I haven't watched any game, but I took a look at this one after all. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oUKDf16PiJA
This is after the game Dresden – HSV. Leistner (from HSV) is said to have been massively insulted. When the insults then went below the belt and against his wife and children, "he asked the viewer to talk".  Roll Eyes

Duisburg would have needed a perfect evening to have any chance against Dortmund at all. Now it was quite the opposite: Penalty, red card, deflected free kicks etc.

I really hope Dortmund finally manages to bring a constant performance on the pitch for once this season. Sancho, Reyna, Bellingham, Haaland, Reinier ... so many talented young player. If the more experienced ones like Hummels, Witsel, Reuss and Co. can guide them and to form a team with them, Dortmund should (at least on paper) have the potential to compete with Bayern and also to play a good role in the UCL and DFB Pokal.

Yeah Duisburg got a really shity day on the evening when they played .

I also think that Dortmund will for sure the only team that probably can beat and compete Bayern Munich.
They have the players for and also the 2 new players fits fully into the playing what Dortmund makes.
Looking forward to the match when day both playing against each other.

Dortmund still retained most of their stars last season, there have not been many changes in their squad and there will likely be significant competition for Munich this season. Dortmund started the match well when they won with a score of 5-0 and could be a sign of danger for Bayern Munich this season. Bayern Munich still has the same composition of players this season and will be more coherent in their game, losing Coutinho does not really affect the Munich game because Coutinho spent more time on the bench last season.

The ghost games are over. Spectators in the stadiums are allowed. It will start at Friday with a six weeks test phase where a maximum of 20 % of the capacity from the stadium are allowed.
Does anybody from here try to get a ticket for watching the games in the stadium?

Spectators in the stadiums are allowed.

Bayern will still keep on playing behind closed doors though, since the Corona numbers in Munich are too high and Bavaria has been very strict with their rules anyway all the time.

But all in all I think it's a good decision - at least football-wise Wink Those 10k spectators in Dresden on Monday already gave a good atmosphere and made watching the game more pleasant again.

These are the matchups and average odds for first round:

Source: https://www.oddsportal.com/soccer/germany/bundesliga/

Bayern looks very short considering since they didn't play since CL final. Schalke only had some test matches as well - their cup game was postponed - but it wouldn't surprise me, if this is a close game, maybe Schalke will even take a point.

Freshly promoted teams tend to do very good at the start of a season, so Bielefeld X2 might be worth a shot. Frankfurt shouldn't be below 1.70 here, something around 1.90 would be more reasonable imo. Stuttgart otoh is too low, although they have a very good H2H record in this derby (didn't lose against Freiburg for 7 years).

For 2. Bundesliga we have this schedule:

Source: https://www.oddsportal.com/soccer/germany/2-bundesliga/

Odds look ok-ish for all games, maybe Nürnberg is too short, this is a derby as well. Kiel - Paderborn should be an exciting one with lots of goals. In general I am curious how Paderborn will do this season and if they will be able to execute their offensive concept more properly again in 2. Bundesliga.

Didn't know that with Bayern. Good decision.

The atmosphere was better than before, indeed. But if you look how many from the spectators didn't wear a mask or were standing very close together (no social distancing), I'm not very happy with it.

I find it so difficult, to bet. To talk about Bayern is worthless. I guess, Schalke will have no chance.
I wouldn't go for Bielefeld, because they have lost their game in DFB Pokal against Essen.

For sure it will be bring more atmosphere and also guess it will boost the playing for the Teams.
You saw that in the match between Dresden and Hamburg if you have seen this match .
Dreseden got pushed from the fans and played very well .

But you are right with the no social distancing , and i guess its will be just a matter of time if the first cases maybe show up.

I was also surprised when I first noticed that the bookmakers estimate the chance of a win for the Stuttgart team so much higher. But if you think more about it, it kind of makes sense to me.

