What do those mean on Everton and Arsenal selections.

Means they have to win by at least two goals for the bet/selection to win, so everything 2-0/3-1/4-2 etc. or higher. Check out this article or look for others via google, they explain it better than I can do Wink
622  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏈🏈 The American Football Discussion Thread 🏈🏈 on: September 19, 2020, 10:08:43 AM
It was also not a humiliation against the Ravens because they have the best team in the NFL. The outcome was expected.

Hehe, it was quite a beating they took imo^^ You don't lose 6-38 just like that and the expected outcome was 27-20 pro Ravens according to the bookies (HC was -7/+7, over/under 47) and I trust the work of the bookies/markets very much on average when it comes to predicting the outcome of a sport event Smiley But the Browns are just the Browns and they are a messy organization, no matter how good their roster looks on paper. I guess you could put the Chiefs and Reid - who are best team in NFL imo - into Cleveland and they would start losing too Grin

Im just not a big fan of Mayfield and the hype that is created around him.

Same here, I actually can't stand that guy, but for betting purposes I better not go by sympathy, although would have resulted in some profit in this case^^

For week2 I still like Seattle very much over the Patriots. Vikings odds look huge @Colts with 2.50 ML. Giants at 3.00 @Bears looks also tempting, but this might just be the fanboy in me.

Some lower ML odds I like (and where the HC looks good then too):

Packers 1.40 vs Lions
Bills 1.45 @Dolphins
49ers 1.35 @Jets
Bucs 1.30 vs Panthers
623  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: September 19, 2020, 09:40:25 AM
@tyKiwanuka I don’t follow Bundesliga intensely, but I do like betting on Bayern as they have a higher chance of winning(...)

Thats correct, they have the highest chance of winning games in Bundesliga, but doesn't this reflect in the odds already ? You could get them for around 1.15 yesterday and Dortmund is 1.65-ish against Gladbach this evening, strange huh ? Wink

Also I feel that you’re all wrong because Bayern doesn’t win by luck only, they work hard in the training and then on the field they’re hungry for success, and if other team lacks the intensity or the desire to win then that can’t be blamed on Bayern.

Hmm, where did I say that Bayern is lucky all the time Huh They are not, they are just brutally good. Too good for Bundesliga, or the other teams are too weak Cheesy

I respect what Bayern has achieved in the last decades and said in the past that they are the best-run football club in the world (imo). It's just boring in general to see a team being so dominant....just like Federer in Tennis was boring most of the time, like Hamilton is boring in F1 etc.
624  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Cycling Thread on: September 19, 2020, 09:12:09 AM
I always like to bet on ITT's, since you can follow your bets so easily. And ITT's in general are exciting to watch, also from an aesthetic point of view; a good TTer is just a beauty to watch.

Today we will have an ITT with a (long) mountain top finish, which is very rare in cycling, so there is some uncertainty in the markets, although we got a pretty clear picture about the riders and what they are capable of atm, since we could watch them on a daily basis in the last 3 weeks.

Oliveira tb Schachmann @1.83 7/10
Schachmann is a good TTer, but he broke his collarbone just before the TdF and he is not in top form. Oliveira is often invisible in the peloton on normal stages - one of so many unsung heroes. But when an ITT is scheduled, that is his time to shine. He did very well on a similar course in the World Championships 2017 in Bergen and I expect him to do very good today - a day where he can ride for himself and doesn't have to take care of his captains.

Kragh Andersen tb De Gendt @2.37 3/10
Normally I don't like to bet on a rider, who just had a huge win the other day. But Kragh said he will go full throttle and his form is amazing at the moment. TdG was a bit disappointing during the Tour, his form just isn't there. He can be an exceptional TTer, but today is maybe a bit too hard for him anyway.
625  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inspirational gambling quotes. on: September 19, 2020, 08:51:59 AM
And now i will only ask if professional Poker player is a gambler?

