6181  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A case of the pandemic changing the score and affecting sports betting on: October 19, 2020, 10:13:08 PM
You don't have to guess. They are all professionals.
They wouldn't get in to the league if they are not professionals. They are professional athletes, basketball players and been through a lot before being selected.
Agree, they have been through a lot of trials and experience before being a professional player in a popular league. A professional player or an athlete player will do everything on their ability to win and experience and sports battle. Pandemic isn't a hindrance to a player, and besides protocols are implemented to avoid cases of COVID-19.

They already planned all of the possible situations they might encounter during the tournament and we should be happy that they still continue the league. Also, organizers really wanted to continue this event since there's a lot of profit on this, and the gambling industry also benefits from this sports event.
The good thing that their managements have come up with a strategy which they can still play and continue whichever league or sports they are playing.
The consideration and resolution that they have for these players and their organizations made us, the fans really happy.

Nice warning. Maybe that newbie has heard that suggestion from someone who uses coinmarketcap's newest listing where he will invest. And it has been passed on and made that as his strategy for where he will start choosing investments and projects to invest.
It could be a good strategy for others but not truly effective for everybody.
6183  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think we have more bounty hunters now because of the pandemic on: October 19, 2020, 09:05:22 PM
I think it's lesser now. It's more when we're still in 2017. But for this time, even with the pandemic, we have lesser bounty hunters. It is understandable because there are lesser bounty projects, the legit ones.
And that made many bounty hunters from before to quit because they have seen that most projects are scams.
6184  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A case of the pandemic changing the score and affecting sports betting on: October 18, 2020, 09:00:39 AM

IMHO, there's no difference w/ or w/o pandemic still most of the games are unpredictable. I don't think that this pandemic made betting harder.
There's nothing have changed since the day we've been betting. Odds, rosters, team issues, management, injuries, they haven't changed except that there's this pandemic in the midst of any match.

That is true I have seen the NBA and that was a very exciting championship series I don't see it being different if there is no pandemic, well I guess these players are professionals, they will play under any condition because that's where they are paid for and of course they know that they have fans watching at home and cheering for them, they have no choice but to give everything they've got.

6185  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Strictly for those who have ears on: October 18, 2020, 08:08:17 AM
Everyone can add any suspicious y project if you have some seen some malicious information or suspicious data that's indicated on their team just like the standards and factors that op have shared.
The project owners think that it's still going to be the same as other y projects made their fame and wealth through this trend so, they will keep coming.

We can't afford to be scam, so let's be brave to shout out who are these person that kepts deceiving everybody. Suspicious project is hard to determine, and working with it throughout the community will be the best thing to do. Hopefully we will have a telegram group that's moderated without any destructions.
Who to shoutout if they are hiding their identities in the shadow. It's best to shout out the project if you have find them very suspicious based from your own understanding and standards that you have set. Just like OP did, you can conduct your own research if you're into it.
Telegram channels are just the same, they can also be manipulated and sold unlike threads in the forum.
6186  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Stellar partners with USDC and jumps 10% on: October 18, 2020, 06:28:36 AM
IMHO, the definition of the best stable coin is subjective. For me, there's a better stable coin and that's the decentralized one.
The coin is Dai.
But for those who do like USDC and Stellar, I think they're teaming up to beat USDT which has different network built on.
6187  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: New DeFi project DINO - yield farm audit platform on: October 17, 2020, 11:53:57 PM
I search about it butvHaven't found much information about this token. Mainwhile i visited their Website and found it is created to make yield farming secure, decentralized as well as verifiable.concept seems quite good but I'm not sure about this token. No-where it is listed. Better to launch IEO from a good exchange before start token sale
There's no sense of looking at it. You check their website and you'll get this message.
dino.finance has been registered at Porkbun but the owner has not put up a site yet. Visit again soon to see what amazing website they decide to build.

For me it is much worse to say you will do something and show people you have done nothing,,, I would never come back again unless something truly amazing was there.

A lot of people talking about safer and secure. Trustswap did that. Then what happened? Rug pulls anyway.
I didn't know what happened with Trustswap but this message indicates that they "might" doing something real or, they don't really do nothing at all.
After a few days of checking it, I went back and checked it again and there's nothing new but just the same message. It's all up to you if you'll get and check them.