Firstly because of Freiburgs poor history against the VFB (you already mentioned). Considering that it's an away game for Freiburg makes things look even worse for them (last win of Freiburg against the VFB in Stuttgart was even 9 years ago). Furthermore - I already mentioned it some time ago - Freiburg lost some of their key players with Schwolow, Waldschmidt and Koch ... and now also their new No. 1, Flekken, has suffered a serious injury. Will Uphoff play on Saturday or will Flekkens replacement, which was signed on short notice from Mainz, play already? Also Freiburg is still looking for a player that takes over Kochs place. Right now they only have Keitel and Abrashi for the place next to Höfler. And even if they make the transfer of Santamaria from SCO Angers perfect, he probably won't be an option for Saturday already.

Long story short ... I can now understand the odds for Stuttgart. Wouldn't really say that they are too low actually. Freiburg looks like they are still in the middle of finding their new team and time will have to tell if they manage to be as competitive as last season after this transfer summer.

The first match in the new season on Friday between Bayern Munich and Schalke can be watched from 7500 Fans.
This was decided from Markus Söder and some other peoples in Munich.
Would be a nice opening game for both to play with Fans.

Didn't know that with Bayern. Good decision.

Well, as Lafu wrote, there actually will be 7.5k fans present in Allianz Arena now, which was decided yesterday after my post.
I see lots of people here in this thread being against spectators, which surprises me. 20% of capacity is fine I think and shouldn't create a lot of problems, if the fans follow the guidelines just a little bit. We saw this working well in most of the stadiums during the cup games (apart from Rostock of course Grin) and I think it will be a "success" in Bundesliga as well.

~snip~

All valid points Smiley It's maybe just a gut feeling from my side and players missing is often overrated imo, especially in Bundesliga, where the teams have deep rosters. And Stuttgart is overrated as well Grin With the team they had for last season in 2. Bundesliga, they should have fixed promotion in round 25, but they were struggling for a long time. They had their troubles in cup game at Rostock as well and Freiburg isn't too bad in away games in general; last season: 4-7-6, so they didn't lose 65% of their away games. Stuttgart should be slight favourite here, 2.25 is a bit too low.

Totally turnaround from Söder. Typical Politicans.

Well, I would like to join a game. But I don't think everyone will keep social distance. And you can talk with some fans and with some fans not. But was make me more worried is the way from and to the stadiums regarding to social distance.

I mean if they keep the social distance it would be no problem but mostly and i guess they dont doing it !
But we will see how Bayern Munich will manage that on Friday .
Hope that there will be no problem between the Fans who can get it in and who not in the front of the Stadium.

My bet for Friday is a 3 to 1 win for Bayern Munich  Smiley

Edit and update :

The opening Match between Bayern and Schalke will be now played without Fans !
This was decided of the town Munich because of the growning cases from new Corona Infections.

Actually I wouldn't pick a side in that match either. Looking at the last matches between these two teams, I would probably go for BTTS - in 6 out of their last 8 matches we saw goals for both teams. Or even better could be a bet on over 2.5 - in 7 out of their last 8 matches we saw 3+ goals.

In a few hours the Bundesliga will begin with the opening match of Bayern vs Schalke, of course some gambling sites favor Bayern.
I also bet on Bayern's victory, based on my analysis Bayern will win easily with a score that is big enough 5-0. Then regarding the
increase in Corona cases in Munich, it is best if the match is run without spectators.

Bayern Munich is still predicted to win easily against Schalke, this is inseparable from how Bayern Munich has mastered the Bundesliga for a very long time, even in the last few seasons there has been no stiff competition to disrupt Bayern Munich's dominance to become champions. Will be easy for Bayern Munchen to get winning above score 4 - 0 although right now Liverpool make Bayern bad news after confirmed Thiago Silva want to play for Liverpool, I think will give bad impact because Thiago Silva is most contribution player for Bayern Munchen last season and have success give champion league trophy for Bayern Munchen.

The 2. Bundesliga has already started and finished their first two games at this evening. Regensburg – Nürnberg and Hamburg – Düsseldorf. The first game ends with a draw 1:1 and Hamburg won 2:1 against Düsseldorf. Düsseldorf scored in the 93rd minutes and I guess many fans have thought, Hamburg would lost its advantage again lie it was in the last season.

So lets start with the opening game from 1st Bundesliga.

Bayern is already ahead with 1 goal in the very first 5 minutes played.
It seems that they are going to be unbeaten this season as well and it would be difficult for their opponents to win them.
