Many of us may have read that 2018 will be game over for bitcoin.Every now and then have seen that every Tom, Dick & Harry Coin claims that their blockchain technology is better than bitcoin and they will solve the real issue with bitcoin network but in reality no one is even close to that.
Is there a alternate to bitcoin to replace it?
Can this crypto economy survive without bitcoin?
Blockchain is the future so it would not die. Even bitcoin could die there are still any source of income available today. But I see no possibility that bitcoin including blockchain will die since this is the future of cashless society by using this kind of technology. If something like you've said the Tom, Dick & Harry Coin have a better technology then ok. At least the bitcoin pioneered the cashless idea and still be acknowledged. Crypto economy will survived once it goes to the good hands. |

Does Any new set of rules changed in Bitcointalk forum Ranks in Jr Member Member and Full Member Rank Activity
It affects the users' future income since the merit delayed the promotion of ranks. But if this is the only purpose of joining the forum and just taking advantage for it and do spams I think it is no good. People will just abuse and abuse it so I think mr theymos immediately put a merit system to get rid of those abuse and make the forum clean again. |

I wonder.  It looks like the people posting here don't have that much btc/cash/funds and are almost all small fish. One of the reasons is of course the bounty hunters. People with >100btc don't need bounties. People with >1000btc don't need this forum lol... So I wonder, all the fud, shilling etc here. Does it really have an impact on prices? I tend to believe we are all manipulated big time by real whales with 100's and 1000's of btc. If a group of eth hodlers of several 100k eth decide together: let's go down today, then we will go down. When prices are down enough they decide to go up. Thoughts? This pattern is the most obvious on reall small exchanges with bullshit coins. Look at some of them! You KNOW they are worth nothing and all of a sudden they moon and drop. We may not have a huge amount of bitcoins at least we could show the bitcoin is mainstream and more and more investors will come and earn even 1 bitcoin. If those holders have a huge number of bitcoins which could destroy the market by dumping bitcoins there is still a way for it to stop since the demand is high same for ethereum. But I think this dumping is mostly possible on altcoins. |

It could still grow to up to $20k or more but the growth rate is not the same what happened last several months because of regulations from the countries that wants the authorization to bitcoin. Wish for another fork and maybe it could rise again with the same rate as last several months (December 2017 to be specific).

Currently I only have a marketcoincap app and wanted to expand my apps.
What good ones do you use?
I use Blockfolio to save mobile data since browsing chrome and open coinmarketcap could drain more mobile data rather than downloading the app then use it without browsing chrome. Another is my local wallet which is coins.ph for exchangine bitcoin to our local currency which is philippine peso. Then lastly is the coinbase for a real bitcoin storage since it has a great reputation and because of it, it caught my interest to download the app. |

I think all of us here knows that there are a lot of Initial Coin Offerings (ICOs) which are scams and some aren't but their coin or token projects are somehow useless that it might not a potential for a long term hold in the future.
Let us be true to ourselves, alternative coins are made and should be made to become a better bitcoin or to have a better characteristics and purpose just like bitcoin. But today, lot of alternative coins are just going with the flow of the river. After they launch and be listed, some developers dump it and the coin or token will just a more useless one. These are my thoughts.
Please help me. What are you qualitifications of a good to hold long term alternative coin or token? I am a man with patience and waiting is my virtue. Suggest also a good coin to buy that has potential and I will check its whitepaper and other factors. Thank you so mucn. More power everyone! Good day!
It is not suggested to invest on before ICOs but better on finished ICOs since that finished ICOs are already under development and could rise any time of the year. Unlike before ICOs the price will start lower than the initial price and it takes a long time to hodl it. Instead of investing on fresh ICOs better find that are already listed from trading site that are a year old or higher for maximum efficiency (less time greater earnings). |

This scenario is only normal in the crypto world. That is why trading bitcoins and altcoins are the best way to earn profit because of the collapse and rise of price. With proper instinct we could easily earn and it could be more rewarding rather than holding. Prices recover it shows the sign to get ready for a profit and some people loses hope like they're just only bitcoin to just earn effortlessly.
