621  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] New altcoin ultimate calculator on: May 14, 2013, 10:24:17 AM
its not bad I guess, its dustcoin minus a few features. But meh...

Add support for all currency's that Gox uses -  %55.55 out side US to my site
Try not to use coinchoose as a data source - single point of failure - short term not so bad just cache his data?  long term is bad very bad (if he decides to close permanently your stuffed)
Try to use as many exchanges as possible and locally store the data - they go down a lot
Try to add power costs like dustcoin

Edit: you had me scared there for a minute (with the title) thought I had a direct competitor  Cheesy     (call it a mining profitably calculator)

we need a power consumption column Smiley

not sure how that would be useful

(for a mining profitability calculator it would be, but my site is not one of those)

This may also be useful for people who clear there cookies frequently Wink or for people who need multiple folios.

I absolutely love your site too! Is there a way to authenticate via twitter/something and see balances across computers?

I have been thinking about this, I dont want the user to have to sign up, i have a few ideas.

I'll look at adding royal coin and bit bar and pulling the YAC price from bter.com
631  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: cryptofolio.info - Coin Calculator !!! - Now with Yacoin ! - 15 Different Coins on: May 11, 2013, 02:30:15 PM

633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: If your YACoins were stolen, please PROVE IT on: May 11, 2013, 01:58:37 PM
agreed

ive been ruining yacoin in a vm and it hasn't touched the wallet.dat that i put in there yet

im going to leave it running a while encase it could be a time based thing or remotely controlled.

the fact that someone got posted saying there forum account was hacked says a lot...

i think the only people who get scammed here are the ones that sell there YAC cheap now
634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: **YAC Bounty Thread** on: May 11, 2013, 12:27:03 PM

636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: exchange.bytecoin.in (Maintenance) on: May 11, 2013, 10:13:13 AM
We are working on some issues and the exchange may be on or off during the evening. Sorry for the inconvenience.

did you have a API?
if no:
are you adding one now?
if no:
will you ever add one?

if not have/add API now:
are you changing the html of your main page with the prices on it?

Also for those that were wondering the last traded exchange rate before it went down was 0.00030000 BTC.
637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: will LTC miners move to BTC now on: May 11, 2013, 10:08:23 AM
im going to stay on LTC for a while..

to many altcoins imo that have a short term profitability im in this for the long term

scrypt coins are where its at for GPUs imo and LTC is largest one of them

when my BFL finally shows I will do bo0ht BTC and LTC
638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vircurex hacked! on: May 11, 2013, 09:44:36 AM
So, exchange services are not the best place to hold cryptomoney, I trust only my wallet...

fixed that for you, as in don't store cash there either Cheesy
639  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / cryptofolio.info - Free coin portfoilio with graphs!!! - Now with 432 coins !!! on: May 11, 2013, 09:30:57 AM

almost all coins

precious metals

TODO:

graph links wont work for anything that's on an DOGE, LTC or XPM market or precious metals

Let me know what you think Cheesy
640  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / Re: New command-line tool for overclocking ATI cards (Linux) on: May 10, 2013, 11:09:14 AM
Not sure where this leaves us but I did manage to get my card running at 1.000v down from 1.188v under Linux (think I can go a tiny bit lower)

Stats
Power Color HD7950 same settings machine etc on litecoin (old P4 motherboard uses 120-130 watts on its own)

533.6kh/s using ~388watts at 72 degrees c

after undervolt

555.5kh/s using ~330watts at 61 degrees c

the undervolt allows me to up the powertune to 10 (with out the temp racing up to over 90) and intensity and I was getting 580kh/s using ~335watts at ~70 degrees c

ignoring my motherboard power problem, this then gets nice and close to:

Quote
If you are paying for electricity you can get 560 kH/s for 170W (925/1250/.962V) per card plus 55W overhead for the computer via undervolting the core. - Source linky link

Considering that I haven't tried 0.962v yet

Now for the part some people wont want to hear, I hex edited the bios  Tongue

If there's enough interest perhaps ill make a thread with huge disclaimers everywhere.  HERE

Update: Got two 7950s doing ~585kh/s each the whole rig is pulling 460W at the wall (same inefficient motherboard) voltage at 0.950