This quote sums it up pretty well:

Source: https://www.azquotes.com/quote/1519873

Pro poker players, but more so pro betting people, always have some shadiness around them for the general (ignorant) public. While stock exchange traders and investment bankers have a rather good image, are assumed to be very intelligent/successful businessmen and a lot of people look up to them, the "gamblers" are often considered lunatics, criminals and what else. But a pro poker player or professional punter does exactly the same what these "gods" do, i.e. investing money in EV+ things. Even insurances do the same: They calculate what is the possibility of you having an accident with your car and put up a - for them - valuable premium for that. They do that with millions of customers and each contract has a lot of value, thats why these companies are filthy rich Smiley

We all fell for Lyon, but at least Bayern did their job Tongue

Consensus found on Bayern, Lyon, Everton, Arsenal, Dortmund, Napoli - one additional apart from Lyon will not win I guess, maybe Dortmund. rdbase spoiled the party for Fiorentina and buwaytress for Real. No one picked the draw for Cologne game, so this will surely end X Cheesy For the rest all possible outcomes were picked at least once. @tomahawk9 @Avirunes feel free to still post your picks and I will add them. Good luck for the next 13 everyone.
627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: September 18, 2020, 08:13:55 PM
So lets start with the opening game from 1st Bundesliga.

And I was dead wrong with my bold predicition that Schalke might be able to snatch a point here. They should consider themselves lucky, if they don't lose by double digits. Amazing what Bayern plays after only one week of preparation. They could win all 34 Bundesliga games, if they stay healthy, it's just another level. I think I will start some kind of a challenge and play a 33-legged parlay betting on Bayern all season and going all-in every time. Maybe some safety net included with double chance when playing in Dortmund/Leverkusen/Leipzig/Gladbach.

I know we have some Bayern fans here - do you enjoy watching these matches ? I find it utterly boring to watch Bayern in Bundesliga, because when you know the result beforehand, it's just lame.
628  Local / Deutsch (German) / Re: Bitcoin & die Steuer - FAQ on: September 18, 2020, 10:02:14 AM

629  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football in China - The Chinese Super League on: September 18, 2020, 09:22:53 AM
Tianjin Teda - Shijazhuang / Shijazhuang ML @2.07 4/10

No more bets involving Shijazhuang, they never do what they are supposed to do Grin 1-1 FT

A bet from Chinese Cup for today, starting in around 2 hours:

Guangzhou Evergrande - Henan / Guangzhou AHC -2 @1.775 8/10

Big bet here, since Henan will rest some players and be without any import players today from what I heard. Henan is poor anyway as I wrote above, the last results against poorer opposition and with full squad: 1-3 / 1-3 / 0-4 / 2-5. Evergrande should at least win with two goal margin (push then), but this could also be a blowout like 5-0+.

Totally turnaround from Söder. Typical Politicans.

And he made a 180 again Grin Well, actually it was the mayor of Munich, who vetoed the decision and now there won't be any spectators.....until some local shaman from Fröttmaning allows them again Cool What a chaos.....
631  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Cycling Thread on: September 17, 2020, 10:21:51 PM
Normally this stage will be for the sprinters (...)

Normally, yes, but some things to consider:

Who is interested in a sprint royale ? QuickStep not, they will be happy if the group takes the big sprint points. Bora not, because Sagan couldn't catch up a lot of points then (will even lose some more points most likely). Same for Trentin/CCC. All other teams have not good enough sprinters, to put some guys at the front to chase the group, so they won't help. So that leaves all work to chase the group for Lotto and they only have 4 riders besides Ewan left Wink Would be better for Lotto to put some rider themselves in the group (de Gendt) and then sit back and wait, if the groups get caught, where Ewan could then contest the sprint. But I don't think anyone will chase tomorrow, if Lotto has a rider in the group.

This is the last chance for a lot of riders and teams to win a stage, so expect a big group to try their luck with like 75% of the teams present there. The stage is relatively short and not easy control with quite some up and down, especially in the last 60km. All riders in the group will have a chance to win the stage, since although it's hilly, it's not too demanding, i.e. no team will say "ah, our guy is too weak, lets chase them down".

I think Sagan will try to get into the group, but QS won't allow of course. He will give up sooner or later and let the green jersey go and a Sagan-less group will determine the winner of this stage. If the group isn't too far away in the more hilly terrain, he could do some stunt though and go on the attack, maybe getting some help from Bora guys that managed to get in the attackers group earlier.