6190  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "10 Reasons Bitcoin Is A Terrible Investment" - A pathetic attack against BTC? on: October 17, 2020, 10:34:38 PM
Many have claimed the same for years. Many have regretted since then ...
Yes, the same descriptions and attacks. We will see more in the future when bitcoin reaches another peak. While them, they continuing what others did before.
They are discouraging people to stop investing in bitcoin. Maybe, they also have the same agenda as others who have said bitcoin is a fraud and other bad descriptions about it before.   Tongue
6191  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Curio hit 5$ in near future? on: October 17, 2020, 10:09:41 PM
https://curioinvest.com/
Hey friends, i want to talk about a newly project which name is #curio and i have lots of expectations from this project. Though i already gained profit from it. But in my queries mind i want to know all of you that what will be waited in near future for this project? Have any expert who has much knowledge about this project.
Thanks in advance.
First, I'm not an expert. I'm also one of you that's looking for projects to invest in.
But I don't like the structure of this project based on what it shows in the chart. Looks like it was priced in and went through an all time high 2 months ago. I don't think that getting in is advisable.
6192  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EGLD (Elrond) Staking on: October 17, 2020, 02:09:27 PM
Staking went live today and you can still join. While in the queue to delegate staking you get 20% rewards until it opens for all in the next few weeks which will return 29% rewards.
I'm confused about the ticker. CMC and you says it EGLD. But in some other websites like this Elrond's stake calculator it says ERD. Which is correct? or they are just the same and not that really a big issue.
https://www.stakingrewards.com/earn/elrond/calculate

ERD was the token it launched with. It then swapped to EGLD which is now the coin on the mainnet.

At the swap it was 1000 ERD = 1 EGLD and supply was reduced accordingly.
Thank you.
I'm struggling to understand why it has a different ticker with other websites. And that's what I've missed, the swapping and understanding that the EGLD is now the mainnet coin.
Thanks again bud.
No prob. Here is the hompage https://elrond.com/   if you need more info it is readily available on the community telegram. Good luck !
Sure.
I will check all the necessary details and information about elrond. Before I'm not very interested about this project but after several observation and checks about its market.
I have to take a look at it closely.
6193  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: development of coins and tokens on: October 17, 2020, 01:00:27 PM
I'm not customer but lately, I have seen a lot of individuals or teams looking for service like this. And their focus is with the defi tokens.
Much easier if you have a website to see all of your works that were done.
6194  Economy / Gambling / Re: Pretty sure Freebitco.in was hacked or emails leaked/sold -attn wetsuit on: October 17, 2020, 11:28:25 AM
So a real reset request included IP that I induced
This email in particular hasn't been shared with anything but freebitco.in's website.
You can spoof phish with a real valid looking email these days. (Sender=legit looking)
The reset request that where not induced by myself did not include an IP from the request destination.
The only person I'll personally talk to regarding this issue is wetsuit ,I highly doubt he would sell any of his data.
*the email seemed valid , sender matched previous content formatting, sender name ect. The only differences where the reset request did not have an ip log.*
How about posting your concern freebitco.in's thread? The PR of their team was the last post on that thread and is recently active.

As you have said, it could be just a spoof. The same strategy the scammers/hackers do with blockchain.com and other known services. They create professionally looked email and will send it to the people under their database.
Verify if the domain email is actually coming from freebitco.in but I doubt it that it's coming from them. Put more information for us to see.

6197  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Will UNISWAP become a centralized exchange? on: October 15, 2020, 10:18:04 PM
Given the latest hype news from Uniswap, is it possible that in the new management scheme there will be risks of centralization and possible absorption by big people?
For example, the Dharma Corporation may well exert pressure and control over Uniswap.
I'll take the example of idex which was very known before as a decentralized exchange. If it happened on idex, there's a tendency or a slight chance that it can be the same with uniswap. With the technical matters and codings, I have no idea about it.
I'm only comparing it with what we've seen with one known dex before.
Anything can happen depends on how the new management work under the UNI platform and maybe if there’s a government pressure, they’ll become a centralized exchange later on and it can affect the price of UNI for sure. What we see right now is not permanent, they will be more changes, and more development we are not sure about this one, time will tell.
Every possibility is there. What I have compared was that it's possible just like what everyone have seen with the dex that I have mentioned. Because before, no one has ever thought that idex is going to be centralized or semi centralized because it was believed to be one of the best and known decentralized exchange.
Not until things have changed.
6198  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH still going higher as our anticipatiion on: October 15, 2020, 09:28:38 PM
For entry waiting people, they can pick any price that they want. We're still under the high price of Ethereum that's speculative and it's encouraging to buy for long term decisions.
The second wave of ETH started recently after the DeFi hype and there were huge investments coming in and i am not sure how long this will last, we already saw a major correction in the DeFi market. When ETH started they had the hype that you could send the coins with much lower fees and we know the situation and whether the much hyped upgrade will sort the issue is a big question and if that did not sort the issue then the investors will rethink about the viability of the coin.
No definite time when it will last. When most of the money gets pulled out of defi market, we'll see the dumping on Eths side. But I don't think that its rise is all dependent to the defi market.
It still has some thing to be awaited for and it is the 2.0.
Lets wait until this defi hype will over, and we will see some improvements on the price of eth and btc and other altcoins.  For now lets follow were the hype is,  easy money and good profit.
Other altcoins can pump too but that's a broad opinion on which of them will have the same motion as Ethereum. I wouldn't get on the ride, I'll stay on holding Ethereum until I see that it starts to move positively.
I don't want to do the same mistake as before when I've bought during the hype and later, I didn't noticed  that the coin I've bought had started to fell.
