 2477 or 6857.

- Median (interquartile range) of weekly earned merits for the group of 1-25 is 13 (4 - 28), that is significantly higher than the figures of last 3 groups: 26-50 ( 8 ), 51-75 (7), and 76-100 (7).
- Min - max: 0 and 501, respectively.
- Period: 2019w23 - 2019w48
- Weekly earned merits: are not exacly weekly in Calendar day; and come from theymos' merit data dumps and LoyceV's data update. See
- All users in the top 100: 8 merits per week, with interquartile range is 2 to 18. It means if someone can manage to earn more than 8 merits per week, over continuous months, they might move to the top months later.
- The top 1-25: 13 merits per week, that is nearly 63-percent higher than the the second group (top 26-50) at 8. The rest two groups (top 51-75, and top 76-100) have same median at 7. (see details below)