What it is interesting to figure out is if he is right about Brady, Brady did not look sharp at all but that is understandable since there was no preseason but if he still looks like that after week 5 or 6 then there is going to be trouble for Tampa Bay.

I mentioned this some weeks ago, that it will also be interesting to see what kind of offense they will use in the end. More of a Bruce Arians offense or more dink and dunk what the Patriots used to play. It looked rather Patriot-ish against the Saints, though Brady did throw some deeper balls and had success with these against an average Saints secondary. But I am not sure, if Brady is comfortable doing this the whole season and against better defenses and if he (still) has the accuracy.

My gut feeling says that we will see rather few points in general, since most teams will be rusty due to short preparation time and they haven't played competitive football for ages.

Gut feeling was wrong here, we saw quite some points, 47+ on average over all games with 9 overs and 7 unders in the end.

TNF features the matchup, which also happened to be the matchup, when I watched my first NFL game ever: Browns vs Bengals. Burrow did well in his first game and Bengals should have won this game maybe in the end as morvillz7z mentioned. The kicker could have at least sent the game to OT, but it wasn't meant to be. Browns will have some film on Burrow now and studied it a bit during the short week. After the humiliation at the Ravens, I expect to see a different Browns team this night and also a more productive OBJ in prime time (only 22yds with 10 targets at Ravens). The odds look about right, but for the fun of it, I placed a bet on Browns HC-6 @1.99 for small stakes.

(...) 10 games out of the 12 were concluded already, (...) it was a 5k bet (...) At that point I started calling people I was owing to forward their account numbers for me to settle my debts.
(...) I haven't won 260k at a stretch but I have won more than that from bettings

People always talk about bad luck when the last game of a big parlay loses, but in fact, it was super lucky to even get to that point - but I feel your pain Smiley I don't play such big parlays, but had good winnings taken away from me with late goals or some other crazy stuff. I am sure I also had a lot of things going my way, but you forget those ones more easily.

What I wonder with your story: If you make such good money with betting, why in the world do you owe money to people ?

And another question: Do you always play such big parlays (with what it looks like mainstream football leagues) ? Is this what you do all the time or was it just some fun bet (for 5k Grin) ? If no, what is your "normal" style of betting ?

With the more exciting, interesting and more predictable football matches being back in the MM, I will resume my what-the-heck-did-all-the-users-in-here-pick-overview-service-competition as well Cool So keep your picks coming to make it into the list of glory:

It's really convenient not having to do a lot of research (for those that did) and just pick the results with the - maybe at least little - knowledge one has about the leagues. If the results will be any better is to be seen though, since it's the same advantage for everyone Smiley Good luck guys.

636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ BitcoinPRBuzz.com's ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: September 17, 2020, 08:49:06 AM
I guess the problem is not a lack of fans but a lack of crypto users who are also interested in La Liga?

It's a lack of users posting in the gambling sections that do actually place bets or are even interested in football/sports in general Wink Most people just post here, because they are forced to by their signature campaign requirements. In most threads you only find general discussions about a league or sport, but rarely specific bets, let alone proper analysis, it's just bla bla most of the time. My guess is, that only 5% of people posting in gambling boards do in fact place some bets from time to time (or play Casino, Poker etc.).

EPL is quite big here, because it's the biggest league. There are quite a lot people from UK here and sportsbetting has a long tradition there. Spain isn't a country, where sportsbetting is that popular and as pointed out earlier here, lots of spaniards struggle with english.

And then the entry fee is too high for lots of people as well.
637  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: September 17, 2020, 08:29:32 AM
Didn't know that with Bayern. Good decision.

Well, as Lafu wrote, there actually will be 7.5k fans present in Allianz Arena now, which was decided yesterday after my post.
I see lots of people here in this thread being against spectators, which surprises me. 20% of capacity is fine I think and shouldn't create a lot of problems, if the fans follow the guidelines just a little bit. We saw this working well in most of the stadiums during the cup games (apart from Rostock of course Grin) and I think it will be a "success" in Bundesliga as well.

~snip~

All valid points Smiley It's maybe just a gut feeling from my side and players missing is often overrated imo, especially in Bundesliga, where the teams have deep rosters. And Stuttgart is overrated as well Grin With the team they had for last season in 2. Bundesliga, they should have fixed promotion in round 25, but they were struggling for a long time. They had their troubles in cup game at Rostock as well and Freiburg isn't too bad in away games in general; last season: 4-7-6, so they didn't lose 65% of their away games. Stuttgart should be slight favourite here, 2.25 is a bit too low.
638  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: September 16, 2020, 11:34:00 AM
Spectators in the stadiums are allowed.

Bayern will still keep on playing behind closed doors though, since the Corona numbers in Munich are too high and Bavaria has been very strict with their rules anyway all the time.

But all in all I think it's a good decision - at least football-wise Wink Those 10k spectators in Dresden on Monday already gave a good atmosphere and made watching the game more pleasant again.

These are the matchups and average odds for first round:

Source: https://www.oddsportal.com/soccer/germany/bundesliga/

Bayern looks very short considering since they didn't play since CL final. Schalke only had some test matches as well - their cup game was postponed - but it wouldn't surprise me, if this is a close game, maybe Schalke will even take a point.

Freshly promoted teams tend to do very good at the start of a season, so Bielefeld X2 might be worth a shot. Frankfurt shouldn't be below 1.70 here, something around 1.90 would be more reasonable imo. Stuttgart otoh is too low, although they have a very good H2H record in this derby (didn't lose against Freiburg for 7 years).

For 2. Bundesliga we have this schedule:

Source: https://www.oddsportal.com/soccer/germany/2-bundesliga/

Odds look ok-ish for all games, maybe Nürnberg is too short, this is a derby as well. Kiel - Paderborn should be an exciting one with lots of goals. In general I am curious how Paderborn will do this season and if they will be able to execute their offensive concept more properly again in 2. Bundesliga.
639  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ BitcoinPRBuzz.com's ⚽ Spanish La Liga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread on: September 15, 2020, 10:32:22 AM
I propose we pay out the rewards if more than half season gets played and return the entry fee in case it does not.

I am fine with that - probably my only chance to get something in return here^^ Don't think the season will get canceled due to Corona though; they have already higher numbers than in spring now and these hygiene concepts work very well in general. Too much money involved Wink

Prize structure looks good as well. Thanks again for taking care of things.
640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football in China - The Chinese Super League on: September 14, 2020, 04:27:54 PM
Chongqing - Hebei / Hebei -0.25 @1.83 5/10

Henan - Shenzhen / Shenzhen ML @1.94 5/10
Dalian - Shanghai Shenhua / Dalian -0.25 @1.76 4/10

Hebei really pathetic, even lost the game, which gives Chongqing some hope for Top4 again, 3-1 FT.
Shenzhen lead 3-0 early, 3-1 FT, no sweat.
Some bad luck again with a late goal against us in the Dalian game, 1-1 FT, but only half stake lost Tongue

These are the stats for the season so far:

Profit: +4.72
Yield: 5.55%
W-L: 9-9-1
Win rate: 50.00%
Average Stake: 4.47
Average Odds: 2.11

Not very happy with those, has to get better, but at least no loss Smiley

Tianjin Teda - Shijazhuang / Shijazhuang ML @2.07 4/10

This time a bet on Shijazhuang and not against them. According to Murphys Law, they will not win now Grin But they are really on a good run and 3 points in this match will bring them a big step nearer the Top4. Wuhan and Hebei have very hard matches against SIPG/Beijing, so Shijazhuang could run away a bit from those two in the table. Tianjin has nothing to play for and with 0-1-9 and 7-25 goal differential they are by far the worst team in CSL right now. These two teams will meet in a cup match on September 19th and Tianjin will probably concentrate on that one and rest some players. A 3for3 is also possible (Shijazhuang gets the 3 points in league match and Tianjin gets the cup win). First match was 3-0 for Shijazhuang earlier this season.
